MRS. LOIS P. WILLIAMS

Mrs. Lois P. Williams, 98, of Hogansville died June 19, 1997 at Franklin Healthcare Center.

Born Nov. 11, 1898 in Heard County, Mrs. Williams was the daughter of the late Lazarus and Alice Wood Pritchett and the widow of Emmett J. Williams Sr. She was the oldest member of First Baptist Church in Hogansville.

Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by a daughter and son-in-law, Charlie W. Williams and Dorothy H. Williams, and a granddaughter, Alice Rebecca Williams.

Funeral services were held June 21 at Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerry Cross, Dr. Jimmy Brown and the Rev. Lindsey Maxwell officiating. Interment followed at Myrtle Hill Cemetery in Hogansville with Jimmy Williams, Jeffery Williams, Doug Williams, Dill Williams, Tony Katter and Chuck Williams serving as pallbearers.

Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. James H. (Tennie) Williams, Mrs. and Mrs. Emmett J. (Joan) Williams Jr., Mrs. and Mrs. Jack D. (Joyce) Williams, all of Hogansville; grandchildren, Jimmy D. Williams of Covington, Emmett J. Williams III of Statesboro, Calvin D. Williams of Signal Mountain, Tenn., Ann W. Maughon of Isle of Palm, S.C., Charlie W. Williams Jr. of Atlanta, Mrs. Marsha W. Katter of Waleska, Jack D. Williams of LaGrange; 13 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

MR. KEN W. ANTHONY

Mr. Ken W. Anthony, 88, died June 19, 1997 in Debary, Fla.

Born on Oct. 18, 1908 in Scipioville, N.Y., Mr. Anthony was the son of the late Willard and Lettie Wardwell Anthony. He was a retired educator and coach and a 30-year member of Kiwanis.

Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Scipioville, N.Y..

Survivors include his wife, Mary Anthony of Debary; son and daughter-in-law, John and Dana Anthony of Newnan; and grandsons, Chris Anthony of Newnan, Ken Wagner, Karl Wagner, both of Niagara Falls, N.Y.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.

MRS. MILDRED ILENE WILSON BOLT

Mr. Mildred Ilene Wilson Bolt, 88, of Newnan died June 17, 1997 at Beaulieu Convalescent Center.

Born May 25, 1909 in Wedowee, Ala., Mrs. Bolt was the daughter of the late Limb and Molly Wilson. She was a member of High Point Church of God and a homemaker.

Mrs. Bolt was preceded in death by a son, Thomas McCormick.

Funeral services were held June 19 at Hillcrest Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Pete Collins officiating, assisted by the Rev. Alan Waldrop. Interment followed at the High Point Church of God Cemetery with her grandsons serving as pallbearers.

Survivors include her children, Mary McCormick of Carrollton, Hazel Shadinger of Bowdon, Shirley Spradlin, Arnold Gilmore, Buford Bolt, all of Newnan; sister, Ella McCormick of Alabama; brother, Glen Wilson of Roosterville; 16 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

MR. ALLEN RAY BRITTAIN

Mr. Ray Allen Brittain, 49, of Newnan died June 19, 1997 at his home.

Born Nov. 2, 1947 in Douglasville, Mr. Brittain was the son of the late, John Ralph Brittain and Ella Vidu (Gilland) Brittain. He was a member of First Baptist Church and a U.S. Army veteran.

Mr. Brittain worked for eight years with the Federal Aviation Administration as an air traffic controller and later taught at East Coweta High School for 10 years.

Funeral services were held June 20 at McKoon Funeral Home with Dr. Gene Tyre officiating, assisted by the Rev. Ronnie Puckett. Interment followed at Kennedy Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, Karen L. (Colamarino) Brittain of Newnan; son, Christopher Brittain of Newnan; and brothers, Gary Brittain, Jim Brittain and Al Brittain, all of Douglasville.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Christian Brittain College Fund in care of First Baptist Church.

MR. JOHN LOUIS CLARK

Mr. John Louis Clark, 44, of Cincinnati, Ohio, formerly of Luthersville, passed away June 18, 1997 at Meriwether County Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Clark was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Willie Lewis Clark of Luthersville. A funeral and interment will be held in Cincinnati.

MR. JOHN COCHRAN

Mr. John Cochran, 75, of Major Road in Sharpsburg died June 19, 1997 at his home.

Born July, 28, 1921 in Fayette County, Mr. Cochran was a retired brick mason and a member of Rock Springs Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held June 21 at Rock Springs Baptist Church with the Rev. David Ramey officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery with Larry Hammett, Joe Hall, Jim Hall, Herman Minix, Eddie Hancock and William Minix serving as pallbearers.

Survivors include his wife, Lula Cochran; brother, George Cochran; nieces and nephews.

MR. A. ROY EADY

Mr. A. Roy Eady, 86, of Senoia died June 17, 1997 at Starcrest Nursing Home.

Born July 19, 1911 in Coweta County, Mr. Eady was the son of the late Edward Eady and Fannie Kate Thomas. A member of the Baptist faith, he was a farmer.

Funeral services were held June 19 at Hillcrest Chapel Funeral Home, with the Rev. Larry Partain officiating. Interment followed at Oak Hill Cemetery with Bryan Askew, Kevin Thompson, Mark Cannon, Chris Waters, Don Thompson and Larry Eady serving as pallbearers.

Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Eady of Senoia; sons, Harold Eady, Louis Eady, Lee Eady, Harvey Eady, Joe Eady, J.P. Eady, all of Senoia, Ralph Eady of Newnan; daughters, Helen Thompson of Griffin, Patricia Eady of Senoia; sister, Irene Quick of Senoia; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

MR. CHARLES M. FLORA

Mr. Charles M. Flora, 86, of Heritage Trace in Newnan died June 18 at his home.

Born April 21, 1911 in Forreston, Ill., Mr. Flora was the son of the late William Grant and Lillian Mayer Flora. He was a member of Newnan Presbyterian Church and the White Oak Golden K Club.

Mr. Flora was a retired product manager with Yokogawa Corporation of America.

Graveside services will be held June 21 at 2 p.m. at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with the Rev. W. Winston Skinner officiating. Pallbearers will include Jon Flora, Edmond Miller, Harold Smith, Bill Baggett, Walter Stewart and Bob Lee.

Survivors include his daughter, Betsy Lyon of Racine, Wis.; son and daughter-in-law, Jon and Vickie Flora of Racine; daughter and son-in-law, Debby and Wayne L. Dye of Newnan; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions can be made to the White Oak Golden K. Builder Club, attention Frank Reece, P.O. Box 793, Newnan, Ga., 30263.

MR. RON TIMOTHY HENRY JR.

Mr. Ron Timothy Henry Jr., 19, of Newnan died June 17, 1997 at Piedmont Hospital.

Born Aug. 19, 1977 in Newnan, Mr. Henry was a member of Rotherwood Methodist Church and a warehouse worker with Winn-Dixie.

Funeral services were held June 19 at McKoon Funeral Home with the Rev. Jimmy Henry officiating, assisted by the Rev. Jessie Henry. Interment followed at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with Jimmy Sprayberry, Darrell Stowers, Tony Futral, Randy Rogers, Brian Beckom, Jamie Arrington and Mike Reese serving as pallbearers.

Survivors include his wife, Lisa M. (Stowers) Henry of Newnan; parents, Ronald Timothy Henry and Barbara (Johnson) Henry; son, Blake Timothy Henry; sister, Alison Camile Henry; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas E. (Peggy) Henry, Mr. and Mrs. James B. (Evie) Johnson, all of Whitesburg.

MR. ERIC GUNELL HINES

Mr. Eric Gunell Hines of Los Angeles, formerly of Grantville, passed away June 10, 1997 at West Los Angeles Veterans Hospital.

Born Jan. 5, 1972 in LaGrange, Mr. Hines was a graduate of Greenville High School and a veteran of the U.S. Navy. Having attended St. Paul AME Church in the Lone Oak community, he attended Juniper Seventh Day Adventist church in Fontana, Calif.

Funeral services were held June 17 at Berean Seventh Day Adventist Church in Atlanta with the Rev. Richard H. Long Sr. and elder Ivy Williams Sr. officiating, assisted by elder Richard Long Sr., the Rev. Peris J. Lester and elder Daryl Sanders.

Interment followed at St. Paul AME Church Cemetery with relatives and friend serving as pallbearers.

Survivors include his wife, Arlana; daughter, Eriana J. Hines of California; father, Freddie L. Hines; mother, Joyce P. Ellison; mother-in-law, Lois J. McElhannon; father-in-law, Leonard McElhannon; brother-in-law, Kawan McElhannon; sister-in-law, Tina McElhannon; grandfather, Jimmy Pinson; grandmother, Dorothy Hines; step-sisters; aunts; uncles and cousins.

MRS. MILDRED C. JOHNSON

Mrs. Mildred C. Johnson, 86, of Hogansville died June 18, 1997 at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta.

A native of Newnan, Mr. Johnson was the daughter of the late W.H. Cash and Pearl Hendricks Cash and the widow of J. Ernest Johnson. She was a member of St. James United Methodist Church and a member of the United Methodist Women. She taught Sunday school with more than 32 years of perfect attendance.

Funeral services were held June 20 at Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home with the Rev. David Pickard officiating. Interment followed at Oak Hill Cemetery in Newnan.

Survivors include her daughter, Jean Johnson of Atlanta; son, Jerry Johnson of Morrow; grandchildren, Scott Johnson of Riverdale, Xan Johnson of Morrow; and great-grandchildren, Juley Johnson, Matt Johnson and Evan Johnson.
