CENTERVILLE, Iowa - Donald Dwight Thomas, 68, died June 14 at St. Joseph's Mercy Hospital in Centerville.

He was a native of Centerville, a semi-truck driver the past 51 years and an Army veteran of the Korean War.

SURVIVORS: his wife, Mickey Wright ; two sons, Mike Thomas of Las Vegas and Donnie Thomas of Rincon, Ga.; four daughters, Donna Nyquist of Springfield, Ohio, Travis Fecht of Moline, Ill., Jamie Adams of Corydon, Iowa, and Gina Starr of Centerville; a sister, Mildred Yonavich of Iowa; a brother, Arnold Thomas of Rock Island, Ill.; and 15 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and several other relatives.

FUNERAL: 11 a.m. today at Lange Funeral Home, Centerville, burial in Haines Cemetery with military rites.

Lula L. Peavy

Lula Louise Peavy, 83, died June 16 at Westview Nursing Center.

She was a native of Screven County, a resident of Chatham County the past 66 years, and the widow of John Henry Peavy Sr. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Port Wentworth and Garden City Order of Eastern Star, Chapter No. 67.

SURVIVORS: a daughter, Barbara Roller of Port Wentworth; a son, John H. Peavy Jr. of Port Wentworth; a sister, Hilda Floyd of Roanoke, Va.; and seven grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

VIDALIA - Fannie Mae Boecker, 85, died June 16 at Bethany Nursing Center in Vidalia.

She was a native of Monroe County, Miss. She resided in Denver for more than 47 years and moved to Vidalia in 1992. She was a homemaker and a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Denver.

SURVIVORS: a daughter, Carol Morris of Vidalia; a brother, George Jones of Greenwood, Miss.; a sister, Estelle Hammer of St. Louis; and five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Sapp of Florence, S.C.; four daughters, Bobbie Lynch of Kingsland, Patricia Hand of Rincon, Gwendolyn Brown and Joyce Boles, both of Savannah; two brothers, Corley Outen of Bloomingdale and Vernon Outen of Cordele; a sister, Carolyn Rich of Collins; and 14 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

SURVIVORS: his wife, Barbara Wilson of Ludowici; a daughter, Debbie Hall of Ludowici; two sons, Paul and Mike Wilson, both of Ludowici; two sisters, Edna James of Graceland, Ky., and Easter Lemaster of Olive Hill, Ky.; two grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

He was born in Ritter and was a resident his entire life. He was a member of St. Paul CME Church and served on the Trustee Board.

SURVIVORS: two sons and daughters-in-law, James L. and Natividad A. Stevens of Upper Marlboro, Md., and Elijah Stevens and the Rev. Gertrude Stevens of Glen Burnie, Md.; a daughter and son-in-law, Clara D. and Elijah Williams of Landover, Md.; two sisters, Marie Padgett and Lou Ann Pringle, both of Ritter; 10 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and other relatives.

Thelma Mary Erb, 80, died June 15.

She was a native of Yulee, Fla., and a communicant of the Episcopal Church of St. Paul the Apostle. She had been a schoolteacher and an artist in Pontiac, Mich., and Savannah for many years.

SURVIVORS: a son, Robert J. Erb of Savannah; and a grandson, Robert J. Erb Jr. of Savannah.

A memorial service will be held at a later date at the Episcopal Church of St. Paul the Apostle.

SURVIVORS: three sons, Sgt. Frankie L. Hay of Clinton, Sammy Singletary Jr. of Hampton and Willie Junior of Columbia; a stepdaughter, Dianne Jordan of Brooklyn, N.Y.; two stepsons, Garner Ackerman of Smoak and Michael Ackerman of Brooklyn; two sisters, Albertha Singletary and Fannie Hay, both of Hampton; and nine grandchildren.

She was a lifelong resident of Cobbtown, owner and operator of Durden Grocery Store and a homemaker. She was a charter member of Cobbtown Baptist Church and was a Sunday school teacher, a longtime member of WMU and active in church training.

SURVIVORS: a sister, Eleanor Ellerbe of Lakeland, Fla.; several nieces and nephews, including Laneive Schneider of Marietta, Joannah Williams of Sebring, Fla., and Gay Canuette of North Carolina; two brothers-in-law, Lamar Durden and Harry Hendrix, both of Cobbtown; and two sisters-in-law, Betty Durden and Mary Joyce Hendrix, both of Cobbtown.
