Mr. Ronald L. Ensley Sr., 73, died Tuesday, May 12, 1998, at University Hospital.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Cliffwood Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Charles Rector officiating. Burial will be in Westover Memorial Park.

Mr. Ensley, a native of Andrews, N.C., was a retired insurance salesman and an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of Cliffwood Presbyterian Church, where he was a member of Brunner Sunday School Class and served as church treasurer, elder and deacon.

Survivors include his wife, Betty R. Ensley; two sons, Kendall Ensley, Martinez, and Ronnie Ensley, Blythe; two daughters, Linda Walker, Martinez, and Teresa Palmer, Augusta; three brothers, Austin Ensley and Wilton Ensley, both of Andrews, and Melvin Ensley, Cramertown, N.C.; three sister, Mildred Wood, Alcoa, Tenn., Doris Grogen, Canton, N.C., and Nova West, Andrews; and eight grandchildren.

Honorary pallbearers will be elders and deacons of Cliffwood Presbyterian Church.

Memorials may be made to Cliffwood Presbyterian Church, 2525 Lumpkin Road, Augusta, GA 30906.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Elliott Sons Funeral Home, Lumpkin Road.

Ms. Grace Hall

Retired business owner

WRIGHTSVILLE, Ga. -- Ms. Grace Jackson Hall, 85, died Wednesday, May 13, 1998.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at First Christian Church with the Rev. Harold Rice officiating. Burial will be in Westview cemetery" target="_blank">Cemetery.

Ms. Hall, a native of Johnson County, was retired as the owner of Hall Brothers Department Store. She was a member of First Christian Church, where she served as a musician.

Survivors include one son, William Robert Hall, Wrightsville; one sister, Gladys Jackson Hendry, Wrightsville; and two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Pallbearers will be Curtis Jackson, Jimmy Jackson, Billy Jackson, James Tanner, Jo Summer and Jimmy Brantley.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Richard & Joyce Stanley Funeral Home.

Mr. Robert Hebler

Army retiree

Mr. Robert Henry Hebler, 83, of 2502 Hastings Drive, died Wednesday, May 13, 1998, at his residence.

The funeral will be at 4 p.m. Friday at Elliott Sons Funeral Home, Lumpkin Road, with the Rev. Sam Zebron officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park.

Mr. Hebler, a native of Vicksburg, Miss., was retired from the civil service and the Army, where he was a veteran of World War II. He was a Catholic.

Survivors include his wife, Edith W. Hebler; three daughters, Dagmar Kolesar, Gainesville, Beatrix McGee, Grovetown, and Diane Hebler, Atlanta; two brothers, William Hebler and Patrick Hebler, both of Vicksburg; one sister, Maggie Mae Hatchett, Vicksburg; and five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Joseph Kolesar, Charles Davis, James Robinette, Michael Kolesar, Allen McGee and Stephen Firestiene.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Charles Howell

PEMBROKE, Ga. -- Mr. Charles ``Bug" William Howell, 39, died Monday, May 11, 1998, at his residence.

Graveside services will be at 4 p.m. Friday in Upper Mill Creek Primitive Baptist Church cemetery" target="_blank">Cemetery with the Rev. Roy Jarriel officiating.

Mr. Howell, a native of Chatham County, was employed with American Transmission, Savannah.

Survivors include two sons, Charles Howell Jr., Canton, Texas, and Walter Howell, Glenville; one daughter, Latasha Howell, Canton; his father, J.W. Howell, Grand Prairie, Texas; four sisters, Sherri Cox, Diane Lockhart and Mary Mingle, all of Statesboro, and Donna Howell, Grand Prairie; and one grandchild.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. today at Joiner-Shepard Funeral Home, Statesboro.

Mr. Grady Johnson

Maintenance worker

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Mr. Grady Johnson, 35, of 2583 Chatman Drive, died Friday, May 8, 1998.

The funeral will be at 12:30 p.m. Friday at Dent's Funeral Home with the Rev. Herman Bing officiating. Burial will be in Walker Memorial Park.

Mr. Johnson, a native of Augusta, was a maintenance worker.

Survivors include his father, Grady Johnson Sr.; one brother, Patrick Glenn Johnson; one stepbrother, George M. Johnson, Philadelphia; two sisters, Gracie Lee Johnson and Juliette Kirk; and two stepsisters, Earlene Ferron and Isabelle Johnson.

Madison and Jeredine Madison, both of Belvedere, and Lucille Brown, Upper Marlboro, Md.; one brother, Abron Nabritt, New York; and 17 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Mr. Thomas M. Mock, 77, of Belair Road, died Tuesday, May 12, 1998, at Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Poteet Funeral Home, Wheeler Road, with the Rev. Al Haywood officiating. Burial will be in Bellevue Memorial Gardens, Grovetown.

Mr. Mock, a native of Mishawaka, Ind., was retired from the Army and was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He had been an instructor with the civil service and was a member of the Masons, Fleming Lodge 718.

Survivors include one son, Tommy Mock, Warsaw, Ind.; three daughters, Debbie Durham, Augusta, Karin Puffenberger, Martinez, and Becky Walls, Pierceton, Ind.; and four grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be members of the Army honor guard.

Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Masons, Fleming Lodge 718.

Survivors include her husband, William ``Bill" Pafford; two sons, Benjamin Ashley Pafford, Acworth, and Christopher Clinton Pafford, Valdosta; her mother, Barbara Siemer, Eldorado; her stepmother, Patricia Scheuerman, Cherry Lake, Fla.; two brothers, Scott and Terry Scheuerman, Eldorado, Kan.; three sisters, Tina Pondy, Augusta, Teresa Kaufman, Manhattan, Kan., and Donna Coder, Marietta; and her maternal grandparents, Ray and Mildred Geer, Potwin, Kan.

The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Friday at Western Hill Baptist Church and from 3 to 4 p.m. Saturday at Carson-McLane Funeral Home.
