Mr. Darryl Leslie
SPARTA, Ga. - Mr. Darryl Leslie, 40, died Dec. 11, 2003.
He is survived by his wife, Mary P. Leslie; mother, Mary Leslie; son, Jaylin Ivey of Mayfield; sisters and brothers, Milton Walker and Alton Leslie, both of Warrenton, Clinton Leslie and Otis Leslie, both of Sparta, Arstine Roberts of Warner Robins, Barbara Jackson and Dennis Leslie of Mayfield, Marvin Leslie of Warthen, Elvin Leslie of Crawfordville, Mary Flournoy, Thomson; stepson, Gregory Barnes, Sparta and one granddaughter.

Funeral services were held Sunday, Dec. 14, 2003, 3 p.m. at Trinity CME Church with burial in the church cemetery.

Ingram Brothers Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. George Coultas, Jr.
THOMSON, Ga.- Mr. George Coultas, Jr., of 5599 Abbott Dr., NE, Thomson, Ga. entered into rest Dec. 11, 2003 at the Veterans Administration Medical Center.
He was the beloved husband of Mary Coultas. Survivors include his wife: Mary Engelke Coultas, Thomson, two daughters, Cherie Bohler (Steve) Martinez, Ga. and Ginger Dean (John), Thomson.; brothers, Walter Coultas and Jeffery Coultas both of Victoria, Texas; three sisters, Darlene Robinson-Romeoville, Illinois, Faye Waiman-Romeoville, Illinois, Alice Doyle-Pittsfield, Illinois; five grandchildren, Brittany Bohler, Jessica Bohler, Brent Bohler, James Dean, Mikel Dean.

He was preceded in death by his son Marshall Drake Coultas.

Mr. Coultas was born in Pittsfield, Ill., and had lived in McDuffie County since 1983. He was a retired Sgt. with 20 years service from the U.S. Army and served three tours in the Vietnam War and received a Bronze Star. Mr. Coultas was also a Baptist.

Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 14, 2003 at Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens with Rev. Kevin Towns officiating. Full Military Honors were at the service.

Mr. George G. Daniels, Jr.
THOMSON, Ga.- Funeral services for Mr. George G. Daniels, Jr., 51, of Thomson, were held on Saturday, Dec. 13, 2003 at the Union Springs Baptist Church in Norwood, with Rev. John Smalley officiating. Interment was in Gospel Aide Society Cemetery.
Survivors are mother, Mary C. Hamilton, Thomson; grandmother, Willie Mae Burley, Norwood; three sons, Maurice Marshall, Fla., Petty Officer Third Class Brian Daniels, Japan, and Justin Daniel, Rex, Ga.; one daughter, Wanda Daniels, Atlanta; one step-son, two step-daughters; three sisters, Irene Brown, Las Vegas, Nev., Ethel Davis, Jonesboro, Bobbie Ivey, College Park; one brother, Hulon Hamilton, Thomson, other relatives and friends.

Thomson Funeral System was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. William P. Hardy

THOMSON, Ga.- Mr. William P. Hardy, 73, husband of Mrs. Louise Hardy, died Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2003 in the Warrenton Rehabilitation Center. Funeral services were held Friday, Dec. 12, 2003 in the Curtis Funeral Home Chapel with Revs. Jerry McNutt and Ron Lawson officiating. Burial was in Westview Cemetery.
Mr. Hardy was a native of Columbia County but had lived in Thomson for many years. He was a retired Master Carpenter. He was a veteran of the Korean War. He attended Adams Chapel.

Survivors include his wife, Louise Hardy, Dearing; a son, Tommy Edmunds, Dearing; three daughters, Margaret Pinon, Camak, Kathy Morgan, and Marcia Nichols, both of Thomson; three sisters, Frances Newby, Dearing, Ella James, Grovetown, and Margie Reeves, Thomson; four brothers, Willard Hardy, Thomson, Clay Hardy, Grovetown, Richard Axon, Sylvester, and Carl Axon, Thomson; five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; and 31 nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Calvin Fulmer, Smokey Kitchens, David Kitchens, James Foster, Gene Hardy, and Lamar Hardy.

Curtis Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Ms. Gloria Jean Davis Gibson
HARLEM, Ga.- Funeral services for Ms. Gloria Jean Davis Gibson, 45, of Steed Dr., Harlem, were Dec. 14, 2003 at 2 p.m. at First Moriah Baptist Church, Appling with Rev. Rickey Battle, Sr., pastor, officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery.
Survivors include two daughters, Tameka and Tiffany Gibson; one son, Melvin Gibson, Jr.; parents, Lenton and Annabell Davis; two grandchildren; a niece, reared as a daughter, Cierra Jones, all of Harlem; brother, Larry Davis, New York; a sister, Annette Butler, Thomson; aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.

Thomson Funeral System was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Boyd A. Taylor
THOMSON, Ga.- Mr. Boyd A. Taylor, 75, beloved husband of Mrs. Dottie Taylor, of Ware Street, went home to be with the Lord, Saturday, Dec. 13, 2003 at his residence. Funeral services will be held at a later date in Garrettsville, Ohio.
Mr. Taylor was a native of Millcreek, West Virginia but had lived in Thomson since 1976. He was retired as a manager at the Warrenton Rubber Co. He was an Army Veteran of the Korean War.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Dottie Taylor, Thomson; two daughters, Debra (Jesse) Ellison, Garrettsville, OH, and Donna (Richard) Hoskins, Doylestown, OH; a son, Michael (Patricia) Taylor, Lincolnton; a brother, Bill Taylor, Windham, OH; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Curtis Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Helen B. Donaldson
AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mrs. Helen B. Donaldson of Primrose Drive entered into rest Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2003, at Doctor's Hospital. Funeral services were held on Monday, Dec. 15, 2003 at 11 a.m. at Williams Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Oscar Brown officiating. Burial was in Southview Cemetery.
She was a native of McDuffie County and was a member of the United House of Prayer for all People.

Survivors are two sons, Bobby (Joyce) Donaldson, Beech Island, S.C., Marion Donaldson, Augusta; four daughters, Louise Richardson, Shirley Donaldson, Mary (Mitch) Carmichael, Augusta, Carrie Clark, Chicago, Ill.; one sister, Gladys Pelzer, Augusta; brothers-in-law, Roger Huff, Hercules Pelzer; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and other relatives.

Mr. Wayne P. Rogers

THOMSON, Ga. - Mr. Wayne P. Rogers, 82, of 703 Central Road, Thomson entered into rest Dec. 15, 2003 at McDuffie Regional Medical Center.
He was the beloved husband of Julia Nichols Rogers and the late Edna S. Rogers.

Survivors include his wife, Julia Nichols Rogers, Thomson; sons, Patrick S. Rogers (Jeanie), Augusta, Michael Rogers (Dana), Thomson; grandchildren, Paul Rogers (Melissa), Gibson, Paula Cook, Grovetown, Chris Rogers (Leslie), Thomson, Ashlee Rogers, Thomson, Beckie Nichols, Thomson, Julie Nichols Fulmer (Calvin), Thomson; great-grandchildren, Joshua Rogers of Gibson, Kathline Cook, Savannah Cook, and Lily Cook of Grovetown, Lexie Rogers, Lanie Rogers and Leanna Nichols, all of Thomson.

Mr. Rogers was born in Wilkes County but had lived in McDuffie County since 1947. He was the son of the late Patrick Simpkins Rogers and the late Lena Rogers. Mr. Rogers served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He was retired from Coca-Cola Bottling Company after 49 years of service as a Production Supervisor and he was a member of Raysville Boat Club. Mr. Rogers was also a member at First Baptist Church, where he had served as a former deacon, a member of the Mens Bible Study Class and he was a caretaker at the church.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2003 at First Baptist Church with Dr. James C. Elder, Jr. officiating. Interment was in Westview Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Chris Rogers, Paul Rogers, Scott Williams, Danny Harris, Calvin Fulmer, and Dallas Kerce. Honorary pallbearers were the Mens Bible Study Class of First Baptist Church.

Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church Building Fund, P. O. Box 1205, Thomson, GA 30824.

Mrs. Dorothy A. Stephens
Retired Gracewood State Hospital
THOMSON, Ga. - Mrs. Dorothy A. Stephens, 82, widow of Mr. James W. Stephens, died Monday, Dec. 8, 2003 at the McDuffie Regional Medical Center. Private services will be held later.
Mrs. Stephens was a native of Richmond County, but had lived in Thomson for several years. She was retired from the Gracewood State Hospital and was a Catholic.

She was preceded in death by her grandson, Cody Lee Stephens.

She is survived by her son, Jimmy Stephens, Thomson; two sisters, her twin sister, Mildred Krantz, Thomson and Margaret Anderson, North Augusta, S.C.; her brother, Bill Ford, Harlem; and six grandchildren, Shannon Chambers, Brandy Stephens, Lacy Stephens, Joshua Stephens, Thomas Gordy and Leigh Gordy.

Mr. Donald R. Dearing

DEARING, Ga. - Entered into rest Thursday, Nov. 27, 2003 at University Hospital, Mr. Donald R. Dearing, husband of Marian Graham Dearing of Appling, Ga.
Other family members include sons, Jim Dearing of Battle Creek, Michigan, Don Dearing of Columbus, Ga., Tom Dearing of Jacksonville, Fla. and Steve Dearing of Jacksonville; sister, Ann Snyder of Lansing, Michigan; 15 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.

Memorial services were held Monday, Dec. 1, 2003 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet and Son. Thomas Poteet & Son Funeral Directors were in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Ouida Clair Chambers
NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C.- Funeral services for Mrs. Ouida Clair Chambers, 75, of Sandy Hill Court, North Augusta, who died Nov. 25, 2003 were held Saturday, Nov. 29, at 11 a.m. from the Stephen D. Posey Funeral Home with Rev. John Los and Rev. J.W. Crouse officiating. Interment was in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Mrs. Chambers was a native of Meridian, Mississippi, having made North Augusta her home for the past 55 years. She was a member of the Cornerstone Community Church and retired from King Mill with 25 years of service.

Survivors include her husband, Edward L. Chambers, Sr.; a son, Edward L. Chambers, Jr., Thomson; six daughters, Dorothy Scruggs, Mary Fernandes, and Dana Sue Mills, all of Augusta, Edwina Marshall and Betty Gipson, both of North Augusta, and Linda Boullie, Windsor, S.C.; four brothers, Marvin Lamar Grayson, Atlanta, Ga., Frank Grayson and Harry Madden, both of Augusta and Bobby Penton, Lincolnton, Ga.; a sister, Myrl Abear, Augusta; 18 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren, and 1 great great-grandchild.

Pallbearers were Steve Fernandes, Frank Fernandes, Dustin Scruggs, William Padgett, Bobby Padgett, Lee Nasworthy, Allen Chambers, and Harry Chambers.

Stephen D. Posey Funeral Home of North Augusta was in charge of arrangements.

Ms. Daisy Reese
SUGAR HILL, Ga. - Funeral services for, 58, of Sugar Hill, were held on Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2003 at 3 p.m. at the Shiloh Baptist Church in Cadley, with Rev. James Murray, Pastor, officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery.
Ms. Reese was a Warren County native and a retiree of the J.C. Penny Company.

Survivors include two daughters, Ella Deneen Dudley, Sugar Hill, and Karen Felecia (Stanley) Callahan, Philadelphia, Penn.; three sisters, Eula Worrell, Annie Lampkin, and Janie Reese, all of Thomson; two brothers, Willie Albert Reese of Thomson and Lonzie Reese of Cambridge, Md.; four grandchildren and other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Clarice Neal Anderson
THOMSON, Ga.- Mrs. Clarice Neal Anderson of 2043 Byrd Road, Thomson, entered into rest Nov. 30, 2003 at her residence.
Survivors include daughter, Betty Anderson (Byrd), Thomson; daughter-in-law, Musa Anderson, Thomson; brother: Herbert 'Chicken' Neal, Thomson; sisters: Jamie Newsome, Harlem, Ga., Mary Brooks, Augusta, Margaret Burch, Evans, Ga., and Adel Williams, Warrenton, Ga.; grandson, Chris Anderson.

Mrs. Anderson was a lifelong resident of McDuffie County. She was a homemaker and a Baptist. Mrs. Anderson was also preceded in death by her beloved husband Jut Anderson, Sr. and her son Jut Anderson, Jr.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2003 at the Beggs Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Randy Dunaway officiating. Interment was in Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Willie Earnest Bradshaw
GROVETOWN, Ga.- Funeral services for Mr. Willie Earnest Bradshaw, age 72, were held on Saturday, November 20, 2004 at 11 a.m. at the Piney Grove Baptist Church, Dearing, with Rev. William Mack officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery.
Survivors are his devoted wife, Mrs. Florence S. Bradshaw, Grovetown; three children, Diane Gillard, Isabell Bradshaw and Donald Bradshaw; nine grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Johnson and Mrs. Mary Burt of Harlem; one brother, Johnny Bradshaw of Beaufort, S.C.; other relatives and friends.

MILLEN, Ga.- Deacon Kelly L. Roberts of Millen, entered into rest on Saturday, November 13, 2004 at Doctor's Hospital in Augusta.
Funeral Services were held on Saturday November 20, 2004 at 1 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Millen. Rev. Rayford Whitehead, Eulogist and Minister Thelma Evans, Presiding.

Deacon Roberts' loving, kind and generous spirit will forever live on in cherished memories shared by: a beloved wife, Mrs. Cora Roberts, his children, Deloris R. Morris, Faye R. Reeves, Vivian Roberts, Wynona (Gerald) Caldwell, Alvin (Rebecca) Roberts, Viola (Jesse) Bingham, Michael (Louise) Williams, Shana (Donald-Deceased) Patrick. One daughter Nadine R. Lee and one son, Cardell Roberts Roberts preceded him in death. Also left to cherish his memories are: a devoted Father-in-law, Mr. Henry D. Williams; a loving sister-in-law, Mrs. Lula Roberts; a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Chatherine Roberts, a cousin, Mrs. Ella Mae Davis and a host of loving and endearing grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
