Onetha Hallman Mingledorff, 72
Onetha Hallman Mingledorff, 72, passed away Friday, December 25, 2009, at Ogeechee Area Hospice Center in Statesboro. She was born August 4, 1937, in Tattnall County to Rufus and Ethel Hallman and was the oldest of six children. She was a 1955 graduate of Glennville High School and attended Savannah Vocational Technical School. She was employed with the City of Hinesville for 40 years as City Clerk and Finance officer. She was an elected officer of the Georgia Municipal Association for many years. She was a contributing writer to the Coastal Courier and The Glennville Sentinel newspapers for many years. She was a member of Hopewill United Methodist Church and is preceded in death by her parents, a sister and two infant brothers.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Julien Mingledorff of Collins; son, William Mingledorff of Atlanta; daughter and son - in - law Carole and Bubba Grinstead of Midway; sisters and brothers - in - law Joan and Ralph Stafford and Maxine Turner of Collins, and Dottie and Clay Brooks of Winder; a brother, Theron Hallman of Glennville, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services were at 7:00 p.m., Monday, December 28, from the Chapel of Brannen - Kennedy Funeral Home. Burial was private.

Wesley Noble, 53
Mr. Wesley Noble, age 53 passed away Thursday December 24, 2009, at his residence. The Chatham County native had lived in Savannah most of his life, before moving to Reidsville 10 years ago. He was a mechanic and was of the Baptist faith. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Wallace and Lauraozean Lanier.
He is survived by his daughter, Brooke Noble Butts of Savannah; mother and stepfather, Sue and Dean Miller of Reidsville; father and stepmother, Tommy and Louise Noble of Claxton; sister, Lisa Cheek of Savannah; two grandchildren, Annabell and Vivian Butts of Savannah; two nieces, Reagan Rouse and Chelsea Cheek of Savannah; and a special friend, Laverna Harris of Washington State.
Funeral Services were conducted Sunday from the Reidsville Chapel of Bradley B. Anderson Funeral Home, and interment followed in the Reidsville City Cemetery.

Billie B. Beasley, 95
Ms. Billie B. Beasley, 95, passed away Saturday December 19, 2009, at Plantation Estates in Matthews, NC. The Bladen, NC, native had lived in Reidsville for the past 42 years. Ms. Beasley worked in the Physics Department at Clemson College and the Atomic Dupont Plant in Augusta. She was a member of the Reidsville Garden Club and the Reidsville United Methodist Church. Ms. Billie loved to play bridge and the piano. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tom Reid Beasley.
She is survived by three sisters and brothers - in - law: Dobbie Thompson of Vidalia, Opal and Bob Berley of Mathews, NC, and Mary and Ben Little of Clarkton, NC; step - daughter, Kathryne Beasley Toups and family of Baton Rouge, LA; several nieces and nephews, great - nieces and nephews and great - great nieces and nephews.
Graveside funeral services were conducted Tuesday morning from the Reidsville City Cemetery with the Reverends David Hudson and Marc Foster officiating.

Jose Angel Bonilla, 43
Jose Angel Bonilla, 43, died Monday, December 14, 2009, in Tattnall County. He was born in El Pas, El Salvador. He had lived in Candler County and Toombs County for many years, coming from San Antonio, TX. Jose was a farm worker, a loving father and a Catholic.
He is survived by three sons, Justin Estrada of Oak Park, Louis Estrada of Portal and Eric Estrada of Bowling Green, KY; two daughters, Summers Estrada of Portal and Priscilla Estrada of San Antonio, TX; four grandchildren, Jasmine Estrada, Juan Valladares, Jacqueline Valladares and Little Man.
A funeral Mass was held Tuesday, December 22, 2009, at 10:00 a.m. at Kennedy Funeral Homes, Hooks Chapel, with Father John Brown officiating. Burial followed in the Lake Cemetery near Metter. Pallbearers were Eric Rojas, Justin Estrada, Noel Cruz, Jamie Perez, and Miguel Rojas.

Kelly Lynn Jarriel Cochran, 41
Kelly Lynn Jarriel Cochran, 41, died Monday, December 21, 2009. The native of West Palm Beach, Florida, had lived several years in the Tattnall County area and was a great MOM. Kelly loved working in her yard, planting flowers and helping others.
Survivors include sons, Joshua (Asia) Caswell of Glennville, Zachary Cochran of Cobbtown; brothers, Charlie Jarriel of Cobbtown and Cabell Jarriel of Tampa, FL; fiancé, Bill (Scooter) Scott of Cobbtown and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, December 23 at the Cobbtown Chapel; burial followed in the Sunlight Cemetery.

Sybil Elizabeth Hess Coleman, 83
Sybil Elizabeth Hess Coleman, 83, died Sunday, December 20, 2009, at Ogeechee Area Hospice in Statesboro.
She was born in Oglethorpe County, one of ten children, to Louis and Mattie Hess. Sybil was a graduate of Lyons High School, a homemaker and a seamstress at a clothing manufacturer for many years. Her hobbies were her family, her church, doing for others and filling her freezer from the vegetable garden her husband grew on their farm. Sybil was a faithful member of the Connors Baptist Church for over 65 years, serving as Sunday school teacher, singing in the choir, serving on the cemetery committee and other offices.
She was preceded in death by her parents, six siblings and the love of her life, her husband of 54 years, Robert Coleman.
Survivors are three daughters and sons - in - law, June and David DeLoach of Bellville, Joyce and Leonard Collins of Hilton Head, SC, and Debbie and Rick Knight of N. Augusta, SC; a brother, Billy Hess of Cobbtown; two sisters, Betty Williams of Cobbtown and Nell Bowen of Langley, SC; grandchildren, Grant DeLoach of Statesboro, Clay (Sara) Collins of Savannah, Dana (Kelly) Meyer of Savannah, Tiffany (Tim) Walker of Lexington, SC, and Christopher Knight of N. Augusta, SC; six great grandchildren, Morgan and Cole Meyer, Sloan Collins, Tyler, Thomas and Tanner Walker; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, 2:00 p.m., at Kennedy Funeral Homes, Cobbtown Chapel, with Rev. Carl Ledbetter officiating. Burial will be in the Connors Cemetery.

Tillie W. DeLoach, 74
Tillie W. DeLoach, 74, died Sunday, December 20, 2009, at St. Joseph’s Hospital after a long illness. Her son, Wayne DeLoach, was primary caregiver in her last years. A native of Tattnall County, she resided in Garden City, GA, for 40 years and returned to Glennville in 1990 after her husband’s retirement. She was a homemaker and loved to spend time fishing.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Grady F. DeLoach; brothers, Joseph Wilson and Edward Marshburn and an infant son.
She is survived by her children, Gross “L.G.” and Mary Ann DeLoach of Bloomingdale, Debra and Carl Stelljes of Springfield, Wayne DeLoach of Glennville and Lisa Maskevich (Derek) of Richmond Hill; grandchildren, Phillip, Tony and Ashley DeLoach, Shanda Denham, Miranda Maskevich; great grandchildren, Britney, London, Laine and Logan DeLoach, Angela, Angel and Jessie Lynn Denham; sisters, Annette Groover of Glennville and Martha Guy of Townsend; brother, Gerald Marshburn of Glennville and special caregiver, Edna Todd and Betty Gibson.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, December 23, 2009, from the chapel of Brannen - Kennedy Funeral Home in Glennville, with Reverend Vann Dempsey and Reverend Vance Riggins officiating. Burial followed in Beard’s Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Wayne DeLoach, Michael Groover, Detrick Durrence, Phillip DeLoach, Jesse Wilson and David Easterling.

Edith Garrard Gordon, 95
Edith Garrard Gordon, 95, entered into rest on December 18, 2009. She was born in October of 1914 in Durham, NC. Edith grew up in Durham before attending the Holton Arms Finishing School in Washington, DC.
She was married to Colonel James Gordon of Hillsborough, NC, for 59 years before his passing in 2001. During her long life, she accompanied her husband throughout his military career and was active in the community. Family members remember her as an amateur artist, dedicated bridge player, founding member of the Sunset Beach Volunteer Fire Department Ladies’ Auxiliary, and her years as an active member of the Shallotte Presbyterian Church.
Mrs. Gordon is survived by her son James E. Gordon II of Fort Meyers, FL, daughter Tonya Gordon Edwards of Manassas, GA; grandchildren Heather Gordon, Ian Gordon, Malena Gordon, Shaun Edwards, Kelly Edwards, and Kimberly Edwards Cone. She is further survived by five great grandchildren and one great - great grandchild, as well as several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service was held at Clements Funeral Home, in Hillsborough, NC, on December 22. Interment followed in the Hillsborough Town Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in her name to the Shallotte Presbyterian Church in Shallotte, NC.

Richard Allen Gray, 76
Mr. Richard Allen Gray, age 76, passed away Tuesday, December 22, 2009, at Tattnall Health Care Center. The New York native had lived most of his life in Miami, FL, before recently moving to this area. He was a Biochemist and a U.S. Army veteran. He is preceded in death by a son, Robert Gray, M.D.
He is survived by his wife, Carmen Gray of Miami, FL; son, David Gray of San Diego, CA; and two grandchildren, Stephen Gray and Jackie Gray.
Private Services will be held at a later date.
