IRWIN COUNTY - Leonard Davis, 93, died Oct. 13, at Life Care Center, Fitzgerald.

He had lived in Irwin County most of his life and was a former Board Member of the Irwin County Hospital Authority. He attended Frank Primitive Baptist Church, was a retired farmer and the widower of Lillian Ewing Davis.

SURVIVORS: two daughters, Marsha Pedrick of Hinesville and Marjorie Childre of Albany; six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

GRAVESIDE SERVICE: 2 p.m. in Whitley Cemetery, Irwin County.

HILTON HEAD ISLAND - Gregory Michael Fotia, 11, died Oct. 13 at home.

SURVIVORS: his parents, Frank X. III and Rosie Molinaro Fotia; a brother, Frankie; maternal grandparents, Constantino and Teresa Molinaro of Carbondale, Pa.; and paternal grandparents, Frank X. Fotia II of Myrtle Beach, S.C. and Joanne Fotia of Sun City, Hilton Head.

John H. Gardner

HILTON HEAD ISLAND - John H. Gardner, 71, died Oct. 13 at Memorial Health University Medical Center.

He was a native of Dublin and a longtime resident of Savannah before moving to Hilton Head 12 years ago. He was a former member of Church of Christ and owned and operated John Gardner Construction Company.

SURVIVORS: his wife, Patricia F. Gardner of Callawassie Island; two sons, Terry L. Gardner of Orlando, Fla., and Robert E. Gardner of Savannah; two stepdaughters, Kathleen Clark of Trumbull, Conn., and Jennifer Powers of Charlottesville, Va.; three step-sons, Richard Meahan of Millford, Conn., Michael Meahan and Kenneth Meahan, both of Norwalk, Conn.; three grandchildren, 13 stepgrandchildren, three great-grandchildren and two stepgreat-grandchildren.

VISITATION: 6-8 p.m. today and Monday at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel, Savannah.

FUNERAL: 11 a.m. Tuesday at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel, burial in Newton Cemetery.

Alma C. Stanfield

Alma C. Stanfield, 86, died Thursday, Aug. 1, at Wayne Memorial Hospital after an extended illness. The Pierce Co. native had lived in Wayne Co. most of her life. She was a member of the Unity Church of God and a former employee of Knights Drug Store and Waynline, Inc. Survivors: son and daughter-in-law, Durwood and Elouise M. Stanfield of Jesup; brother, Eugene Cox of Waynesboro; sisters, B. J. Chancey of Savannah and Pat Jiles of Rincon; grandchildren, Alisha Hendricks of Atkinson, Wesley Stanfield of Odum, and Pat Stanfield of Jesup; six great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Robert Lonell Maddox

Wrightsville - Services for Robert Lonell Maddox, 77, will be held Friday at 11:00 a. m. at the First Christian Church, with burial to follow in Westview Cemetery; Pastor Don Swingle will officiate. Born in Johnson county, Georgia, he was the son of the late Lonnie and Lullie Logan Maddox. He was a veteran of World War II, having served with the United States Army. He was a member of the First Christian Church and was retired from Riner Radiator & Battery. Mr. Maddox passed away late Tuesday night in an Augusta hospital. Survivors: wife, Zelma Maddox of Wrightsville; daughters, Yvonne M. McCaskill of Sandersville and Robin M. McCorkle of Hinesville; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. The family asks that anyone who desires may make contributions in memory of Mr. Maddox to the First Christian Church, P. O. Box 228, Wrightsville, GA 31096. He was a Regional Sales Manager with Interlake Material Handling. He was a U. S. Army Veteran and attended the Richmond Hill United Methodist Church. Marion Wilson

Marion Wilson "Moose", 64, died Monday, July 29, at Hospice of Savannah after a short illness. He was born in Ladys Island, SC and moved to Savannah while still a toddler. He was educated in the Chatham County public school system. At an early age he joined First Bryan Baptist Church and he later joined St. John Baptist Church. In 1957 he joined the U. S. Army and he retired from Kamira "Kerr McGee" after 21 years of service. He joined the staff of Savannah State University shortly after. DUBLIN - Robert Vaughn Loy, 47, died Oct. 12.

He was a native of Chattanooga, Tenn., and lived most of his life in Savannah. He was a 1971 graduate of Savannah High School and attended Kennesaw Junior College and Savannah State College. He was employed by Carl Vinson Veterans Hospital in Dublin. He was a sergeant in the Marine Corp and veteran of the Vietnam War. He attended Montgomery Presbyterian Church.

SURVIVORS: his mother, Rebecca Wilson Loy of Savannah; a sister, Ginger K. Loy of Savannah; two aunts, Lucille Wilson of New England, and Lula Wilson of Oakland, Calif.; and several cousins.

VISITATION: 6-8 p.m. today at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.

GRAVESIDE SERVICE: 2 p.m. Monday in Greenwich section of Bonaventure Cemetery.

J.D. McDougald Jr.

CLAXTON - J.D. McDougald Jr., 83, died Oct. 14 at home.

He was a native of Bulloch County, but had lived most of his life in Claxton. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Statesboro and graduated from the University of Georgia. He helped organize the Lions Club in Claxton and served as the first president. He was owner and operator of McDougald Motors in Claxton for many years. He was on the Board of Directors with Evans County Housing Authority and active in many civic affairs.

SURVIVORS: a niece, Ann Hutcherson of Atlanta; a brother-in-law, Dr. Guy Hutcherson of Statesboro; and friend, Frances Laws of Claxton.

VISITATION: today at J. Mellie NeSmith Funeral Home in Claxton.

FUNERAL: 2 p.m. Monday at First Baptist Church of Claxton, burial in Brewton Cemetery.
