DOUDS - FREDRICK BROWN, age 55 of Douds, Iowa died March 15, 2006 at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, Iowa. He was born icon September 9, 1950 in Memphis, Missouri to James and Pearley Ramsey Brown. He married icon Carla Ann Johnson December 19, 1993 in Bunch, Iowa. He worked at Dexter in Fairfield. He was affiliated with the Heritage Baptist Church in Keosauqua.

He is survived by his wife; 6 daughters Sherry Brown of Chilhowee, Missouri, Crystal Packham of Warrensburg, Missouri, Patricia Brown of Kirksville, Missouri and Kelisa Johnson, Chariti Brown and Jenaleigh Brown all of Douds, Iowa; 8 grandchildren; his mother Pearley Baker of Santa Maria, California; a brother Lloyd Brown of Downing, Missouri and a sister Shirley Allen of Santa Maria, California.

He was preceded in death by his father; a daughter Angel Brown and a son Adam Moore.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Sunday March 19, 2006 at the Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Pastor Larry Wagner officiating. Burial with graveside military rites by Reed Whisler Post #78 of the American Legion in Bloomfield, will be in the Taylor Cemetery in Appanoose County, Iowa. Visitation will begin at 4:00 PM Saturday with the family present from 6:00-8:00 PM. A memorial has been established to his family.

HELEN F. DIXON MATHEWS CUMMINGS

BLOOMFIELD - HELEN F. DIXON MATHEWS CUMMINGS, age 88 of Bloomfield died March 14, 2006 at the Bloomfield Care Center. She was born icon January 19, 1918 in Davis County, Iowa to Wesley W. and Ethel Kinman Dixon. She married icon Forrest F. Mathews January 19, 1939 in Bloomfield, Iowa. She later married icon Edwin G. Cummings November 9, 1969 in Bloomfield, Iowa. He preceded her in death September 29, 1993. She taught in rural Davis county schools and was a homemaker and housekeeper. She was a lifetime member of the Bloomfield Christian Church and member of the CWF.

She is survived by 3 daughters Shirley (Robert) Willcoxson of Bloomfield, Linda (Jack) Reese of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and Kathy (Mike) McClurg of Bloomfield; 3 sons Phillip (Sheila) Mathews of Hiawatha, Iowa, Duane Mathews of Marshalltown, Iowa and Ron (Teresa) Mathews of Bloomfield; 28 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; 6 great great grandchildren; 2 sisters Florence Courtney of Rogers, Arkansas and Margaret Ann Klisnick of Littleton, Colorado and a brother Richard Dixon of Columbia, Missouri.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands; a brother Lowell Hamilton and 2 sisters Rose Mary Terrell and Lorraine Davis.

Funeral services will be at 2:30 PM Saturday March 18, 2006 at the Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Rev. James Wakelin officiating. Burial will be in the IOOF Cemetery in Bloomfield. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM Friday with the family present from 6:00-8:00 PM. Memorials have been established to the Bloomfield Christian Church and the Friends of the Bloomfield Public Library Building Fund.

HANNAH B. HUTCHINGS

BLOOMFIELD - HANNAH B. HUTCHINGS, age 91 of Bolingbrook, Illinois and former Bloomfield resident died March 14, 2006 at the Meadow Brook Manor Nursing Home in Bolingbrook, Illinois. She was born icon November 25, 1914 in Drakesville, Iowa to Harry and Rhoda Alice Beaumont McConnell. She married icon Fred Hutchings May 28, 1938 in Bloomfield, Iowa. He preceded her in death April 4, 1966. She was a nurses aid at the Davis County Hospital in Bloomfield for many years. She had been a member of the Drakesville Christian Church.

She is survived by a daughter Kathryn Bulman of Bolingbrook, Illinois; 5 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren and a daughter-in-law Judy Kinsler Hutchings of Des Moines, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a son Larry Hutchings; a brother Jesse McConnnell and a sister Helen Cantril.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Saturday March 18, 2006 at the Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Rev. James Wakelin officiating. Burial will be in the IOOF Cemetery in Bloomfield. Open visitation will be from 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM Friday. The family will be present from 10:00 AM Saturday until the time of the service for visitation. A memorial has been established to the Davis County Hospital.

BETTY JEAN POSE

BLOOMFIELD - BETTY JEAN POSE, age 79 of Bloomfield died March 10, 2006 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. She was born icon April 10, 1926 in Marshalltown, Iowa to Roy Elvin and Elsie May Allen Hoover. She married icon Robert Lee Pose April 19, 1952 in Rochester, Minnesota. He preceded her in death December 14, 1983. She was a homemaker and had lived in Bloomfield since 1971. She was a member of the Bloomfield Christian Church and the CWF.

She is survived by a son Jeffrey (Karen) Pose of Lenapah, Oklahoma; 2 daughters Kendra (Rick) Warning of Bloomfield, Iowa and Leanne Rook of Marshalltown, Iowa; 2 step daughters Tana Petersen of Fairfax, Iowa and Diana (Larry) Brislawn of Hiawatha, Iowa; 9 grandchildren; 5 step grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; 5 step great grandchildren and a sister Maxine Kadner of Des Moines, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a son Paul in infancy and a step son Robert Pose, Jr.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 AM Tuesday March 14, 2006 at the Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Rev. James Wakelin officiating. Graveside services will be at 3:00 PM Tuesday at the Rose Hill Memorial Gardens in Marshalltown, Iowa. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM Monday with the family present from 6:30-8:00 PM. Memorials have been established to the Bloomfield Christian Church and the American Lung Association.

HELEN F. AESCHLIMAN

BLOOMFIELD - HELEN F. AESCHLIMAN died at the age of 93 years, 6 months and 26 days, on February 26, 2006 at the Davis County Hospital Long Term Care in Bloomfield. She was born icon July 31, 1912 in Davis County, Iowa to William and Stella Peden Fiedler Beggs. She married icon Carl Aeschliman December 14, 1930 in Davis County, Iowa. He preceded her in death September 21, 1984. She was a resident of Davis County her lifetime and was a homemaker and nurses aid at the Davis County Hospital for several years. She was a member of the Bloomfield Christian Church, Mission Circle, the Christian Church Quilters, the Davis County Hopsital Auxiliary and had volunteered at the Davis County Welcome Center.

She is survived by 4 daughters Marguarette (Jay) Wilburn of Bloomfield, Dorothy Jo (Richard) Swanson of Ollie and Eldina Stockham and Nannette McBride both of Bloomfield; 14 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; 10 step great grandchildren; 5 step great great grandchildren and a sister Martha Blair of Bloomfield.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a great grandson Kendall Davis; 3 brothers 1 in infancy, Ralph Beggs and Russell Fiedler and a sister Bernice Grim.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 AM Thursday March 2, 2006 at the Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield, with Rev. James Wakelin officiating. Burial will be in the IOOF Cemetery in Bloomfield. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM Wednesday with the family present from 6:00-7:30 PM. Memorials have been established to the Bloomfield Christian Church and the Davis County Hospital Long Term Care.

JAMES L. MARTS

BLOOMFIELD - JAMES L. MARTS, age 80 of Bloomfield died February 14, 2006 at the Davis County Hospital Long Term Care. He was born icon January 25, 1926 in Ottumwa, Iowa to Lester and Helen Rogers Marts. He married icon Betty Wardlow August 20, 1945 in Ottumwa, Iowa. He served in the United States Army during World War II and the Korean Conflict. He worked at John Morrell & Company for several years and also worked at Bloomfield Machinery. He was a member of the Bloomfield Christian Church.

He is survived by his wife; 4 daughters Nikki (Eugene) Yearns of Queen City, Missouri, Marcia (Bois) Cuneio of Stockbridge, Georgia and Connie (Bob) West and Joni (Jimmy) Hamm both of Ottumwa, Iowa; 10 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and a sister Lois North of Agency, Iowa.

He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers Jack and Robert Marts.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 PM Saturday, February 18, 2006 at the Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Rev. James Wakelin officiating. Burial with military rites by Reed Whisler Post #78 of the American Legion, will be in the IOOF Cemetery in Bloomfield. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM Friday with the family present from 6:00-7:30 PM. A memorial has been established to his family.

OPAL DARLENE LASLEY

BLOOMFIELD - OPAL DARLENE LASLEY, age 89 of Bloomfield died February 14, 2006 at the Bloomfield Care Center. She was born icon March 4, 1916 in West Grove, Iowa to Ernest F. and Sadie E. Fountain White. She married icon Harold LaVerne Lasley, he preceded her in death September 10, 1984. She was a homemaker and lived in Davis County most of her life.

She is survived by a daughter Verna (Harold) Rudd of Drakesville, Iowa; a son Steven (Janet) Lasley of Ottumwa, Iowa; 12 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; 9 step great grandchildren; 8 great great grandchildren and 7 step great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a daughter Betty Jessop; a granddaughter; 2 great granddaughters; a brother Raymond White and a sister Velma Prevo.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 AM Friday February 17, 2006 at the Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Rev. Janet Lasley officiating. Burial will be in the Rouch Cemetery in Davis County, Iowa. Visitation will begin at noon Thursday with the family present from 6:00-7:30 PM.

FRANK YOUNG

BLOOMFIELD - FRANK YOUNG, age 59 of Bloomfield died February 11, 2006 at the Mahaska County Hospital in Oskaloosa, Iowa. He was born icon July 4, 1946 in Ft. Dodge, Iowa to Frank A. and Genevieve Koll Young. He served in the United States Army during Viet Nam and Desert Storm, also serving in the National Guard. He married icon Nancy Locke November 26, 1968 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He had been a resident of Bloomfield since 1970 and was a road and bridge inspector for the Davis County Engineers Office. He was a member of St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church in Bloomfield, Reed Whisler Post #78 of the American Legion in Bloomfield and the VFW.

He is survived by his wife; a son Joe Young of Bloomfield; 2 daughters Missy Young and Jennifer Barker both of Bloomfield; 6 grandchildren and a sister Jan Peterson of Ft. Dodge, Iowa.

He is preceded in death by his parents and a twin brother Joe Young.

Mass of resurrection will be at 10:30 AM Thursday February 16, 2006 at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church in Bloomfield with Father John Spiegel officiating. Burial with military rites by Reed Whisler Post #78 of the American Legion in Bloomfield will be in the IOOF Cemetery in Bloomfield. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM Wednesday at the Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield, with a Christian wake service from 6:00-6:30 PM. Family visitation will follow until 8:00 PM. A memorial has been established to St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church.

OTIS P. STUFFLEBEAM

OTTUMWA - OTIS P. STUFFLEBEAM, age 92 of Ottumwa and former Davis County resident died February 11, 2006 at Hospice House in Ottumwa. He was born icon October 29, 1913 in Davis County, Iowa to William and Ollie Pottorff Stufflebeam. He married icon Bessie F. Morrison October 24, 1932 in Lancaster, Missouri. She preceded him in death August 14, 2001. He had been a resident of Ottumwa since 1960 and had worked at John Morrell & Co. He was a member of the East End Pentecostal Church of God in Ottumwa.

He is survived by a son Bill Stufflebeam of Lovilia, Iowa; 2 daughters Betty Hunderdosse of Fairfield, Iowa and Alice Stufflebeam of Carrollton, Missouri; 5 granddaughters; 7 great grandchildren; a great great granddaughter and a sister Lois Olson of Centerville, Iowa.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; 4 grandchildren and 2 sisters Erma Morrison and Lola Jaeger.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 AM Wednesday February 15, 2006 at the Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Revs. Loyal Hepker and Bert Johnson officiating. Burial will be in the Taylor Cemetery in Appanoose County, Iowa. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM Tuesday with the family present from 6:00-8:00 PM. Memorials have been established to the Hospice House and the East End Pentecostal Church of God.

WILBUR C. STUFFLEBEEM

BLOOMFIELD - WILBUR C. STUFFLEBEEM, age 86 of Bloomfield died February 9, 2006 at the Davis County Hospital Long Term Care in Bloomfield. He was born icon October 20, 1919 in West Grove, Iowa to Everett and Inez Clare Benge Stufflebeem. He married icon Christine Elizabeth Lang January 7, 1939 in Lancaster, Missouri. She preceded him in death May 9, 1997. He served in the United States Army during World War II in the Pacific Ocean area. He had been a mechanic. He was a member of Reed Whisler Post #78 of the American Legion in Bloomfield and the Disabled American Veterans #20 in Des Moines. He attended the Open Bible Church in West Des Moines.

He is survived by 2 sisters Rev. Alma Lanferman of Bloomfield and Beatrice Sleeth of Ottumwa; a brother Rev. E.J. Stufflebeem of Plant City, Florida and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; 2 sisters Viola and LaVelle Stufflebeem in infancy and 2 brothers Milo Stufflebeem and William Harlan Stufflebeem in infancy.

Graveside services with military rites by Reed Whisler Post #78 of the American Legion in Bloomfield will be in the IOOF Cemetery in Bloomfield at 10:30 AM Monday February 13, 2006, with Revs. Alma Lanferman and E.J. Stufflebeem officiating. Visitation will begin at noon on Sunday at the Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield, with the family present from 2:00-4:00 PM. Memorials in lieu of flowers have been established to Hospice, Inc. and the Davis County Hospital Long Term Care.
