BRUNSWICK, Ga. -- Ms. Frances Jeannette McDowell Blaylock, 74, died Thursday, May 21, 1998.

The funeral will be at 4 p.m. Sunday at Brunswick Memorial Park Funeral Home with the Rev. H. Neil Helton officiating. Burial will be in Brunswick Memorial Park cemetery" target="_blank">Cemetery.

Ms. Blaylock, a native of Brunswick, was a floral designer and a member of Norwich Baptist Church, the Eastern Star, Women of the Moose and Daughters of the Nile.

Survivors include two sons, Charles L. Crews, Grovetown, and John C. Hamilton, Fernandina; three daughters, Marilyn Baird and Carol McClantoc, both of Brunswick, and Charlotte Brown, Darien; one brother, Malder Sanders, Brunswick; one sister, Mae Abbott, Brunswick; and 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be John M. Baird, Robert J. Jones Jr., Drew Radenhausen, Thomas MacManus, J. Chris Hamilton and Andrew Todd Hamilton.

Honorary pallbearers will be members of Ocean Lodge and Mandarin Lodge.

Memorials may be made to Moose Haven, 1701 Park Ave., Orange Park, FL 32073; or Norwich Baptist Church building fund.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Ms. Regina Diers

VILLA RICA, Ga. -- Ms. Regina Bell Diers, 28, died Tuesday, May 26, 1998.

The funeral will be at 4 p.m. Saturday at Richard & Joyce Stanley Funeral Home, Dublin. Burial will be in Northview cemetery" target="_blank">Cemetery, Dublin.

Ms. Diers, a native of Fulton County, was a server at Folks Restaurant in Douglasville. She was a Baptist.

Survivors include a son, James Baskin Vaughn, Hornwall, Tenn.; her father, Richard Bell, Villa Rica; her mother, Sandra U. Walker, Villa Rica; her stepmother, Sheila H. Bell, Villa Rica; three sisters, Tina Bell and Tonya Bell, both of Villa Rica, and Shealey Moore, Douglasville; and two brothers, Ricky Bell, Christina, Tenn., and Lloyd Shealey, Villa Rica.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mrs. Florence Dinkins

Homemaker

Mrs. Florence Taylor Dinkins, 86, of Forest Lake Manor, died Monday, May 25, 1998, at St. Joseph Hospital.

Private services will be held Saturday at Hillcrest Memorial Park Mausoleum with the Rev. Don Railey officiating.

Mrs. Dinkins, a native of Augusta, was a homemaker and a member of the foster grandparents program at Gracewood State School and Hospital. She was a Baptist.

Survivors include a son, Jack Fountain, North Augusta; and two grandchildren.

Elliott Sons Funeral Home, Telfair Street, is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. George Fedeles

J&L Steel Co. retiree

BATH -- Mr. George Fedeles, 77, of 224 Anthony Drive, died Tuesday, May 26, 1998, in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Gloverville First Baptist Church with the Revs. Joe Youngblood and Frank Barker officiating. Burial will be in Langley cemetery" target="_blank">Cemetery, Langley.

Mr. Fedeles, a native of Manaca, Pa., had retired from J&L Steel Co. A resident of Bath for 25 years, he was a member of Gloverville First Baptist Church, where he was a member of the men's Bible class. He was an Army veteran of World War II, where he served with the 4th Division in Europe and received a Purple Heart after being wounded.

Survivors include a son, Wayne Fedeles, Fort Lauderdale; three brothers, John Fedeles, Orange City, Fla., Andy Fedeles, Waynesville, N.C., and Edward Fedeles, Pawley Island; and two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Brian Adkinson, Randy Morgan, Ronnie Duncan, Steve Lowe, Wayne Hadden, Harold Clark and Elmore Attaway.

Friends may call at the residence of Jack Adkison, 181 Duncan Road, or from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at Hatcher Funeral Home, Langley.

Mr. Alan Gildea

Laboratory technician

Date of announcement: May 29, 1998

Mr. Alan Michael Gildea, 50, of Hebbard Drive, Evans, died Tuesday, May 26, 1998, at his residence.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Barnes Avenue Friendship Chapel Building No. 25603, Fort Gordon. Burial will be at a later date in Roslindale, Mass.

Mr. Gildea, a native of Roslindale, was a laboratory technician with the Columbia County Water Department. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War and achieved the rank of sergeant first class. He also was a member of the Georgia State Defense Force, where he held the rank of command sergeant major. He was a Catholic.

Survivors include two sons, Scott D. Gildea, Jacksonville, Fla. and Sean Michael Gildea, Augusta.

Poteet Funeral Home, Peach Orchard Road, is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. John Griffith

Retired civil servant

BATESBURG, S.C. -- Mr. John Daniel Griffith, 76, of Route 3 Mount Willing Road, died Wednesday, May 27, 1998, at Providence Hospital, Columbia.

The funeral will be at 4 p.m. Saturday at Sardis Baptist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery" target="_blank">cemetery.

Mr. Griffith, a native of Saluda County, had retired as a civil servant and was a cattle farmer. An Army veteran of World War II, he had served in the European Campaign and after the war served in the Air Force as a recruiter. He was a member of VFW, Saluda Masonic Lodge No. 103 and Sardis Baptist Church, where he was a member of the adult men's Sunday school class. He was a former member of the American Legion.

Survivors include his wife, Mildred Cockrell Wilson Griffith; a son, Keith Hayne Griffith, Orlando, Fla.; a daughter, Debrah Griffith Matthews, Columbia; a stepson, Darron Wilson, Saluda; three brothers, Virgil J. Griffith, Saluda, William W. Griffith, Ninety Six, and James B. Griffith, Charlotte, N.C.; four sisters, Vivian G. Webb, Saluda, Lota G. Payne and Kate G. Mullinax, both of Donalds, and Opal G. Pitt, Ware Shoals; and eight grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Sardis Baptist Church, Route 4, Saluda, SC 29138; or Red Bank Baptist Church, 309 E. Church St., Saluda, SC 29138.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Ramey Funeral Home, Saluda.

Mr. Orie Johnson Sr.

Railroad company retiree

VALDOSTA, Ga. -- Mr. Orie Willie Johnson Sr., 78, of 102 West St., died Tuesday, May 26, 1998.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Evergreen Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Alvin Carter officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Hill cemetery" target="_blank">Cemetery.

Mr. Johnson, a native of Glascock County, had retired from Atlantic Seaboard Coastline Railroad Co. He was a member of Evergreen Missionary Baptist Church, where he served as chairman of the deacon board, Sunday school superintendent, Sunday school teacher and church treasurer. He also was president of the Evergreen Pallbearers Lodge No. 47. He was a lifetime member of the Brotherhood Maintenance of Way Employees and served as president.

Survivors include his wife, Ethel Clyde Johnson; a son, Orie Johnson Jr., Wrens; three sisters, Mary Johnson, Shadyside, Md., Ollie Smith, Southland, Md., and Minnie Winfrey, Louisville; and five grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Friends may call at the residence or at Scott and Roberts Mortuary.

Burnett Funeral Home, Wrens, is in charge of local arrangements.

Mrs. Sadie LeValle

Mrs. Sadie Bell Royal LeValle, 81, of 712 Johns Road, died Tuesday, May 26, 1998, at her residence.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Woodlawn United Methodist Church with the Rev. David Rooks officiating. Burial will be in Walker Memorial Park.

Mrs. LeValle, a native of Screven County, Ga., was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Mark United Methodist Church, where she was a member of United Methodist Women, stewardship board, parish relations committee, Sunday school and choir. She attended Bascomb Elementary School and Screven County Training School.

Survivors include six sons, Charles LeValle and Colonel LeValle III, both of Augusta, Carl LeValle Sr. and Caro LeValle Jr. , Holyoke, Mass., Matthew LeValle, Alexandria, Va., and Joseph LeValle, San Diego; two daughters, Shirley Markle, Augusta, and Thedoshia Brown, Lauderdale Lakes, Fla.; four sisters, Irene Mobley and Lillie Wright, both of Sylvania, Ga., Juanita Crawford, Waynesboro, Ga., and Mary Royal, Jersey City, N.J.; and 14 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Friends may call at the residence.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Williams Funeral Home.

Mr. Mike Pagano

TINTON FALLS, N.J. -- Mr. Mike Walter Pagano, 51, of 1 Julia Court, died Sunday, May 24, 1998, in Cumming, Ga.

Mr. Pagano was cremated.

Mr. Pagano, a native of Pennsylvania, was a logistics manager and an Army veteran.

Survivors include his wife, Maria Pagano; his parents, Charles and Henrietta Pagano, Augusta; and a sister, Toni Selby, Cumming.
