Mr. Roy Demmons Jr.

Mr. Roy Demmons Jr., 57, of 1626 1/2 High St., died Sunday, May 10, 1998, at University Hospital.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. today at Beulah Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Sam Davis officiating. Burial will be in Southview Cemetery.

Mr. Demmons, a native of McDuffie County, was retired from Southern Beverage as a supervisor and was a member of Beulah Grove Baptist Church.

Survivors include four sons, Joey Davis, Charles Demmons, Danny Demmons and Kelvin Demmons, all of Augusta; five daughters, Dorothy Ann Demmons, Karole Demmons, Kimberly Paschal and Helen Pinckney, all of Augusta, and Natasha Glover, Tuskegee, Ala.; his father, Roy Demmons Sr., Augusta; one brother, Ricky James Demmons, Augusta; three sisters, Eloise Haynes, Alberta Demmons and Ann Sullivan, all of Augusta; and 11 grandchildren.

Williams Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Ronald Ensley Sr.

Retired insurance salesman

Mr. Ronald L. Ensley Sr., 73, died Tuesday, May 12, 1998, at University Hospital.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. today at Cliffwood Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Charles Rector officiating. Burial will be in Westover Memorial Park.

Mr. Ensley, a native of Andrews, N.C., was a retired insurance salesman and an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of Cliffwood Presbyterian Church, where he was a member of Brunner Sunday School Class and served as church treasurer, elder and deacon.

Survivors include his wife, Betty R. Ensley; two sons, Kendall Ensley, Martinez, and Ronnie Ensley, Blythe; two daughters, Linda Walker, Martinez, and Teresa Palmer, Augusta; three brothers, Austin Ensley and Wilton Ensley, both of Andrews, and Melvin Ensley, Cramertown, N.C.; three sisters, Mildred Wood, Alcoa, Tenn., Doris Grogen, Canton, N.C., and Nova West, Andrews; and eight grandchildren.

Honorary pallbearers will be elders and deacons of Cliffwood Presbyterian Church.

Memorials may be made to Cliffwood Presbyterian Church, 2525 Lumpkin Road, Augusta, GA 30906.

Elliott Sons Funeral Home, Lumpkin Road, is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Mary Garvin

Mrs. Mary Vincent Garvin, of 515 Hillwood Circle, died Wednesday, May 13, 1998, at Dwight D. Eisenhower Army Medical Center.

Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Cedar Grove Cemetery with the Rev. Otis Moss III officiating.

Mrs. Garvin, a native of Augusta, was a retired hygienist and a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Percell O. Garvin; one brother, Robert W. Vincent, Irving, N.J.; and one adopted brother, Robert Gordon, Augusta.

Honorary pallbearers will be deacons and members of the missionary society at Tabernacle Baptist Church and members of the Lucy C. Laney High School Class of 1958.

Memorials may be made to Tabernacle Baptist Church Building Fund.

Mr. Edward Harris Sr.

SPARTA, Ga. -- Mr. Edward Wilson Harris Sr., 77, of Route 2, died Sunday, May 10, 1998, at his residence.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m Saturday at New Beulah Baptist Church with the Rev. C.S. Lott officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mr. Harris, a native of Hancock County, was a mechanic and a member of New Beulah Baptist Church and an Army veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Amy Champion; three sons, Edward Harris Jr., Sparta, Tracy Champion, Ellenwood, and Stacy Champion, Milledgeville; one daughter, Lillian Lowe, Atlanta; two brothers, Jack Sterling Harris and Bobby Lee Harris, both of Mount Dora, Fla.; two sisters, Odessa Culver and Agnes Harris, both of Sparta; and five grandchildren.

Mrs. Heath, a native of Warren County, was a homemaker and a member of Shoals Primitive Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Frank L. Heath; one son, Clarence Leon Heath, Warner Robins; four daughters, Annette Parish, Thomson, Patsy Newsome, St. Cloud, Fla., Barbara Harper, Sylvania, and Frankie Castillo, Byron; two sisters, Myrtle Ansley, Warrenton, and Evelyn Moon, Adel; and 14 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Benny Parish, Clee Rayfield, Mike Rayfield, Lynwood Johnson, Donald Brewer and Kenneth Ansley.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at James and Lowe Funeral Home, Warrenton.

AIKEN -- Mr. Otto Murrell Herron, 62, of 2266 Piper Road, died Wednesday, May 13, 1998, at Aiken Regional Medical Centers.

Mr. Herron, a native of Aiken, was a retired supervisor with Aiken Streets and Parks Department. He was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church.

Herron, Aiken, and Otto Murrell Herron Jr., Tennessee; two daughters, Margaret Herron Murphy and Shirley Herron Dullaghan, both of Aiken; three brothers, Wallace F. Herron, Windsor, Paul Herron, Lexington, and Luther Herron, Aiken; five sisters, Reba Cooper and Azilee Baughman, both of Aiken, Mary Gobble, Gilbert, Bobby Raugh, Columbia, and Libby Lee, Windsor; and four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

MARIETTA, Ga. -- Mrs. Sarah McBride Horst, 52, of 5085 Willow Point Parkway, died Wednesday, May 13, 1998, at her residence.

Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday in Rose Dhu Cemetery, Vidette.

Mrs. Horst, a native of Burke County, was director of the North Fulton County Training Center for the Fulton County Heath Department. She was a member of Bethel Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include her husband, James R. Horst; two sons, James Benjamin ``Ben'' Horst and Nathan Taylor ``Nate'' Horst; and one brother, Everett McBride, Vidette.

TENNILLE, Ga. -- Mr. Eddie William London, 54, of 366 Irwin Ave., died Tuesday, May 12, 1998.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, Sandersville. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery, Sandersville.

Mr. London, a native of Washington County, was a heavy equipment operator.

The family said he was affectionately known as ``Blind.''

Mr. Mickens, a native of Bulloch County, was a retired truck driver.
