PATRICK JAMES MARTIN

BLOOMFIELD - PATRICK JAMES MARTIN, age 18 of rural Bloomfield died November 22, 2005 as a result of injuries suffered in an automobile accident in Mahaska County. He was born icon July 22, 1987 in Iowa City, Iowa. He was affiliated with the Calvary Community Church in Pulaski, Iowa and the North American Hunters Association.

He is survived by his parents Terry and JoEllen Stewart Martin of Bloomfield; 4 brothers Chris, Alex and Terry, Jr. Martin all of Bloomfield and Darin Martin of New London, Missouri; 4 sisters Jessica Martin of Bloomfield and Brandy, Brittanie and Bridgett Martin of Grand Rapids, Michigan and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM Saturday November 26, 2005 at the Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Doran Bollman officiating. Burial will be in the Wesley Chapel South Cemetery in Davis County, Iowa. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM Friday with the family present from 6:00-8:00 PM. A memorial has been established to his family.

EDITH M. CAMPBELL

MILTON - EDITH M. CAMPBELL, age 75 of Milton and former Davis County resident died November 15, 2005 at University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics in Iowa City, Iowa. She was born icon April 18, 1930 in Davis County, Iowa to John and Nellie Goudy Lester. She married icon Esco Campbell May 21, 1949 in Bloomfield, Iowa. She had been a resident of Milton since 1973 and was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband; a daughter Candice Sue (Phil) Downing of Bloomfield; 4 sons Esco (Velma) Campbell, Jr. of Ottumwa, Jackson (Bessie) Campbell of Winchester, Kansas, Dave (Dorothy) Campbell of Bloomfield and Tom (Becky) Campbell of Fairfield; 14 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; a brother Jess Lester of Sterling, Colorado and 3 sisters Zoe Young of Ft. Worth, Texas and Ida Dalby and Pansy Campbell of Ottumwa.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter Judy Campbell; 3 sisters Lucy Herod, Grace Small and Charlotte Heckethorne and a brother William Lester.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM Saturday November 19, 2005 at the Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Revs. Jerry Caughron and Ken Downing officiating. Burial will be in the IOOF Cemetery in Bloomfield, Iowa. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM Friday with the family present from 7:00-8:30 PM. A memorial has been established to the Kidney Foundation.

HILDA IRENE HOUGLAND

BLOOMFIELD - HILDA IRENE HOUGLAND, age 94 of Bloomfield died November 15, 2005 at the Bloomfield Care Center. She was born icon August 17, 1911 in Scotland County, Missouri to Albert Roy and Edith Sarah Cossell Wilson. She married icon Paul Hougland August 9, 1930 in Bloomfield, Iowa. She had been a resident of Davis County most of her life and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Barker United Methodist Church, UMW and the Stiles C & C Club.

She is survived by her husband; 4 sons Jerry (Marilyn) Hougland of Pleasant Hill, Illinois, James (Charlotte) Hougland of Bloomfield, Iowa, David (Marlene) Hougland of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and Charles (Diane) Hougland of Milo, Iowa; 4 daughters Helen (Art) Fuhr of Florissant, Missouri, Doris (Bob) Newton of Bloomfield, Iowa, Virginia (DeWayne) Mullinix of Downing, Missouri and Phyllis (Vernon) Roe of Des Moines, Iowa; 40 grandchildren; 75 great grandchildren; 25 great great grandchildren; and a sister Nina Bolin of Drakesville, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 sons Harold and Alfred Hougland; a granddaughter Leanne Fuhr; 4 brothers Ivan, Melvin, Earl and Virgil Wilson and a sister Nona Roberts.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM Friday November 18, 2005 at the Barker United Methodist Church in Scotland County, Missouri with Barb Hegerla officiating. Burial will be in the Barker Cemetery adjacent to the church. The family will be at the Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield, Iowa for visitation Thursday from 6:00-8:00 PM. A memorial has been established to the Barker United Methodist Church.

FERN BRUNK

BLOOMFIELD - FERN BRUNK, age 87 of Bloomfield died November 13, 2005 at the Davis County Hospital Long Term Care in Bloomfield. She was born icon October 23, 1918 in Davis County, Iowa to Wallace F. and Vera Sarrah French Martin. She married icon Glen Lee Brunk December 9, 1935 in Floris, Iowa, he preceded her in death March 16, 1978.

A lifetime resident of Davis County, she was a homemaker. She was a member of the Stiles Christian Church and the Savannah Ladies Aide.

She is survived by 2 sons Ronald Brunk of Bloomfield and Gerald Brunk of Brashear, Missouri; a daughter Alberta Harper of Kirksville, Missouri; 8 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 2 great great granddaughters and a brother Bernie Martin of Bloomfield.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Funeral services will be at 2:30 PM Thursday, November 17, 2005 at the Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Kramer Smith officiating. Burial will be in the Savannah Cemetery in Savannah, Iowa. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM Wednesday with the family present from 6:30-8:00 PM. A memorial has been established to the Stiles Christian Church.

GOLDIE M. LEYDA

BLOOMFIELD - GOLDIE M. LEYDA, age 100 of Bloomfield died November 13, 2005 at the Davis County Hospital Long Term Care. She was born icon December 30, 1904 in Davis County, Iowa to George and Margaret Crom Bogle. She married icon Lowell Glen Leyda October 18, 1924 in Bloomfield, Iowa, he preceded her in death December 5, 1957. She was a lifetime resident of Davis County and was a homemaker and cook at several restaurants. She was a member of the Washington Christian Church, the Mark Stitch and Chatter Club, Rebekah Lodge #1 in Bloomfield, was a Past Noble Grand and member of WRC.

She is survived by 2 sons Robert and Max Leyda both of Bloomfield; a daughter Helen McWilliams of Manchester, Iowa; 11 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren and a great great grandson.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband a son Boyd Leyda; a daughter Lucille Leyda; a grandson Ricky Leyda; 4 brothers and 5 sisters.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Thursday November 17, 2005 at the Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Rev. James Wakelin officiating. Burial will be in the IOOF Cemetery in Bloomfield. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM Wednesday with the family present from 6:00-7:30 PM. Memorials have been established to the Bloomfield Christian Church and the Long Term Care.

MARGUERITE ALICE WILCOX

DRAKESVILLE - MARGUERITE ALICE WILCOX, age 90 of Bloomfield and former Drakesville resident died November 8, 2005 at the Davis County Hospital Long Term Care in Bloomfield. She was born icon November 18, 1914 in Ash Grove, Iowa to Lester and Margaret “Katy “ Dommer Cassill. She married icon Charlie Wilcox January 24, 1940 in Ash Grove, Iowa, he preceded her in death November 1, 1989. She was a resident of Davis County her lifetime and was a homemaker.

She is survived by 3 daughters Dorthea Dell of West Grove, Mary Ray of Bloomfield, and Sue Wilcox of Fairfield; 3 sons C.R. Wilcox, Harlow Wilcox and Rex Wilcox all of Drakesville; 13 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; a great great grandson;
2 brothers Harold Cassill of Drakesville and Russell Cassill of Bloomfield and a sister Mabel Ireland of Ottumwa.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a daughter Sandra Cox;
3 grandsons and 2 brothers Harvey and Billy Cassill.

Graveside services will be at 10:30 AM Thursday November 10, 2005 at the Breeding Cemetery north of Drakesville, Iowa with Rev. DeWayne Lawson officiating. No visitation is planned. A memorial has been established to her family. .

Casketbearers will be Harlow, C.R. and Todd Wilcox, Claude Cox, Tonya Tangie and Kay Heriford. Honorary bearers will be Brian, Carrie and Ronnie Wilcox, Ralph Ray Ed Heriford and Kevin Tangie.

Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield in charge of arrangements.

LEORA M. FEAGINS

PULASKI - LEORA M. FEAGINS, age 83 of Bloomfield and former Pulaski resident died October 30, 2005 at the Davis County Hospital Long Term Care in Bloomfield. She was born icon September 4, 1922 in Davis County, Iowa to Lee and Mary E. Fountain Howard. She married icon Willis Eugene Brunk August 2, 1941. He died May 12, 1947. She later married icon Edward Feagins July 10, 1953 in Pulaski. He died January 8, 1993. She had been a resident of Pulaski her entire life and was a substitute clerk at the Pulaski Post Office for 26 years. She was a member of the Pulaski United Methodist Church and the TOPS Club.

She is survived by 2 sons Ron Brunk of Muscatine, Iowa and Terry Feagins of Milan, Missouri; 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands; 2 brothers Harold and Osie Howard and a sister Maxine Herbert.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 AM Wednesday November 2, 2005 at the Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Pastor Kevin Gingerich officiating. Burial will be in the Pulaski Cemetery in Pulaski, Iowa. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM Tuesday with the family present from 5:00-7:00 PM. A memorial has been established to the Long Term Care.

HELEN RUTH WARE

BLOOMFIELD - HELEN RUTH WARE, age 83 of Bloomfield died October 28, 2005 at the Bloomfield Care Center. She was born icon June 24, 1922 in Davis County, Iowa to John Cyrus and Sylvia Frances Myers Lough. She married icon Harold Hullverne Ware May 12, 1940 in Davis County, Iowa, he preceded her in death in 1962. She had been a resident of Davis County most of her life. She owned and operated the Lunch Box in Bloomfield. She worked at United Food in Ottumwa and the Davis County Hospital Physical Therapy Department. She also owned and operated a restaurant in Troy Mills and later worked as a clerk in the Davis County Assessors Office. She was a member of the Dunnville Baptist Church serving as secretary-treasurer of the woman’s group and Sunday School, in addition to playing piano and singing in the choir. She enjoyed her writers club, the Red Hat Club and her card club. She also participated in the Senior Citizen Center and the Welcome Center.

She is survived by a son Harold “Phil” (Helene) Ware of Bloomfield; 2 grandchildren Alethea (Brent) Cook of Fairfield and Phillip “Ty” Ware of Bloomfield and 3 great grandchildren Tanner and Gage Cook and Blake Ware.

She is preceded in death by her parents and a brother in infancy.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 Am Tuesday November 1, 2005 at the Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Rev. Marvin Martin officiating. Burial will be in the Dunnville Cemetery in Davis County, Iowa. Visitation will begin at 9:00 Am Monday with the family present from 6:30-8:00 PM. A memorial has been established to the Dunnville Baptist Church.

ROBERT EDWARD JACKSON

BLOOMFIELD - ROBERT EDWARD JACKSON, age 82 of Bloomfield died October 18, 2005 at his home. He was born icon August 30, 1923 in Davis County, Iowa to George G. and Freda M. Hining Jackson. He was a resident of Davis County most of his life and was a farmer. He was a member of the Bloomfield Christian Church.

He is survived by a brother James Leon Jackson of Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers Rollin and Lowell Jackson.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM Saturday October 22, 2005 at the Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Rev. Jack Jackson officiating. Burial will be in the Mt.Gilead Cemetery in Davis County, Iowa. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM Friday with the family present from 6:30-8:00 PM. A memorial has been established to the Friends of the Bloomfield Public Library.

JEAN K. STOCKHAM

BLOOMFIELD - JEAN K. STOCKHAM, age 78 of Bloomfield died October 17, 2005 at the Davis County Hospital in Bloomfield. She was born icon June 6, 1927 in Ottumwa, Iowa to Jesse E. and Mabel L. Hicks Shelton. She married icon B.L. “Billie” Stockham August 26, 1951 in Ottumwa, Iowa, he preceded her in death February 13, 1987. She was a 1944 graduate of Ottumwa High School. A resident of Davis County most of her life, she worked at the Gilfillan Clinic for 27 years as a receptionist. She was a member of the Bloomfield Christian Church, CWF, Chapter B P.E.O., Chautauqua Club, So and Sew Club, Davis County Fine Arts and the Red Hat Ladies.

She is survived by a son Bill (Sylvia) Stockham of Green Valley, Illinois; 3 daughters Pam (Gary) Hoebeke of Biloxi, Mississippi, Cindy (Kermit Wood) Vinzant of Bloomfield, Iowa and Sherry (Larry) Hopkins of Troy, Iowa; 5 grandsons Bryan and Jeff Behrens, Wesley and Adam Stockham and Gale Hopkins; 6 great grandchildren and a sister Jackie Doan of Vista, California.

She is preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 PM Thursday October 20, 2005 at the Bloomfield Christian Church with Rev. James Wakelin officiating. Burial will be in the IOOF Cemetery in Bloomfield, Iowa. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM Wednesday at the Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield with the family present from 6:00-8:00 PM. Memorials have been established to the Bloomfield Christian Church and the Davis County Hospital Long Term Care Activity Fund.
