SPARTA, Ga. -- Mrs. Lucille J. Morgan, 90, of 501 Hancock St., died Saturday, June 27, 1998, at Hancock County Memorial Hospital.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Pierce Memorial Methodist Church with the Revs. Stiles Cobb and John S. Shutzaberger officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Morgan, a native of Hancock County, was a homemaker and a member of Mount Hope Methodist Church.

Survivors include a son, Burnard Watkins, Forest Park; a sister, Frances Johnson, Sparta; and four grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be David Brown, Clifford Brown, Albert Rachels, Franklin Hyman, Russell Poss, Billy Poss and Jimmy Wilson.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Patterson Funeral Home.

WASHINGTON, Ga. -- Mr. Thomas Orr Scott, 84, of 206 S. Pecan St., died Saturday, June 27, 1998, at University Hospital.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. today at Hopkins Funeral Home with the Rev. Wayne Gahnn officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Methodist Church Cemetery, Elberton.

Mr. Scott, a native of Elbert County, had lived in Washington for seven years. He had retired from Ronthor Co., and he was a member of Woodlawn Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Grace D. Scott; three sons, Thomas C. Scott Jr., Canton, Alvin Scott, Washington, and Danny Scott, Social Circle; a daughter, Alice S. Adams, Rutledge; a brother, Joe Scott, Washington; six sisters, Gladys Childs and Ruth Childs, both of Elberton, Edna Hodges, Jefferson City, Tenn., Mattie Callaway, Washington, Rebecca Echols, Tignall, and Mary Jane Pyron, Hampton; and 23 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be grandsons.

WILLISTON, S.C. -- Mrs. Dorathea Rowell Teal, 79, of Beck Road, died Saturday, June 27, 1998, at the Mattie C. Hall Health Care Center, Aiken.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Folk Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Williston Cemetery.

Mrs. Teal, a native of Jasper County, was a homemaker and a graduate of Jones County Community College. She was a member of Winfield Heights Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Riley D. Teal; one son, Randall D. Teal, Williston; a daughter, Sandra T. Christopher, Williston; one brother, Kenneth Rowell, Quitman, Mass.; one sister, Edna R. Perry, Pachuta, Miss.; and three grandchildren.

JOHNSTON, S.C. -- Mrs. Nancy Rhodes Blocker, 52, of Route 2, died Saturday, May 30, 1998, at Medical College of Georgia Hospital, Augusta.

The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at New and Living Way Apostolic Church, Trenton, with William Cue officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Blocker, a native of Oberlin, Ohio, was a receiving clerk at Bi-Lo Grocery Store, Batesburg. She was a member of New and Living Way Apostolic Church.

Survivors include her husband, John H. Blocker, Saluda; a son, John M. Blocker, Saluda; a daughter, Jocelyn Blocker, Saluda; a stepson, Wesley Blocker, Mount Vernon, N.Y.; four stepdaughters, Sylvia Beryoses, Chicago, Lynette Howlett, Lynwood, Calif., Sandra Blocker, Compton, Calif., and Marion McNulty, Omaha, Neb.; a brother, Mark Rhodes, Oberlin, Ohio; three sisters, Katherine Allen, Lehigh Acres, Fla., Marlene Cannon, Houston, and Jerry Rhodes, Oberlin; and nine step-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be church members.

Mrs. Lois Boatwright

AIKEN -- Mrs. Lois A. Boatwright, 75, of 170 Wheat Road, died Sunday, May 31, 1998, at Aiken Regional Medical Centers.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at George Funeral Home, Park Avenue, with the Revs. Fred W. Andrea III and Mark S. Watford officiating. Burial will be in Aiken Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Boatwright, a native of Aiken County, had retired from B and B Glass and Paint. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Aiken.

Survivors include her husband, Lacey Boatwright; three sons, Bruce Boatwright and Wallace Boatwright, both of Aiken, and Rodney Boatwright, Ridge Spring, S.C.; a brother, Dewey Plunkett, Aiken; and seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Rodney Boatwright Jr., Jeff Boatwright, Robert Boatwright, Stephen Boatwright, Robert D. Plunkett Jr. and Mark Plunkett.

Mrs. Eola Brown

WRENS, Ga. -- Mrs. Eola K. Brown, 83, of 303 W. Walker St., died Friday, May 29, 1998, at her residence.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Wrens Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church with the Rev. Ella Mae Smiley officiating. Burial will be in Sugar Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Brown, a native of Jefferson County, was a member of Order of the Eastern Star Chapter No. 337, where she received a gold star for 35 years of service. She was a member of Wrens Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church, where she was president of the stewardess board, first vice president of the Women's Missionary Society, sang in the Missionary Choir, and was a member of the Organized Lay Organization, Sunday School Adult Class and Bible study.

Survivors include a daughter, Mary Ella Brown, Wrens.

Pallbearers will be members of Gibralter Lodge No. 265.

Honorary pallbearers will be stewards and trustees of the church.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today at Freeman Funeral Home.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. today at Green Fork Baptist Church, Millen, with the Revs. Scott Bailey and Roland Dunn officiating. Burial will be in Green Fork Cemetery, Millen.

Mrs. Chance, a native of Bleckley County, was a homemaker and a member of Green Fork Baptist Church.

Survivors include three sons, Fred L. Chance, Perkins, Gerald Chance, Millen, and Rodney Chance, Sylvania; a daughter, Erlene C. Taylor, Perkins; two sisters, Ella Strickland, Thomson, and Eula Abbott, Winder; and eight grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers and honorary pallbearers will be deacons of Green Fork Baptist Church.

CRAWFORD, Ga. -- Mr. Curtis Edmond ``Papa Curtis'' Coile, 68, died Saturday, May 30, 1998.

The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Lord and Stephens Funeral Home, Athens, with the Revs. Harry Warren, Herman Purcell, Dayton Logan and Mark Fite officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Park, Athens.

Mr. Coile, a native of Oglethorpe County, owned and operated Coile's Food Market for 18 years. He served on the board of directors of Commercial Bank and was a member of Lexington Masonic Lodge No. 158. He was a member and deacon of Lexington Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Rachel K. Coile; a son, Rick Coile, Nicholson; a daughter, Deborah Coile Weir, Augusta; his mother, Thelma Hall Coile, Crawford; a brother, James H. Coile, Crawford; three sisters, Nell Walls, Augusta, Margaret Paradise, Crawford, and Gloria Peterman, Stephens; and four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Boswell, Jere Dillinger, Travis Gillispie, Ralph Huff, Randy Kittle, Roger Neesmith, Jay Peterman and Mike Tyndell.

Honorary pallbearers will be members of Lexington Masonic Lodge No. 158.

Memorials may be made to Lexington Baptist Church Building Fund.
