Mrs. Lillian Stanford
Mrs. Lillian Stanford, 76, of the Florence Hand Home, formerly of Perry, died Wednesday.
Mrs. Stanford had lived here for the last 19 months with her daughter.
Survivors include a daughter, Gail Stanford of LaGrange; and a son, Gary Stanford of Rebecca.
The family will receive friends at Striffler - Hamby Mortuary at 1010 Mooty Bridge Road this evening from 6 until 8. Funeral services will be Saturday in Ashburn.
Perry Funeral Chapel, 229 - 567 - 3366, is in charge of final arrangements.

Angel Civers
Angel Civers, infant daughter of Gregory and Tasha Freeman Civers, died Friday at West Georgia Medical Center.
Survivors, in addition to her parents, include a brother, Quontravius Civers; a sister, Tyneshia Civers; grandmothers, Yulanda Freeman and Doris Davidson, all of LaGrange; great - grandparents, Clarence Freeman Sr. of LaGrange and Robert and Gertrude Brooks of Gadsden, Ala.; nine aunts, Shirley Jackson, Barbara Gates, Trina Davidson, Betty Davidson, LaCelta Freeman, MeShunda and Spencer Broome and Tanesha Freeman, all of LaGrange, Shiquata and Steven James of Fredericksburg, Va., and Shigodta Freeman of Auburn, Ala.; three uncles, Steve Gates, Jimmy Davidson and Charlie Davidson, all of LaGrange; eight great - aunts, eight great - uncles, and several cousins. She was preceded in death by a grandfather, Clarence Freeman Jr., and great - grandparents, Fred and Emma Kate Pattillo.
Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday in Southview Cemetery with the Rev W.T. Edmondson officiating.
Lakes - Dunson - Robertson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Lucius Boykin Sr.
Lucius Boykin Sr. of 103 Swanson Drive died Saturday at West Georgia Medical Center.
Mr. Boykin, a native of Troup County, was the son of the late Guy and Pearlie Boykin. He was a retired custodian from LaGrange City Schools and was a member of Antioch Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Berma Boykin and Rosie Lee Cofield; two sons, Lucius Boykin Jr. and Henry Lewis Boykin, all of LaGrange; 18 grandchildren, 27 great - grandchildren, five great - great - grandchildren; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and a caregiver Bobby Eugene King. He was preceded in death by four sisters, Ruth Goss, Amanda Sullivan, Addie Hand and Mamie Strong,
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at Antioch Baptist Church on Sunset Street with the Rev. W.T. Edmondson officiating. Burial will be in Southview Cemetery.
The family will be at his home.
A service by Mackey - Wilson - Jennings Funeral Home.

Rose Emma Anderson
Rose Emma Anderson died Sunday at Clearview Rehabilitation Center in Thomaston.
Local survivors include a niece, Shirley Thornton of LaGrange.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at Walker Temple C.M.E. Church in Greenville. Burial will be in Olive Branch Cemetery.
Grant and Parks Funeral Home in Greenville is in charge of arrangements.

James Hardy Jr.
James Hix (Hammer) Hardy Jr., of 919 Borton St. died Wednesday at his home.
Mr. Hardy, a native of Troup County, was the son of the late James and Bessie Moses Hardy. He was an Army veteran of World War II and a concrete finisher. He was an active member o First Baptist Church on Fannin Street where he was on the Usher Board.
Survivors include his wife, Laura Hardy; a daughter, Carolyn Hardy Burke of Cocoa Beach, Fla.: a son, James H. Hardy III; a step - daughter, Darlene Strozier, both of LaGrange; a brother and sister - in - law, Sanders and Erma Lee Hardy of Detroit, Mich.; a sister, Mildred Scott of New York City; and nieces, nephews, cousins in the McCamey, Thornton, Lovelace, Hardy and Cox families and other relatives.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church on Fannin Street with Dr. Clarence Sams officiating Burial will be in Southview Cemetery.
The family will be at his home.
A service by Mackey - Wilson - Jennings Funeral Home.

Ros Crouch
Oscar Roswell Crouch Sr., 82, of 136 Pine Circle died Sunday at his home.
Mr. Crouch, born September 20, 1918, in Troup County, was the son of the late William McCoy and Bernice Cook Crouch. He had lived here all his life and was a retired foreman for Sims Lumber Company.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Mrs. Irene L. Crouch; three grandchildren, Jeanette Gay of Pine Mountain and Melanie Smith and Jeffery Roswell Crouch, both of LaGrange; two great - grandchildren, Anthony Gay and Tyler Bennett; and a daughter - in - law, Alice Crouch Johnson of LaGrange. He was preceded in death by a son, Oscar Roswell (Junebug) Crouch Jr.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Shadowlawn Cemetery with the Revs. Charles W. Chapman and Jessie Sims officiating.
The family will be at his home and will receive friends this evening from 6 until 8 at Striffler - Hamby Mortuary at 1010 Mooty Bridge Road.

Wilbur K. Howard Jr.
Wilbur Keith Howard Jr., 85, of 4575 Imlac Road in Woodbury died Saturday at Hospice LaGrange.
Mr. Howard, born August 2, 1915, in Meriwether County, was the son of the late Wilbur Keith Sr. and Vera Bowles Howard. He was a retired truck driver for Railway Express and a member of Jones Chapel Congregational Christian Church.
Survivors include three daughters, Patricia Howard Hammett of Miami, Fla., Mary Ellen Crockett of Greenville and Sharon Boykin of Peachtree City; three sons, Billy Adcock of Senoia, Buddy Adcock of Wedowee, Ala., and Bruce Cook of LaGrange; a sister, Marion Howard Tidwell of Manchester; 19 grandchildren and 15 great - grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wives, Gladys Walls Howard and Kathryn Stubbs Howard and sons, Bill Howard and Harry Adcock.
Funeral services will be this afternoon at 2 at Jones Chapel Congregational Christian Church with the Rev. James Schwarzlose officiating. Burial will be in the Manchester City Cemetery.

Charles E. Fowler
Charles E. Fowler, 52, of Jonesboro, formerly of Pine Mountain, died Thursday at his home.
Mr. Fowler, born December 23, 1948, in Gwinnett County, was the son of Mrs. Ruby Fowler of Pine Mountain Valley, and the late Diamond Coyt Fowler. He was a self - employed carpenter.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley Jean Fowler; three daughters, Carrie Booder Fowler, Kathy Fowler and Emily Fowler, all of Jonesboro; a son Michael Fowler of Manchester; three grandchildren Carly, Robby, and Zachary; six sisters, Betty Jean Frady of Suwanee, Helen Clark of Cumming, Wanda McDougal, Phyllis Tarver, and Bonnie Rowell, all of Pine Mountain Valley and Annie Jo Williams of Thomaston; two brothers, Jerry Fowler of Pine Mountain and Terry Lee Fowler of Maysville; and several nieces and nephews, He was preceded in death by a son, Bobby Eugene Fowler.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Hunter - Allen - Myhand Funeral Home with the Rev. Bryan Geter officiating. Burial will be in Meadoway Gardens. The family will be at the home of his sister, Wanda McDougal, at 16474 Georgia Highway 116, in Pine Mountain Valley, and will receive friends this evening at the funeral home from 6 until 8.
Hunter - Allen - Myhand Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Eddie Lee Ector
Eddie Lee (Ed Lee) Ector, 61, died Tuesday at West Georgia Medical Center.
Mr. Ector, born June 10. 1939, was the son of the late William and Janie Jenkins Ector. He had lived here all his life.
Survivors include two sisters, Annie Ruth Ector and Annie Mae Ector of Atlanta; a brother, Simon Jenkins of New York City, N.Y.; two uncles, Eddie and Mary Ann Jenkins and Melvin Jenkins, all of LaGrange; a close cousin, Doris McGhee of LaGrange; nieces, other cousins and a number of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Louise United Methodist Church on the Hines Road with the Rev. W.E. Geter officiating. burial will be in the Beasley Cemetery in the Louise Community.
The family will be at the home of his cousin Doris McGhee, at 1175 Hines Road.
Lakes - Dunson - Robertson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Howard Mason
Howard Mason, 75, of Valley, Ala., died Thursday at his home.
Mr. Mason, born March 25, 1925, in Niles, Ohio, was the son of the late Herman Harry and Kathryn Miller Mason. He was a Marine Corps veteran of World War II and retired from the Valley Times News as classified advertising manager. Prior to that he worked at the West Point Pepperell Mill Store and Sear Roebuck in Lanett. He was a 50 year member of the West Point Masonic Lodge, the Valley Lions Club and Shawmut First Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son and daughter - in - law, Steve and Suellen Mason of the Gabbettville Community; a daughter and son - in - law, Cheryl and Jerome Milner of Easley, S.C.; three grandchildren, Stuart Mason, Spencer Mason and Emily Jane Milner; a sister, Lee Brock of Cullman, Ala., and a brother, Warren Mason of Birmingham, Ala. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jane Lott Mason.
Funeral services will be this morning at 11 with Dr. Jerome King officiating.
Flowers will be accepted or those desiring may contribute to the Valley Lions Club in memory of Mr. Mason.
