Henry Daniel Heery
Henry Daniel Heery, age 99, originally of Hapeville, Georgia died April 18, 2007. Mr. Heery was born June 23, 1907 on a farm in Hapeville and lived there for most of his life. He worked 42 years for Georgia Power as a retail store manager in West End Atlanta and district manager. He was a Mason, a deacon in the Hapeville Presbyterian Church, a charter member and officer of the Hapeville Exchange Club and was active in youth baseball in Hapeville. He was named “Man of The Year” in Hapeville in 1962. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Marie Carver; and his second wife, Allene Peeler.
He is survived by his daughter, Marylee Digby and husband Joe of McDonough; son, William Heery of Bartow, Florida; grandchildren, Daniel S. Digby and wife, Deborah of Conyers, Robin Stanton and husband, Michael of Locust Grove, Bonnie Thomason of McDonough, Joe Digby and wife, Davida of Jackson; ten great-grandchildren; sister, Nell Clower of Tucker; brother, Charles Heery and wife Rachel of Decatur; and numerous nieces and nephews
Services were held April 21 at Hapeville Presbyterian Church, with Rev. David Riley officiating. Interment College Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Sacred Journey Hospice Foundation, 138 Peach Drive, McDonough, Georgia, 30253. Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements.

Paul Louis Mann
Paul Louis Mann, age 81, of Locust Grove, Georgia died April 19, 2007. Mr. Mann was born in 1926 in Campbell County, the son of the late Ellis Clyde and Vada Lou Purmort Mann. He served his country in the U.S. Navy during WWII and was a member of the VFW.
He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Jeanette Huddleston Mann; and daughters, Elizabeth Phillips and Delores Rollins, all of Locust Grove, and Paula Haynie of Canton; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; sisters and brother-in-law, Mattie Lou and C.C. Spearman of Union City and Frances Jones of LaGrange; several nieces and nephews.
Services were held April 22 in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home, with Rev. Lewis Strickland officiating. Interment Haisten/Eastlawn Memorial Park. Please make contributions to the American Heart Association in memory of Mr. Mann. Haisten Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Martha Ann Seabolt McDonald
Martha Ann Seabolt McDonald, age 72, of Locust Grove, Georgia died April 14, 2007. Mrs. McDonald was born in Henry County, the daughter of the late Edna Burdett Seabolt and Elbert Frank Seabolt, Sr. She was a member of Philippi Baptist Church. She was retired from the State of Georgia, with 27 plus years of service in the Department of Transportation and Court of Appeals. She was a graduate of McDonough High School Class of 1952. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who enjoyed her family. She enjoyed baking, quilting and sewing, crafts, traveling and gardening.
She is survived by her husband of 24 years, Ben McDonald of Locust Grove; children, Marie and Danny Pickard of Locust Grove, Greg and Kathy Colvin of Statham, Eddie and Melissa Colvin of Kennesaw; stepchildren, Frances and Jim Rodgers, and Dale and Debby Gourley, all of Maryville, Tennessee; 17 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brothers, Elbert Seabolt, Jr. and H. C. Seabolt of Locust Grove; sister, Mary Lou Wilkerson of McDonough; several nieces and nephews.
Services were held April 17 at Philippi Baptist Church, with Rev. Joey Seabolt and Rev. Bill Jackson officiating. Interment Locust Grove Cemetery. Haisten Funeral Home in McDonough in charge of arrangements.

Selena Pauline Ellis Boylan
Selena Pauline Ellis Boylan, age 33, of Locust Grove, Georgia, formerly of Jefferson, died April 15, 2007. Mrs. Boylan was born in Clayton County. She enjoyed her family, church, doing for others, singing, computers, and her animals. She was preceded in death by her mother, Dovie Gibson; and a grandmother, Kate Gibson.
She is survived by her husband, Ronald Boylan of Jefferson; father, Garnett and Carol Ellis of Morrow; sister, Regina Calmes of Locust Grove; brothers, David and Ricky Erickson of Morrow; grandfather, James D. Gibson of Demorest; nephew, Benjamin Lee Calmes, Jr. of Locust Grove; and numerous aunts and uncles and cousins.
Services were held April 18 in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home, with Rev. Allen Montgomery, Rev. Kelby Maxwell and Rev. Jeff Looney officiating. Interment Walnut Grove Cemetery. Haisten Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Lynda Beddingfield
Lynda Beddingfield, age 59, of Stockbridge, Georgia died April 16, 2007. Mrs. Beddingfield was born July 12, 1947 in Macon. She was the executive secretary for the Board of Directors at Henry Medical Center. She was preceded in death by her father, James S. Schell.
She is survived by her husband, James H. Beddingfield of Stockbridge; mother, Louise Clarke of Eatonton; aunts, Nina (Bob) Kimball of Hernando, Florida, Sarah (Floy) McCleary of Soperton; sister, Sandra Caroland of Cumming; niece, Michelle (David) Foley and their children Johnathan and Blake, all of Castle Rock, Colorado; nephew, Lee (Cristy) Caroland and their daughter, Jessica, all of Ellijay; nephew, James (Molly) Caroland and their children Kailey and Presley, all of Ellicott City, Maryland; mother-in-law, Virginia H. Beddingfield of Memphis, Tennessee; brother-in-law, William Drew (Dianne) Beddingfield and their daughter, Ashley, all of Munford, Tennessee; stepsons, Jason Andrew (Shana) Beddingfield of Cordova, Tennessee, and James Ernest (Jennifer) Beddingfield of Atoka, Tennessee.
Services were held April 19 at Macon Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel. Interment Macon Memorial Park. Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements.

Philip Louis Ruppert
Philip Louis Ruppert, age 73, of McDonough, Georgia died April 16, 2007. Mr. Ruppert was born in 1933 in Manhattan, New York, the son of the late Henry William and Phillippine Gertrude Freese Ruppert. He was a popular local attorney who was well respected and loved by all local attorneys, judges, and the local police department. He was known as a lawyer’s lawyer. He served his country in the United States Marine Corp from 1951 – 1954 and considered it a life changing experience. He was not only a die hard Marine, but he felt the call to serve others. He graduated from John Marshall Law School in Atlanta in 1975. He dedicated his life and the last 32 years serving his fellow man. He handled thousands of clients regardless of whether they had money or not. He cared for every client as if it were his own son or daughter. Mr. Ruppert’s wife was his soul mate, partner and constant companion. Their clients loved them for who they were and what they gave to everyone. The lives of all people who met or knew Philip Ruppert were made better because of this man. Mr. Ruppert had retired and moved to Florida in 1997, but moved back to Georgia in 2001. He loved tennis. He loved the Yankees. He was involved in theatrical productions in Florida and with the Henry Players. Mr. Ruppert was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his son, Philip Louis Ruppert, Jr.
He is survived by his soul mate and partner, Dianne Ruppert of Stockbridge; children, Renee and Ken Staples of Lawrenceville, Darlene Godwin of Jefferson, Kelly Ruppert of Jefferson, Michael Mullinax of Indian Harbor, Florida, Cindy and Bob Hargis of Knoxville, Tennessee, Sheila Ruppert and Kim Shaffer of Indian Harbour, Florida, Philip (Beau) Ruppert III of McDonough; 13 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brother, Henry (Bud) Ruppert of Deland, Florida; sister, Eleanor Coady of Buford; numerous nieces and nephews; and his great friend, partner, and confidant, Gary Bowman.
Services were held April 19 in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home with Pastor David Riley, Judge Arch McGarity and Mr. Gary Bowman officiating. Interment Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to Philip Ruppert Memorial Fund, c/o Gary Bowman, Chief Public Defender for Flint Circuit. Haisten Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Kenneth Wayne Suttles
Kenneth Wayne Suttles, Sr., age 68, of Stockbridge, Georgia died April 10, 2007. Mr Suttles was born in 1939 in Johnson County, Alabama, the son of the late James Walford and Thelma Alma Robertson Suttles. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force; was retired from Owens-Illinois; and enjoyed fishing and woodworking.
He is survived by his children, Karen Nesmith of Peachtree City, Ginger and Alan Johnson of Rex, and Kenneth W. Suttles, Jr. of Jacksonville, Florida; grandchildren, Brook Jackson, Vance Nesmith, Shane Nesmith, Will Nesmith, Lindsey Johnson and Taylor Johnson; great-grandchildren, Cole Jackson and Hayden Adams; sisters, Odean and Bob White of Barnesville and Charlotte.
Services were held April 12 in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home, with Pastor Buddy Perstrope officiating. Please make contributions to the American Cancer Society, 2200 Lake Blvd., Atlanta, Georgia, 30319 in memory of Mr. Suttles. Haisten Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Larry Holt
Larry Holt, age 72, of Stockbridge, Georgia died April 12, 2007. Mr. Holt was born in Anniston, Alabama, the son of the late Clarence Wesley and Grace Blackmon Holt. He served our country with the U.S. Marine Corps. He retired from the Henry County Board of Education after teaching at Stockbridge High School for 28 years. He enjoyed traveling, reading, and teaching. But most important to him was spending quality time with his family and offering special help to others in his community. He was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Betty Jo Holt; and infant daughter, Kelly Jane Holt.
He is survived by his children, Scott (Debbie) Holt and William Zack (Kathy) Holt, all of Stockbridge, Heidi (Mel) Holt-Dickey of Locust Grove; sister, Helen Jane Holt of Jackson; grandchildren, Amanda Holt Martin, Laura Avent-Holt, Bridgett Holt Royston, Rebekah Holt, Alan Dickey, Matthew Dickey, Katelyn Dickey, Crystal Mehio, and Misti Boyd.
Services were held April 15 in the chapel of Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors, with Dr. Benny Tate officiating. Interment Oak Hill Cemetery. Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements.

Gayle Payne
Gayle Payne, age 60, of Stockbridge, Georgia died April 12, 2007. Mrs. Payne was born in Atlanta, the daughter of Ione Stamps and Amos J. Moore. She was a member of Mt. Carmel Christian Church and was retired from BellSouth. But most importantly she was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
She is survived by her husband, Benny "Jr." Payne; daughter and son-in-law, Sherry and Michael Franklin; and grandaughter, Anna, all of Conyers.
Services were held April 16 in the chapel of Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors. Interment Fairview Memorial Gardens. Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements.
