Funeral services will be held Saturday at 9:30 a.m. at Bates Funeral Chapel with Meneleo Dinogan officiating. Burial will be in the Forest Cemetery in Oskaloosa. Visitation will begin Friday after 2 p.m. at the Bates Funeral Chapel; family will be present from 4 to 6 p.m. to greet friends and relatives.

BLOOMFIELD - Bradley Charles Harsch, 37, of Bloomfield, Iowa died July 25, 2008 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, Iowa. He was born
July 15, 1971 to Larry Dean and Carolynne G. Hobbs Harsch in Ottumwa, Iowa. He was self-employed doing auto body work and hanging drywall.
He is survived by his mother; a daughter, Joplan Palmer of Ottumwa, Iowa; a special friend, Patricia Perian of Bloomfield, Iowa; 5 brothers, Jeff Harsch of West Des Moines, Iowa, Greg Harsch of Bloomfield, Monte Harsch of Drakesville, Iowa, Kevin Harsch of West Chester, Iowa, Justin Harsch of Middletown, Iowa; 2 sisters, Julie Nieuwsma of Elighton, Iowa, Jennifer Harsch of Ottumwa; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father; a brother, Corey Harsch; and his grandparents.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 29, 2008 at the Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield, Iowa with Kramer Smith officiating. Burial will be in the Pulaski Cemetery in Pulaski, Iowa. Visitation will begin after 9 a.m. on Monday with the family present to greet friends from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. A memorial has been established to the Stiles Christian Church.

BEACON — William Lewis “Bill” Kirk Sr., 81, of Beacon passed away Tuesday evening, Jan. 15, 2008, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 18, at Garland-Van Arkel-Langkamp Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Dan Ridnouer of Beacon United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Jackson Cemetery near Rose Hill with military honors conducted by the Harry L. Anderson Post No. 34 of the American Legion, the Disabled American Veterans Post No. 21 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 2237. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Thursday at Garland-Van Arkel-Langkamp Funeral Chapel; the family will be at the funeral chapel from 6 to 7 p.m. to greet visitors. A memorial has been established in his name and will be designated at a later time.

OSKALOOSA — Willis Wayne Ahrens, 81, of Oskaloosa, formerly of Fremont, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2008, at the Mahaska Health Partnership in Oskaloosa.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, Jan. 26, from 2 until 4 p.m. with Masonic services conducted by Frank Wilson of Ottumwa to follow at the Fremont Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, Jan. 27, at 2 p.m. at the Fremont Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Dennis E. Morey officiating, assisted by the Rev. Hans Cornelder of the First Presbyterian Church of Oskaloosa. Interment will follow at Cedar Township North Cemetery in Fremont with military honors conducted by the Harry L. Anderson American Legion Post No. 34, the VFW Post No. 2237, and Disabled American Veterans Post No. 21 of Oskaloosa. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his name to Mahaska County Hospice or the First Presbyterian Church Oskaloosa.

OELWIEN — Richard H. Dorn, 71, of Oelwein, died Monday morning, Jan. 21, 2008, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids after a short illness.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 24, at Geilenfeld Funeral Home in Oelwein with the Rev. James Rozendaal officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Oelwein. There will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in his name.

In accordance with his wishes, his body will be cremated following funeral services and private interment of ashes will be at a later date. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 25, at Garland-Van Arkel-Langkamp Funeral Chapel; the family will be at the funeral chapel from 10 a.m. to service time on Saturday. The body has been cremated and a Memorial Service will be held Monday, Feb. 4, at 1 p.m. in the Bates Funeral Chapel in Oskaloosa with the Rev. Robert Dean officiating. Burial will be in the Forest Cemetery, Oskaloosa. Memorials may be made to the Heart Connection. Visitation with the family will be Monday from noon until service time.

PELLA — Gerald H. Van Andel, 81, of Pella, passed away Saturday morning at the Hospice of Pella Comfort House.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, Feb. 5, at 11 a.m. at the First Christian Reformed Church in Pella. Visitation will be all day Monday at the Van Dyk-Duven Funeral Home where the family will be present Monday from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Memorials may be designated for First Christian Reformed Church or the Hospice of Pella Comfort House.
