James `Jim' Koprucki
James ``Jim" Koprucki, 85, Bettendorf, died Tuesday, Aug. 8, 2000, at Genesis West, Davenport.

Services are 10 a.m. Saturday at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic, Bettendorf. Burial is in Mt. Calvary cemetery , Davenport. Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Friday at Weerts Funeral Home, with a vigil service at 7:30. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Genesis Visiting Nurses Association, Quad-City Ostomy Association or the church.

He was born Jan. 26, 1915, in Milwaukee, Wis., to Vincent and Anna Hamerski Koprucki. He married Aileen Finn Aug. 17, 1940, in Davenport.

Surviving are his wife; children, Nancy Peterson, Algonquin, Ill., Richard, Taylor Ridge, John, Algonquin, and Michael, Woodbury, Minn.; eight grandchildren; and brother, Robert. He was preceded by a sister and a brother.

Gerald Linenberger
Gerald Linenberger, 60, Davenport, died Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2000, at home following an extended illness.

Arrangements are pending at McGinnis, Chambers & Sass Funeral Home, Bettendorf.

Frances Reed
Services for Frances A. Reed, 90, Davenport, are 10 a.m. Friday at Halligan-McCabe-DeVries, Davenport. Burial is in Fairmount cemetery , Davenport.

Visitation 4-7 p.m. today.

She died Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2000, at home.

She was born March 23, 1910, in Moline, to Edward and Minnie Laughlin Glasgow.

Survivors include her husband, Fred; daughter, Mary Sieverding, a son, John, grandsons, Richard and Randy Schutters, Heath Reed and Chris Sieverding, a granddaughter, Christina Stroud, all of Davenport; and five great-grandchildren.

Rhea Sampson
Rhea Marie Sampson, 53, Davenport, died Tuesday, Aug. 8, 2000, at Genesis Medical Center, West Campus, Davenport.

Services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Weerts Funeral Home, Davenport. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. today. Memorials to Arrowhead Ranch.

Rhea Boylan was born May 23, 1947, in Des Moines, Iowa, to Robert and Peggy Vanderhoof Boylan. She married Richard Sampson Oct. 25, 1974, in Des Moines.

She worked for the President Riverboat Casino in accounts payable for seven years.

Survivors include her husband, Richard; sons, Chris Henderson, Moline, and Scott Sampson, Joliet; her parents, Robert M. and Peggy Boylan, Davenport; a sister, Pam Lees, Bettendorf; a brother, Robert Boylan Jr., Charlotte, Iowa; six nieces and six nephews.

Philip Walters
Philip D. Walters, 32, of 1306 Harrison Drive, Clinton, Iowa, died Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2000, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City.

Arrangements are pending at Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home, Morrison.

Roy Wolbers
Roy William Wolbers, 79, Davenport, died Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2000, at Genesis West, Davenport.

Cremation rites have been accorded. Prayers will be recited 10:30 a.m. Friday at Halligan-McCabe-DeVries, Davenport. Graveside services will follow at National cemetery , Arsenal Island.

He was born Feb. 3, 1921, in Otter Creek, Iowa, to Bernard and Catherine Hutchins Wolbers. He married Marie Meyers Nov. 13, 1944, in Davenport.

He had been employed as a maintenance engineer for Johnson Manufacturing Co., Princeton, Iowa, for 13 years.

Survivors include his wife, Marie; a son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Marcia Wolbers, Bettendorf; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mary Margaret Theisen, Dubuque, Iowa.

David Clifton
David L. Clifton, 56, of 909 Washington St., Prophetstown, died Saturday, Jan. 20, 2001, at his home.

Graveside services are 11 a.m. Wednesday at Oak Knoll Memorial Park cemetery , Sterling. Visitation is 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and 9 to 10 a.m. Wednesday at Gardner-Gibson and Son Funeral Home, Prophetstown. Memorials go to Hospice of the Rock River Valley.

He was born Dec. 13, 1944, in Rock Falls to Warren and Dorothy Graves Clifton.

He worked at Commonwealth Edison Co., retiring in 1996. He was the sole member of the Schlitz Club, Prophetstown.

Survivors include daughter, Lisa Billett, Island Lake, Ill.; son, Lee, Rock Falls; three grandchildren; and a brother, Richard, Sterling. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Robert Curran
Robert Curran, 82, Hillcrest Home, Geneseo, formerly of Neponset, Ill., died Jan. 21, 2001, at the home.

Services are 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Patrick's Catholic, Sheffield, Ill. Burial is in St. Patrick's cemetery . Visitation is 9:30 a.m. to service time at the church. Rux Funeral Home, Kewanee, handled arrangements.

He was born Aug. 28, 1918, in Buda to Dr. Robert and Mildred Coggins Curran.

Survivors include a brother, Eugene, Kewanee, and sisters, Patricia Frohoff, Menifee Valley, Calif., Dolores Clark, St. Louis, and Barbara Golby, Neponset.

Tyler Peppers
Services for Tyler H. Peppers, infant son of Troy and Natacha Peppers, 11496 Ward Road, Morrison, are 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Morrison. Burial is in Grove Hill cemetery , Morrison.

Visitation is 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Morrison Chapel of Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home.

He died Friday, Jan. 19, 2001, at Rockford Memorial Hospital.

He was born Dec. 29, 2000, in Rockford.

Survivors, in addition to his parents, include a brother, Lucas, at home; grandparents, Cindy Truitt, Morrison, Lee Truitt, Dixon, Ill., and Jack and Diane Peppers, Morrison; and great-grandparents, Robert and Marian Landheer, Morrison, Rosie Truitt, Roundup, Mont., Loretta Stern, Sterling, Marian Shepard, Morrison, and Ivey Peppers, Rock Falls.

Ivan Peterson
Services for Ivan C. Peterson, 97, Andover, are 11 a.m. today at Augustana Lutheran Church, Andover, with the Rev. Lynn Bergren officiating. Burial is in Andover cemetery .

Visitation was Sunday at Kirk, Huggins and Esterdahl Funeral Home Ltd., Orion. Memorials may be made in honor of Ivan to Augustana Lutheran Church, Jenny Lind Chapel, or the Andover Historical Society.

He died Friday, Jan. 19, 2001, at Illini Hospital, Silvis.

Ivan was born Dec. 20, 1903, in Andover, the son of August and Elanora Charlson Peterson. He married Florence O. Johnson June 29, 1935, in Andover.

Ivan retired in 1973 from the Mercer County ASCS as district manager. He also farmed and was employed at the Farmall plant in Rock Island. He had several jobs in his life, but farming was one from which he never retired.

Ivan was a lifelong member of Augustana Lutheran Church. He enjoyed gardening and sports.

Survivors (and spouses) are his wife, Florence; sons, Ron (Eilene) Peterson and Dave (Debbie) Peterson, all of Andover; grandsons, Craig (Doris) Peterson, Sycamore, Ill., and David Peterson Jr., Andover; granddaughters, Laura (Brad) Rickey, Geneseo, and Mandy Peterson, Andover; great-granddaughter, Allison Rickey, Geneseo; several nieces and nephews; and a sister-in-law, Mabelle Eiker, Woodhull. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister.

Dean Tracy
Dean Edward Tracy, 76, of 208 S. Coconut Palm, Tavernier, Fla., died Friday, Jan. 19, 2001, at home.

Services are 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Schueneman-Tumbleson Funeral Home, Kewanee. Burial is in Evergreen Memory Gardens, rural Kewanee.

Visitation is 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, with Masonic rites at 8 p.m. by Wyoming Masonic Lodge.

He was born Sept. 19, 1924, in Castleton, Ill., to William and Ida Osborn Tracy. He married Irma Kellington in 1943. They divorced in 1985.

He was a farmer and DeKalb Seed Corn dealer. He was a member of Wyoming Methodist Church.

Survivors include sons, Walter, Canton, Ill., Gary, rural Sparland, Ill., and Paul, Castleton, Ill.; three grandsons; a sister, Glenda Hegwood, Morrison; and his companion of many years, Marjorie Cox.

Donald Wood
Donald Wood, 80, of 597 E. 4th St., Galesburg, died Saturday, Jan. 20, 2001, at Cottage Hospital, Galesburg.

Services are 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at Watson Funeral Home, Galesburg. Burial is in East Linwood cemetery , Galesburg. Visitation is 10:30 a.m. to service time. Memorials go to the Juvenile Diabetes Association.

He was born July 18, 1920, in Cuba, Ill., to Otis and Edith Motsinger Wood. He married Norma Kippling Nov. 10, 1945, in Galesburg.

Survivors include his wife; sons, James, Sherrard, John, Galesburg, and Gary, Salisbury, N.C.; six grandchildren; a great-grandchild; a brother, Melvin Woods, Canton, Ill.; and a sister, Louise Anderson, Galesburg. He was preceded by a son, Richard, in 1999.

Arline Bickford
Arline F. Bickford, 80, Davenport, died Sunday, Jan. 21, 2001, at home.

Services are 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church. Visitation is 3 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home, Davenport, where further arrangements are pending.

Harland Bleitz
Services for Harland Bleitz, 92, Davenport, are 10 a.m. Tuesday at West Park Presbyterian, Davenport. Burial is in Davenport Memorial Park.

Visitation is 4 to 7 p.m. today at Runge Mortuary. He died Jan. 19, 2001, in Davenport.

He was born April 10, 1908, in Whiteside County. He married Cleo Cave in 1936 in Salina, Iowa. She died in 1998.

Survivors include sons, Fred, Zeeland, Mich., and Doug, Davenport; a daughter, Beverly Fuller, Davenport; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three stepgreat-grandchildren; and a sister, Audrey Cocking, Erie.

Beverly Gerboth
Services for Beverly Gerboth, 47, LeClaire, Iowa, are 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at LeClaire Baptist Church. Burial is in Davenport Memorial Park.

Visitation is 3 to 5 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Weerts Funeral Home, Davenport.

She died Saturday, Jan. 20, 2001, at Genesis West, Davenport.

She was born March 22, 1953, in Omaha, Neb., to Alvin and Dorothea Phipps Hohndorf.

She was an elementary school teacher in the Quad-Cities area.

Survivors include her husband, Brian; daughters, Ruth, Rose, Sharon, Holly, and Frieda, all at home; sons, Paul and Harry, both at home; sisters, Barbara Wood, Saginaw, Mich., and Darlene Hicks, Omaha; a brother, Wayne Hohndorf, Omaha; and her parents, Omaha. She was preceded by a brother, Jerald, in 2000.

Inez Glick
Inez Alta Glick, 87, Orangeburg, S.C., died Friday, Jan. 19, 2001, in Orangeburg.

Graveside services are 11 a.m. Wednesday at Davenport Memorial Park. There is no visitation. Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Regional Medical Center, Orangeburg. Runge Mortuary, Davenport, is in charge of local arrangements.

She was born Dec. 9, 1913, in Davenport to Clarence and Ida May Warren Vaughn.

Survivors include three grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.

Neva Hamann
Neva Hamann, 81, Davenport, died Sunday, Jan. 21, 2001, at Trinity Medical Center, North Campus, Davenport.

Arrangements are pending at Weerts Funeral Home, Davenport.

Robert Meeker
Services for Robert D. Meeker, 60, Davenport, are 10 a.m. Tuesday at Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home, Davenport. Burial is in Davenport Memorial Park.

Visitation is 4 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the family.

He died Saturday, Jan. 20, 2001, at Trinity Medical Center, West Campus, Rock Island.

He was born May 24, 1940, in Centerville, Iowa, to Robert W. and Dorothy Genevieve Parker Meeker. He married Mary Rita Gravert Nov. 8, 1969, in Davenport.

He was employed as a sheet-metal journeyman for the Rock Island Arsenal. He was a veteran of the United States Army.

His greatest joy was his grandson, Bradley. He enjoyed country-western music and was president of the Country Western Music Association. He played steel guitar in several local bands. He was a member of Bettendorf Masonic Hamilton Lodge.

Survivors include his wife, Mary ``Rita" Meeker, Davenport; sons, Robert D. Meeker and his wife, Laurel, Surprise, Ariz., Brian Meeker and his wife, Laura, Bloomfield, Iowa, and Jeff Meeker and Beth Abhalter, Davenport; grandchildren, Bradley and Dakota; and a sister, Marilyn Lampe, Lakewood, Colo. He was preceded in death by his parents.
