HAMPTON, S.C. -- Ernest Nolan Mock, 46, died May 25 at Medical University Hospital in Charleston.

He was born in Charleston. He was a self-employed carpenter and a member of Sandy Run Baptist Church.

VISITATION: after 7 p.m. today at Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home, Hampton Chapel.

FUNERAL: 10 a.m. Saturday at Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home, Hampton Chapel, burial in Gooding cemetery near Crocketville.

Camden F. Moody

BLUFFTON -- Camden Fontaine Moody, 23, died May 24 at Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah from injuries in an auto accident on Cross Island Parkway on Hilton Head Island.

She was born in Atlanta and moved to Bluffton as an infant. She was a student at the University of South Carolina at Beaufort and a graduate of Hilton Head High School. She danced for 10 years with the Hilton Head Dance Theatre, including tin he role of Clara in its production of "The Nutcracker." She attended the South Carolina Governor's School for the Arts and the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.

SURVIVORS: her parents, George Moody and Maury Weyman Moody of Bluffton; a brother, William Moody of Bluffton; her paternal grandmother, Peggy Moody of Atlanta; four uncles, Harry W. Moody of Atlanta, Jerry Moody of Littleton, Colo., Sam Weyman of Atlanta and Billy Weyman of France; and an aunt, Harriet Weyman of Atlanta.

MEMORIAL SERVICE: 11 a.m. Saturday at the Church of the Cross in Bluffton.

Sauls Funeral Home, Ridgeland.

John H. Palmer

COX -- John Henry Palmer, 90, died May 18 at Liberty Regional Medical Center.

He was born and educated in McIntosh County and lived in Cox most of his life. He retired from Allied Chemical in Brunswick and was a member of First African Baptist Church in Jones.

SURVIVORS: a daughter, Annie L. Horne of Jacksonville, Fla.; two sisters, Mamie Lou West of Jones and Lucretia Smith of Philadelphia; four grandchildren, Sandra A. Reed of Harris Neck, Isiah Arbery Jr. of Brunswick, Michael R. Herrington of Jacksonville and John E. Herrington of Miami; and two great-grandchildren.

FUNERAL: 3 p.m. Saturday at First African Baptist Church, Jones, burial in Bellville Cemetery.

Tom Parrish

SYLVANIA -- Tom Parrish, 93, died May 21 at Bulloch Memorial Hospital.

He was a native of Screven County.

SURVIVORS: a son, Sidney Parris; a sister, Sophia P. White of Savannah; a daughter-in-law, Annie Parris; 14 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

FUNERAL: 11 a.m. Saturday at Lawn Grove Baptist Church, burial in Dickey Grove Cemetery.

Rosa Mae Roberts

SYLVANIA -- Ms. Rosa Mae Roberts, 73, died May 20 at Syl-view Health Care Center.

The Screven native was a cook and a member of New Waters Grove Baptist Church.

SURVIVORS: a brother, Uley Roberts of Sylvania; and two sisters, Florrie Roberts and Annie Badger, both of Sylvania.

WAKE SERVICE: 6-7 p.m. today at Sylvania Funeral Home.

FUNERAL: 2 p.m. Saturday at New Waters Grove Baptist Church, burial in Mount Zion Cemetery.

Christina D. Roth

HINESVILLE -- Christina Denise Roth, 20, died May 23 from injuries in an auto accident.

She was born in Pordene, Italy, and lived the past eight years in Hinesville. She was a 1998 graduate of Liberty County High School and was attending Armstrong Atlantic State University in Savannah.

SURVIVORS: his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Kevin Roth of Hinesville; her maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Adrino Marchse of Italy; her paternal grandmother, Joan Boynton of Kissimmee, Fla.; and her paternal grandfather, Roy Roth of New York City.

VISITATION: 6-9 p.m. today at Carter Funeral Home, Oglethorpe Chapel.

SERVICE: 11 a.m. Saturday at Carter Funeral Home, Oglethorpe Chapel.

Burial will be private.

Willie Russell Jr.

STATESBORO -- Willie "Bill" Russell Jr., 32, died May 23 at Bulloch Memorial Hospital.

The Bulloch County native lived in Jacksonville, Fla., most of his life. He was employed by Respiflow Inc. and was a member of Simmons Branch Baptist Church.

SURVIVORS: a sister, Eve Mosley of Statesboro; a brother, James R. Gordon of Decatur; and his maternal grandmother, Rozzie Burke of Sylvania.

FUNERAL: 1 p.m. Saturday at Simmons Branch Baptist Church, burial in the church cemetery.

Jackie Schmidt

CLAXTON -- Jackie Schmidt, 61, died May 25 at home.

She was a native of Atlanta and lived in Evans County a number of years. She was a Baptist.

SURVIVORS: four sons, Billy, James, Michael and Daniel Schmidt, all of Claxton; a daughter, Michelle Schmidt of Claxton; a sister, Louise Smart of Cumming; and 12 grandchildren.

Services will be held at a later date.

Willie D. Shipman

MARIETTA -- Willie Dave Shipman, 53, died May 21 at Meadows Regional Medical Center in Vidalia.

He was a native of Montgomery County and a member of Ephrian Baptist Church in Atlanta. He was a supervisor with the Department of Public Works in Atlanta.

SURVIVORS: his wife, the Rev. Retha Stuckey Shipman of Marietta; a son, William Mark Shipman of Marietta; his father, Otis Shipman of Uvalda; a brother, Roy Shipman of Brooklyn, N.Y.; three sisters, the Rev. Janice Braddy of Uvalda, Cynthia Shipman of Vidalia and Shirley Shipman of Brooklyn; and a host of other relatives.

VISITATION: today at Vidalia Funeral Home in Vidalia.

FUNERAL: noon Saturday at Shiloh Baptist Church in Uvalda, burial in Isle of Hope cemetery in Uvalda.

Robert F. Siefferman

Robert F. Siefferman, 63, died May 25 at home.

He was born in Springfield, Ill., and lived in Savannah the past 34 years. He was an Air Force veteran. He retired from Norfolk Southern Railroad as a chief clerk and also served as a tympanist with Savannah Symphony Orchestra for 17 years. He was a member of the 524th Air Force Band and the Coastal Woodworkers Guild.

SURVIVORS: his wife, Carolyn Moore Siefferman of Savannah; a son, Robert Paul Siefferman of Brooklyn, N.Y.; and a brother, Marvin E. Siefferman of Port Charlotte, Fla.

MEMORIAL SERVICE: 2 p.m. Saturday at Hubert C. Baker Funeral Home, Hodgson Memorial Chapel.

Floella V. Strickland

LYONS -- Floella V. Strickland, 80, died May 24 at home.

She was a native of Emanuel County and lived most of her life in Lyons. She was a retired employee of Federal Pacific and a member of First Baptist Church of Lyons.

SURVIVORS: two daughters, Patsy Moxley and Cindy Strickland, both of Lyons; a son, Hayward Strickland of Lyons; two brothers, T.J. Davis of New Hope, Ala., and Buddy Colson of Lyons; two sisters, Elnora Anderson and Gladys Kirby, both of Lyons; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

VISITATION: 7-9 p.m. today at Jones-Stewart Funeral Home.

FUNERAL: 11 a.m. Saturday at Lyons First Baptist Church, burial in Cedar Creek cemetery in Tattnall County.

Mrs. R.E. Summerell

Mrs. Mildred Summerell, 81, died May 24 at Tara Nursing Home.

She was a longtime resident of Savannah. She was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church, Daughters of the American Revolution, Daughter of the Confederacy and Daughters of the American Colonist. She was a homemaker.

SURVIVORS: two sons and daughters-in-law, R.E. Summerell Jr. and Tina Summerell of Pembroke, Va., and James H. and Kathy Summerell of Auburn, Ala.; two grandchildren, Lisa and Emily Summerell of Virginia; a brother-in-law, William F. Summerell of Savannah; a sister-in-law, Francis Dasher of Richmond Hill; and several nieces and nephews.

MEMORIAL SERVICE: 2 p.m. Saturday at St. John's Episcopal Church, inurnment in Hillcrest Abbey Memorial Park.
