Mrs. Waltraud Murchie, 77, of 2541 Milledgeville Road, died Wednesday, June 24, 1998, at Dwight D. Eisenhower Army Medical Center, Fort Gordon.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Starling Funeral Home, Harlem, with the Rev. Jerry Rockefeller officiating. Burial will be in Mount Olive Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Murchie, a native of Berlin, was a longtime resident of Harlem.

Mr. William Norton

Retired Western Electric employee

ASHEVILLE, N.C. -- Mr. William Arthur Norton, 75, of White Pine Drive, died Wednesday, June 24, 1998.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. today at Ashelawn Gardens of Memory with the Rev. Dennis Lundblad officiating.

Mr. Norton, a native of Bon Air, Ala., was a retired installer for Western Electric. He was a member of Westminister Presbyterian Church. He served in the U.S. Marines during World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Nancy S. Norton; two sons, Douglas Norton, Birmingham, Ala., and Keith Norton, Fletcher, N.C.; one brother, Carroll L. Norton, Augusta; one sister, Dorothy Groover, Savannah; and three grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to First Christian Church, 20 Oak St., Asheville, NC 28801.

The family will receive friends from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. today at Williams Funeral Service.

Mr. Clarence Osborne

Retired paint contractor

EVANS -- Mr. Clarence L. ``Buster" Osborne, 69, of 561 University Drive, died Thursday, June 25, 1998, at Columbia Augusta Medical Center.

A memorial service will be at 7 p.m. today at Poteet Funeral Home, Wheeler Road, with the Rev. Walton McNeal officiating.

Mr. Osborne, a native of Canton, Ky., was a paint contractor. He served in the U.S. Army, 4th Infantry Division, during World War II. He was a member of Mize Memorial United Methodist Church, where he was on the Usher Board and a member of the United Methodist Men's Club.

Survivors include his wife, Josephine Barnes Osborne; one brother, Thomas Osborne, Paducah, Ky.; and one sister, Ruby Whitaker, Paducah.

Memorials may be made to Mize Memorial United Methodist Church, 302 Barrow Dr., Augusta, GA 30906.

Mr. Willis Perry

Mr. Willis ``Bubber" Perry, of 4197 Wheeler Road, Martinez, died Wednesday, June 24, 1998, at Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center.

The funeral will be at 3:30 p.m. Saturday at Macedonia Baptist Church with the Rev. George Smith officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery" target="_blank">cemetery.

Mr. Perry, a native of Columbia County, was a construction worker with Claussen Construction and was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church. He was an Army veteran of World War II.

Survivors include one stepdaughter, Evelyn Dotson, Augusta; one brother, William Henry Perry, Martinez; and two sisters, Ludie Perry and Bessie Perry, both of Martinez.

Pallbearers will be Ike Stokes, Jimmy Flono, William H. Perry Jr. and Joe L. Banks.

Honorary pallbearers will be deacons of Macedonia Baptist Church.

Friends may call at the residence or at Williams Funeral Home.

Mr. Ralph Kersey

Retired farmer and printer

LIZELLA, Ga. -- Mr. Ralph Kersey, 79, died Wednesday, June 24, 1998, at the Medical Center of Central Georgia, Macon.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Sardis Primitive Baptist Church, Kite. Burial will be in the church cemetery" target="_blank">cemetery.

Mr. Kersey, a native of Emanuel County, was a retired farmer and a retired printer with Tyson's Print Shop. He served in the Army during World War II. He was a member of Lizella Baptist Church and a former member of Adrian First Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Tincie Douglas Kersey, one son, Doug Kersey, Lizella; two daughters, Martha Jo Belote, Dry Branch, and Ramona Price, Wrightsville; one sister, Vonnella Douglas, Warner Robins; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Jamie Belote, Jody Kersey, Wayne Kersey, Jeff Hall, Joey Webb and John Jones.

Peebles-Curry-Durden Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Elizabeth Kelley

SYLVANIA, Ga. -- Mrs. Elizabeth H. Kelley, 86, died Tuesday, June 23, 1998, at her residence.

The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Wesley Chapel Church with the Rev. Ernest Dixon Sr. officiating. Burial will be in Friendship Memorial Park.

Mrs. Kelley, a native of Screven County, was a homemaker and a member of Wesley Chapel Church.

Survivors include her husband, James C. Kelley Sr.; two sons, James Kelley Jr., Sylvania, and Addis Kelley, Augusta; four daughters, Theresa Jones, Augusta, Mary Robinson, Atlanta, Sandra Dash, West Orange, N.J., and Gloria Palmer, Charlotte, N.C.; one brother, Joseph Williams, Babylon, N.Y.; two sisters, Carrethea Cooper and Alfreida Habersham, both of Savannah; and 11 grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today at Booker T. Scott Memorial Chapel.

Sylvania Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Kelly, a native of Cherokee County, S.C., had been a receptionist with Social Security Administration. He was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Queen Ester Grand Chapter, Juniper Chapter No. 2, Plandield, N.Y., and Christian Fountain Baptist Church, where she was a member of the deaconess board.

Survivors include her husband, Willie Kelly; one son, Terry White, Augusta; one brother, James David Oates, New Jersey; two sisters, Patricia Oates, Augusta, and Ruby Ann Oates, New Jersey; and five grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Tama Snyder Croft; one son, Robert ``Robbie" Bruce Croft, Saluda; one daughter, Tara Kaye Croft, Orangeburg; one sister, Myrna Croft Carter, Cope; and two grandchildren.

Mr. Ulysses Clark Sr.

Survivors include two sons, Ulysses Clark Jr., Bronx, N.Y., and Milton Clark, Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; three daughters, Mary Ann Brown, St. Petersburg, Fla., Alice Mae Simmons, Wrens, and Joanne McNair, Miami, and 17 grandchildren.
