DOUGLAS, Ga. -- Mrs. Alma Todd McLean, 91, of West Gordon Street, died Monday, Feb. 16, 1998, in Coffee County.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. today in Douglas City Cemetery with the Rev. James E. Duke Jr. officiating.
Mrs. McLean, a native of Toombs County, was a homemaker and a member of First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include one son, William Y. McLean, Augusta; two sisters, June Baker, Dallas, and Jean Strickland; and three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Charles Cross, Bunny Evans, Earl Watkins Sr. and Warren Minchew.

Mr. John Mickens
PLUM BRANCH, S.C. -- Mr. John Mickens, 49, of Route 1, died Monday, Feb. 23, 1998, at Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Augusta.
The funeral will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Cedar Spring Baptist Church with the Revs. E.L. Cain and J.W. Price officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mr. Mickens, a native of Lincolnton, Ga., was a cement finisher and an Army veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Alta L. Talbert Mickens; one son, Donald Freeman, New Jersey; two stepdaughters, Yuleshia Talbert and Courtney R. Talbert, both of Plum Branch; his mother, Mattie Mae Harris, Augusta; three brothers, James Harris Jr. and Claude Harris, both of Augusta, and Willie Walton, Lincolnton; one sister, Peggy Hunter, Augusta; and three grandchildren.

Mrs. Jeanie Monahan
Civil service retiree
Mrs. Jeanie M. Monahan, 64, of 3728 Inverness Way, Martinez, died Tuesday, Feb. 24, 1998, at her residence.
The funeral will be at 3:30 p.m. Friday at Poteet Funeral Home, Wheeler Road, with the Rev. Thomas Peyton officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Mrs. Monahan, a native of Lincolnton, Ga., was retired from the civil service at Fort Gordon. She was a member of St. Mary On The Hill Catholic Church and West Lake Country Club.
Survivors include her husband, Chuck Monahan; two daughters, Sharon M. Harper and Melody E. Monahan, both of Martinez; and three grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Bill Williams, Lyn Allgood, Bobby Dressel, Jack Parel, George Mitchell and Ron Rutkowski.

EDGEFIELD, S.C. -- Mr. Fellie Morgan, 79, of 43 Morgan Road, died Tuesday, Feb. 24, 1998.
The funeral arrangements will be announced at a later date.
Mr. Morgan, a native of Edgefield County, was a retired maintenance operator and a veteran of World War II. He was a member of Moores African Methodist Episcopal Church, Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion, Freeman Grove Society, Moores Senior Choir and the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People.
Survivors include his wife, Catherine Morgan; one son, Vonro D. Morgan, Edgefield; three stepsons, Rory T. Knox, Jacksonville, Fla., Jackson L. Knox, Aiken, and Robert Knox, Edgefield; one brother, Edward Morgan, Edgefield; three sisters, Eliza Ann Morgan, Sallie Williams and Ella Walton, all of Edgefield; and four stepgrandchildren.

Mrs. Lena Gertrude ``Trudy'' Peel, 94, of 3545 Mistletoe Road, Appling, died Monday, Feb. 23, 1998.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. today at Immanuel Baptist Church, North Augusta, with the Revs. Jerry Gay and Jimmy Coyle officiating. Burial will be in Pineview Memorial Garden, North Augusta.
Mrs. Peel, a native of Millen, Ga., was a homemaker and a member of Immanuel Baptist Church. She was a member of Moose Lodge No. 1361, Savannah.
The family said, ``She dedicated her life to her family and was active in her church as long as she was able. We will miss her and we love her.''
Survivors include one son, Walter Lee ``Buck'' Peel Jr., Edgefield, S.C.; three daughters, Margaret E. Redd, Savannah, Betty Patricia Peterson, McGregor, Minn, and Gloria Jean Kelly, Appling; and 18 grandchildren, 55 great-grandchildren and 24 great-great-grandchildren.

MIAMI -- Ms. Mary White Scott died Friday, Feb. 20, 1998, at North Show Medical Center.

Ms. Scott, a native of Jackson County, Marianna, was a homemaker and a Baptist.

Mr. Neely Scott, of 1563 Picquet Ave., died Sunday, Feb. 22, 1998, at University Hospital.

Mr. Scott, a native of Burke County, was retired from the Medical College of Georgia.

Mrs. Agnes B. Showalter, 89, of 561 University Drive, died Wednesday, Feb. 25, 1998.

Mrs. Showalter, a native of Social Circle, Ga., was retired from King Mill and a member of West Acres Baptist Church, where she was a member of Believers Sunday School Class, Wheatley Circle of Women Missionary Union and senior adults of church. She was a past state councilor of Georgia, a member of Daughters of America, where she served as state secretary, Council No. 21 Daughters of America, past Matron Eastern Star, Elizabeth Chapter No. 43, Eastern Star member, past Matrons and Patrons Club, District No. 17, past Noble Grand and Woodlawn No. 24 Rebecca Assembly and emeritus director of King Mill Savings and Credit Union.
Survivors include one daughter, Nell H. Tyson, Grovetown; one brother, John R. Baxter Jr., Augusta; three sisters, Naomi Key, Lockport, Ill., Mabel Roberts, Augusta, and Juanita Dantzler, Martinez; and three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Flora Mikel Skinner, 91, of Sandra Drive, died Wednesday, Feb. 25, 1998, at her residence.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Poteet Funeral Home, Peach Orchard Road. Burial will be in Westover Memorial Park.
Mrs. Skinner, a native of Cleveland, Tenn., was the retired co-owner of Skinner Mattress Co. and a member of Crawford Avenue Baptist Church, where she was a member, past president and treasurer of Toney Ellington Sunday School Class and a member of senior fellowship. She was a member of the ladies auxiliary of Richmond Lodge No. 716 and the Order of the Easter Star.
Survivors include two sons, Montey S. Skinner and Mikel B. Skinner, both of Augusta; one daughter, Peggy Jean Odenweller, Augusta; and seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons and nephews.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Toney Ellington Sunday School Class.
