STATESBORO -- Clarence M. Price, 84, died Oct. 2 at East Georgia Regional Medical Center under the care of Ogeechee Area Hospice.

The Craig County, Va., native lived in Bulloch County the past 25 years. He retired from Norfolk Navy Shipyard in Portsmouth, Va. He was a member of Eastern Heights Baptist Church in Statesboro.

SURVIVORS: his wife, Pearl O. Price of Statesboro; three sons, the Rev. David Price of Easley, S.C., and C. Wayne Price and Ronald G. Price, both of Statesboro; six sisters, Viola Gray of Montvale, Va., Thelma Schultz, Lois Blakenship and Doris Wood of New Castle, Va., Barbara Green of Statesboro and Dorothy Dame of Newport News, Va.; four brothers, O.V. Price Jr. and Leo Price of New Castle, Howard Price of Statesboro and Robert Price of Fincastle, Va.; nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

VISITATION: 6-8 p.m. today at Hodges-Turner-Anderson Funeral Home.

FUNERAL: 10 a.m. Wednesday at Eastern Heights Baptist Church, entombment in Bulloch Memorial Gardens.

Lucille C. Reddick

WAYNESBORO -- Mrs. Lucille Cullen Reddick, 76, died Oct. 2 at Burke County Hospital.

The Burke native retired from Keller Aluminum in Waynesboro and was a member of Sardis United Methodist Church in Sardis.

SURVIVORS: two sons, David and Mike Mobley, both of Waynesboro; four daughters, Alice Bland, Sylvia Hoover and Tommie Wise, all of Savannah, and Marty Stephens of Macon; two brothers, Billy Cullen of Sardis and Thomas Cullen of Augusta; seven sisters, Hazel Bennett and Geraldine Stokes, both of Savannah, Jackie Broyles of Atlanta, Frances DeLaigle of Waynesboro, Juanita Elliott of Sardis, Deena Muns of Girard and Bernice Reid of Martinez; 18 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

VISITATION: 7-9 p.m. today at DeLoach Funeral Home.

FUNERAL: 2 p.m. Wednesday at DeLoach Funeral Home, burial in Burke Memorial Gardens in Waynesboro.

James R. Sirmon

WHITE OAK -- James "Jim" Richard Sirmon, 70, died Oct. 1 at home.

The Chapman, Ala., native moved to Camden County 15 years ago from Pensacola, Fla. In earlier years, he was president of P.G.S. Shrimp Corp. in St. Marys. He had been employed with Gilman Paper Co. in Pensacola and retired from Stone Container Corp. in Jacksonville, Ark., in 1972.

He was a member of Masonic Lodge No. 278 in Pensacola and Waverly United Methodist Church.

SURVIVORS: his wife, Betty Joyce Reid Sirmon of White Oak; a son, J.R. Sirmon Jr. of White Oak; two brothers, Charles Sirmon of Pensacola and William Sirmon of Hattiesburg, Miss.; six grandchildren, Lee Barber, James Richard Sirmon III, Brian Barber, Jill Sirmon, Jamie Sirmon and Jonathan Sirmon; and several nieces and nephews.

VISITATION: 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Allison Memorial Chapel Funeral Home in St. Marys.

FUNERAL: 11 a.m. Thursday at Waverly United Methodist Church, burial in Homeward Cemetery.

REMEMBRANCES: Waverly United Methodist Church Building Fund.

Grace H. Strickland

CLAXTON -- Grace H. Strickland died Oct. 2 at home.

She was a member of Pigott Branch Baptist Church in Long County and attended First United Methodist Church of Claxton. She was a member of the Eastern Star and a homemaker.

SURVIVORS: her husband, Aubrey Strickland of Claxton; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, J.H. and Elizabeth Strickland of Claxton; and several nieces and nephews.

VISITATION: will begin at 6 p.m. today at J. Mellie NeSmith Funeral Home.

FUNERAL: 2 p.m. Wednesday at First United Methodist Church, burial in Brewton Cemetery.

REMEMBRANCES: Brewton cemetery Perpetual Trust or a charity of the donor's choice.

Thomas P. Tootle

REIDSVILLE -- Thomas Pentland Tootle, 85, died Oct. 2 at Evans Memorial Hospital in Claxton.

He was born in Tattnall County and lived in Jacksonville, Fla., before moving back to Reidsville many years ago. He retired from the railroad in Jacksonville and from Georgia State Prison as a correctional officer. He served in the Army and the Marine Corps during World War II. He was a member of Reidsville United Methodist Church.

SURVIVORS: two sisters, Beatrice Durrence of Reidsville and Joan Haynes of Fayetteville; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

VISITATION: 7-9 p.m. today at McCall Funeral Home, Reidsville.

FUNERAL: 11 a.m. Wednesday at McCall Funeral Home, burial in Reidsville City Cemetery.

Myrtle Turner

BAXLEY -- Myrtle Turner, 90, died Oct. 1 at Appling Healthcare System.

The lifelong resident of Appling County was a member of Mount Vernon Baptist Church and the Senior Adult Sunday School Class. She was a homemaker.

SURVIVORS: a sister, Flora Thomas of Macon; and several nieces and nephews.

FUNERAL: 11 a.m. today at Mount Vernon Baptist Church, burial in the church cemetery.

Teddy G. Welty

BEVIL OAKS, Texas -- Teddy Glenn Welty, 42, died Oct. 1 at Hermann Memorial Hospital in Houston.

The Beaumont native lived in Savannah many years before returning to Beaumont. He was a yacht refurbisher.

SURVIVORS: his wife, Lynne Lindsey Welty of Bevil Oaks; a daughter, Sabra Welty of Bevil Oaks; sons, Cody and Carl Welty, both of Bevil Oaks; a brother, Timothy Welty of Bevil Oaks; sisters, Carrie Lynn Teague of Beaumont, Corky Welty of Lumberton and Cheryl Saunders of Hamshire; and a number of nieces and nephews.

FUNERAL: 11 a.m. Wednesday at Broussard's Mortuary in Beaumont, burial in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.

A gathering of friends will begin at 4 p.m. today at Broussard's Mortuary.

REMEMBRANCES: Blood donation may be made in his memory.

Grady L. White Sr.

MIDWAY -- Grady L. White Sr., 72, died Sept. 30 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Savannah.

The Mount Airy, N.C., native was formerly a 10-year resident of Richmond County, N.C., where he owned and operated The Mayfair Grille. He later moved to Liberty County in 1958 and was in partnership with DeWitt Trucking and opened Liberty Truck Center. He was also owner of White's Car Care in Midway.

He was a charter member and a past president of the Liberty Coastal Lions Club, where he was involved with Camp Leo, a children's camp for the blind. He was also a notary public and former Justice of the Peace in the Fleming district.

SURVIVORS: five sons, Ronnie White I of Richmond Hill, Gary White Sr. of Midway, Grady White Jr. of Bloomingdale, David White of Bluffton and Richard White of Midway; three daughters, Debbie Frye of Ellerbe, N.C., Jane Harding of Rockingham, N.C., and Brenda White of Ellerbe; a stepson, Ken Phillips Jr. of Jesup; a brother, Lester White of Reidsville, N.C.; four sisters, Jenny Fulp of Ellerbe and Sally Whitaker, Vernice Cooper and Barbra Pait, all of Greensboro, N.C.; his companion, Zina Margie Phillips; 24 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, a great-great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.

VISITATION: 6-9 p.m. Wednesday at Carter Funeral Home, Oglethorpe Chapel, Hinesville.

FUNERAL: 1 p.m. Thursday at Fleming Baptist Church, burial in Midway Methodist Church Cemetery.

REMEMBRANCES: Liberty Coastal Lions Club.

Lee R. Williams

Lee Roy Williams, 71, died Sept. 30 at St. Joseph's Hospital.

The Yemassee, S.C., native attended the public schools of Colleton County, S.C. He retired from Southern States Fertilizing Co. and was an Army veteran of the Korean War.

SURVIVORS: his wife, Daisy T. Williams of Savannah; a daughter, Joyce Williams of Walterboro, S.C.; a stepdaughter, Georgiana Hutchinson of Savannah; stepsons, Gregory B. Pinckney of Hampton, Va., Emmett Tolbert of Seattle and Robbie S. Tolbert of New Orleans; sisters, Mamie Lynah of Cottageville, S.C., and Dorothy Chisholm of Yemassee; brothers, Clifton and Freddie Williams, both of Yemassee, and Tommie Simmons of Walterboro; nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.

Tom Williams

STATESBORO -- Tom Williams, 78, died Sept. 30 at East Georgia Regional Medical Center.

He was born in Bulloch County and was a member of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church. He was a retired employee of Loxcreen Co. and was employed at Sheppard's Lumber Co. in Brooklet.

SURVIVORS: four sons, Tom Charles Williams, Eddie Lee Williams and Calvin Ray Williams, all of Statesboro, and Jimmy N. Williams of Sumter, S.C.; a daughter, Betty Ellison of Savannah; a sister, Bernice Williams Walker of Hollywood, Fla.; 20 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

VISITATION: 7-8 p.m. today at James R. Barnes Mortuary, Statesboro.

FUNERAL: 1 p.m. Wednesday at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, burial in the church cemetery.

Christopher A. Amarose

Christopher Anthony Amarose, 19, of Savannah died Nov. 29 at Carraway Methodist Medical Center in Birmingham, Ala.

He lived in Wilburton and Mount Carmel, Pa., and then Savannah. He was a high school graduate and an Army veteran. He was a former member of United Methodist Church in Wilburton.

SURVIVORS: his parents, Patrick Louis Amarose Sr. and Delores N. Petry Amarose of Mount Carmel; a brother, Patrick Louis Amarose Jr. of Somerset; a stepbrother, Peter Amarose of Mount Carmel; his paternal grandmother, Thelma Amarose of Kulpmont; his maternal grandfather, Erwin Petry of Medina, N.Y.; his fiance, Lisa Flanagan of Savannah; a number of aunts, uncles and two nephews.
