Justin Adam Weaver, 17

Justin Adam Weaver, 17, passed away Tuesday, October 24, 2006 at his residence after a life long illness. The Tattnall County native had lived in Reidsville all of his life, and attended Tattnall County High School.
He is survived by, mother, Susan Weaver of Reidsville; brother, Shane Weaver of Glendale, AZ; special friend and father figure, Claude Poulin of Reidsville; grandparents, John and Betty Quick of Reidsville; uncles, Gary Weaver of New Berlin, NY, Robert Weaver and Lee Quick, Jr., both of FL; aunts, Sandra (Ron) Rush, Donna Smith, Christine Weaver, all of Reidsville, Patricia (Ron) Cook of Lee Center, NY. Several cousins also survive.
Funeral Services were Saturday, October 28, 2006 at Brannen - Kennedy Funeral Home, Reidsville Chapel, with Rev. Jerald Dorr officiating. Burial followed in Reidsville City Cemetery.
Pallbearers included: Claude Poulin, John Lee Quick, Jr., Shane Weaver, Johnny Millirones, Brian Smith, and Scott Smith.
Brannen - Kennedy Funeral Home, Reidsville Chapel, was in charge of the arrangements.

Carolyn Kirkland Adkins, 59

Carolyn Kirkland Adkins, 59, passed away Wednesday, December 20, 2006, at her residence under the care of Hospice of the Golden Isles. She was born in Chatham County and lived in Glennville, Brunswick and Atlanta for many years. She retired in 2001 from the U.S. Postal Service and moved to Belvedere Island, Townsend, GA. She was a member of South Newport Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Jerry A. Adkins of Belvedere Island, GA; son and daughter - in - law, Chris and Evelyn Kemp of Atlanta, GA; stepson and daughter - in - law, Joel and Ginny Adkins of Vancouver, WA; stepdaughter and son - in - law, Marcy and Tom Thomas of Lindenhurst, IL; six grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Saturday, December 23, 2006, at Brannen - Kennedy Funeral Home Chapel, with Dr. Gene Hughes officiating. Burial followed in Glennville Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Mike Burke, Matt Haddock, Mark Haddock, Glenn Steigman, Steve Steigman and Terry Waters.
Remembrances can be made to Hospice of the Golden Isles, 1692 Glynco Parkway, Brunswick, GA 31525.

Bonnie M. Cammack, 93

Bonnie M. Cammack, 93, passed away Monday, December 25, 2006, at Evans Memorial Hospital. The Tattnall County native had lived in Glennville most of her life. She was a homemaker, loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and advisor to all of her family. She was a member of Watermelon Creek Baptist Church and is preceded in death by her husband, Curtis W. Cammack, and a son, Quinton.
She is survived by a daughter and son - in - law, Lennie Ruth and Joe Hart of Glennville; son and daughter - in - law, Earl and Jacquelyn Cammack of Glennville; daughter - in - law, Rachel (Winky) Cammack of Glennville; 11 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren; two special nieces, Lou Beth Stanfield and Gennell Bass; and other nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, December 27, 2006, at Watermelon Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Miller, Rev. Ernest Dyal and Rev. Van Power officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers were David Cammack, Barry Cammack, Shelby Hart, Merrell Hart, Michael Cammack and Glenn Stanfield.
Brannen - Kennedy Funeral Home of Glennville was in charge of the arrangements.

Wilda J. Davis, 61

Wilda J. Davis, 61, passed away Tuesday morning, December 26, 2006, at East Georgia Regional Medical Center. The Tattnall County native had lived in Reidsville most of her life. She worked many years as a secretary for Shuman Fertilizer, IPW, and was a clerk at the Christian Book Store in Vidalia. She was currently the secretary at Abundant Faith PH Church in Reidsville. She was also a member of the Collins Lions Club and the Abundant Faith PH Church. She was preceded in death by her father, Monroe Lindsay, and her husband, Bobby Davis.
She is survived by her son and daughter - in - law, Greg and Carla Davis of Langley, VA; mother, Gladys Lindsay of Reidsville; two grandchildren, Kayla and Tyler Davis of Langley, VA; sister - in - law, Joyce Williams of Charlotte, NC; brother - in - law, J.C. and Anita Davis of Tucker; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, December 28 in the chapel of Bradley B. Anderson Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Reidsville City Cemetery.
Bradley B. Anderson Funeral Home is in charge of the funeral arrangements.

James Allen Stanfield, 77

James Allen Stanfield, 77, died Wednesday, December 20, 2006, at Glenvue Nursing Home. The Tattnall County native had practiced law in Atlanta for 50 years and was a graduate of the University of Georgia Law School. He was president of the senior class and president of the Sigma Pi Fraternity.
He represented various banking and financial institutions in Atlanta and was instrumental in creating the commercial Code of Georgia, by which all business transactions in Georgia are regulated. He was a patient of the Scottish Rite Hospital in Decatur, having spent a portion of his young life as a resident from the age of three months until he was twelve. He was preceded in death by his parents, Marcus and Lois Stanfield; and a brother, Lawrence.
He is survived by two nephews and several cousins.
Graveside funeral services were held Saturday, December 23, 2006, at Watermelon Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with Danny Lynn and Murray Benefield officiating.
Pallbearers were Robert Surrency, Jimmy McCurdy, Terry Surrency, Patrick Edwards, Ken Johnson and Joseph Stanfield.
Brannen - Kennedy Funeral Home, Glennville Chapel, was in charge of the arrangements.

Sylvester H. Taylor, 83

Mr. Sylvester H. Taylor, 83, died Monday, December 18, 2006. He was born in Dora, AL, to the late Sandy and Hannah Taylor on April 2, 1923. He was a member of Friendship Baptist Church in Fort Myers, FL. He joined the military December 11, 1942, and was honorably discharged January 13, 1945. He served as First A - A Antiaircraft B - B Battalion and 986 Quarter Master. He moved to Fort Myers, FL, in 1957 where he met and married his loving wife of 49 years, Mrs. Alice M. Taylor. Two children preceded him in death, a son, Sylvester Taylor Jr., and a stepdaughter, Eva Mae Smith.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Mrs. Alice M. Taylor; one stepdaughter, Christine Bell; one grandson, Darell Bell; and special friends of the family, Mary and Annie Laura Berry.
Funeral services were held Thursday, December 21, 2006. He was buried with military honors in Old Halltown Cemetery.
King and Sons Funeral Home of Glennville was in charge of the arrangements.

Northern Adon Anderson Jr., 40

Northern Adon Anderson Jr., 40, passed away Wednesday morning, December 13, 2006, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident in Chatham County. He was a lifelong resident of Reidsville and worked with Student Affairs at Ogeechee Technical College. He was a member of the St. Matthews Catholic Church in Statesboro and was an avid fan of the Georgia Bulldogs. He is preceded in death by his mother, Stephanie Weeks Anderson, brother, Paul Anderson and his uncle, Bob Weeks.
He is survived by his father and step - mother, Northern Sr. and Janice Anderson of Ludowici; a brother and sister - in - law Timothy and Jill Anderson of Ringgold, GA; three step - sisters, Dancy Carmichael of Ludowici, Pamela Herbert of Hinesville and Jennifer Ferry of Lebanon, IL; two aunts, Fronie Wood of Pt. Wentworth and Pearl Griner of Reidsville; one uncle, Steve Weeks of Vidalia; a close cousin Debbie and Eddie Cox of Guyton; and several additional aunts and cousins.
Funeral services were held Saturday, December 15, 2006, at the Chapel of Bradley B. Anderson Funeral Home with Rev. Eric Rentz and Mr. Ronnie McCall officiating. Honorary pallbearers were the Reidsville High School 1981 - 1984 Football and Baseball Teams and Coaches.
Memorials may be given to the First Baptist Church of Ludowici Building Fund for the youth wing.

Ronald Hutto, 55

Ronald Hutto, 55, passed away late Thursday night, December 14, 2006, at the Tattnall Community Hospital. He lived many years at the Country Place Group Home in the Stoney Hill Community, moving to Reidsville six months ago. He is survived by the loving staff and residents of Tattnall Health Care and the Pineland Mental Health Staff.
Graveside services were held Monday, December 18, 2006, at Reidsville City Cemetery, with Rev. Steve Miller officiating.
Bradley B. Anderson Funeral Home was in charge.

W.L. Lynn, 79

W.L. Lynn, 79, passed away Friday morning, December 15, 2006, at the Tattnall Community Hospital. The Tattnall County native had served in the United States Navy for four years and then the United States Air Force for 23 years. He was a veteran of World War II, Korean Conflict, and Vietnam. He retired after 23 years of service from the Georgia Department of Corrections as a transportation superintendent. He attended Abundant Faith Pentecostal Church and was a Past Master of Rising Sun Lodge #32. He was the first president of the Tattnall County Shrine Club and was preceded in death by a son, George Donald Lynn and grandson, Stephen Lynn.
He is survived by his wife, Loretha Lynn of Reidsville; a son, David Clyde Lynn of Vidalia; step - daughter, Rita Oliver of Reidsville; three step - sons, Jimmy, Kenneth and Ricky Trull, all of Reidsville; twelve grandchildren, ten great - grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Jerome Register, Brian Register, John Bratcher, John Hardee, Eddie Frost, Greg Kurzner, and Charles Greer.
Funeral services were held Sunday, December 17, 2006, at the Chapel of Bradley B. Anderson Funeral Home with Rev. John Price officiating. Burial followed in the Reidsville City Cemetery with Masonic and Military Rites.
Bradley B. Anderson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

James Brantley “Jim” Sikes, 71

James Brantley “Jim” Sikes, 71, passed away Wednesday morning, December 13, 2006, at Community Hospice House in Vidalia. The Tattnall County native had lived in Collins most of his life. He retired from the U.S. Air Force, serving in the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War. He also retired from Thomas & Betts as an electrician. He was a Mason and a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Sikes of Collins; two daughters, Joy Phillips of Collins and Shelba Jean Sikes of Mesa, AZ; four sons, Kenny Sikes of Ft. Walton Beach, FL, Jimmy Sikes of Mesa, AZ, Don and Sam Sikes, both of Collins; four sisters, Ruth Hodge of Augusta, Ruby Cubbedge of Savannah, Virginia Calloway of Lyons, and Faye Cardell of Metter; eleven grandchildren, four great - grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Kenny Lynn, Larry Sikes, Earl Sikes, Ricky Trull, Kenny Trull, and Tony Fowler.
Funeral services were held Friday, December 15, 2006, at the Chapel of Bradley B. Anderson Funeral Home, with Rev. Walter Jarrell officiating. Burial followed in the Little Flock Church Cemetery.
Bradley B. Anderson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
