McCORMICK, S.C. -- Mrs. Kate Britt Brown, 90, died Wednesday, May 6, 1998, at Greenwood Self Hospital.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in McCormick City Cemetery with Dr. Ted Morton and the Rev. Leon Wagon officiating.

Mrs. Brown, a native of Old Abbeville County, had retired as an attendance teacher with McCormick schools and was a member of McCormick United Methodist Church. She was a member of McCormick Garden Club and a graduate of Greenville Woman's College.

Survivors include one brother, T.Leonard Britt, Greenwood; and one sister, T.S. ``Alice'' Carpenter, Greenville.

Pallbearers will be her great nephews.

Memorials may be made to McCormick Methodist Church or Buffalo Baptist Church.

Friends may call at Strom Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 1:45 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Mr. Floyd Brown

WAYNESBORO, Ga. -- Mr. Floyd Brown, 73, of 102 Ashton Village, died Sunday, May 3, 1998, at Burke County Hospital.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Phinazee and Son Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerry Smith officiating. Burial will be in Ivory Place Cemetery, Vidette.

Mr. Brown was a native of Burke County.

Survivors include three sons, Willie Brown and Phinazee Brown, both of Boston, and Floyd Brown Jr., Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; one daughter, Mary Daughtry, Waynesboro; and 15 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be his sons and grandsons.

Friends may call at the residence or Phinazee and Son Funeral Home.

Mrs. Willie Brown

HARLEM -- Mrs. Willie Pearl Brown, of 1060 Tolbert Drive, died Tuesday, May 5, 1998, at McDuffie County Hospital.

The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at New Holt Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Melvin Adams Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Second Mount Moriah Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Brown, a native of Columbia County, had retired as a homemaker and was a member of New Holt Missionary Baptist Church.

The family said she always spoke her mind and willingly helped others.

Survivors include one daughter, Mamie Beard, Erie, Pa.; and two grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren.

Friends may call at the residence or 112 E. Milledgeville Court.

The family will receive friends at noon at Moores Funeral Home.

Mr. Clarence Burno Jr.

AIKEN -- Mr. Clarence ``C'' Burno Jr., 46, of 411 McCormick St. N.W., died Monday, May 4, 1998, at his residence.

Mr. Burno, a native of Aiken, was a member of Ocean Grove Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Levoria Ann Burno; one son, Bernard Green, Fort Campbell, Ky.; his mother, Earlean Burno, Aiken; and his maternal grandmother, Bertha Jones, Washington.

Mr. Lynn Carter

Mr. Lynn Murray Carter, 50, of 6040 Washington Road, Appling, died Tuesday, May 5, 1998, at his residence.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Johns Episcopal Church with the Rev. Monty Glover officiating.

Mr. Carter, a native of Augusta, was an electrician and a member of St. Johns Episcopal Church. He was Navy veteran of the Vietnam War.

Survivors include two brothers, William M. Carter and David R. Carter.

Mrs. Cole, a native of Ridge Spring, S.C., was a homemaker.

Survivors include her husband, Albert Leroy Cole; one son, Bob Cockrell, Augusta; one sister, Juanita Miller, Augusta; and five grandchildren.

Mr. Arthur Crew Sr.

POMPANO BEACH, Fla. -- Mr. Arthur Crew Sr., 59, died Friday, May 1, 1998.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Gibson Grove Baptist Church, Washington, Ga., with the Rev. Roderick Bradford officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mr. Crew was a native of Wilkes County, Ga.

Hulin, Ernestine Perlotte and Margaret Smith, all of Washington, and Marie Lawson, Pompano Beach; and four grandchildren.

Mrs. Curlin, a native of Arkansas, had retired as a nurse with Cleveland Clinic, Cleveland, and was a member of Fairfield Baptist Church.

Survivors include three nephews, Walter S. Brayboy, North Augusta, Eulie Warren Brayboy, Detroit, Ohio, and F. Edward Brayboy, Newport News, Va.; and eight nieces, Alicia B. Brooks, Aiken, Diane Grant-Jenkins and Sadie G. Bing, both of Augusta, Claudia B. Harris, Raleigh, N.C., Ruth Brayboy, Nashville, Tenn., Mary B. Walsh, Bogota, N.J., Mary Lou Dawson, Jacksonville, Fla., and Ernest Ruth Garrett, Savannah.

Mrs. Davis, a native of Greenwood, had retired as a librarian with Barnwell County schools and was an Episcopalian. She received her bachelor's and master's degrees from South Carolina State College.

Survivors include one son, James R. Davis; one daughter, Elaine J. Davis; and four grandchildren.

Mr. Harris, a native of Richmond County, was a factory laborer.

The family said at the close of life, the question will be not how much have you got, but how much have you given; not how much have you won, but how much have you loved and served.

Survivors include his father, Martin Harris; his mother, Bobbie Jean McGee; his stepfather, Johnny L. McGee, Millen; two brothers, Hosley M. Harris and Marquette F.
