Robert H. McDonald Jr., 71, of 10011 Highway 1 North, Wadley, died March 10, 1997 at Columbia Augusta Medical Center in Augusta.

Mr. McDonald was a native of Coweta County. He has lived in Wadley for 30 years.

Mr. McDonald was retired as a heavy machinery salesman and a dry cleaner operator. He was a Shriner with the Alee Temple of Savannah and was a Mason.

Services were held March 12 at Wadley United Methodist Church with the Rev. Bob Hall officiating. Interment followed at Wadley Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Jimmie Tarver, Doris Goodson, Billy Weeks, Joe Pundt, Johnny McMillan, Lamar Morris and Don Inman.

Survivors include his wife, Mildred "Billie" McDonald; and brothers, Kenneth McDonald of Augusta, Jack McDonald of Mobile, Alabama.

Mrs. Mary J. Parker, 80, of Greenville died April 12, 1997 at her home.

Mrs. Parker was born July 11, 1916 in Dooly County, daughter of the late Joseph and Mamie Criswell Jump. She had lived in Meriwether County for the past 30 years.

Mrs. Parker was a member of Miracle Way Baptist Church in Senoia.

Services were held April 14 in the chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville with the Rev. Roland Ayers and the Rev. Joe Winters officiating. Interment followed at Oak Hill Cemetery in Griffin.

Pallbearers were Mike Parker, Kevin Parker, Jimmy Harrison, Kent Hale, Sammy Tew and Joe Spencer.

Survivors include her husband, James P. Parker of Greenville; daughters, Mrs. Shirley Hale of Middleburg, Florida, Mrs. Earline Parker of Forest Park; son, William H. Parker of Greenville; sisters, Mrs. Lydia Stonaker of Turin, Mrs. Christine Ayers of Greenville, Mrs. Gladys Kinville of Blountstown, Florida; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Donald R. Scott, 43, of 3021 Dogwood Lane, Hapeville passed April 5, 1997 at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta.

Mr. Scott was born September 24, 1953 to the late Charlie and Lillie (Sally) Scott. He was a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church at Luthersville.

Mr. Scott attended W. A. Fountain High School.

Services were held April 12 at Zion Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. D. L. Driver, pastor, officiating, assisted by Pastor Bradley. Interment followed in the church cemetery with cousins as casket bearers.

Survivors include his grandmother, Mrs. Gertrude Perry; aunts, Mr. and Mrs. L. W. (Girlee) Travis, Mr. and Mrs. Rollo M. (Cora) Hayes, Mrs. Shirley Forts, Mr. and Mrs. James (Agnes) Mapp; uncles, B. M. Perry, Mr. and Mrs. Mack Perry; and cousins.

Mrs. Love Sutton, 99, of Moreland passed April 12, 1997 at Beaulieu Convalescent Center.

Mrs. Sutton was born July 7, 1897 in Coweta County. She was a member of Mt. Prospect Baptist Church at Moreland.

Mrs. Sutton was a member of the Old Ship of Zion and the Reunion Club.

Services were held April 15 at Mt. Prospect Baptist Church with the Rev. J. T. Coleman, eulogist. Interment followed at the church cemetery.

Survivors include a friend, Ms. Zadie M. Sims and family; and nieces.

Marvin "Babe" Young, 92, passed April 9, 1997 at Southwest Hospital Medical Center in Atlanta.

Mr. Young was born July 20, 1904 in Coweta County. He was a member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church at Moreland where he served as a deacon.

Services were held April 12 at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church with the Rev. L. W. Booker, officiating. Interment followed at the church cemetery with grandsons as pallbearers.

Survivors include a daughter, Marion Y. Wilson of Atlanta; sons, Mr. and Mrs. Henry C. (Ann) Young of Dayton, Ohio, Mr. and Mrs. Willie "Bill" (Margaret) Young, Leroy Young, Mr. and Mrs. John Millard (Jennie) Young, Mr. and Mrs. Frank H. (Evelyn) Young, Marvin "Bug" Young Jr., Eugene Young, Timothy Young of Atlanta; daughter-in-law, Mrs. Marguerite Young of Senoia; 31 grandchildren; 50 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.

Mr. Billy Barber, 71, of Peachtree City died April 8, 1997.

Born March 9, 1926, Mr. Barber was a member of Line Creek Baptist Church and was a veteran of World War Two and the Korean War.

Funeral services were April 10 at Line Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Frank Tidwell officiating. Interment followed at Westminster Memorial Gardens in Peachtree City.

Survivors include his wife, Edna Barber; daughters, Mr. and Mrs. Larry (Beverly) Moore of Sharpsburg, Mr. and Mrs. Donald (Cheryl) Brandenburg of Sharpsburg, Debbie Tucker of Metter; brothers, Melvin Barber of Newnan, J.O. Barber of Luthersville, Haskell Barber of Newnan, Everett Barber of Moreland, Douglas Barber of Newnan; granddaughters, Mr. and Mrs. Robert (Lisa) Phillips, Amanda Brandenburg, Dana Billingsly; and grandsons, Bryan Milam, Matthews Brandenburg and John Billingsly.

Mrs. Elizabeth D. Stevens, 80, of Senoia died April 10, 1997 at Southern Regional Hospital.

Born March 24, 1917 in Atlanta, Mrs. Stevens was the daughter of the late Otis and Jessie (Ethridge) Drake and the widow of Henry T. Stevens. She was a member of Senoia First Baptist Church and a retired payroll clerk.

Funeral services were held April 12 at McKoon Funeral Home, with interment following at Greenwood Cemetery in Atlanta.

Survivors include her niece Tina Duncan of Bowling Green, Kent.; and guardians, Merle Brannon and W.E. Brannon, both of Senoia.

Mrs. Rebecca Von Walden, 87, of Newnan died April 8, 1997 at Newnan Hospital.

Born June 4, 1909 in Georgia, Mrs. Von Walden was the daughter of the late Joseph Granberry Christian and Mary Stallings and the widow of Charles. W. Von Walden. A member of First United Methodist Church, the was a retired school teacher from DeKalb County.

Graveside services were held April 10 at Westview Cemetery in Atlanta with the Rev. Gary Parrish officiating.

Survivors include her friend Nell Justiss of Newnan.

Mr. Carl Elvridge Brazell Sr., 86, of Newnan died April 4, 1997 at Starcrest Nursing Home.

Born Aug. 8, 1910 in Meriwether County, Mr. Brazell was the son of the late Benjamin and Ella Lee (Murphy) Brazell. He was a member of Dunson Baptist Church and a retired supervisor from Dunson Mill of Stephens-West Point Pepperell.

Funeral services were held April 6 at McKoon Funeral Home with the Rev. Travis Eidson officiating. Interment followed at Holly Hill in Fairburn.

Survivors include his wife, Susie M. Brazell of Newnan; daughter, Betty Tomlinson of Newnan; sons, Carl Brazell Jr. of Fairburn, David H. Brazell of Attalla, Fla.; sisters, Ruth Lee Counts of Newnan, Louise Alverson of LaGrange; eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Mr. Ed Carr, 79, of Greenville died April 5, 1887 at his home.

Born Nov. 23, 1917 in Eastman, Mr. Carr was the son of the late Elijah and Sarah Coleman Carr. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War Two and a retired truck driver.

Graveside services were held April 7 at the Greenville Cemetery with the Rev. Padgett Nelson officiating.

Survivors include his son, Donald Carr of Lunber City; daughters, Jean Killingsworth of Phenix City, Ala., Brenda Kuck of Stark, Fla., Frances Yanez of Houston, Texas; sisters, Evelyn Morris, Ilene Rushing, both of LaGrange; 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Annie Lee Garner, 86, of Hogansville died April 6, 1997 at Georgia Baptist Meriwether Hospital in Warm Springs.

Born June 16, 1910 in Coweta County, Mrs. Garner was the daughter of the late Bartow and Susie Rivers Evans and the widow of Thomas Sanders Garner. She was a member of Emmaus Primitive Baptist Church.

Funeral services were held April 8 at Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home with Dr. Jimmy Brown officiating. Interment followed at Emmaus Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with Aubrey Garner, Francis Trimeloni, Michael Trimeloni, Lenny Leneski and Francis Driessens serving as pallbearers.

Survivors include her daughters, Elizabeth Garner, Mary Virginia Trimeloni, both of Hogansville; son, Aubrey Lee Garner of Gainesville; sister, Mildred Venz of Bessemer, Ala.; brother, Reuben Evans of Gardendale, Ala.; grandchildren, Lee Garner Jr., of London, England, Susan Leneski of Gainesville, Angie McCormack of Eatonton, Michael Trimeloni, Barbara Stephens, both of LaGrange; and two great-grandchildren.
