JAMESTOWN, Tenn. -- Mrs. Thelma Grace Brannon, 67, of 523 Burnett St., died Sunday, June 14, 1998, at Fentress County General Hospital.

The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Thomas L. King Funeral Home, Martinez, with Kenneth Galloway officiating. Burial will be in Bellevue Memorial Gardens, Grovetown.

Mrs. Brannon, a native of Muncie, Ind., was an apartment manager.

Survivors include a son, Cecil Brannon, Belvedere; four daughters, Dilrea E. Rhodes, Jamestown, Carolyn Walker, Crossville, Mary Jane Thompson, Augusta, and Kay Espiritu, Grovetown; her mother, Katie G. Stewart, Jamestown; a brother, Clarence Stewart; three sisters, Gladys Bice, Clinton, Georgia Turner, Nashville, and Dilrea Beaty, Crossville; and nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mrs. Virginia Adams

COLUMBIA -- Mrs. Virginia Todd ``Babe'' Adams, 82, of 1109 Sunnepide Drive, died Sunday, June 14, 1998, at her residence.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Covenant Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Lee Ferguson officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park.

Mrs. Adams, a native of Georgetown, was a homemaker. She was a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include a son, Carl W. Adams Jr., Aiken; a daughter, Virginia A. Ricker, Columbia; a sister, Mary Farley Johnsey, Laurens; and three grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Covenant Presbyterian Church.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street.

Mr. Donald Adams

BARTOW, Ga. -- Mr. Donald Emory Adams, 38, of 1351 New Bethel Road, died Monday, June 15, 1998.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at New Bethel Baptist Church, Riddleville, with the Revs. M.D. Cabe and Tommy Barnes officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mr. Adams, a native of Chatham County, was a longtime Washington County resident. He was a laboratory technician at Burgess Pigment Co. and a member of New Bethel Baptist Church.

Survivors include wife, Teresa Beck Adams; two daughters, Sarah Adams and Samantha Adams, both of Bartow; his mother, Sarah F. Frawley, Bartow; two brothers, Thomas ``Tommy'' Adams, Ellabell, and Ralph Frawley, Waverly Hall; and four sisters, Jackie Mitchell, Savannah, Carolyn DeWolfee, Jacksonville, Fla., Brenday Sparks, Bloomingdale, and Carolyn Helms, Costman.

Pallbearers will be Rabun Frost, Ray Clark, Jerry Hutchinson, Calvin Wadley, Lewis Berry, Chris Veal and Tom Adrian.

Memorials may be made to New Bethel Baptist Church.

Friends may call at the residence.

DECATUR, Ga. -- Mrs. Annie Laura Wilson, 86, of 3727 Tarry Town Way, died Saturday, June 13, 1998, at Hancock Memorial Hospital, Sparta.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Union Baptist Church, Mayfield, with the Rev. Augustus Lockhart officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Wilson, a native of Hancock County, was a homemaker and a member of Union Baptist Church.

Survivors include four sons, Melvin Wilson and Jimmy Wilson, both of Atlanta, Grady Wilson, Decatur, and Tommy Wilson, Greensboro; one daughter, Virginia Wiggins, Atlanta; two brothers, Cornell Flournoy and Trial Flournoy, both of Sparta; five sisters, Mina Heath, Roberta Andrews and Cleiland Baker, all of Sparta, and Addie B. Lowe and Susie Andrews, both of Atlanta; and 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at 10:30 a.m. today at Ingram Brothers Funeral Home, Sparta.

Mr. Phil Palmer

LINCOLNTON, Ga. -- Mr. Phillip B. ``Phil'' Palmer, 42, of 3129 Chamberlain's Ferry Road, died Monday, June 15, 1998, at McDuffie County Hospital, Thomson.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. today at Pine Grove United Methodist Church with Rev. Dan Fernandez officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mr. Palmer, a native of Lincoln County, was the owner of Phil Palmer Logging and a member of Pine Grove United Methodist Church where he served as treasurer, was on the Board of Trustees and a member of the Methodist Men's Club.

Survivors include his wife, Brenda Davis Palmer; two daughters, April Marie Landrum and Jamie Lynn Landrum, both of Lincolnton; four brothers, Marvin Palmer, McCormick, S.C., Bruce Palmer, Graniteville, Wade Palmer, Washington, and Cornell Palmer, Lincolnton; and two sisters, Linda Brown, Augusta, and Pamela Higginbotham, Fayetteville, N.C.

Pallbearers will be Billy Mims, George Moon, Darrell Standard, Jimmy Arthur, Van Livingston and Tommy Guillebeau. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Pine Grove United Methodist Men's Club.

Mrs. Truedell Meyer

Mrs. Truedell Meyer, 92, of 1600 Anthony Road, died Tuesday, June 16, 1998, at St. Joseph Hospital.

Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. today at Westover Memorial Park with Rev. P. James Costigan officiating.

Mrs. Meyer was co-owner of Idle Hour Florist, which she started with her husband in 1927. She was retired owner of Merilyn Florist and Gifts and was a member of St. Mary On The Hill Catholic Church.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Merilyn M. Golden, Waynesboro; two grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

Platt's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. George McKenzie

Mr. George E. McKenzie, 63, died Monday, June 15, 1998, at Dwight D. Eisenhower Army Medical Center.

The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at Elliott Sons Funeral Home with Larry Brown and Joel Hawkins officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park.

Mr. McKenzie, a native of Atmore, Ala., was the owner of Jolly's Restaurant and was retired from the Army, where he served as a staff sergeant and was a veteran of the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He had worked as a security guard with Regent Security at the Morris Building and was a member of Augusta Lodge 737 Free and Accepted Masons, Alee Temple and Augusta Shrine Go Cart Unit.

Survivors include his wife, Bobbie Gilbert McKenzie; two sons, Walter ``Butch'' Harvey and Iverson ``Bernie'' Chavous, both of Augusta; two daughters, Vickie Berry, Hephzibah, and Beverly Colson, Augusta; and 15 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Jessie Harrison, Al Edwards, Billy Casey, Gilbert Hammett, Dick Schaper and Ricky Luther.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Brandi Matney

Brandi Lynn Matney, 17, of 4108 Clinton Way East, Martinez, died Monday, June 15, 1998, in Panama City Beach, Fla.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Platt's Funeral Home, North Belair Road, with the Rev. J. Andrew Menger officiating. Burial will be in Westover Memorial Park.

Brandi, a native of Rushville, Ind., was a 1998 graduate of Evans High School, where she was a member of the student council, Students Against Drunk Driving, Kappa Delta Phi and Warren Baptist Church. She had served as president of Distributive Cooperative Training and was named first runner up for Miss Evans High School.

Survivors include her mother, Deborah Matney, Martinez; three sisters, Candace M. Buchanan, Augusta, Amber Matney, Herrin, Ill., and Lee Ann Waybright, Ft. Wayne, Ind.; her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Maple, Martinez, and Patricia Matney, Rushville.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, at Thomas L. King Funeral Home with Larry Brown officiating. Burial will be in the Maddox Family Cemetery, Flowing Wells Road.

Mr. Maddox was a native of Augusta and a member of the Crawford Avenue Baptist Church.

Survivors include a son, Charles T. Maddox, Palmetto; three daughters, Lois Maddox, Grovetown, Charlotte Freeland, Tucker, and Casey H. Flindt, Palmetto; two brothers, Wilbur F. Maddox, Hephzibah, and James C. Maddox, Myrtle Beach, S.C.; two sisters, Hattie Mae Foster, Augusta, and Dorothy E. Stone, Hephzibah; and three grandchildren and one great grandchild.

WADLEY, Ga. -- Mr. Enon Brinson Lamb Jr., 78, of Glendale Nursing Home, died Monday, June 15, 1998, at the residence.

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. today at Lamb's Chapel United Methodist Church with the Revs. Bob Hall and Don Lumpkin officiating.

Mr. Lamb, a native of Bibb County, was a member of Lamb's Chapel United Methodist Church and the Jefferson County Law Enforcement Association.

Survivors include his wife, Frances Brown Lamb; a son, E.B. Lamb, III, Wadley; a daughter, Mary Pat Lamb Cowan, Louisville; and four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
