Pauline Neville, 93, of 145 Dawley St. NE died on Wed., Jan. 7, 2004 at the Higley Mansion after a short illness. Services at 10 AM Sat. at the Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. Rev. Lloyd Brockmeyer will officiate. Burial at the Wilcox cemetery near Viola. Friends may call at the Cedar Memorial Funeral Home from 4 to 7 PM on Friday and at the Chapel after 9 AM on Sat. Survivors include a brother, James Wild and his wife, Lois and a sister, Vivian Holcomb both of Anamosa. She is also survived by 2 nieces, Jean Dunn and Paula Holcomb, 2 nephews, David and Jim Wild, 2 grand nieces, Cari and Ashley Wild and 7 great nephews, Ryan and Sean Dunn, Justin and Jared Wild and Chris, Tim and David Holcomb. She was preceded in death by a nephew, Edwin Holcomb.
Pauline was born on Jan. 2, 1911 in Anamosa, the daughter of Ed and Carrie Dickinson Wild. She married Oliver Neville on March 3, 1951 the Quad Cities. He died in 1983. Pauline attended Cornell College and Coe College of Business. She was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church and was past chairperson of the Mary Neoma Circle there. She was past matron of Cedar Chapter of Eastern Star, past queen of Daughters of the Nile, past high priestess of the White Shrine of Jerusalem, PEO and past president of I.F. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to St. Paul's Foundation or the Shriners.

Eleanor Furnish Wihlfehrt 85, of Clinton, Louisiana, formerly of Cedar Rapids, died Tuesday, December 30, 2003, in a Nursing Center in Clinton, Louisiana, following a short illness. Services at 3 PM Tuesday in Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. Rev. Bev Thompson-Travis will officiate. Burial in Cedar Memorial Park cemetery . Friends may call at the chapel after 2 PM on Tuesday. Arrangements by Cedar Memorial Funeral Home.
Survivors include four sons Thomas Furnish Jr. and wife Juanita of Cedar Rapids, James Furnish and wife Lenora of California, Charles Furnish of Colorado, and Randy Furnish of Arizona, a daughter Judy Andrews and husband Carl of Clinton, Louisiana, three brothers Floyd Rowden and wife Dorothy of Cedar Rapids, Bill Rowden and wife Helen of Shellsburg, Iowa, and Fred Rowden and wife Martha of Indiana, two sisters Ellen Sacora and husband Keith of Marion, and Betty Neste and husband Dale of Decorah, Iowa, 13 grandchildren, and many great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, a son Billie a daughter Lucinda, a sister Rosie, and two brothers Don and Leo Rowden.
Eleanor was born July 12, 1918 in Cedar Rapids to Roy and Vina Long Rowden. She married Thomas E. Furnish Sr. on September 15, 1937 in Center Point, Iowa. He died in 1973. She later married Irv Wihlfehrt who died in 1998.
Eleanor enjoyed painting and especially spending time with all her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Michael R. Tebussek, 51, of 5418 Bent Tree Ct. NE died Wed. Jan. 7, 2004 the result of a pedestrian, auto accident in Cedar Rapids. Services at 1 PM on Saturday at the Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. Rev. Richard Marsceau will officiate. Entombment in Cedar Memorial Park cemetery . Friends may call at the Cedar Memorial Funeral Home from 5 to 8 PM on Friday and at the Chapel after Noon on Saturday. The casket will be closed at all times.
Survivors include his wife, Linda, a daughter Hillary, a student at the University of Iowa, a son Stephen, at home, his mother Vonna and stepfather Al Griffin of Cedar Rapids, a brother David and wife Robin of Naperville, Illinois, and a sister Jane West and her husband, Garth of Rochester, MN. He is also survived by two brothers in law, Nelson and Lee Meyers, a sister in law, Janice Meyers all of Tipton and seven nieces and four nephews.
Michael was born on Jan. 17, 1952 in Decatur, ILL., the son of Raymond and Vonna Gray Tebussek. He married Linda J. Meyers on Sept. 13, 1975 in Clarence, Iowa. Michael was a delivery driver at UPS for over 30 years. He was a member of the Noelridge Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in Michael's name.

Dorothy Eve Ellingson

Dorothy Eve Ellingson, 93, of Northbrook Manor Care Center died Thursday, January 8, 2004 at the care center following an extended illness. Loved ones were with her. She was born in Louisa County, Iowa on June 4, 1910 to John Laurence and Elizabeth Fischer Colton. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Pearl Bradshaw and two brothers, Donald and Merle Colton. She was united in marriage to Herbert Ellingson on June 3, 1938 and celebrated 61 years of marriage with him prior to his death in April, 2000.
Dorothy graduated from Cotter Iowa High School in 1929 and from the University of Iowa with a degree in secondary education in 1933. Her experience teaching in a one room school house qualified her to teach elementary education in Cedar Rapids. She received certification in elementary education from Coe College in 1963.
Dorothy and her husband retired in 1973 and wintered in McAllen, Texas until 1993. She was active in the Olivet Presbyterian Church in Cedar Rapids and the First Presbyterian Church in McAllen belonging to Mizpah King's Daughters and the Martha Mary Church Circle in Cedar Rapids. She was a past member of the Cedar Rapids Women's Club and the Organization of University Women. Dorothy was an avid reader, loved travel and she and her husband were quiet supporters of community charities and political candidates.
She is survived by her son Larry and his wife Mary of Marquette, Michigan; daughters, Linda Biedenbach and husband John of Marion and Karen Gaddis and husband Don of Solon; 13 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 3:00 P.M. Saturday at the Cedar Memorial Funeral Home. Friends may call from 4 to 7 PM Friday. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park cemetery . The Rev. Karen Downey Beals will officiate.
The family suggests that memorials given in their mother's name go to the Martha Mary Circle at Olivet Church.

Pearl E. Buscher, 91, of 1030 Memorial Dr. SE, passed away peacefully on January 2, 2004 at Northbrook Manor Care Center. Services at 1 PM Monday in Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. Rev. Paul Scheidt of Bethany Lutheran Church will officiate. Burial in Cedar Memorial Park cemetery . Friends may call at Cedar Memorial Funeral Home from 4 to 6 PM on Sunday and at the chapel after 12:30 PM on Monday.
Survivors include sons John H. Buscher of Cedar Rapids, Galen F. Buscher and wife Brenda of Shueyville; daughters Judy Kinney and husband Wayne, and Joyce Frame of Cedar Rapids, a niece Leona Humble of Springville, seven grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband John in 1960, her parents, a son Marvin G. Buscher, two grandchildren Jeremy Frame and Scott Buscher, one great-grandchild Anna Buscher, two brothers William and Harold Besler, and four sisters Irene Bush, Laura Rogers, Anna Oberfoell Linderwell, and Eva Sandhagen.
Pearl was born September 1, 1912, the daughter of John and Hannah (Cooksley) Besler, in Dubuque County, Iowa. Pearl was united in marriage on January 11, 1933 to Peter Johan Buscher in Galena, Illinois. She was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church.
Pearl was a caring and loving Mother and Grandmother. She enjoyed sewing, crossword puzzles and playing cards with her many friends. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Instead of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Mercy or to the Diabetes Association.

Janet M. Coy, 74, of Murrieta, CA. formerly of Cedar Rapids and West Union, died Friday, Feb. 27, 2004 at the Menefee Valley Hospital in Sun City, CA. after a long illness. Services at 1 PM on Friday at the Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. Burial at Cedar Memorial Park cemetery . Friends may call at the Cedar Memorial Funeral Home from 5 to 8 PM on Thursday and at the Chapel after noon on Friday.
Survivors include her husband, Otis, two daughters, Susan Wescott and her fiancé, Dean, of Cedar Rapids and Sally Ives of Hemet, CA., two sisters, Velma Wendling and Marvel Mershon and a brother, Virgil Theel. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Kim, Kip, Ken, Kris, Mike, Shelly, a step grandchild, Billy, and five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother and a sister.
Janet was born on Dec. 8, 1929 in Manchester, the daughter of Frederick and Marie Gienapp Theel. She married Otis Coy Jr. on July 3, 1959 in Cedar Rapids. Janet worked as a data processor for Iowa Manufacturing, Pen Ford and Harnischfeger. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary. Memorial donations may be given to the American Lung Association in Janet's name.

Gerald E. Barker, 76, of 3040 Ridgemore Dr. SE, died Friday, February 27, 2004, in Mercy Medical Center following a sudden illness. Services with military honors at 10:30 AM Tuesday in All Saints Catholic Church. Rev. Gerald Condon will officiate. Entombment in Cedar Memorial Park cemetery . Friends may call at Cedar Memorial Funeral Home from 5 to 7 PM on Monday and a wake service will begin at 7 PM.
Survivors include his wife Patricia, two sons Steven and wife Billie of Cedar Rapids, John and wife Jamie of Phoenix, two daughters Christa Carson and husband Michael of Solon, and Elizabeth McElrath and husband Dan of Anchorage, Alaska, a step-son Michael McConaughy of Dubuque, a brother Dr. Thomas Barker and wife Patsy of Virginia, a sister Sandra Walser and husband Kenneth of California, and 14 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Gerald was born December 15, 1927 in Cedar Rapids to Carl and Bertha Simmons Barker. He first married Anne Biddinger. They divorced. He married Patricia McConaughy on January 8, 1977 in Cedar Rapids. He was the business agent for Chapter 1 Local #3 Bricklayers Union of Iowa. He served in the US Navy during WW II. He was a member of All Saints Catholic Church, VFW Post No 788, and the Elks club.
Military honors by VFW Post No 788.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.

Burial: Bethel United Methodist Church cemetery in Wildwood, MO. Friends may call from 5 to 7 PM Sunday at Cedar Memorial Funeral Home. The Rev. Brian Milford of Lovely Lane United Methodist Church will officiate.
Surviving in addition to her husband Dean are four daughters, Linda Sears of Madison, MO, Donna McPherson of St. Louis, MO, Marjorie Conway of Mt. Vernon, IL, and Cindy Hale of Indianapolis, IN; and a sister, Ruth Carey of Cedar Rapids.
Also surviving are 10 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of donor's choice.
