Marjorie M. Conway, 89, of Davenport, died Sunday, June 24, 2007, at Genesis East, Davenport.

Memorial services are 7 p.m. today at Cunnick-Collins, Davenport. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary cemetery , Davenport. The family will greet friends from 6:30 p.m. until service time at the mortuary.

She was born Oct. 16, 1917. She married Charles Conway on Jan. 10, 1942. He died in 1978.

Surviving are daughter, Charlene Mueller, Apache Jct., Ariz.; son, Michael, Olathe, Kan.; eight grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Amy Duyvejonck
Amy C. Duyvejonck, 28, of Eldridge, died Sunday, June 24, 2007, in Milan.

Arrangements are pending at Cunnick-Collins Mortuary and Cremation Service, Davenport.

Margaret `Peggy' Fry
Margaret K. "Peggy" Fry, 88, a resident of Good Samaritan Nursing Home, Davenport, died Monday, June 25, 2007, at the nursing home.

Funeral arrangements are pending at DeRoo Funeral Home, Moline.

Benny Hyslope
Benny D. Hyslope, 78, of Davenport, died Monday, June 25, 2007, at his home.

Arrangements are pending at Weerts Funeral Home in Davenport.

Alice Lord
Alice L. Lord, 74, of Davenport, died Sunday, June 24, 2007, at Genesis Medical Center, West Campus, Davenport.

Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Thursday, June 28, at Fairmount cemetery , Davenport. Memorials may be made to the family. McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home, Bettendorf, is assisting the family with arrangements.

Alice was born Dec. 25, 1932, in Ottumwa, Iowa, the daughter of Lloyd and Vivian Nichols Leedom. She was united in marriage to John W. "Jack" Lord on Nov. 5, 1949, in Ottumwa. He preceded her in death on July 16, 2000.

Alice was primarily a homemaker in later years. She enjoyed bowling, fishing, golfing and was a fan of the Chicago Bears.

Those left to honor her memory include her daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Gary Hodgson, Rock Island; her son, Terry Lord, Davenport; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; her sisters, Colleen Shewry, Ottumwa, and Judy (spouse, Danny) Ramirez, Columbus, Ohio; her brother, Mike (Donna) Leedom, Rock Island; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Jack, she was preceded in death by her son, John, in 1995.

Margaret Bridgens Rostenbach
Margaret Bridgens Rostenbach, 97, of Bethesda, Md., formerly of Davenport, died Monday, June 25, 2007, in Bethesda.

Arrangements are pending at Weerts Funeral Home, Davenport.

Richard Sodawasser
Richard L. Sodawasser, 54, of Davenport, died June 24, 2007, at Genesis East, Davenport.

Services are 10 a.m. Wednesday at Holy Family Catholic, Davenport. Burial is in National cemetery , Arsenal Island. Visitation is 4-7 p.m. today at Halligan-McCabe-DeVries, Davenport, with a 6:30 p.m. prayer service.

He was born July 22, 1952.

Surviving are his wife, Judy, Davenport; children, Brent, Ashley, Davenport; one granddaughter; one soon-to-be granddaughter; mother, Georgia, Rock Falls, Ill.; siblings, Tim, Judy March, Kathy Green, Randy, Gary, all Illinois.

Jacklyn Weldy
Jacklyn L. Weldy, 74, of Davenport, died June 24, 2007, at Genesis West, Davenport.

Services are 1 p.m. Wednesday at Halligan-McCabe-DeVries, Davenport. Honoring her wish, cremation rites will be accorded after services. Visitation is 4-6 p.m. today at the funeral home. Private burial will take place at a later date.

She was born Nov. 5, 1932, to Marion Ernest and Lillian Emma Brandenburg Bumann. She married Delbert Weldy Jr. in 1950. He preceded her in death.

Surviving are children, Rennae Weldy Baddgor and Cindy Weldy Linnabery, Delbert "Buddy" Weldy III, John Weldy and Ray Weldy; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; sisters, Norma McCrea, Fulton, Donna Grinnall and Janice Kunavich, both of Clinton, Iowa.

Dorothy Brasmer
Dorothy M. Brasmer, 85, of Rock Island, died Sunday, June 24, 2007, at Trinity Medical Center, West Campus, Rock Island.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 27, at Westside Assembly of God, 3908 W. River Drive, Davenport. Visitation is from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, 6601 38th Ave., Moline. Burial is in National cemetery , Arsenal Island. Memorials may be made to Westside Assembly of God.

Dorothy was born July 8, 1921, in Moline, the daughter of Carl and Lois Reig Flodeen. She married David G. Brasmer on May 17, 1946, in Moline.

Dorothy was employed as a retail clerk for Zayre's Department Store, last working in 1983.

She was a member of Westside Assembly of God, and a former Sunday school teacher at Moline Gospel Temple. Dorothy was also a telephone operator for Bus Ministry. She enjoyed reading and needlepoint.

Survivors (and spouses) include husband, David, Rock Island; son, John (Connie) Brasmer, East Moline; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother, Bud (Joanne) Flodeen, Sun City, Fla.; sister, Betty Anderson, Moline. She was preceded in death by her mother and father.

Thomas Tingle Jr.
Thomas G. Tingle Jr., 68, of Rock Island, died Sunday, June 24, 2007, at Trinity Pathway Hospice, Bettendorf.

Arrangements are pending at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, 3030 7th Ave., Rock Island.

Albert Wassenhove
Albert Wassenhove, 90, of Rock Island, died Saturday, June 23, 2007, at Oak Glen Home, Coal Valley.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at St. Pius Church, Rock Island. Further arrangements are pending with DeRoo Funeral Home, Moline.

Marjorie L. "Midge" Wilson, 85, of Rock Island, died Saturday, June 23, 2007, in Stamford, Conn.

Diane Brundies
Diane Brundies, 53, of East Moline, died Sunday, June 24, 2007, at her home surrounded by her family.

Arrangements are pending at Van Hoe Funeral Home, East Moline.

Anna Foster
Anna L. Holt Foster, 78, of East Moline, died June 23, 2007, at Illini Restorative Care Center, Silvis.

Services are 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 26, at Countryside Christian Church in Port Byron. Visitation is 4-7 p.m. today at Schroder Mortuary in Silvis. Burial will be in National cemetery , Arsenal Island. Memorials may be made to the church.

She was born Oct. 21, 1928, in Shawnee, Okla., to Claude and Anna Moore Rushing. She married Clinton D. "Jack" Holt in June of 1953 in Benton, Ark. He preceded her on March 7, 1985. She later married Burton Foster Feb. 14, 1993. He preceded her in death June 12, 2007.

Survivors (and spouses) include daughters, Anda (Tip) Price, Geneseo, Catherine (Jessie) Bryette, Jasper, Ind.; sons, Doyle (Janet) Stewart, Hampton; stepsons, Ron Foster, Rock Island, Clint Foster; sister, Mary Anderson, Batesville, Ark.; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.

Paulette Rounds
Paulette R. Rounds, 57, of East Moline, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer in Aitkin, Minn., on June 18, 2007.

Memorial services will be 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 26, at DeRoo Funeral Home, Moline. Memorials may be made to the Rock Island County Humane Society.

The former Paulette Rene Ihde was born in Grand Forks, N.D., on May 28, 1950, the daughter of Walter and Jenny Nelson Ihde. As a toddler, she moved with her family to Bemidji, Minn. She attended JW Smith School and spent her times away from school at her grandparent's farm in Liberty Township, northwest of Bemidji. Later she moved with her family and graduated from high school in Oakville, Iowa.

Paulette married her soulmate, Jerry Rounds, on Oct. 29, 1993, in Moline. Throughout all of life's challenges, they were life-long partners and faced each challenge head-on together.

Paulette earned her living as a beautician and was known in the community for her cuteness and her wonderful sense of humor. She later worked at Dollar General in Milan as the assistant manager.

She enjoyed fishing on Deere Lake, near Bemidji and Ripple Lake, in Aitkin with her husband and their dog, Abby. Abby was their favorite pet Party Cocker Spaniel, which they had for 17 years. She loved her gardens and took such pride in growing beautiful flowers. She was also a member of the East End Boulder Club in Moline. Paulette's hugs and her wonderful sense of humor have brought so many tremendous memories to her family and friends.

Paulette will be missed by her husband, Jerry, East Moline; her mother, Jen, Moline; her brother, Bob (spouse, Linda) Ihde, Aitkin, Minn.; uncle, Bill (Elaine) Ihde, Bemidji; aunt, Reva Ruh, Andover, Minn.; aunt, Janice Nelson, Imperial Beach, Calif.; aunt, Eva Clemmer, McMinnvilee, Ore.; one stepdaughter; one niece; one nephew; a special cousin, Tina (Bill) Siems, Bemidji; plus many other cousins. Paulette was preceded in death by her loving father, Walter Ihde, in 1985; her brother, Patrick Ihde, in 1997; paternal grandparents, Henry and Hazel Ihde; and maternal grandparents, Henry and Esther Nelson.

Aten `Tom' Thompson
Aten W. "Tom" Thompson Jr., 62, of Silvis, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, June 24, 2007, of a heart attack while sleeping at home.

Arrangements are pending at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Moline.

David Bohart
David S. Bohart, 66, of Geneseo, passed away on Saturday, June 23, 2007, at the Hammond-Henry Hospital, Geneseo.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Malachy's Catholic Church, Geneseo. The Rev. Michael Pakula will celebrate. Burial will be in the St. Anthony's cemetery , Atkinson. Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Vandemore Funeral Home, Geneseo, where the rosary will be recited at 6:45 p.m. Memorials may be left to the David S. Bohart Memorial Fund.

Dave was born on Sept. 22, 1940, in Peoria, Ill., the son of Irene Bohart. He attended Abilities Plus in Kewanee for many years. He had been employed at the Eddie Klavohn farm in rural Geneseo for many years as a farm hand. He also worked at the Hulting and Sieben Hybrids Seed Corn Companies in Geneseo doing seasonal work for several years.

Dave was a member of the St. Malachy's Catholic Church, Geneseo and the Geneseo Moose Lodge No. 990. He really enjoyed having coffee at Ampride with his friends.

Survivors include his aunt and uncle, Mary Ellen and Tony Abell, Geneseo; three half-sisters, Suzanne Heiting, Mendota, Ill., Nancy Summers, Yorkville, Ill., Ramona Mason, Morganfield, Ky.; and many loving cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother and a half-brother, Steve VanCauwenberg.

Betty Mead
Betty Zane Mead, 70, of New Boston, died Saturday, June 23, 2007, at her home.

Services are 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 27, at New Boston United Methodist Church. Burial is in New Boston cemetery . Visitation is 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 26, at the church. Dennison Funeral Home, Aledo, is handling arrangements. Memorials may be made to the family.

She was born Sept. 5, 1936, in rural New Boston, to Sal and Mable Jebb Leith. She married Leo Mead in 1956 in New Boston.

Betty was a homemaker and also a custodian for the Westmer School District retiring in the early 1970s.

She enjoyed sports, was a Cubs fan, had played softball, and liked to do crossword puzzles.

Survivors (and spouse) include husband, Leo Mead, New Boston; one daughter, Leah Mitchell, New Boston; two grandchildren, Stephanie Holliday (fiance, Chad Sedam), New Boston, Adrian (Levi) Kilburn, Hannibal, Mo.; five great-grandchildren, Rachel, Nathan, Ericka, Gage and Jared.; one brother, Denny Leith, New Boston; aunt, Ella Catherine Green, New Boston. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Roger Leith; daughter, Kim Mead; aunt, Marjorie Janney.

Mark Meirhaeghe
Mark A. Meirhaeghe, 49, of Woodhull, died Sunday, June 24, 2007, at Genesis Medical Center, Illini Campus, Silvis.

Arrangements are pending at Peterson-Wallin-Knox Funeral Home, Woodhull.
