Mr. Gregory Alligood

RENTZ, Ga. -- Mr. Gregory Neil Alligood, 43, died Friday, April 24, 1998, at Fairview Park Hospital.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery with Aaron Johnson and the Rev. W.E. Flanders officiating.

Mr. Alligood, a native of Laurens County, was city manager of Dexter and owner of Alligood Pump Service.

Survivors include his wife, Janice B. Alligood; two sons, Chan Alligood and Dustin Alligood, both of Rentz; one brother, Royce Alligood, Dexter; two sisters, Rita Smith and Shirley W. Warren, both of Dexter; and one grandchild.

Pallbearers will be Ricky Maddos, Brian Alligood, Chuck Brown, Toby Alligood, Joel Warren and Jeff Smith.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Richard and Joyce Stanley Funeral Home, Dublin.

Mr. Leroy Blocker

Retiree

JOHNSTON, S.C. -- Mr. Leroy Blocker, 74, of 301 Bland St., died Wednesday, April 22, 1998, at Emory University Hospital, Atlanta.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Rosa Spring Baptist Church with the Rev. Winston Oliphant officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Gardens Memorial Park.

Mr. Blocker, a native of Edgefield County, was retired and was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was a member of Rosa Spring Baptist Church, where he served as a trustee.

Survivors include one son, Levoid A. Blocker, Johnston; two daughters, JoAnn Blocker, Johnston, and Eleanor L. Bolden, Greenwood; two brothers, Johnny Blocker Sr. and Avery Blocker Jr., both of Waterbury, Conn.; and two grandchildren.

Amos and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Grady Burris

Retired restaurant owner

Mr. Grady Lee Burris, 86, of 2725 Edwards Drive, died Friday, April 24, 1998, at St. Joseph Hospital.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in Hillcrest Memorial Park with the Revs. Cecil Myrick and Charles Koons officiating.

Mr. Burris, a native of Stanley County, N.C., was retired as owner of Red Pig BBQ. He served in the Army and was a member of Love Grove Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Eva M. Burris; three daughters, Joyce Simmons, Anniston, Ala., Iris Ferguson, Grenada, Miss., and Debbie Kyzer, Augusta; and nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Donald Simmons, Keith Simmons, Lee Ferguson, Travis Ferguson, Brian Kyzer, Sam Kyzer and Dean Ferguson.

Memorials may be made to St. Joseph Hospice, 2260 Wrightsboro Road, Augusta, GA 30904.

Friends may call today at the residence.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Elliott Sons Funeral Home, Lumpkin Road.

Mrs. Shirley Dimenna

ASHEVILLE, N.C. -- Mrs. Shirley Eileen Dimenna, 72, of Larkspur Court, died Monday, April 20, 1998.

The funeral was Thursday at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church with the Rev. Andy Latsko officiating. Burial was in Mountain View Memorial Park.

Mrs. Dimenna, a native of Chicago, was a member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church and the St. Margaret Mary Altar Guild.

Survivors include her husband, Ralph Dimenna; three sons, Richard A. Dimenna, Evans, Michael Dimenna, Black Mountain, and Grey J. Dimenna, Lambertville, N.J.; two daughters, Florie S. Dimenna, Houston, and Cathy D. Way, Lancaster, Pa.; one brother, Bernard Weitzman, Chicago; and six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the Holy Angels, P.O. Box 710, Belmont, NC 28012.

Mrs. Sybil Guillebeau

Mrs. Sybil Ivey Guillebeau, 74, of 1948 Kissingbower Road, died April 24, 1998, at her residence.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Hillcrest Memorial Park with the Rev. Colin Dacus officiating.

Mrs. Guillebeau, a native of Augusta, was a homemaker and a Methodist.

Survivors include her husband, Edwin Frank Guillebeau; one son, Thomas Edwin Guillebeau, Martinez; and one daughter, Tina Marie Smith, Madison, Wis.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Poteet Funeral Home, Greene Street.

Mr. Archie Harville Jr.

Retired security officer

DUBLIN, Ga. -- Mr. Archie Paul Harville Jr., 57, died Thursday, April 23, 1998, at his residence.

The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Jefferson Street Baptist Church with the Revs. Fred O. Pitts Jr. and Billy DeMersseman officiating. Burial will be in Northview Cemetery.

Mr. Harville, a native of Laurens County, was a retired security officer with the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center. He was a member of Buckhorn Methodist Church, the Masons, and the Eastern Star. He served in the Marine Corps and the Army.

Survivors include his wife, Jettys Harville; one son, Jerald Harville, Jasper, Ind.; two stepsons, Al Lewis and Ricky Lewis, both of Dublin; one daughter, Paula Loveall, Jasper; two stepdaughters, Shelia Sirmons, Dudley, and Vicky Lewis, Dublin; his mother, Virginia Harville, Dublin; and five grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Thurston Branch, Bill Perry, Jim Ayres, Glenn Christian, Johnny Hall and Sonny Hall.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Richard and Joyce Stanley Funeral Home, Dublin.

Heyward Hayes

GRANITEVILLE -- Heyward Gene Hayes, of 231 Whaley Pond Road, died Thursday, April 23, 1998, at Aiken Regional Medical Centers.

Graveside services will be at 4 p.m. Monday in Langley Cemetery, Langley, with the Rev. Frank Barker officiating.

Heyward was a native of Aiken.

Survivors include his father, Jerry Hayes Jr., Graniteville; his mother, Brandy Moyer, Graniteville; one brother, Patrick Blake Hayes, Graniteville; one sister, Windy Kaley Moyer, Graniteville; his paternal grandfather, Jerry Hayes, Windsor; his paternal grandmother, Gloria Davenport Hayes, Langley; his maternal grandmother, Betty Moyer Eubanks, Warrenville; and his paternal great-grandmother, Sylvia Hayes, Dillon, Ga.

Pallbearers will be Steve Hayes, Teddy Henson and Gene Moyer.

Friends may call at the residence of Betty Moyer Eubanks, 25 Weeping Willow Lane, the residence of Gloria Hayes, 209 Pelzer St. or from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Hatcher Funeral Home.

Ms. Nancy Holman

BARNWELL, S.C. -- Ms. Nancy Pittman Holman, 70, died Thursday, April 23, 1998.

Graveside services will be at 4 p.m. today in Barnwell United Methodist Church Cemetery with the Revs. Robert Clyburn and Posey Belcher officiating.

Ms. Holman, a native of Great Falls, was a homemaker and a member of Barnwell United Methodist Church, where she taught Sunday school, served as a trustee and was a member of the Jennie Bates Hagood Circle and official board. She received a bachelor of science degree from Winthrop College and was a member of the Cherokee Club, Winston Assembly and the Wednesday Bridge Club.

Survivors include one son, Douglas Holman, Litchfield; one daughter, Ellen Holman, Barnwell; one sister, Ruth W. Pittman, Great Falls; and one grandchild.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, South Carolina Division, 128 Stonemark Lane, Columbia, SC 29210.

Mrs. Eva P. Holmes, 95, of 1952 Williams Drive, died Friday, April 24, 1998, at Keysville Nursing Home, Keysville.

Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday in Hillcrest Memorial Park with the Rev. Marion Jay officiating.

Mrs. Holmes, a native of Kite, was a homemaker and a Baptist.

Survivors include two sons, Richard Holmes and Eddie James Holmes, both of Augusta; three daughters, Virginia Tanner and Ruby Sparks, both of Augusta, and Lucille Reeves, Grovetown; and 19 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Elliott Sons Funeral Home, Lumpkin Road.

Mr. Lewis Kinard

ESTILL, S.C. -- Mr. Lewis ``Luke'' Kinard, 29, died Friday, April 24, 1998, in Scotia.

The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Fairfax First Baptist Church, Fairfax, with the Rev. Phillip Latta officiating. Burial will be in Fairfax Cemetery.

Mr. Kinard, a native of Allendale, was a grocery store manager and a member of Fairfax First Baptist Church, Crocketville Masonic Lodge, where he had been Master of the Lodge. He was a graduate of Orangeburg Calhoun Tech School.

Survivors include his wife, Nancy Miller Kinard; his mother, Selena Smith Tomlin; his stepfather, Billy E. Tomlin; two sisters, Tracy K. Tuten and Shaneki Ann Tomlin; and one stepsister, Mannie T. Rochette.

Friends may call at 6 p.m. today and until 2 p.m. Sunday at Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home, Hampton.
