Dawn Osborn
Dawn Osborn, 52, of Annawan, died Sunday, March 26, 2006, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 29, at Vandemore Funeral Home, Atkinson. The Rev. Terry Lancaster and the Rev. Dan Wright will officiate. Burial will be in Mineral cemetery , Mineral. Visitation will be 3 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorials may be left to the Dawn Osborn Memorial Fund.

Dawn was born Feb. 26, 1954, in Chicago, daughter of Laurence "Pete" and Helen DeSplinter Atwell. She was a 1972 graduate of Atkinson High School. Dawn married William "Ozzie" Osborn April 22, 1972, in Atkinson.

She was a licensed day-care provider for more than 20 years in Annawan. Dawn was a member of Annawan Community Church, Annawan. She was a die-hard Chicago Cubs fan, enjoyed gardening, baking and loved animals.

Survivors include her husband, William "Ozzie;" four daughters and husbands, Kelly and Michael Randall, Annawan, Courtney and Jeremy Seibers, Morton, Ill., Amber Osborn, Mineral, Nichole Osborn, at home; five grandchildren, Kirsten, Paige and Reese Randall and Logan and Natalie Seibers; her parents, Laurence "Pete" and Helen Atwell, Atkinson; her mother-in-law, Viola Osborn, Mineral; two brothers and wives, Cory and Eileen Atwell, New Lenox, Ill., Todd and Julie Atwell, Auburn, Ill.; three sisters and husband, Laurie and Steve Litteriello, Homer Glen, Ill., Betsy Benson, Crestwood, Ill., Nancy Wiersma, Crestwood; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Linda and Bruce Carter. She was preceded in death by her sister, Christine Hand.

Delphia Johnson Wells
Delphia Johnson Wells, 88, of Cambridge, died Monday, March 27, 2006, at her home.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, March 30, at the Cambridge Chapel of Stackhouse-Moore Funeral Services. The Rev. Jerry Rafalko will officiate. Burial will be in Rosedale cemetery , Cambridge. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday. Memorials may be made to the Delphia Wells Memorial Fund.

The former Delphia Dorothy Cox was born March 12, 1918, in Richland, Iowa, daughter of David and Anna Snowbarger Cox. She graduated from Richland High School in 1937. Her marriage to Byrle Cosner Jr. took place in 1937. She married Gunnard V. Johnson on April 3, 1943, in Kahoka, Mo. He died Oct. 19, 1975. She then married Ollen W. Wells on March 3, 1979, in Fordland, Mo. The couple had a truck garden for more than 20 years, selling produce to customers all over Springfield, Mo. Ollen died in January 2004.

Delphia lived and worked on a farm all of her life. She was a member of Cambridge United Methodist Church. Her hobbies were cooking, gardening and reading.

Surviving are daughters and a son-in-law, Jean Kane, Cambridge, Jolene Thurston, St. Louis, Mo., Jacki and Lonnie Meinders, Dunlap, Ill.; and a stepson and his wife, Joe and Lois Johnson, Kewanee. Also surviving are granddaughters and their husbands, Sandy and Bruce Hull, Cambridge, Cheri King and Bill Gibson, San Antonio, Texas, Laurie and Eric Luttner, St. Louis; stepgranddaughters and husband, Debbie and Pete Vandersnick, Orion, Amy Meinders, Creve Coeur, Ill., Ann Meinders, East Peoria, Ill., and Allison Meinders, Creve Coeur; grandsons and their wives, Tim and Chris Kane, Cambridge, Kevin and Angie Huber, Peoria, Randy and Irene Thurston, Virginia Beach, Va., Victor Thurston, St. Louis; stepgrandsons and their wives, David Johnson, Moline, Dennis and Sue Johnson, Port Byron, Daniel and Jane Johnson, Newton, Iowa, Douglas Johnson, Cambridge, Edward Neilsen, Stuart, Fla.; 17 great-grandchildren; five stepgreat-grandchildren; and five stepgreat-great-grandchildren. She is survived by two sisters, Loriene Spanier, Fairfield, Iowa, Velma Ehrick, Springfield; and a brother and sister-in-law, Ted and Ethel Cox, Bushnell, Ill. Her husbands, a stepdaughter, four brothers and three sisters preceded her in death.

Ron Engel
Ron Engel, 49, of Davenport, died Friday, March 24, 2006.

Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Weerts Funeral Home, Davenport, where the family will greet friends one hour prior.

Survivors (and spouses) include his sisters, Shelly (Brian) Besse and Kim (Doug) Riffle; and a niece and nephews.

Jack Feddersen
Jack H. Feddersen, 77, of Davenport, died Sunday, March 26, 2006, at Genesis West, Davenport.

Private family burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park. A luncheon for family and friends will be 3 p.m. Thursday, March 30, at the Knights of Columbus Hall, Davenport. Runge Mortuary, Davenport, is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to the family.

He was born Feb. 12, 1929, in Davenport. He married Betty Arbogast April 15, 1948, in Davenport. She preceded him in death in 1998.

Surviving are sons, Gary, Clearwater, Fla., Keith, Clinton, Iowa, and Joseph, Bettendorf; daughters and son-in-law, Kathy and Mike Thomas, Davenport, Wanda Holderfield, Davenport; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brothers and sisters. He was preceded in death by daughter, Rita.

Hugo Gamber
Hugo R. Gamber, 89, of Clearwater, Fla., formerly of Davenport, died Sunday, March 26, 2006, in Florida.

Arrangements are pending at Runge Mortuary, Davenport.

Joanne Geerts
Services for Charlotte Joanne Geerts, 71, of Davenport, are 10 a.m. Thursday, March 30, at St. Anthony's Catholic, Davenport.

Burial is in Davenport Memorial Park. Visitation is 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Halligan-McCabe-DeVries, Davenport, with a prayer service at 5 p.m.

Joanne passed away unexpectedly Saturday, March 25, 2006, in her home.

She was born July 30, 1934, in Davenport, to Andrew B. and Magdeline Lucky Cunningham.

Surviving are son and daughter-in-law, Rick and Lola Geerts, LeClaire; three grandsons; and three great-grandchildren.

Steven Krulik
Steven J. Krulik, 59, of Davenport, died Sunday, March 26, 2006, at Genesis Medical Center, East Campus, Davenport.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday, March 30, at DeRoo Funeral Home, Moline. Visitation is 3 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial is in St. Mary's cemetery , East Moline. Memorials may be made to the Good Samaritan Center, Davenport.

Steven was born Aug. 17, 1946, in Moline, son of Simon and Julia Van Damme Krulik. He married Margo Gard June 7, 1969, in Rock Island.

Steven was vice president of purchasing at Koehler Electric, Davenport, for 38 years. He was a volunteer for the Annual Good Samaritan Golf Outing and was an organizer for the Annual Electrical Institute Golf Outing. Steven was an avid golfer and beloved husband and father.

Survivors include his wife, Margo; daughter and son-in-law, Tracy and Alexander Osheroff, Seattle, Wash.; son, Scott Krulik, Davenport; brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Carrie Krulik, Davenport. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Daniel Marrufo
Daniel Alejandro Marrufo, one-month-old son of Luis and Danielle Ragusi Marrufo, Davenport, died March 25, 2006, in Davenport.

Services are 10 a.m. Wednesday at Runge, Davenport. Visitation is one hour prior. Burial is in Oakdale cemetery , Davenport.

He was born Feb. 2, 2006, in Davenport.

Surviving are his parents; brother, Luis Marrufo Jr., Davenport; maternal grandparents, Morgan Snook and Thomas Ragusi, both, Davenport; paternal grandparents, Esperanza Marrufo and Ernesto Lucero, both Mexico; godparents, Manuel Aleman and Carmen Cisneros.

Ruby McDuffie
Ruby F. McDuffie, 78, of Davenport, died Sunday, March 26, 2006.

Donald Meier
Donald Lee Meier, 68, Davenport, died Sunday, March 26, 2006, at Genesis West, Davenport.

Services are 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at Runge, Davenport, with visitation 9:30 a.m. to services. Burial is in Davenport Memorial Park.

He was born Aug. 21, 1937, in Davenport, to Herman and Marie Laukusky Meier. He married Connie Benton April 24, 1958.

Survivors (and spouses) are wife; children, Donny Meier, Davenport, Jody (Terry) Henry, Eldridge, Becky (Mike) Heiser, Bettendorf, Nancy (John) Brummel, Durant, Kim Macumber, Long Grove; 10 grandchildren; six siblings.

Norma `Norkie' Rindler
Norma "Norkie" Rindler, 80, of Bettendorf, died Monday, March 27, 2006, at her home.

Services are 1 p.m. Wednesday at Weerts, Davenport. Visitation is 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home. Burial is in Davenport Memorial Park.

She was born Feb. 20, 1926, in Colfax, Iowa, to Emanuel and Anna Dluhos Kvasny. She married Walter "Doc" A. Rindler Jan. 10, 1969. He died Oct. 25, 1994.

Surviving are daughter, Cheryl Ann Oliver, Davenport; son, Maynard K. (wife, Deborah) Rindler, Bettendorf; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Rachel Roberts
Rachel F. Roberts, 57, of Davenport, died Sunday, March 26, 2006, at Genesis West, Davenport.

Services are 1 p.m. Wednesday at Runge, Davenport. Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. today. Burial is in Pine Hill cemetery , Davenport.

She was born May 5, 1948, in Columbiana, Ala., to Parish and Lena Hughes. She married Lee on Sept. 5, 1964.

Survivors (and spouses) are her husband; daughter, Bonnie (Lance) Howard, Davenport; son, Donnie (Daria) Roberts, Moline; five grandchildren; siblings, Clyde (Betty) Hughes, Chiefland, Fla., Bernice (Monte) Burmeister, Frances (Charles) Appleby, both Davenport.

Shari Schlemmer
Shari L. Schlemmer, 55, of Davenport, died Monday, March 27, 2006, at Genesis, West, Davenport.

Services are 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Runge, Davenport. Visitation is 5 to 8 p.m. today. Burial is at a later date in Davenport Memorial Park.

She was born June 4, 1950, to Denzil and Betty Parish. She married Bill Schlemmer in 1978.

Surviving are her husband; sons, Shawn and Scott Schlemmer; daughter, Stacy Schlemmer; daughters-in-law, Heather Nebinger and Sue Brown; six grandchildren; a great-grandchild; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Larry and Janet Schlemmer.

Maurine Sofranko
Services for Sister Maurine Sofranko, CHM, 95, resident of Bishop Drumm Care Center, Johnston, Iowa, are 11 a.m. Thursday at Humility of Mary Chapel, Davenport.

Burial is in Mount Calvary cemetery , Davenport. Visitation is 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Humility of Mary Center, with a rosary at 4 p.m. and a Christian wake service at 7 p.m. Arrangements are by Halligan-McCabe-DeVries, Davenport.

She died March 26, 2006, at Bishop Drumm Care Center.

She was born Oct. 23, 1910, to John and Veronica Sofranko.

Surviving are brother, Gerald Sofranko, Lovilia, Iowa.
