WAYNESBORO, Ga. -- Miss Elsie Fulcher, 88, of 3168 Herndon Road, died Sunday, June 7, 1998, at her residence.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. today at Magnolia Cemetery with the Rev. Harold Rowland officiating.

Miss Fulcher, a native of Burke County, had retired as a registered nurse. She was a former assistant director of nursing and instructor at the University Hospital School of Nursing, Augusta. She was an Army veteran and served as a nurse at the Forest Hills division Veterans Administration Hospital for two years during World War II. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Waynesboro.

Survivors include a nephew, Bobby Fulcher, Waynesboro; a niece, Betty Fulcher Purkey, Waynesboro; and three great-nephews and one great-niece.

Pallbearers will be Reuben Chance IV, Charles Perkins, Bob Bolton, Jimmy Simmons, Brigham Simmons, George DeLoach, Robert Holton and Jack Rogers.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, 246 Davis Road, Augusta, GA 30907.

Friends may call at the residence.

AIKEN -- Mrs. Bonnie Ann Bierman Farricker, 51, of 2352 Beaver Creek Lane, died Sunday, June 7, 1998, at St. Joseph Hospital, Augusta.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church with the Rev. Ed Fitzgerald officiating. Entombment will be in Aiken Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.

Mrs. Farricker, a native of Syracuse, N.Y., had lived in Aiken for two weeks. She was a salesclerk and a member of St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church.

Survivors include her husband, John Thomas Farricker; a son, John Christopher Farricker, Toledo, Ohio; two daughters, Kellie Ann Farricker, Toledo, and Erin Elizabeth Farricker, Aiken; her mother, Barbara B. Bierman, Augusta; a brother, George Barrett, Augusta; and one grandchild.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box K, Aiken, SC 29802.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Shellhouse Funeral Home, with a wake service at 7 p.m.

RICHMOND, Va. -- Mrs. Becky Kalney-Durie, 30, of 4312 A Castle Drive, died Wednesday, June 3, 1998, at Memorial Regional Medical Center, Mechanicsville.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Westover Memorial Park, Augusta, with the Rev. Wofford Caughman officiating.

Mrs. Kalney-Durie, a native of Augusta, had lived in Richmond for five years and was a former Columbia County resident. She was a customer service representative with Trigon Insurance Agency, and she was a Baptist.

Survivors include her husband, Michael W. Durie; a son, Matthew Arron Durie, Richmond; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Paul W. Kalney, Grovetown; a brother, John Paul Kalney, Grovetown; and a sister, Samantha Ann Kalney, Grovetown.

Pallbearers will be John Paul Kalney, Ray Young, John Joe Kalney, Billy Gibson, Billy Hornsby and Edward Pippen.

Mr. Michael Christie

Mr. Michael J. Christie, 69, of 3710 Merion Drive, Martinez, died Saturday, June 6, 1998, at his residence.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Patrick's Church, Bay Shore, N.Y., with Monsignor Fagan officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Bay Shore.

Mr. Christie, a native of the Bronx, N.Y., had retired as a policeman for Suffolk County, N.Y. He was a member of the Police Benevolent Association, the Retired Detectives Association and the Suffolk County Detectives Association. He was a member of Knights of Columbus Daniel A. Tobin Council No. 564 and the Emerald Society. He was a Marine Corps veteran and a member of St. Mary on the Hill Catholic Church.

Survivors include his wife, Linda C. Christie; two sons, Michael Christie, East Islip, N.Y., and Timothy Christie, Bay Shore; four daughters, Linda Tomasino and Mary Ekelund, both of Bay Shore, Theresa Christie, Martinez, and Michelle Christie, Bronxville, N.Y.; two brothers, Thomas Christie and Bernard Christie, both of Bay Shore; two sisters, Theresa Daley, East Patchogue, N.Y., and Mary LaFleur, Jacksonville, Fla.; and 15 grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Timothy Christie, Michael Christie, Patrick Tomasino, Christopher Tomasino, Roy Ekelund and Martin Hadman.

WASHINGTON, Ga. -- Mrs. Nannie Mae Cox Blackmon, 92, of 536 N. Alexander Ave., died Sunday, June 7, 1998, at Hamilton Nursing Home, Columbus.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today at Resthaven Cemetery with the Rev. Grady Mosley officiating.

Mrs. Blackmon, a native of Taliaferro County, had lived in Wilkes County most of her life. She had retired from W.T. Johnson Co. as a bookkeeper. She was a member of Washington First United Methodist Church where she was a member of the Vohammie Pharr Sunday School Class, the Wesleyan Service Guild and the United Methodist Women.

Survivors include a son, William Gene Blackmon, Turbeville, S.C.; a daughter, Mary V. Blackmon, Columbus; and one grandchild and two great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 4 p.m. Wednesday at Langley Church of God, Langley, with the Revs. Larry Sluder and Ronald Black officiating. Burial will be in Black-Sanders Cemetery, Bath.

Mr. Black, a native of Barnwell County, had lived in Burnettown for 46 years. He had retired from Pepsico Inc. after 21 years of service as a Pepsi Cola salesman. He was a member of Langley Church of God, where he was a member of the Men's Bible Class.

Survivors include his wife, Sarah C. Black; three sons, Howard Arden Black Sr., Warrenville, Butch Black, Bath, and Steven R. Black, Grovetown; a daughter, Sharon Illene Epperly, Bath; his mother, Hattie S. Black, Burnettown; three brothers, Vernon Black and Marvin Black, both of Burnettown, and Ralph Black, Gloverville; and eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Pallbearers will be Grady Temple, Billy Ray Kirkland, Ray Black, Richard Feagin, Charles Black and Grady Scott.

Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Men's Bible Class of Langley Church of God.

Mr. Anderson, a native of Louisville, had retired as owner of a roofing company in Augusta. He was a member of First Baptist Church, North Augusta.

Survivors include three daughters, Nancy Holcomb, Cedartown, Sue Chason, Beaufort, S.C., and Judy Stowers, Melbourne, Fla.; a brother, Robert E. Anderson, North Augusta; and six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
