Mrs. Phyllis Bryan

Homemaker

ATLANTA -- Mrs. Phyllis Bailey Bryan, 95, of 3747 Peachtree Road N.E., died Friday, March 20, 1998, at Lenbrook Square.

The funeral will be at 2:30 p.m. today at First Presbyterian Church, Union Point, with the Rev. Kevin Campbell officiating. Burial will be in Wisteria Cemetery, Union Point.

Mrs. Bryan, a native of Shelbina, Mo., was a homemaker and a charter member and former president of the Union Point Garden Club. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Union Point, where she was a member, former president and treasurer of the Women of the Church, and served on the hostess committee.

Survivors include a son, F. Sibley Bryan Jr.; and three grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Lanier Rhodes, W.H. Rhodes Jr., Ed Corry, Dave Heffner, Frank Barnes and Tim Bramlett.

Honorary pallbearers will be current and former elders of First Presbyterian Church, Union Point.

Memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church, Union Point; or to the Minnie G. Boswell Hospital Foundation.

Callaway Funeral Home, Union Point, is in charge of arrangements.

Jack Dunn

Student

SPARTA, Ga. -- Jack Nicholas Dunn, 17, of Route 3, died Friday, March 20, 1998, at Hancock Memorial Hospital.

The funeral will be at 3 p.m. today at Knowles Chapel Methodist Church with the Rev. Stiles Cobb officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Jack, a native of Baldwin County, was a student at Baldwin High School, Milledgeville.

Survivors include his parents, Al and Ann Dunn, Sparta; a brother, William Dunn, Sparta; and his grandmothers, Frances Dunn and Gladys Martin, both of Sparta.

Friends may call at Patterson Funeral Home.

Mrs. Judy Frazier

Retired bookkeeper

Mrs. Judy H. Frazier, 54, of 3108 Wyman St., died Friday, March 20, 1998, at University Hospital.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. today at Poteet Funeral Home, Peach Orchard Road, with the Rev. Jeff Hines officiating. Burial will be in Bellevue Memorial Gardens, Grovetown.

Mrs. Frazier, a native of Louisville, was a retired bookkeeper and a member of First Church of the Nazarene.

Survivors include two sons, Gene R. Frazier Jr. and Lanny L. Frazier, both of Augusta; two daughters, Paula Gregory, Dearing, and Shannon Campbell, Augusta; her mother, Louise Poole, Augusta; one brother, John Lamar Howell Jr., McBean, GA.; two sisters, Brenda Burr, Trenton, S.C., and Linda Fuechsel, Augusta; and six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Pallbearers will be Richard L. Fuechsel Jr., Edward Burr, Michael Burr, Phillip Howell, Jesse R. Lackes, Mark Frazier, Stephen Burr, Brian Burr, John L. Howell III and Christopher Lackes.

Friends may call at the residence.

Mr. Willie Garrett

Surveyor

Mr. Willie Will Garrett, 74, of 601 Macon Ave., died Thursday, March 19, 1998, at Salem Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

The funeral will be at noon Tuesday at Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church with the Rev. Larry Hudson Sr. officiating. Burial will be in Southview Cemetery.

Mr. Garrett, a native of Grovetown, was a surveyor. He was an Army veteran of World War II and the Korean War, had retired after 29 years of service, and was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was a member of Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church.

Survivors include his wife, Marie Mavin Garrett; two daughters, Tammie A. Garrett and Tanya W. Garrett; and a brother, Julius Garrett.

Pallbearers will be members of a military honor guard.

Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Nobelites Social Club.

Friends may call at the residence or at Dent's Undertaking Establishment.

Mr. Otis Hannah Sr.

Retired construction worker

BLYTHE -- Mr. Otis ``Big Dank'' Hannah Sr., 58, of 110 Old Augusta Road, Private Exit, died Wednesday, March 18, 1998, at Columbia Augusta Medical Center, Augusta.

The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Monday at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Charles Lacey officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mr. Hannah, a native of Jefferson County, had retired as a construction worker. He was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Bulah Hannah; three sons, Otis Hannah Jr., Blythe, Thomas Hannah, Augusta, and Lonnie Cunningham, Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; three daughters, Loretta Winfrey and Sandra Hannah, both of Keysville, and Pamela Hannah, Hephzibah; his mother, Mattie Hannah, Wrens; two brothers, Marshall Hannah, Wrens, and Cephus Hannah, Alabama; five sisters, Dianne Hannah, Margaret Nelson, Juanita Hannah and Bobbie Farmer, all of Wrens, and Shirley Bell, Beverly, N.J.; and 22 grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Willie Bryant, Wilbur Fuller, Wallace Nelson, Eric Hannah, Robert Farmer, Clarence Hannah, Steve Farmer and David Hannah.

Friends may call at the residence or at Burnett Funeral Home, Wrens.

Mrs. Etta Logue

Retired schoolteacher

EDGEFIELD, S.C. -- Mrs. Etta Lawson Logue, 72, of 12 Harling Road, died Saturday, March 21, 1998, at her residence.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Little Stevens Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Mike Hatfield officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Logue, a native of Pineville, Ky., had retired as a teacher in Kentucky and South Carolina schools. She was a member and Sunday school teacher at Little Stevens Creek Baptist Church, where she was a member of the Women's Missionary Union. She was a past president of the Edgefield Baptist Association.

Survivors include her husband, J. Wallace Logue; a son, Kenneth Logue, Idaho Falls, Idaho; three daughters, Sharon Whittle, Edgefield, Delores Weaver, Montreal, and Carolyn Logue, Rock Hill; and nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Billy Logue, John Frank Logue, Jimmy Logue, William Bryan, Dwight Bledsoe and Tony Isbell.

Friends may call at the residence.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Edgefield Mercantile Funeral Home.

Mrs. Avis Long

Homemaker

Mrs. Avis Mitchum Long, 77, of 2005 Brighton Circle, died Friday, March 20, 1998, at Columbia Augusta Medical Center.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Platt's Funeral Home, Crawford Avenue. Burial will be in Sunset Memory Gardens, Langley.

Mrs. Long, a native of Randolph County, Ala., was a homemaker and a member of Cokesbury United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Robert J. Long; a son, Frank Cranford, Hapesville, Ga.; a daughter, Harriett A. Moran, Fairfax, Va.; and seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Christopher Mason

Textile worker

JOHNSTON, S.C. -- Mr. Christopher M. Mason, 28, of 1593 South Carolina Highway 191, died Thursday, March 19, 1998, in Saluda County.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Old Macedonia Baptist Church, North Augusta, with the Rev. Limeur Myers officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mr. Mason, a native of Hollis, N.Y., was a textile worker and a member of Old Macedonia Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Daphne Wilson Mason; a son, Quincy C. Mason, Johnston; two daughters, Krystal Monet Mason and Karra Moesha Mason, both of Johnston; his parents, David Mason Sr. and Myrtis Perry Mason, both of Johnston; a brother, David Mason Jr., Duluth, Minn.; and a sister, Phoebe Mason, Johnston.

Pallbearers will be Charles Hall, Scotty Hall, Greg Park, Allen Oliphant, Stanley Jackson and Bruce Holmes.

Mrs. Patricia Matthews

Mrs. Patricia S. Matthews, 66, of 1074 Woods Edge Drive, died Friday, March 20, 1998, at her residence.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Platt's Funeral Home, Crawford Avenue, with the Rev. Robert G. Matthews Sr. officiating. Burial will be in Atkins-Winter Family Cemetery, Richmond County.

Mrs. Matthews, a native of Augusta, was a lab technician at the Medical College of Georgia.

Survivors include a daughter, Evie Wilk, Belvedere; a brother, Edward Schwall Jr., Augusta; and one grandchild.

Pallbearers will be Paul Wilk, James McPherson, Oliver Brown, Ronald Strom, W.K. Skinner Sr. and Wayne Roberts.

Mr. Robert Quarles

DuPont retiree

SALUDA, S.C. -- Mr. Robert Clinton Quarles, 68, of Route 3, Fruit Hill Road, died Saturday, March 21, 1998, at his residence.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Ramey Funeral Home with the Rev. Francis Miller officiating. Burial will be in Rocky Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mr. Quarles, a native of Saluda County, had retired from DuPont at the Savannah River Plant after 37 years of service. He was a member of Rocky Creek Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Lessie Ruth Salter Quarles; a son, Darrell Robert Quarles, Saluda; two daughters, Sherry Coleman, Saluda, and Patricia Morgan, Harvest, Ala.; and seven grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the American Kidney Foundation, 6110 Executive Blvd., Rockville, MD 20852; or to Rocky Creek Baptist Church, 701 N. Jefferson St., Saluda, SC 29138.
