Essie Coker
THOMASTON - Services for Essie Leona Waddell Coker will be at 3 p.m. Sunday in Faith Baptist Church with burial in Upson Memorial Gardens. Coker, 92, died Thursday, June 8, 2000. Born in Washington, Ala., she lived most of her life in Upson County. She worked in the twister room at Martha Mills for 47 years. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church.

Survivors include her children Jerry Coker, Charlene Patrick and Linda Watson, all of Thomaston, and Janice Watson of Macon; sister, Juanita Waddell of Thomaston; nine grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today in Coggins Funeral Home.

Rodney Cumbus Sr.
WARNER ROBINS - Services for Rodney F. Cumbus Sr. will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in McCullough Funeral Home with entombment in Magnolia Park Mausoleum. Cumbus, 75, died Thursday, June 8, 2000. An Army veteran of World War II, he was a machinist, retired from Robins Air Force Base. He was a member of Second Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife; children Rodney F. Cumbus Jr. and Linda Diane Bateman, both of Warner Robins; brothers and sister Tony Cumbus, Mitchell Cumbus and Ron Cumbus, all of Florahomme, Fla., and Jeanette Rogers of Roanoke, Ala.; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today in the funeral home.

Jacqueline Dawson
CORDELE - Services for Jacqueline "Toot" Dawson will be at 4 p.m. Sunday in New Oak Grove Baptist Church with burial in Bethel Cemetery. Dawson, 42, died Wednesday, June 7, 2000. She was a member of New Oak Grove Baptist Church.

Survivors include her children, Requal S. Carter, Charles Windom Jr., Henry Dawson, Tosha Dawson, Lavara Polite and Travis McCloud; parents, Wynette Jordan of Cordele and Roosevelt Zanders Sr. of Fort Pierce, Fla.; sisters and brothers, Beverly Lowe of Cordele, Cassandra Spivey and Sharon Taylor, both of St. Petersburg, Fla., Tasha Zanders of Fort Pierce, Roosevelt Zanders Jr. and Reginald Zanders, both of Americus, and Samuel Jordan of Oakland, Calif.; grandmother, Sallie Mae Childs of Vienna; and 13 grandchildren.

Bentley Carson Memorial Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.

Jesse Glee
HAWKINSVILLE - Services for Jesse James Glee will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in New Hope Baptist Church with burial in New Hope Cemetery. Glee, 54, died Monday, June 5, 2000. He was born in Pulaski County, son of the late Lugene Edwards and Yank Glee. He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church.

Survivors include his children Renae Glee and Frank James Glee, both of Orlando, Fla., Tosha Glee of Memphis, Tenn., and Willie James Glee of Rochelle; sisters and brothers Johnnie Mae Colson, Minnie Peavy and Gene Autry Glee, all of Hawkinsville, Rosa Mae Dillard, Herbert Glee and Strong Glee, all of Cordele, Willie Lawrence Glee of Atlanta and Johnny Glee of Vienna.

Raymond Goree
MILLEDGEVILLE - Services for Raymond J. Goree will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in Williams White Columns Funeral Home with burial in County Line Baptist Church Cemetery. Goree, 78, died Friday, June 9, 2000, at his residence. He was born in Randolph County, son of the late Claude and Mary T. Goree. He was retired from Georgia Power after 35 years and from civil service after 10 years. He was a member of Northside Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Lois Jackson Goree; children Brenda Del Goree Johnson and Cheryl Goree Smettz, both of Milledgeville; and two grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today in the funeral home and from 1 to 2 p.m. Sunday.

Hazel Griffin
HAWKINSVILLE - Services for Hazel H. Griffin will be at 4 p.m. today in Liberty Hill United Methodist Church with burial in Morningside Cemetery, Rochelle. Griffin, 75, died Thursday, June 8, 2000. She was born in Pulaski County, daughter of the late William T. and Carrie Summers Harris. She had lived in Pulaski County for the past 10 years, having moved from Rochelle, where she lived for 45 years. She was a member of Liberty Hill United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her children Joan Pape of Bonaire, June Miller of Fort Walton Beach, Fla., and Dee Dee Goss of Hawkinsville; brother and sister, Odie Harris and Evelyn Massengale, both of Macon; and four grandchildren.

Frazier and Son Funeral Home in Rochelle has charge of arrangements.

Hubert Groseclose Jr.
MILLEDGEVILLE - Services for Hubert F. Groseclose Jr. will be at 2 p.m. today in First United Methodist Church in Milledgeville with burial at 2 p.m. Sunday in Oakwood Cemetery, Pulaski, Va. He was born in Pulaski, son of the late Hubert F. Groseclose Sr. and Mary Shuff. He graduated from the University of Virginia, was a World War II veteran and was retired from Allied Chemical Co. He was a member of First United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Ellen M. Steger Groseclose; children Hubert F. Groseclose III of Douglasville and David Groseclose of Milledgeville; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, 300 W. Hancock St., Milledgeville 31061. Moores Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.

Benjamin Hammock Sr.
ROBERTA - Services for Benjamin M. Hammock Sr. will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Crest Lawn Funeral Home, Macon, with burial in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. Hammock, 42, died Friday, June 9, 2000. He was an electrician with Armstrong World Industries. He was a coach with Roberta Little League. He was a member of Union No. 461. He was a member of Rogers Road Church.

Survivors include his wife, Virginia H. Hammock; children Jennifer Reynolds of Lizella, Benjamin M. Hammock Jr. and William M. Hammock, both of Roberta; parents, Harvey L. Hammock Sr. and Mary Hammock of Lizella; brothers and sister Harvey Hammock Jr. of Byron, Kenneth Hammock of Stockbridge, Robert Hammock of Lizella and Stella O'Reilly of Macon; and a grandchild.

Leo Harris
NEW YORK CITY - Services for Leo Harris will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Bentley & Sons Funeral Home, Macon, with burial in Woodlawn Memorial Park. Harris died Wednesday, May 31, 2000. He was born in Bland County, Va., son of the late Robert and Nannie Harris. He served four years in the Marine Corps and was a Vietnam War veteran.

Survivors include his wife, Jennifer Harris; and sisters and brothers Barbara Wilson, David Harris, Laura Clemons and Herbert Morris, all of Macon, Eugene Harris of California, Fred Harris of Culver City, Calif., James Harris of Long Beach, Calif., Maxine Clemons of Eastman, Joan Adams of Jackson, N.C., and Patricia Primus of Weldon, N.C.

Lee Hicks
WRIGHTSVILLE - Services for Lee Wesley Hicks will be at 2 p.m. today in Mount Pleasant AME Church with burial in the church cemetery. Hicks, 66, died Sunday, June 4, 2000.

Survivors include his brother and sister, Lee Lewis Hicks of Chicago and Essie Mae Worthen of Wrightsville.

Lena Houston
DUBLIN - Services for Lena Houston will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Buckeye Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Houston, 46, died Wednesday, June 7, 2000.

Survivors include her son, Tracy Henderson; stepson, Wyman Montford; mother, Annie Maude Moore of Dublin; and five grandchildren.

Phyllis MacKeen
WARNER ROBINS - Services for Phyllis Althea MacKeen will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Sacred Heart Catholic Church with burial in Andersonville National Cemetery. MacKeen, 77, died Thursday, June 8, 2000. A homemaker, telephone operator and a Red Cross volunteer for 32 years, she was a member of the Robins Air Force Base Officers Wives Club. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Survivors include her husband, Maj. Arnold MacKeen; son, Gregory A. MacKeen of Orlando, Fla.; sister, Jane Smith of Tampa, Fla.; and a grandchild.

A rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Sunday in McCullough Funeral Home with visitation until 9 p.m.

Charles McDuffie
WARNER ROBINS - Services for Charles D. McDuffie will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Christopher-Smith Funeral Home with burial in Magnolia Park Cemetery. McDuffie, 67, died Thursday, June 8, 2000. He was an Air Force veteran and was retired from Robins Air Force Base after 28 years. He was a member of American Legion and Loyal Order of Moose and was a Master Mason and Shriner.

Survivors include his wife, Rebecca Snay; children, Jeffrey Snay and Mark Snay, both of Warner Robins; sisters and brother, Martha Ellen Kilpatrick of Fitzgerald, Nell Taylor of New Mexico, Katherine Wilkes of Ocilla, Theresa Bloom of Miami Shores, Fla., and Robert McDuffie of Warner Robins; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the Hospice of Houston County.

W.C. McKinley
PITTS - Services for W.C. "Cecil" McKinley will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in Union Baptist Church with burial in Union Cemetery. McKinley, 82, died Thursday, June 8, 2000. He was born in Wilcox County, son of the late Horace and Irene McKinley. A retired farmer, he was a member of Rochelle Masonic Lodge No. 190 F&AM and the Cordele Lions Club. He was a member of Union Baptist Church.

Survivors include his children Wayne McKinley of Pitts, Janice Dent of Sylvester and Sandra Coptsias of Plains; brothers and sister, Harold McKinley of Houston, Texas, Gerald McKinley and Charles McKinley, both of Orange Park, Fla., John McKinley of Green Cove Springs, Fla., and Mary Fletcher of Kerrville, Texas; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today in Frazier & Son Funeral Home, Rochelle, and may be contacted at the residence on Cleveland Avenue, Pitts.
