Miriam Brodie Eichholz, 92, died June 16 in Atlanta.

She was the widow of Bernard B. Eichholz.

SURVIVORS: a daughter, Ellen E. Halperin; a son, Byron B. Eichholz; two sisters, Ruby Dechovitz and Helaine Strauss; and two grandchildren, Scott J. Halperin and Stefanie L. Halperin: and many nieces and nephews.

GRAVESIDE SERVICE: 2 p.m. Friday in Bonaventure Cemetery in Savannah.

METTER - Fairy Belle Collins, 79, died June 16 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Savannah.

She retired in food service from the State of Georgia.

Collins of Los Angeles; stepdaughters, Leigh Kenney of Statesboro, Betty Duckworth of Millen and Dorothy Brierton of Atlanta; sisters, Mollie Pye of Statesboro and Josie Miller of Springfield; and brothers, Harold Skrine, Pete and Toby Screen, all of Savannah, Jimmy Screen of Portal, Hubert Foot of Brooklet and James Foot of Augusta.

Lawrence B. Taylor

Lawrence Boyd Taylor, 78, died June 17 under the care of Hospice Savannah.

He owned Taylorbuilt Cabinets in Thunderbolt and was a skilled cabinet maker. He was a member of Jehovah's Witnesses with the East Congregation.

SURVIVORS: a sister, Luline Dickey of Garden City; and a host of friends.

MEMORIAL SERVICE: 5 p.m.. Friday at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, Carmel Avenue.

Interment will be private.

MIDWAY - Julius "Snookey" Hammock, 77, died June 14 at Midway Nursing Home.

He was born in Richmond Hill and retired from Union Camp after 37 years. He was a member of Bryan Neck Baptist Church.

Young of Richmond Hill, Rosalee Burke of Brunswick and Mary Frances Bouie of Savannah; sons, Steve Garden of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Julious Clark of Elmira, N.Y., Isaiah Blige of Richmond Hill and Walter Sterling of Savannah; a sister, Mary Hammock of Savannah; a brother, Alex Campbell of Richmond Hill; 15 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

He was born in Nassau County, N.Y., and lived in Hinesville for 10 years. He was a disc jockey at Marne Club at Fort Stewart. He was a retired master sergeant and served in Desert Storm. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars, Marne Club and the American Legion.

SURVIVORS: his wife, Ruby Williams of Hinesville; two daughters, Tanya C. Williams of Hinesville and TashiaJohnson of El Paso, Texas; a son, Gregory J. Williams of Hinesville; his mother and stepfather, Ella and William Johnson of Lincolnton; his father and stepmother, Clarence and Loretta Collins of Vallejo, Calif.; four sisters, Vera Johnson of Lincolnton, Rhonda, Donna and Chara Collins, all of Vallejo; four brothers, Randolph R. She was a lifelong resident of Brunswick and valedictorian of the 1938 graduation class of Glynn Academy. She was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church and worked with her husband at Central Hardware of Brunswick.

SURVIVORS: her husband, O.V. Shaw of Brunswick; a daughter, Susan Shaw of Brunswick; two sons, Jim Shaw of Brunswick and Robert Shaw of Atlanta; a brother, Marvin Owens of Montgomery, Ala.; a sister, Felda Acton of Montgomery, Ala.; four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He was born in Evans County, attended Bryan County schools and was a graduate of Pembroke High School. He retired as an electrician for Hunter Army Airfield and Fort Stewart. He was a member of Beautiful Zion Baptist Church in Pembroke and served as Sunday school superintendent and chairman of the Deacon Board. He was an Army veteran and active in community affairs.

SURVIVORS: his wife, Della Powell Ball of Pembroke; three sons, Terrell Ball of Daisy, Darnell Ball of Chattanooga, Tenn., and Demedrius Ball of Atlanta; his mother, Maxine Ball of Claxton; three sisters, Janie B. Williams of Daisy, Irene Alexander of Savannah and Redell Price of Richmond Hill; a brother, James Ball of Pembroke; his grandparents, Bishop Oscar Foxworth and Hattie Foxworth of Pembroke; and two grandchildren.

SURVIVORS: a son, Edward E. Daniels Jr. of Macon; two daughters, Ada L. Daniels of Macon and Christy Daniels of Dublin; three sisters, Annie C. McCoy of Swainsboro and Jewell McCoy and Helen McCoy, both of Vidalia; and six grandchildren.
