Bonnie Mae (Lanahan) Gann
Bonnie Mae (Lanahan) Gann, of Stockbridge, Georgia died June 8, 2007. Ms. Gann was born in Louisville, Kentucky, the daughter of William A. and Estella B. Lanahan. She moved to Stockbridge with her husband Ramon in the late 1940s. Together they helped to form and organize the local Republican Party of which she was a staunch lifetime supporter. They married later in life and were never blessed with children, so they devoted their lives to several small business ventures. The most successful was the costume jewelry business. For many years they sold enough costume jewelry to local residents and at the Atlanta Merchandise Mart to make a comfortable living. She and Ramon were also devout parishioners at Noah’s Ark Church in Jonesboro. Her devoted Ramon passed away in 1983. In her later years, Bonnie was very dedicated to philanthropic causes, of which one of her most noteworthy was the donation of a portion of her Henry County land holdings for a Truett Cathy (Chick-Fil-a) troubled youth home.
There are no immediate survivors.
Services were held June 11, 2007 at Noah’s Ark Church. Interment Noah’s Ark Church Cemetery. Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements.

Emma Lucinda Morris Speights Woodall
Emma Lucinda (Lou) Morris Speights Woodall, age 73, of McDonough, Georgia died June 10, 2007. Mrs. Woodall was born in Hokes Bluff, Alabama, the daughter of the late Edith Jewel Price and Lee Jefferson Morris. She retired from BellSouth with 22 plus years of service as a customer service representative. She was a member of the Middle Age McDonough Mama’s Red Hat Society, enjoyed sewing, being with her bunco group and bingo. She was preceded in death by four siblings.
She is survived by her sons; Howard F. Speights of Powder Springs, Steven W. Speights of Ozark, Alabama, David Speights of McDonough; grandchildren, Caine, Daniel, Pam, Katie; great-grandchildren, Arlo, Jadon, Arryssa, Daphne; and several nieces and nephews.
Services were held June 13 in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home, with Father Phillip Read officiating. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make donations to the American Heart Association. Haisten Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Victoria Ann Mansour Gasses
Mrs. Victoria “Vee” Ann Mansour Gasses, age 85, of McDonough, Georgia died June 10, 2007. Mrs. Gasses was born in Cobb County, the daughter of the late Raya and Joseph Mansour. She was a member of St. James Catholic Church; she enjoyed her family, especially her grandchildren, and cooking. She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Arthur Gasses, Sr.; and seven siblings.
She is survived by her children, Edna Gasses Norton of McDonough, Joseph Anthony “Tony” and wife Jackie Gasses of Hampton, and Michael and Martha Gasses of McDonough.
Services were held June 13 at St. James Catholic Church, with Father John Murphy officiating. Interment McDonough City Cemetery. Haisten Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Ruth Erk
Ruth Erk, age 84, of Stockbridge, Georgia died June 13, 2007. Mrs. Erk was born in Colby, Kansas. She enjoyed traveling, sewing, reading, and bird watching and feeding, especially hummingbirds. She was a strong family woman who put others before herself. She would do anything for her family. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 55 years, Lloyd Fredrick Erk; daughter, Barbara Stanfill; and mother, Lena Sterritt Cunningham.
She is survived by her daughter, Sandra (Frank) Murphy?of Stockbridge; son-in-law, James G. Stanfill; grandsons, J. Curtis (Terry) Stanfill, Daniel Stanfill; granddaughter, Michelle (Tim) Poorman; great-grandchildren, Stephanie (Cory) Farley, James C. Stanfill, Michael Stanfill, Emily Poorman, Alexander Poorman, and Mallory Poorman, all of Ballwin, Missouri; and several nieces and nephews.
Services were held June 16 in the chapel of Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors, with Rev. Dave Riley officiating. Entombment Arlington Memor-ial Park. Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements.

Lillie Barnes Wilkerson
Lillie Barnes Wilkerson, age 93, of McDonough, Georgia died June 13, 2007. Mrs. Wilkerson was born in Henry County, the daughter of the late Claude and Lizzie Mae Kimbell Barnes. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother and enjoyed sewing. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Virgil Wilkerson; and siblings.
She is survived by her children, William and Geraldine Wilkerson and Emerson and Peggy Wilkerson; and grandchildren, Danny and Lori Wilkerson, Debby and Bruce Mercer, Rebecca and Danny Russell, and Nikki and Kenny Postell, all of McDonough, and Lance Wilkerson of Locust Grove; great-grandchildren: Brittany Wilkerson, Kelci Richter, Cale Wilkerson, Kolby Mercer, Andrea Dean, Brittney Russell; sisters, Catherine Carmichael and Hilda Love of McDonough.
Services were held June 14 in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home, with Rev. Roger Davis officiating. Interment Haisten Eastlawn Memorial Park. Haisten Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Martha Ann Scales Dockery
Martha Ann Scales Dockery, age 86, of Locust Grove, Georgia died June 14, 2007. Mrs. Dockery was born in 1921 in Resaca, the dauughter of the late James Woodrow and Sara Elizabeth Wilson Scales. She retired after 25 years with Picadilly Cafeteria at South DeKalb Mall. She had a love for all children and enjoyed spoiling her grandchildren, She was a most loving and giving person.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Jo Ann and David M. Duffey; stepson, Richard L. Dockery; grandchildren, Lawanua and Pablo Galvin, Lisa and Daniel Foster, Travis Dockery; great-grandchildren, Ashley Junior, Taylor, Justin, Ashton, Dalton and Dylan; nieces, Ernestine Moss, Darlene Crowe, and Catherine Foster.
According to her wishes, Mrs. Dockery has been cremated and a celebration of her life was held June 23 at the home of Lisa Foster. Haisten Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

William C. Singley
William C. Singley, 84, of Locust Grove, Georgia died May 30, 2007. Mr. Singley was born in in 1923 Butts County, the son of the late Brainard C. (Brack) Singley and Cora Irene James Singley. He was a veteran, serving in the U.S. Army during WWII. He served in France and Germany. He was a mechanic and farmer, retiring from the Butts County Bus Shop following 15 years service. He was an avid fisherman. He was preceded in death by his brothers, James B. Singley in WWII, and David Singley.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth Thomas Singley; children, Debbie J. Singley and Roy Kitchens; granddaughter and her husband, Dr. Lezlie Fletcher Biles and Charlie Biles of Jackson; great-grandchildren, Tabitha Biles, Chandler Biles and Carson Biles; brothers and sisters-in-law, Thomas and Pat Singley of Locust Grove, Larry and Nora Singley of McDonough, Eugene and Betty Singley of Jackson; sister and brother-in-law, Peggy and Frank Clifton of Morrow and sister, Janie Bennett, Jackson; sister-in-law, Ann (Mrs. David) Singley of Callahan, Florida; and many nieces and nephews.
Services were held June 1 in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home. Interment Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery. Haisten Funeral Home of Jackson in charge of arrangements.

Mary Mitchell Floyd
Mary Mitchell Floyd, age 100, of Jonesboro, Georgia died May 31, 2007. Mrs. Floyd was born March 10, 1907 in McDonough, the daughter of the late John Henry and Hoppie Zemieruddy Alls Mitchell. She was a life-long Henry County resident and a member of Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church. She remembered tickets being sold for passage on the Titanic and was a second cousin to Margaret Mitchell.
She is survived by her special granddaughter, Janice Louise Yarborough of Jonesboro; nieces, Elizabeth Foster of McDonough, Darla (Bruce) Peck of Jonesboro, Cheryl (Roy) Reid of Jenkinsburg; nephew, Hugh Carmichael of McDonough; and six other grandchildren.
Services were held June 3 at Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church, with Rev. William Lewis and Rev. Michael Johns officiating. Interment Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church Cemetery. Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements.

JoAnn Hayes
JoAnn Hayes, age 73, of Stockbridge, Georgia died May 31, 2007. Ms. Hayes was born in Atlanta, the daughter of the late Shankle Edward and Katherine Louise Carver Hayes. She graduated from Emory University in Atlanta in 1968 with a Masters Degree in Science and Nursing and Nurse Practitioner. She was a career woman who taught at the University of Virginia, Western Carolina University, and the University of Miami. She retired from Chatham County Public Health Services as the District Imunization Coordinator. She donated to many charities and loved working crossword puzzles.
She is survived by her sisters, Virginia Cooper of St. Augustine, Florida, Elizabeth Wilson of Monroe; nieces, Kathy Pell of Stanfield, North Carolina, Karen Hogan of Willmington, North Carolina, Charlotte Daugherty of Monroe, Linda Rieckmann of Stockbridge; nephew, Mark Cooper of St. Augustine, Florida; nine great-nieces and great-nephews; two great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.
Services were held June 8 in the chapel of Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors, with Rev. Dave Riley officiating. Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements.

Kynlee Rose Osborne
Kynlee Rose Osborne, 3˝ month-old daughter of Rusty and Sherlonna Osborne of Monticello, died June 3, 2007. She was born February 16, 2007 in Henry County.
She is survived by her parents; paternal grandparents, Tim and Kelly Osborne of Locust Grove; maternal grandparents, Richard and Patricia Holder of McDonough; paternal great-grandparents, Connie Webber of Jonesboro, Leonard and Ruth Webber of Jackson; uncles and aunts, Michael Osborne of Barnesville, Jennifer and J.D. Leegan of McDonough; cousin, Heather Powell of McDonough; several great aunts and uncles.
Services were held June 7 in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home, with Rev. Mike Smith officiating. Interment Locust Grove Cemetery. Please make contributions to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, 1687 Tullie Circle, Atlanta, Georgia 30329, Attn: Karen Lindsey in memory of Kynlee. Haisten Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
