Idlean Skelton
SOPERTON - Services for Idlean Skelton will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in Rosemont Cemetery, Treutlen County. Skelton, 79, died Friday, Aug. 11, 2000. She attended Bethsaida Baptist Church.

Survivors include her son, Robert Phillips of Rome.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today in Sammons Funeral Home.

Maude Smith
ST. MARYS - Services for Maude Helen Downs Smith will be at 3 p.m. Sunday in St. Marys First Baptist Church. Additional services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Davisboro Baptist Church with burial in Davisboro Cemetery. Smith, 85, died Thursday, Aug. 10, 2000. She was a former member of Davisboro Baptist Church and was a member of St. Marys First Baptist Church, where she was a member of the Dorcas Sunday School Class and the Jean Dickman Group.

Survivors include her children, Gloria S. Harrison of Dacula, William Smith of St. Marys and James Smith of Douglasville; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today in Ed Miller Dekle Wainright Funeral Home, Kingsland. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church in St. Marys or the American Cancer Society.

Jesse Wall
SOPERTON - Services for Jesse M. Wall will be at 4 p.m. Sunday in Sammons Funeral Home with burial in Westview Cemetery. Wall, 80, died Friday, Aug. 11, 2000. He was a retired minister, was also retired from Mohawk Industries in Dublin and was a school bus driver in Treutlen County. He was a member of Soperton Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Survivors include his wife, Opal Wall; children Roger Wall of Soperton and Mike Wall of Gray; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; six stepgrandchildren; and nine great-step-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today in the funeral home.

Tom Walsh
HORTENSE - Services for Tom "Bo" Walsh will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in Ricketson Funeral Home, Douglas, with burial in Denton Cemetery. Walsh, 66, died Thursday, Aug. 10, 2000. An Army veteran of the Korean War, he was a farmer. He attended Twin Rivers Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Cynthia Walsh; children Sherry Sartaine of Fernandina Beach, Fla., Sandra Bartram and Mark Walsh, both of Folkston, Larry Walsh of Milledgeville, David Walsh of Leesburg, and John Walsh of Hortense; brother and sister, Odell Walsh of Alma and Zella Ellis of Hortense; and eight grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. today in the funeral home.

Earnest White
CORDELE - Services for Earnest D. White will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Hughes & Wright Funeral Home with burial in Sunnyside Cemetery. White, 55, died Friday, Aug. 11, 2000. He was a steel cutter with The Harris Group and was a member of Third Street Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Mary N. White; children Bobby White of Byromville and Danny White of Cordele; stepchildren Jason Edwards of Waycross and James Edwards of Montezuma; brothers and sisters Charles White, Horace White and Margaret Wainwright, all of Thomaston, Mildred Swailes of York, S.C., Arlene Smith, Pauline Walden and Verna Dickerson, all of Covington, and Catherine Watson of Yatesville; a grandchild; and two great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Crisp Regional Hospice.

Mary Wood
WARNER ROBINS - Services for Mary Combes Wood will be at 11 a.m. today in Christopher-Smith Funeral Home with burial at 2 p.m. in Snowhill Church Cemetery. Wood, 79, died Thursday, Aug. 10, 2000. The daughter of the late Joseph and Pearl Combes, she was a homemaker. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, O.D. Wood; children Roger Wood of Milton, Fla., Faye Palmer of Cumming, Sue Kerzak of Grafton, W.Va., and Sandra Gentzler of Warner Robins; sister, Evyonne Grisham of Carrollton; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at 10 a.m. today in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Hospice of Houston County, P.O. Box 1023, Warner Robins 31099-1023.

Dorothy Yawn
ARABI - Services for Dorothy Sue Yawn will be at 11 a.m. today in Arabi Baptist Church with burial in Arabi Cemetery. Yawn, 67, died Thursday, Aug. 10, 2000. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include her husband, Calvin Yawn; daughter, Judith Milam of Arabi; mother, Evelyn Christian of Ashburn; brother and sisters Bobby Christian of McRae, Mary Harris of Aberdeen, N.C., Martha Helms of Arabi and Carolyn Jones of Ashburn; and a grandchild.

Dekle Funeral Home in Cordele has charge of arrangements.

Betty Adams
MILLEDGEVILLE - Services for Betty Burris Adams will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Moores Funeral Home with burial in Oak Grove Methodist Church cemetery. Adams, 63, died Saturday, Nov. 28, 1998. Born in Hart County, she had made her home in Baldwin County for the past 15 years. She was a retired textile mill employee.

Survivors include her children, James W. Burris Jr., Eddie Burris, Tim Burris, and Terrie Parker, all of Milledgeville, Bobby Burris of Gray, Glenn Burris of Ivey, and Shirley Harrison of Toomsboro; brother, Charles Jones of Pendleton, S.C.; 15 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 tonight in the funeral home.

J.B. Burdette
EASTMAN - Services for J.B. Burdette will be at 2 p.m. Monday in New Daniels Baptist Church with burial in Antioch No. 2 Cemetery in south Dodge County. Burdette, 93, died Friday, Nov. 27, 1998. The son of the late Oscar W. and Katie Lou Norton Burdette, he was born in Spalding County. He was a retired employee of the Selig Co. in Atlanta and lived in Dodge County for the past 30 years. He was the oldest member of New Daniels Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Doris Burdette; children, Mary Frances May of Marietta and Kathryn Burdette of Covington; brother, Lenwood Burdette of Duluth; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight in Stokes-Southerland Funeral Home, and may be contacted at the residence, Route 1, Abbeville Road. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Senior Citizens Center, Oak Street, Eastman. The body will be placed in the church one hour before services.

Irvin Burnett
Services for Irvin Eugene Burnett will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Macon Memorial Park. Burnett, 73, died Friday, Nov. 27, 1998. Born in Coatsville County, Ind., he was a longtime resident of Macon, and a member of Bloomfield United Methodist Church. He was a former co-owner of L.T. Burnett and Sons Trucking Company. He was a veteran of the Army.

Survivors include his children, Kenneth Burnett, Dennis Burnett and Karen Lamberth, all of Macon, and Kathy Floyd of Moultrie; and five grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight in Crest Lawn Funeral Home.

Willie Coney
HAWKINSVILLE - Services for Willie Coney will be at 1 p.m. today in Union Chapel Baptist Church with burial in Lynwood Cemetery. Coney, 82, died Tuesday, Nov. 24, 1998. Born in Pulaski County, he was the son of the late Willie James and Mamie Coney. He was retired after 25 years with Heart of Georgia Peanuts & Gin.

Survivors include his sister, Annie Ruth Gant of Detroit.

The family may be contacted at 331 Fale St. The body will be placed in the church an hour before services. Powell Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.

Marie Davis
WARNER ROBINS - Services for Marie Wilson Davis will be at 2 p.m. today in Parkway Memorial Gardens. Davis, 82, died Friday, Nov. 27, 1998. Born in Clearlake, Ind., she was the daughter of the late Edgar and Lula Mae Wilson. A former resident of Battle Creek, Mich., she moved to Warner Robins in 1980 and was a homemaker.

Survivors include her husband, Joseph Davis; children, Lewayne Davis of Warner Robins, Cheryle Scheidler and Joyce Englert, both of Battle Creek, Mich.; and two grandchildren.

McCullough Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.

Ronnie Davis
Services for Ronnie "R.D." Davis will be at 3 p.m. Monday in Ingleside Memorial Chapel. Burial will be private. Davis, 56, died Saturday, Nov. 28, 1998. The son of the late Haywood Davis, he was a Marine Corps veteran. He was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church.

Survivors include his children, Angel Hart, Dylan Davis and Haywood Davis, all of Macon; mother, Corine Johnston of Macon; brother and sister, Gary Davis of Lizella and Brenda Gerbert of Warner Robins; stepbrother, Bynum Johnston Jr. of Macon; and two grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. today in Ingleside Memorial Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to United Hospice, 2484 Ingleside Ave., Macon 31204, or to Thomas Burke Foundation, 804 Cherry St., Macon 31204.

Paul Elsasser
Services for Paul E. Elsasser will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Macon Memorial Park. Elsasser, 62, died Saturday, Nov. 28, 1998. He was an Army veteran, serving in the Korean War. He was retired from Robins Air Force Base after 32 years of service. He was a member of Second Baptist Church.

Survivors include his children, Paul Elsasser Jr., Douglas Elsasser, Michael Elsasser, and Carol Jones, all of Macon; brothers and sister, James Elsasser of Chamblee and Marvin Elsasser, both of Macon and Mildred Bryan of Warner Robins; and five grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday in Hart's Mortuary.
