Bobby Henry

Bobby L. Henry, 73, of Nekoma, Ill., died Tuesday at his home. Arrangements are pending at Peterson–Wallin–Knox Funeral Home in Woodhull, Ill.

Anna Mae Wagner

Anna Mae Rankin Wagner, 84, of Sutter County, Calif., died at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 2, 2005, at Woodland Memorial Hospital in Woodland, Calif.

Born July 20, 1920, in Warren County, Ill., she was the daughter of Charles and Elizabeth Rankin. On Dec. 11, 1943, she married Phillip Wagner in Galesburg, Ill.

Mrs. Wagner was raised and educated near Raritan, Ill. She moved to California in 1949.

Survivors include her husband of Sacramento, Calif.; one son, Paul Wagner of Yuba City, Calif.; one daughter, Pam Wagner of Sacramento; one grandson; one great–granddaughter; two sisters, Frances Overstreet of Cantril and Mildred Whitaker of LaGrange, Ky.; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister and one brother.

A graveside service for Mrs. Wagner will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Raritan Cemetery.

A memorial has been established for local animal shelters.

Corman Memorial Home in Roseville, Ill., is in charge of the arrangements.

Gladys Richardson

Gladys L. Richardson, 95, of Keokuk, formerly of Hamilton, Ill., died at 6:04 a.m. Monday, April 7, 2003, at River Hills Village in Keokuk.

Born Nov. 1, 1907, in Waterloo, she was the daughter of Donald R. and Margaret M. Bechler Witt. On Dec. 26, 1932, she married P. Dale Richardson in Warsaw, Ill. He died Dec. 8, 2001.

Mrs. Richardson was a retired school teacher.

She attended schools and college in South Dakota and Illinois. She attended United Methodist churches in Basco, Ill., and Hamilton.

Survivors include one daughter, Carrol L. Thurman of Warsaw; two sons, Warren Richardson of Nuremberg, Germany, and Rolland L. Richardson of Waukegan, Ill.; six grandchildren; and 10 great–grandchildren.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, one infant son; two sisters and one grandson.

Visitation will be Wednesday at DeJong's Funeral Home in Keokuk, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m.

A graveside service for Mrs. Richardson will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in South Basco Cemetery in Basco, with the Rev. Craig Burton officiating. A procession will leave the funeral home at 10:15 a.m. for the cemetery.

A memorial has been established for the donor's choice.

Dorothy Trump

Dorothy E. Trump, 86, of Kahoka, Mo., died Tuesday, April 12, 2005, at Keokuk Area Hospital.

Born Nov. 14, 1918, near Alexandria, Mo., she was the daughter of Oscar Ray and Bertha Neumann Sheffler. On Jan. 29, 1938, she married Karl Roland Trump. He died Feb. 28, 1993.

Mrs. Trump assisted her husband farming in Clark County and prior to establishment of the rural water district hauled water to the area for 60 years. For 45 years they also kept the track watered during horse races and other events at the Clark County Fair and assisted the local fire department when extra water was needed.

She was a 1937 graduate of Kahoka High School and member of St. Paul United Church of Christ in Kahoka, where she was a former secretary. She enjoyed raising chickens and selling eggs. She loved sports, basketball in particular, and was an avid Clark County Indian fan.

Survivors include two sons, Harold G. Trump of Luray, Mo., and Gary Trump of Kahoka; one daughter, Nancy Uhlmeyer of Alexandria; nine grandchildren; 18 great–grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, one grandson, one brother and one sister.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at Wilson Funeral Home in Kahoka, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m.

The funeral for Mrs. Trump will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Paul United Church of Christ in Kahoka, with the Rev. Kenneth Beckmann officiating. Burial will be in St. Paul Church Cemetery.

A memorial has been established for the St. Paul United Church of Christ elevator fund.

Cleo Koger

Cleo "Bea" Koger, 89, of Burlington died Friday, April 15, 2005, at Rosebush Gardens Health Center.

Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Lunning Chapel, where the family will receive friends from noon to 1:30 p.m.

The graveside service for Mrs. Koger will be 2 p.m. Tuesday in Burlington Memorial Park Cemetery.

Carl DeBoer

Carl Bernhardt DeBoer, 90, of Burlington died Friday, April 22, 2005, at Great River Medical Center in West Burlington. Service time and place will be announced later. Prugh Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.

Allen Winder

Allen Russell Winder, 85, of Lithonia, Ga., died following an extended illness Saturday, April 23, 2005, at Tucker Nursing Center in Tucker, Ga.

Born July 16, 1919, in Wapello, he was the son of Homer Howard and Lula Ann Murray Winder. On Oct. 27, 1946, he married Maryellen Blenner in Savanna, Ill.

He was a 1939 graduate of Wapello High School and attended Drake University in Des Moines before being drafted. He was a World War II Army veteran and served in Honolulu in the Army Corps of Engineers, reaching the rank of master sergeant. He was an Army administrative instructor at the Savanna Ordinance Depot in Savanna. He always considered Wapello his home and had a great love for Louisa County. He and his family relocated to Georgia and in 1972 became members of St. John's Lutheran Church in Atlanta.

Survivors include his wife; one son, Craig Winder of Davenport; one daughter, Maryanne Winder of Lithonia; two grandchildren; twin great–grandchildren; and nieces.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and one brother.

A memorial service for Mr. Winder will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 10, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Wapello, with the Rev. Chris Hinkle officiating. A private burial will be in Wapello Cemetery . Dudgeon–McCulley Funeral Home in Wapello is in charge of local arrangements.

The body has been cremated according to his wishes by Wages and Son's Funeral Home in Stone Mountain, Ga.

Effie Johnson

Effie Johnson, 100, of Donnellson died at 2:30 p.m. Friday, April 27, 2007, at the Donnellson Health Center.

Funeral services are pending at Schmitz–Lynk Funeral Home in Donnellson.

Orville M. Stewart

The Funeral Service for Mr. Orville M. Stewart, 84, will be 10:00 AM this morning in the Chapel of the Hass Funeral Home, with Chaplain Randy Gearhart officiating. Interment with full military honors rendered by the Veterans Honor Guard, VFW Posts 10102 and 9162, American Legion Post 52 and the Hamilton–Walters Marine Corps League will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery . A Photo Tribute Video can be viewed and condolences can be sent to the family by visiting Orville's obituary at www.hassfh.com.

Floyd W. Brayton

Floyd W. Brayton died Saturday, May 31, 2003, in Davenport. Arrangements are pending at King–Lynk Funeral Home.

Helen Inman

Helen G. Inman, 93, of Hamilton, Ill., died at 12:50 p.m. Wednesday, June 9, 2004, at Genesis West in Davenport. Arrangements are pending at Lamporte Funeral Home in Hamilton.

Bill Brown

Bill Bert Brown, 72, of Oakville, died Thursday morning, June 17, 2004, at Great River Medical Center in West Burlington.

Born April 11, 1932, in Louisa County, he was the son of Elias Henry and Phoebe Gertrude Marlette Brown. On Sept. 4, 1953, he married Zella M. Bowdre in Wapello.

Mr. Brown was a commercial fisherman throughout his life. He worked a few years for J.I. Case Co. and for many years with Standard Oil, operating a tank wagon and service station in Oakville.

He was an avid raccoon hunter and a St. Louis Cardinals fan. He loved and played softball and was a women's softball coach. In the 1970s, he was mayor of Oakville and worked hard with community improvements including the park and ball diamonds. He loved fishing.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Teresa Duke of Burlington and Susan Carlson of Lago Vista, Texas; two sons, Bill Henry Brown of Mount Pleasant and Glen Brown of Wapello; 12 grandchildren; two brothers, Marion Brown of Mediapolis and Jerry Brown of Houghton, N.Y.; and one half sister, Linda Yakle of Wapello.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his stepmother, one sister and one infant half sister.

There will be no visitation. His body has been cremated.

The graveside service for Mr. Brown will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Edwards Cemetery in Oakville.

Memorials have been established for St. Jude's Children's Hospital and the Animal Protection League of Southeastern Iowa.

Dudgeon–McCulley Funeral Home in Wapello is in charge of arrangements.

Cory Finton

Cory Finton, 23, of Keokuk, died Saturday, July 5, 2003, in Fulton County, Ill., as the result of a drowning accident. Funeral arrangements are pending at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk.

Barton Butler

Barton O. Butler Jr., 75, of Hamilton, Ill., died Tuesday, July 15, 2003, at Montebello Healthcare Center in Hamilton. Arrangements are pending at Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk.

Charles "Charlie" Larry Wasson Jr.

Charles "Charlie" Larry Wasson Jr., 45, of Burlington, died at 10:45 a.m. Friday, July 30, 2004, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics after a year's battle with acute myelocytic leukemia.

Born March 15, 1959, in Burlington, he was the son of Charles Wasson Sr. and Nancy Diewold Corman.

Charlie was a carpenter for 10 years before becoming disabled. He was educated in Danville and Burlington. He was a member of Harmony Bible Church.

He enjoyed doing things with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed boating, camping, working in his garage and decorating for holidays outside. He won second place in The Hawk Eye X–Mas Contest in 2001. He enjoyed woodworking and helping others and spending time with friends.

Survivors include his wife, Sheila Heath Wasson of Burlington; one stepdaughter, Shannon Reynolds of Burlington; one stepson, Tom Heath of Oxford; his father, Charles Wasson Sr. of Burlington; his mother, Nancy Diewold Corman of Mount Sterling; five grandchildren, Brendon, Alycia and Madison Reynolds, and Reagan and Hallie Heath; two brothers, Dewey Wasson of Carlisle, Ky., and Ed Wasson of Burlington; one sister, Melody Brewer of Mount Sterling.

Charlie's funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. August 4, 2004, at Harmony Bible Church in Danville with Deacon Danny Dingus officiating. The body has been cremated.

A memorial has been established.
