MILTON - ESCO F. CAMPBELL, SR., age 77 of Milton, Iowa and former Davis County, Iowa resident died May 9, 2006 at the Davis County Hospital in Bloomfield. He was born icon January 15, 1929 in Appanoose County, Iowa to Benjamin F. and Emma Mae Moore Campbell. He married icon Edith M. Lester May 21, 1949 in Bloomfield, Iowa. She preceded him in death November 15, 2005. He worked for Morrell & Company in Ottumwa for 30 years and was an auctioneer and farmer. He had been a resident of Milton since 1973. He was a member of Mt. Zion Church in Libertyville, Iowa.

He is survived by a daughter Sue (Phil) Downing of Bloomfield; 4 sons Esco (Velma) Campbell, Jr. of Ottumwa, Jackson (Bessie) Campbell of Winchester, Kansas, Dave (Dorothy) Campbell of Bloomfield and Tom (Becky) Campbell of Fairfield; 14 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; a brother Reuben Campbell of Ottumwa and a sister Leonis Cohagen of Ottumwa.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; a daughter Judy Campbell; 6 brothers Paul, Pearl, Hubert, William, Vance and James Campbell and 3 sisters Artie Carpenter, Audry Campbell and one in infancy.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM Saturday May 13, 2006 at the Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Rev. Jerry Caughron and Ken Downing officiating. Burial will be in the IOOF Cemetery in Bloomfield, Iowa. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM Friday with the family present from 7:00-8:30 PM. A memorial has been established to the Kidney Foundation.

WILBUR HARL ELLENBERGER

BLOOMFIELD - WILBUR HARL ELLENBERGER, age 85 of Bloomfield died May 7, 2006 at the Davis County Hospital Long Term Care. He was born icon March 23, 1921 in Davis County, Iowa to John Phillip and Ida Kate Harl Ellenberger. He married icon Helen Marie Howk June 22, 1941 in Lancaster, Missouri. She preceded him in death September 12, 1992. He served in the United States Navy during World War II and the Naval Reserves. He was a farmer, living his lifetime in Davis County. He was a member of the Bloomfield Christian Church, Past Master of Franklin Lodge #14 AF & AM in Bloomfield, member of Ottumwa Masonic Lodge #16, Past Worthy Patron of Friendship Chapter #46 Order of the Eastern Star in Bloomfield, member of the United States LST Association and Past Commander of Reed Whisler Post #78 of the American Legion in Bloomfield.

He is survived by 4 daughters Karen (Tom) Prosapio of Naperville, Illinois, Linda Boatman of Chicago, Illinois, Sally (Randy) Weimer of Marco Island, Florida and Jacqueline (Bill) Faulkner of Los Altos, California; 8 grandchildren; 5 step grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; 5 step great grandchildren; a brother Jack Ellenberger of Colorado Springs, Colorado and 2 brothers-in-law Rex Howk of Bloomfield and Max Deal of Mt. Pleasant.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; 2 sisters Elizabeth Stevenson and Margaret Deal and 2 brothers Richard and Russell Ellenberger.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 AM Wednesday May 10, 2006 at the Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Rev. James Wakelin officiating. Burial with military rites by Reed Whisler Post #78 of the American Legion in Bloomfield will be in the IOOF Cemetery in Bloomfield. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM Tuesday at the Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield. Masonic services will be held at 6:30 PM Tuesday with family visitation following until 8:30 PM. Memorials have been established to Hospice, Inc. and the Davis County Hospital Long Term Care.

PAUL SHERMAN HOUGLAND

BLOOMFIELD - PAUL SHERMAN HOUGLAND, age 97 of Bloomfield died May 2, 2006 at his home. He was born icon April 6, 1909 in Davis County, Iowa to Ed and Thressa Horner Hougland. He married icon Hilda I. Wilson August 9, 1930 in Bloomfield, Iowa. She preceded him in death November 15, 2005. He was a resident of Davis County most of his life and was a farmer and school bus driver. He was a member of the Barker United Methodist Church.

He is survived by 4 sons Jerry (Marilyn) Hougland of Pleasant Hill, Iowa, James (Charlotte) Hougland of Bloomfield, David (Marlene) Hougland of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and Charles (Diane) Hougland of Milo, Iowa; 4 daughters Helen (Art) Fuhr of Florissant, Missouri, Doris (Bob) Newton of Bloomfield, Iowa, Virginia (DeWayne) Mullinix of Downing, Missouri and Phyllis (Vernon) Roe of Des Moines, Iowa; 2 daughter-in-laws Sally Hougland of Indianola, Iowa and Carolyn Hougland of Sherwood, Arkansas; 40 grandchildren; 75 great grandchildren; 27 great great grandchildren and a sister Maxine Slavin of Memphis, Missouri.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; 2 sons Harold and Alfred Hougland; a granddaughter Lee Anne Fuhr; 3 brothers Brayton, Asher and Marquis Hougland and a sister Lyrla May Hougland.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM Friday May 5, 2006 at the Barker United Methodist Church in Scotland County, Missouri with Barb Hagerla and Dee Wiley officiating. Burial will be in the Barker Cemetery in Scotland County, Missouri, adjacent to the church. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM Thursday at the Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield, with the family present from 6:00-8:00 PM. A memorial has been established to the Barker United Methodist Church.

JOHN M. FARON

BLOOMFIELD - JOHN M. FARON, age 77 of Bloomfield died May 1, 2006 at the Davis County Hospital in Bloomfield. He was born icon January 27, 1929 in Kansas City, Missouri to Clifton A. and Edith Grunswald Faron. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He married icon Edna Robison October 23, 1965 in Kansas City, Missouri. He worked for the Best Foods Company in Kansas City, Missouri for 27 years as a shift manager. He was a member of the Christian Science Church in Kansas City, Missouri. He had been a resident of Davis County for 20 years.

He is survived by his wife; 4 daughters Brandie Craft and Misty Roberts both of Ottumwa, Trina Wilson of St. Joseph, Missouri and Carol Gallegos of Montrose, Colorado; 7 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; 3 brothers and 3 sisters.

Graveside services will be at 11:00 AM Thursday May 4, 2006 at the Pulaski Cemetery in Pulaski, Iowa with Rev. James Wakelin officiating. Military rites will be conducted by Reed Whisler Post #78 of the American Legion in Bloomfield. The family will be present for visitation from 9:00-10:30 AM Thursday at the Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield.

ORVILLE V. KEYSER

DRAKESVILLE - ORVILLE V. KEYSER, age 82 of Drakesville died April 11, 2006 at the Bloomfield Care Center. He was born icon December 23, 1923 in Madelia, Minnesota to Elbert and Ella Evenson Keyser. He married icon Telma C. Wheeler February 7, 1946 in Glenview, Illinois. He served in the United States Navy during World Ward II. He lived most of his life in Davis County and was a farmer. He was a member of the Ash Grove Christian Church and Reed Whisler Post #78 of the American Legion in Bloomfield.

He is survived by his wife; a son Kris Keyser of Drakesville, Iowa; a brother Dale Keyser of Redondo Beach, California and a sister Edith Eastvold of Blue Earth, Minnesota.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter in infancy; 2 brothers John and Donald Keyser and a sister Ruth Keyser.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 AM Friday April 14, 2006 at the Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Rev. Jim Matheney officiating. Burial with graveside military rites by Reed Whisler Post #78 of the American Legion in Bloomfield will be in the IOOF Cemetery in Bloomfield. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM Thursday with the family present from 6:00-7:00 PM. A memorial has been established.

ORVILLE V. KEYSER

C.L. Lang

BLOOMFIELD - C. La Verne Lang, 85 of Clive, Iowa died Friday, April 7, 2006 at Iowa Methodist Hospital in Des Moines. LaVerne Lang was born icon December 4th, 1920 in Bloomfield, Iowa to Lola Faye Wilson Lang and Crayton Alva Lang. He graduated from Davis County High School and served in the U.S. Army in World War II as a Signal Corpsman in Northern Africa and Italy. He married icon Elexene Bowling in November 29,1942 in Queen City, Missouri. After the war he returned to Bloomfield and entered into the jewelry business with his parents and wife. In 1962 he and his wife purchased Zoller's Jewelry Store in Muscatine, Iowa, of which he was owner and an active partner until its close in Dec. 2002. LaVerne Lang was among the first Certified Gemologists in the state of Iowa. He served on many civic boards in both Bloomfield and Muscatine, Iowa. He was a member of the V.F.W., the Masonic Lodge, and the Methodist Church. His passions were his wife and family, his Model T Ford, and operating his amateur radio (ABØM).

He is survived by his daughters Mary Lang Smith, Martha Lang, Margaret and Luca Berrone; grandchildren William P. Smith (Frances), Joshua A. Smith (Linda) Stefanie Smith, Tyler Berrone, Daniela Berrone, and great-granddaughter Jacqueline Rose Smith. He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years Elexene, a daughter Molly, and his parents.

Funeral services will be held at Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield, Iowa Tuesday, April 11, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Kevin Gingerich officiating. Burial with military rites by Reed Whisler Post # 78 of the American Legion, Bloomfield will be in the IOOF cemetery in Bloomfield. Family will accept visitors one hour prior to the funeral service.

Memorials may be made to the Salvation Army of Muscatine, Iowa - 1000 Oregon St Muscatine, IA 52761 or to the Davis County Clock Restoration Fund. Condolences may be sent to P.O. Box 7858 in Urbandale, Iowa 50322 or to P.O. Box 17 Muscatine, Iowa 52761.

David Valentine Dudziak

Bloomfield — David Valentine Dudziak age 48 of Bloomfield died April 06, 2006 at the Davis County Hospital in Bloomfield, Iowa. He was born icon February 21, 1958 in Kirksville, Missouri to Frank V. and Barbara A. Stitzer Dudziak. He married icon Kathy Sue Davis Septmeber 11, 1993 in Davis County, Iowa. She preceded him in death on February 27, 2003. He attended the Bloomfield Tabernacle Baptist Church.

He is survived by three daughters; Lacey (Matt Craft) Dudziak of Bloomfield, Iowa, Davida Dudziak of Drakesville, Iowa and Alexis Dudziak of Hannibal, Missouri. One grandson, his mother Barbara Buffey of Queen City, Missouri and four sisters; Denise Teller of Columbia, Missouri, Lisa McClellan of Queen City, Missouri, Racheal Johnson of Bloomfield, Iowa and Candy Kott of Sioux Falls, South Dakota and two brothers, Joseph E. Dudziak of Columbia, Missouri and Douglas Dudziak of Kirksville, Missouri.

He is preceded in death by his father and a brother Alan Maurice Miller.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday April 10, 2006 at the Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield, Iowa with Pastor Rick Rigney officiating. Burial will be in the Sunnyside Cemetary in Milton, Iowa. The family be at the funeral home on Sunday April 9, 2006 for visitation from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. A memorial has been established to his family.

PAUL A. LEE

FLORIS - PAUL A. LEE, age 64 of rural Floris, Iowa died March 24, 2006 at his home. He was born icon November 17, 1941 in Dubuque, Iowa to Norman and Eva Butters Lee. He married icon Donna Lewis March 19, 1960 in Bloomfield, Iowa. He lived in Davis County most of his life and was retired from Rockwell in Fairfield. He also was a farmer and beekeeper. He was a member of the Iowa Beekeepers Association and loved to hunt, trap, fish and gardening.

He is survived by 2 sons David (Kristi) Lee of Floris, Iowa and Paul Lee, Jr. of Troy, Iowa; 2 daughters Paulletta (Ken) Cox of Redfield, Iowa and Dawn (Ryan) Boston of Carthage, Illinois; 10 grandchildren; 5 brothers David, James, Elwin, Lyle and Earl Lee and a step sister Lorraine Reece.

He is preceded in death by his parents; a daughter Holly Lee; a brother Norman Lee; a step brother Leslie Lee and a step sister June Waite.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 AM Tuesday March 28, 2006 at the Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Rev. David Albert officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Gilead Cemetery in Davis County, Iowa. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM Monday with the family present from 6:00-7:30 PM. A memorial has been established to his family.

MARY LEE RITZ

PULASKI - MARY LEE RITZ, age 76 of Pulaski, Iowa died March 22, 2006 at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa. She was born icon March 19, 1930 in Pulaski, Iowa to Clarence J. and Mary Ann Slonaker Prevo. She married icon Neal L. Ritz July 1, 1950 in Pulaski, Iowa. He preceded her in death December 20, 2003. She had been a resident of Pulaski her lifetime and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Calvary Community Church in Pulaski, served as secretary of the Pulaski Senior Citizens and volunteered at the Bloomfield Care Center.

She is survived by a nephew Darrell McMain of Bloomfield, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband and 2 sisters Nellie Prevo and Madeline McMain.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Sunday March 26, 2005 at the Calvary Community Church in Pulaski, Iowa with Doran Bollman officiating. Burial will be in the Pulaski Cemetery in Pulaski, Iowa. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM Saturday at the Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield, with the family present from 6:00-7:30 PM. A memorial has been established to the Calvary Community Church.
