Mrs. Donna Gay

LINCOLNTON, Ga. -- Mrs. Donna Jo Gay, 39, of 187 Claire Drive, died Monday, June 29, 1998.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in Westover Memorial Park with the Rev. James Rivers officiating.

Mrs. Gay, a native of Atlanta, was a homemaker and a Baptist.

Survivors include her husband, Thomas I. Gay Jr., Aiken; one son, Jacob Lee Gay, Lincolnton; her father, Frank B. Napier, Buford; and three brothers, Fred Napier, Aiken, Victor Napier, Montgomery, Ala., and Tony Napier, Jonesboro.

The family will receive friends today at the cemetery.

Poteet Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Anna Johnson

Mrs. Anna Miriam Johnson, 85, died Monday, June 29, 1998, at her residence.

The funeral will be at noon Thursday at St. Mary On The Hill Catholic Church with the Revs. P. James Costigan and Don McCordle officiating. Burial will be in Oak Dale Cemetery, Urbana, Ohio.

Mrs. Johnson, a native of Columbus, Ohio, was a homemaker and a member of St. Mary On The Hill Catholic Church. She was an associate member of Alleluia Christian Community and was a past regent of the Daughters of Isabella. She was past PTA president of the South Ward Elementary and Urbana High School. She was a member of Sacred Heart League, Ladies Sodality, Champaign County Farm Council, Homemakers Club, Emerald Acres Garden Club, Graham High School Band Boosters and a founding member for the Champaign County, Ohio, Arthritis Foundation.

Survivors include one son, Philip Ralph Johnson, West Liberty, Ohio; two daughters, Shirley A. Wilson, Boerne, Texas, and Barbara L. Harshman, Augusta; one half-sister, Helen Cupps Stenger, Wheeling, W.Va.; and 12 grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and nine step-great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Alleluia Community School, P.O. Box 6805, Augusta, GA 30906.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Poteet Funeral Home West, Wheeler Road.

Mrs. Leila Loflin

Retired civil servant

THOMSON -- Mrs. Leila Knox Loflin, 69, of 621 Hickory Hill Drive, died Monday, June 29, 1998, at Columbia Augusta Medical Center.

The funeral will be at 4 p.m. today at Holy Cross Episcopal Church with the Revs. Susan Panton and Legrand Van Keuren officiating.

Mrs. Loflin, a native of Savannah, was a retired civil servant and a member of Holy Cross Episcopal Church.

Survivors include one son, J. Ross Loflin, Augusta; two daughters, Eleanor A. McMannon, Thomson, and Lee L. Chapman, Macon; her mother, Eleanor M. Garvey, Thomson; and one grandchild.

Mrs. Grace McKinnon

Retired beautician

BEECH ISLAND -- Mrs. Grace McKinnon, 83, of 305 Edisto Ave., died Tuesday, June 30, 1998, at her residence.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Sunset Memory Gardens, Graniteville, with the Rev. Frank Hyder officiating.

Mrs. McKinnon, a native of Dodge County, was a retired beautician and a Baptist.

Survivors include one son, Donald McKinnon, Beech Island; one daughter, Linda Louise McKinnon, Gracewood, Ga.; and six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Rowland Funeral Home.

Mrs. Emma Hicks

AIKEN -- Mrs. Emma G. Hicks, 79, of 1338 Aldrich Street, died Friday, June 26, 1998, at Aiken Regional Medical Centers.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Church of Christ, Williston, with the Revs. Jerry Rosier and Clyde Rouzan officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Hicks, a native of Barnwell, was a homemaker and a member of Hampton Avenue Church of Christ, Aiken.

Survivors include three sons, Hardy Hicks Jr., Columbia, Sammy James Hicks, Trenton, and Wilbert Hicks, Johnston; three daughters, Lena Culthbertson, St. Petersburg, Fla., and Martha Perry and Rosa Hicks, both of Aiken; two brothers, Charles Hankerson, Philadelphia, and Robert Lee Hankerson, Williston; two sisters, Dorothy Adams, Brunson, Fla., and Ruby Whaley, Green Pond; and 15 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be her grandson and Hampton Avenue Church of Christ members.

Friends may call at the residence or at Jackson-Brooks Funeral Home beginning 1 p.m today and beginning at noon Thursday.

Kadarian Jordan

WAYNESBORO, Ga. -- Kadarian Jordan, 5, of 706 A Street, died Sunday, June 28, 1998, at University Hospital.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Givens Grove Baptist Church, Girard, with the Rev. Isiah Kirkland officiating. Burial will be in Pines Cemetery, Waynesboro.

Kadarian, a native of Richmond County, was a student at Burke County Head Start.

The family said Kadarian was a kind, loving and gentle child and will be greatly missed.

Survivors include his father, James Curtis Brown Sr., his mother, Shalanda L. Jordan; three brothers, James C. Brown Jr., Cordarrell A. Brown, and Dakeeton J. Brown, all of Waynesboro; one sister, Macorya Brown, Waynesboro; two grandfathers, Willie Jordan II, Waynesboro, and Willie James Brown, Augusta; and two grandmothers, Vernia M. Givens, and Jacqueline Jordan, both of Waynesboro.

Pallbearers will be Timothy Givens, Mike Jones and Lamont Jordan.

Friends may call at the residence of his great-grandmother, Lizzie J. Irvin, 418 West 8th Street, or at Phinazee and Son Funeral Home.

Mrs. Ruth Baker

BELVEDERE -- Mrs. Ruth Robertson Baker, 73, of 450 Audubon Circle, died Wednesday, July 1, 1998, at her residence.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Rowland Funeral Home, North Augusta, with the Rev. Warren Ashmore officiating. Burial will be in Westview Cemetery, Augusta.

Mrs. Baker, a native of Augusta, was a retired cashier with Georgia Power Company. She attended Belvedere United Methodist Church, where she was a member of United Methodist Women. She was also a member of the Ambassador's Club of Georgia Power.

Survivors include one stepson, W. Ralph Baker Jr., Martinez; one stepdaughter, Beverly Griffith, Swainsboro, Ga.; and six step-grandchildren and one great-stepgrandchild.

Pallbearers will be George ``Bud'' Breden, Alfred M. Prescott, Benton Bryant, T.N. ``Tony'' Brown, W.R. ``Ralph'' Baker Jr., and Patrick A. Breden.

Memorials may be made to Belvedere United Methodist Church Sound System Fund, 202 Rhomboid Place, Belvedere, SC 29841.

Mr. Thomas Johnson Jr.

Mr. Thomas Johnson Jr., of 1452 Kingston St., died Monday, June 29, 1998 at his residence.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Dent's Funeral Home with the Rev. Willie C. Norwood officiating. Burial will be in Second Mount Carmel Baptist Church cemetery, Appling.

Mr. Johnson, a native of Augusta, was a security guard with Sizemore Security and was an Air Force veteran.

Survivors include two sons, Thomas Johnson III, Marcus Johnson; three daughters, ShaJra J. Mitchell, Stephanie R. Johnson, and Tammie Johnson; his mother, Jessie Burns Johnson; and one sister, Geneva J. Pollard.

Pallbearers will be Alonza Garnett, Joseph Burns, Napoleon Pollard, Cordell Waltower, Isaiah Waltower and Elvin Burns.

Friends may call at his mother's residence, 2260 Darlington Drive, or at the funeral home.

Mr. Earle Judson Sr.

RIDGELAND, S.C. -- Mr. Earle L. Judson Sr., died Tuesday, June 16, 1998.

Mr. McKie, a native of McCormick County, was a retired truck driver and a member of Jerusalem Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Sadie Gardner McKie; one daughter, Annie B. McKie, New York; one brother, Louis McKie, Augusta; two sisters, Susie Louise, Augusta, and Christine Topea, California.

Pallbearers will be Carl Jones, Marvin Jones, Russell Byard, Curtis Jones, Jerry Byard and Eddie McKie.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m today at Williams Funeral Home.

Mr. Bennie Parker

Mr. Parker, a native of Glascock County, was a member of William Grove Baptist Church.
