Odessa S. Brown
THOMASTON - Services for Odessa Smith Brown will be at 2 p.m. today in Coggins Funeral Home with burial in Crystal Hill Cemetery. Brown died Monday, June 5, 2000. Born in Meriweather County, she lived most of her life in Upson County and was retired from the weave room at Thomaston Mills. She was a member of Beulah Baptist Church.

Survivors include her children William E. Brown, Joan Burel and Juanita Watson, all of Thomaston; and sisters Ruby Reeves of Griffin and Francis Selph of Thomaston.

Leonard Dickinson
DUBLIN - Services for Leonard G. Dickinson will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Poplar Springs Methodist Church Cemetery. Dickinson, 88, died Tuesday, June 6, 2000. He was born in Birmingham, Ala., son of the late Henry and Bessie Dickinson. A World War II veteran, he served in the Georgia Air National Guard and retired as a master sergeant from the Air Force after more than 20 years of service.

Survivors include his wife, Pearl Williams Dickinson; children Lila Labonte of Dublin and Pat Fresh of Anniston, Ala.; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

The family may be contacted at 1011 Anderson St. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Laurens County Library, Library for the Blind and Physically Handicapped, P.O. Box 100, Dublin 31040. Hart's Mortuary in Macon has charge of arrangements.

Frances M. Hill
PEMBROKE PINES, Fla. - Services for Frances Mullis Hill will be at 10 a.m. today in First Baptist Church of Davie-Cooper City, Fla., with burial in Vista Memorial Gardens, Pembroke Pines. Hill, 72, died Thursday, June 1, 2000, in a local hospital. Daughter of the late Raymond C. and Alma Slaton Mullis, she was born in Thomas County and was retired from Eastern Airlines. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Davie-Cooper City.

Survivors include her son, John A. Hill of Pembroke Pines; brother and sister, Raymond C. Mullis Jr. of Inverness, Fla., and Martha M. Everett of Abbeville; and two grandchildren.

Joseph A. Scarano Funeral Home in Pembroke Pines has charge of arrangements.

Michael Mallery
SANDERSVILLE - Services for Michael Ray Mallery will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints with burial at 3 p.m. in Lawnwood Memorial Gardens, Covington. Mallery was born in Millington, Tenn., attended Sandersville Vocational and Technical School and was an Eagle Scout with Boy Scout Troop No. 77 of Savannah. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Diane C. and Earl Payne of Sandersville; father, Timothy Mallery of Covington; sister, Kristina M. Pulliam of Sandersville; half-sisters Jessica Mallery and Kayla Mallery, both of Covington; stepsister and stepbrother, Celita Head and Randy Payne, both of Savannah; and grandparents Mildred Mallery and Marietta Cheek, both of Covington.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today in May and Smith Funeral Home and may be contacted at 704 Gwendolyn St.

Olive New
AUGUSTA - Services for Olive W. New will be at 1 p.m. today in Elliott Sons Funeral Home with burial in Westview Cemetery, Wrightsville. New, 76, died Tuesday, June 6, 2000. Born in Wrightsville, she was a homemaker. She was a member of Silvercrest Baptist Church.

Survivors include her children Fred R. New Sr. of Macon and Leonard T. New of Augusta; sister, Janice Williams of Wrightsville; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Jarvis Phelps
MILLEDGEVILLE - Services for Jarvis Antwain Phelps will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in the Chapel of All Faiths with burial in Mount Hope CME Church Cemetery. Phelps, 15, died Friday, June 2, 2000, in Daytona Beach, Fla. Born in Baldwin County, he was an upcoming ninth-grader at Baldwin High School. He was christened at Mount Hope CME Church.

Survivors include his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Johnny Alvin Phelps of Milledgeville; sister, Jennifer Ashley Phelps of Milledgeville; and grandparents, Morgan Phelps and Julia Lee Brown, both of Milledgeville.

Jerod Phelps

BYRON - Services for Sheila Marie Pierce will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Byron United Methodist Church with burial in Andersonville National Cemetery. Pierce, 47, died Tuesday, June 6, 2000. Born in Charleston, S.C., she was a homemaker and a member of Byron United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Calvin L. Pierce; son, Jason C. Pierce of Suwanee; father, Edwin Lankowski of Byron; and brother and sisters Chuck Lankowski and Cindy Jacobs, both of Byron, and Terry Abaonza of Marion, Ill.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today in Rooks Funeral Home, Byron.

Robert W. Reagan
Memorial services for Robert W. Reagan will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Cherokee Heights United Methodist Church. Burial will be private. Reagan, 85, died Monday, June 5, 2000, at his residence. He was born in Americus, son of the late Ralph Emmett and Sarah Ellen Jackson Reagan. He graduated from Lanier High School and Mercer University and was a Marine Corps veteran of World War II. He was the retired director of maintenance for the Bibb County Board of Education. He was a member of the Exchange Club of Macon, was past member of the Bibb County Grand Jurors Association and former president of the Georgia School Business Officials. He was a member of Cherokee Heights United Methodist Church and taught the Penland Bible Class.

Survivors include his wife, Frances Estes Reagan; daughter, Fran R. Thompson of Fort Walton Beach, Fla.; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Snow's Memorial Chapel, Cherry Street, has charge of arrangements.

Woodrow Resseau
THOMSON - Services for Woodrow Thomas Resseau will be at 11 a.m. today in Williams White Columns Funeral Home with burial in Westview Cemetery. Resseau, 88, died Monday, June 5, 2000. Born in Putnam County, he was son of the late Thomas and Lizzie Youngblood Resseau. He lived in Milledgeville a few years before retiring to Thomson. He was a former security officer and a Mason. He was a member of Hardwick Christian Church.

Survivors include his wife, Lillian Hood Resseau; daughter, Kathryn Mobley of Thomson; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

The family will meet friends from 10:30 until 11 a.m. today in the funeral home.

Annette Rice
FORSYTH - Memorial services for Annette L. Rice will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Bentley & Sons Funeral Home, Macon. Rice, 47, died Monday, June 5, 2000. She was born in Bibb County, daughter of the late William Cheeley.

Survivors include her children Gregory Rice Jr. of Statesboro, and Anthony Rice and Candice Rice, both of Forsyth; mother, Annie L. Cheeley of Macon; and sisters and brothers Benjamin Bass, William Bass and Janis Watkins, all of Macon.

The family may be contacted at 280 Charles Johnson Road. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or any local hospice.

Ann Russell
EAST DUBLIN - Services for Ann Janet Calloway Russell will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Adams Funeral Home, Dublin. Russell, 69, died Tuesday, June 6, 2000, in a Dublin hospital after a brief illness. She was born in Washington County, Okla., daughter of the late Robert Milton and Eula Talbott Calloway. She was a Baptist.

Survivors include her husband, Edgar A. Russell; son, Scott Russell of Lugoff, S.C.; brother, Jerry Kaplan of Burnsville, Minn.; a grandchild; and five great-grandchildren.

Alice Shehee
BUTLER - Services for Alice Layfield Shehee will be at 11 a.m. today in Bethlehem Primitive Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Shehee, 79, died Monday, June 5, 2000, at her residence. The widow of Herbert G. Shehee, she was a lifelong resident of Taylor County and was a homemaker. She was a member of Bethlehem Primitive Baptist Church.

Survivors include her children Herbert Daniel Shehee, Edward Hoyt Shehee and Thomas Neal Shehee, all of Butler; brothers and sisters Leonard Layfield and Lois Shehee, both of Butler, M.L. Layfield, Eugene Layfield, Edgar Layfield and Reece Layfield, all of Ideal, and Edna Kelly of Columbus; and three grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Bethlehem Primitive Baptist Church Building Fund or Cemetery Fund. Edwards Funeral Home in Butler has charge of arrangements.

Edna Tucker
OCILLA - Services for Edna Seymour Tucker will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Spring Hill Primitive Baptist Church with burial in Spring Hill Cemetery. Tucker, 88, died Tuesday, June 6, 2000. Daughter of the late James H. and Martha Tucker Seymour, she worked for A.S. Harris Department Store for more than 25 years. She was a member of Spring Hill Primitive Baptist Church and the Spring Hill Ladies Circle.

Survivors include her children Ortiz Harper, Seymour Harper and Lyte Harper, all of Ocilla, Alice H. Douglas of Baxley and Margaret H. Young of Kingsford, Mich.; brothers and sister the Rev. Brantley Seymour of Roswell, W.A. Seymour of Brunswick and Martha Jim Maddox of Macon; 22 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in Paulk Funeral Home, Ocilla.

Roger Ussery Sr.
McRAE - Services for Roger J. Ussery Sr. will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Macedonia Baptist Church with burial in Mount Carmel Cemetery, Dexter, with full military honors. Ussery died Monday, June 5, 2000. A graduate of the University of Georgia, he received an undergraduate degree in horticulture and animal husbandry. He had a six-year certificate in special education. He was the former owner and operator of the Wilkinson County newspaper, The Bulletin. He was an educator for more than 40 years and taught in Telfair, Laurens and Coffee counties. He was an Army veteran of World War II and a survivor of Pearl Harbor. He received the Pearl Harbor Congressional Commemorative Medal of Honor and the national VFW "Aide-De-Camp" Award. He was named to the VFW Post No. 7394 Hall of Fame, was the 8th District American Legion chaplain for 30 years, and was a past 8th District American Legion commander. He served as commander of VFW posts No. 7394 and No. 8536, both of which he chartered. He was a member of American Legion Post No. 211. He was a member and deacon of Macedonia Baptist Church and was a Baptist minister.

Survivors include his wife, Jenelle Ussery of Milan; children Roger J. Ussery Jr. of Homosassa, Fla., James Timothy Ussery of Dexter, Richard Wilson Ussery of Dublin, Mary Frances Ussery-Vaughn of Macon and Betty Gwendolyn Newsome of Hollywood, Fla.; brother, Miles Ray Ussery of Jackson; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today in Vaughn Funeral Home.
