Cora B. Shoultz

Cora Bell Shoultz, 77, died June 13 at Westview Nursing Home.

She was a native of Reynolds and a domestic. She was a member of Gospel Upon the Rock Holiness Church and was the church mother and a member of the Board of Directors.

SURVIVORS: a daughter, Minister Valerie Singleton of Fayetteville, N.C.; four sons, Deacon Ronald Shoultz of Virginia Beach, Va., Elder Larry Shoultz of Macon, the Rev. George Shoultz of Milan and Pastor Barry Shoultz of Savannah; two sisters, Alma Evans of Reynolds, and Edna Jones of Trenton, N.J.; three brothers, Deacon Bill Ross and the Rev. L.B. Ross, both of Reynolds, and Swillie Ross of Trenton; and 19 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Chandler E. Lamb

KITE - Chandler E. Lamb, 76, died June 14 at Emanuel Medical Center.

He was a native of Emanuel County, a Navy veteran of World War II and a retired farmer. He was a member of Williams Chapel Church.

SURVIVORS: his wife, Margurite Graham Lamb of Kite; a daughter, Carol Holt of Charleston; two sons, Graham and Joey Lamb, both of Kite; two sisters, Annie M. Hall and Dollie Tyson, both of Fellsmere, Fla.; and nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

VISITATION: 6-9 p.m. today at Peebles-Curry-Durden Mortuary, Swainsboro.

FUNERAL: 11 a.m. Tuesday at Williams Chapel Church near Kite, burial in Moxley Cemetery.

Ralph Tenenbaum

Ralph Tenenbaum, 87, a Savannah businessman, leader in the Jewish community and philanthropist, died June 14 at home.

He was a native of Poland, emigrated with his siblings to the United States in 1921 and lived in Savannah most of his life. He was an active member of Agudath Achim Synagogue, serving as a vice president of the congregation.

He worked for more than 50 years with the Agudath Achim Chevrah Kadishah, the Synagogue Burial Society. He was president of the Chevrah Kadishah for 25 years and served as president emeritus the past two years.

He served as a co-chair of the United Jewish Appeal and as chairman of the Israeli Bond Drive. He was the president of the former Chatham Pipe and Supply Co. and served as the current chairman of the board of Chatham Steel Corp. He was one of the founders of Chatham Steel.

He was a member of Alee Temple as well as a 50-year member of the Masons. He served on the board of the Savannah Water Commission. He helped to feed the hungry and shelter the homeless.

SURVIVORS: his wife of 62 years, Pauline Waldman Tenenbaum of Savannah; his children, Barbara T. and Mark Hacken of Telluride, Colo., Marsha T. and Andre Kessler of Marietta, Sheldon and Zelda Tenenbaum and Bert and Nancy Tenenbaum, all of Savannah; and eight grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

The family will sit Shivah at the residence.

FUNERAL: 2 p.m. today at Tenenbaum Sanctuary of Agudath Achim Synagogue, burial in Bonaventure Cemetery.

Lloyd N. Meyers

JESUP - Lloyd Nelson Meyers, 78, died June 13 at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Jesup.

He was a native of Baltimore and lived in Jesup the past 49 years. He was an Army veteran of World War II and a lifetime member of Veterans of Foreign Wars' Leon Parrish Post No. 4583. He was a former employee of Western Auto, a former letter carrier and member of the National Association of Letter Carriers. He retired in 1964 as a letter carrier.

SURVIVORS: his wife, Algene T. Meyers of Jesup; three daughters, Diane Masten of Brazoria, Texas, Karen Woodward of Ocean Springs, Miss., and Terri Bell of Jesup; a son, Lloyd N. Meyers Jr. of Jacksonville, Fla.; a brother, William Meyers of Reisterstown, Md.; and six grandchildren.

VISITATION: 6-9 p.m. today at Gordon-Harrison Funeral Home, Jesup.

FUNERAL: 2 p.m. Tuesday at Gordon-Harrison Funeral Home, burial in Pinecrest Memorial Cemetery with full military rites.

Maude C. Cook

EARLY BRANCH, S.C. - Maude Crews Cook, 79, died June 13 at Beaufort Memorial Hospital.

She was a native of the Fechtig community of Hampton County, a homemaker and a member of Deep Branch Baptist Church. She was the widow of Benjamin C. Cook Sr.

SURVIVORS: two sons, Benjamin C. Crews Jr. of Varnville and Joseph A. Crews of Early Branch; a daughter, Carolyn K. Cook of Early Branch; a sister, Ollie L. Murdaugh of Walterboro; and eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

VISITATION: 6 p.m. today at Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home, Hampton Chapel.

Eddie James "Bugeye" Fennell, 53, died June 13 at Memorial Medical Center.

He was a native of Savannah, a 1962 graduate of Tompkins High School and attended Morris Brown College in Atlanta. He was an employee and member of St. Paul CME Church. He was an Army veteran who served during the Vietnam War era.

SURVIVORS: his wife, Renne Hall Fennell of Savannah; four daughters, Teah L. Jones, Asha T. Gregory and Mallory S. Fennell, all of Savannah, and L. Jamette Fennell of Atlanta; three sons, Brett L. Fennell of Atlanta, Stacy Fennell of Savannah and Kwame Fennell of Augusta; his mother, Theodosia Fennell of Savannah; and several other relatives.

Annies B. Hahn

ST. MARYS - Annies Baxley Hahn, 97, died June 13 at St. Marys Convalescent Center.

She was a native of Florida, a longtime resident of Savannah and a resident of St. Marys the past three years. She was a member of Savannah Christian Church and Daughters of the American Revolution.

SURVIVORS: three sons, Frederick Hahn Jr. of St. Marys, George W. Hahn of Lascassas, Tenn., and John A. Hahn of Smyrna, Tenn.; and five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Joyce J. Kelly

Joyce Jones Kelly, 67, died June 13 at Memorial Medical Center.

She was a native of Griffin and owner and operator of a print shop before retiring. She was an Episcopalian.

SURVIVORS: three sons, Tim Kelly of St. Petersburg, Fla., Steve Kelly of Phoenix and Ken Kelly of Marietta; two brothers, Aubrey Jones of Orlando, Fla., and Ray Jones of Eastman; and five grandchildren.

Clifford E. Parks

Clifford E. Parks, 74, died June 14 at St. Joseph's Hospital.

He was a native of Cushing, Okla., and lived in Savannah for many years. He was a member of Windsor Forest Baptist Church and the Fred Beverly Sunday School Class. He retired from the Air Force as a chief warrant officer after 20 years and from civil service after working at Hunter Army Airfield.

SURVIVORS: his wife, Mabel Grainger Parks of Savannah; four stepsons, Kenneth C., William L., Joel W. and Mark A. Grainger, all of Savannah; two sisters, Geneva Poole of Douglas and Marie Jenkins of Springfield, Va.; a brother, Clayton Parks of Orlando, Fla.; and 12 stepgrandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Carl R. Sack

Carl R. Sack died June 14 at Memorial Medical Center.

He was a lifelong resident of Savannah and a charter member and elder of Savannah Christian Church. He retired as a salesman for Western Auto. He was an active musician who played guitar and drums in many local bands for local businesses such as Johnny Harris Restaurant and the DeSoto Hilton Hotel.

SURVIVORS: a daughter, Carol Sack of Savannah; a sister, Claire S. Bazemore of Savannah; and several nieces, nephews and special friends.

Sikes of Atlanta; two daughters, Elizabeth Capers and Linda Griffin, both of Atlanta; a sister, Christine Coleman of Lyons; five brothers, Alfred, Lloyd, Paul, Mandel and Runt Edenfield, all of Lyons; and five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

STATESBORO - Robert Lewis, 75, died June 12 at Bulloch Memorial Hospital.

He was a native of Bulloch County and a Baptist. He was retired owner and operator of Ideal Shoe Shop.

Loudean R. Hinely Sr.

GUYTON - Loudean R. Hinely Sr., 87, died June 13 at Memorial Medical Center.

He was a native of Effingham County, a farmer and a former member of the Effingham Cattlemen's Association. He was a member of Bethesda United Methodist Church and was a member of Herbert Kessler Sunday School Class, the class treasurer and a former member of the Administrative Board. He formerly was a board member for the Department of Family and Children Services, serving the agency for more than 50 years and as chairman for a number of years, and was a former member of the Effingham County Hospital Authority.

SURVIVORS: a daughter, Brenda H. Saxon of Guyton; a son, Loudean R. Hinely Jr. of Martinez; and eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
