WAGENER -- Mrs. Cleo Whittle Anderson, 83, of 129 Center St., died Sunday, June 28, 1998, at Mattie C. Hall Health Care Center.

The funeral will be at 5 p.m. Tuesday at Wagener United Methodist Church with the Revs. James Hunnicutt and Thomas Norell officiating. Burial will be in Wagener Cemetery.

Mrs. Anderson, a native of Aiken County, was a former employee of Wagener Manufacturing Co. and the former owner of Anderson's Service Station. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Wagener United Methodist Church.

Survivors include a son, Robert Leo Anderson, Wagener; six daughters, Lucille Anderson and Catherine Mixon, both of Wagener, Sadie Laws, Leesville, Faye Reed, Cleveland, Patricia Parrish, Gastonia, N.C., and Kate Callahan, Aiken; four sisters, Florrie Lindler, Walterboro, Louise Hartley, Swansea, Reba Hartley, Mount Pleasant, and Margaret Fosler, Columbia; and 29 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Blizzard Funeral Home.

Mrs. Patricia Bragg

SYLVANIA, Ga. -- Mrs. Patricia ``Pat'' M. Bragg, 62, died Saturday, June 27, 1998, at Medical College of Georgia Hospital, Augusta.

A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Hiltonia United Methodist Church with the Rev. Ralph Dixon Jr. officiating.

Mrs. Bragg, a native of Carmichaels, Pa., was a homemaker and a member of Hiltonia United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Henry Alvin Bragg; two sons, Thomas K. Bragg, Sylvania, and Michael K. Bragg, Covington; two daughters, Susan Bragg, Swainsboro, and Carrie B. Gay, Sylvania; two brothers, Ralph M. Mapel Jr., Coraopolis, Pa., and Robert N. Mapel, Clinton, Pa.; a sister, Judy M. Cummings, Tampa, Fla.; and 12 grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Thompson-Strickland-Waters Funeral Home.

Mrs. Margie Brown

Mrs. Margie Higgins Brown, 73, of Fernwood Drive, died Saturday, June 27, 1998, at Beverly Manor Convalescent Center.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Starling-Hatcher Funeral Home with the Rev. George A. Holcombe Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memory Gardens, Graniteville.

Mrs. Brown, a native of Tyron, S.C., had lived in Augusta most of her life. She had retired from King Mill after 21 years of service. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church where she was a member of the Ladies' Sunday School Class.

Survivors include a son, Alvin Brown, Martinez; a daughter, Rachel Thorne, Bellington, W.Va.; two sisters, Ruby King, Lakeland, Fla., and Maggie Branch, Lincolnton, N.C.; and six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Alvin Brown Jr., Elijah Wright, Michael Stevens, Jim Brown, Marshall McClellan, Bob Farthing and Esteban Armendariz.

Friends may call at the residence of Alvin Brown, 4085 Briarwood Drive, Martinez.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. William Cadle

Business owner

Announcement dated June 29, 1998

SWAINSBORO, Ga. -- Mr. William Eden Cadle, 82, died Saturday, June 27, 1998, at Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Augusta.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Swainsboro City Cemetery with the Rev. Ray Jenkins officiating.

Mr. Cadle, a native of Swainsboro, owned Cadle's Feed and Seed from 1946 to 1957 and owned Cadle's Amoco Service Station from 1959 to 1968. He had been a bookkeeper for Flander's Tire Co., and he was a Swainsboro volunteer fireman. He was a member of the Boy Scouts of America, the Grand Lodge of Georgia Free and Accepted Masons, Swainsboro Lodge 244, the Shriners and the Emanuel County Sportsmen's Club. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and a life member of the Lanier-Moore chapter of Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Survivors include two sons, Farris William Cadle, Savannah, and John Everett Cadle, Cambridge, Mass.

Memorials may be made to the Georgia War Veterans Nursing Home, 1101 15th St., Augusta, GA 30901, or to the American Cancer Society.

Friends may call at the residence.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Tomlinson Funeral Home.

Mr. Ray Canady

Retired farmer

TWIN CITY, Ga. -- Mr. Ray Canady, 87, of 59 Gull Drive, died Sunday, June 28, 1998, at Swainsboro Nursing Home.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Antioch Primitive Baptist Church with the Revs. Louis Pearce, Gene Sego and Cail Pressey officiating.

Mr. Canady, a native of Appling County, had retired as a farmer, and he was a member of the Emanuel County Farm Bureau and the Durdenville Hunting Club. He was a member of Hawhammock Baptist Church.

Survivors include a son, James Ray Canady; three daughters, Minnie Lou McBride, Tampa, Fla., Rhae Joan Davis, Webster, Texas, and Vivian York, Raleigh, N.C.; two sisters, Alva Lois Cannady, Americus, and Maude Scarboro, Boynton Beach, Fla.; and nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be grandsons, Kenneth D. McBride, Donald R. Davis, Michael A. Davis, Randolph H. York, David York and James R. Canady II.

Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Durdenville Hunting Club.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. today at Peebles-Curry-Durden Mortuary, Swainsboro.

Dr. Walter Homeyer

Anesthesiologist

MACON, Ga. -- Dr. Walter F. Homeyer, of 1654 Twin Pines Drive, died Sunday, June 28, 1998, at his residence.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with the Rev. John Cuddy officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.

Dr. Homeyer was a 1943 graduate of Emory University, a 1948 graduate of the Medical College of Georgia and attended the University of Georgia. He was an anesthesia resident at Charity Hospital, New Orleans, and was certified as an anesthesiologist in 1955. He was a member and 1960 president of the Georgia Society of Anesthesiologists.

He was an Air Force veteran of the Korean conflict. He was a horticulturist specializing in hybrid camellias, and named and registered more than 50 varieties of camellia.

Survivors include his wife, Eleanor ``Gee'' Homeyer; two sons, Andy Homeyer, Kelowna, British Columbia, and Chris Homeyer, Bloomsburg, Pa.; two daughters, Leah Motes and Frances Homeyer, both of Augusta; and six grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the American Camellia Society, Fort Valley, Ga.

Friends may call at the residence.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Hart's Mortuary.

Mr. Charles Jones

Former Thermal Ceramics employee

Mr. Charles ToDara Jones, of 2410 Lisbon Road, died Friday, June 26, 1998, at Medical College of Georgia Hospital.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Ross Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Gordon Thomas officiating. Burial will be in Mount Olive Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Jones, a native of Richmond County, was a former employee of Thermal Ceramics.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Jones; two sons, Mario Jones and Tedis Jones, both of Augusta; a daughter, Aisha Jones, Augusta; a stepson, Carlos Jones, Augusta; a stepdaughter, Tiffany Jones, Augusta; his mother, Lillie Patterson, Augusta; three brothers, Armon Jones, Floyd Patterson I and Richard Patterson; a sister, Lillie Brown, Augusta; and three grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be cousins.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Johnson Funeral Home, Swainsboro, with the Rev. Ronny Collins officiating. Burial will be in Stillmore City Cemetery.

Mrs. Mary Keller

Mrs. Mary Leona Keller, 72, died Saturday, June 27, 1998.

Funeral services will be at Crown Hill Cemetery, Denver, at a later time.

Mrs. Keller, a native of Panhandle, Texas, was a homemaker and a Baptist.

Her husband said,``I thank God for all of these precious years with you, my darling wife Mary.''

Survivors include her husband, Warren Edmund Keller; a brother, Dan George Opie, Denver; and a sister, Florence Christeen Rose, Denver.

The family will receive friends from 9 a.m. to noon today at Thomas L. King Funeral Home, Martinez.

Crown Hill Mortuary, Denver, is in charge of arrangements.

AIKEN -- Mrs. Linda H. Luther, 54, of 1810 Pine Log Road, died Sunday, June 28, 1998, at Aiken Regional Medical Centers.

The funeral will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday at South Aiken Church of God with the Revs. Bruce C. Fox, Richard Swift and Travis Holmes officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memory Gardens, Graniteville.

Mrs. Luther, a native of Cadis, Ky., was a rural mail carrier for the United States Postal Service. She was a member of Howlandville Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Archie Lloyd Luther; a son, Archie Evan Luther, Aiken; two daughters, Holly S. Luther and Dana L. Derrick, both of Aiken; two sisters, Barbara Bradley, Owensboro, Ky., and Judy H. Poindexter, Herndon, Ky.; and five grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be James Sizemore, Don Rawles, Mike Cook, Heyward Berry, Gary Yount and Albert Dawson.

Honorary pallbearers will be employees of the U.S. Postal Service.

Memorials may be made to the Aiken Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, Wire Road, Aiken, SC 29801.
