MAQUOKETA, Iowa -- Phillip H. Clark, of Maquoketa, died Wednesday, Nov. 10, 1999, at University Hospitals, Iowa City. Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Carson & Son Funeral and Cremation Services, Maquoketa. Visitation is noon until service time. Burial will be at a later date in Streets Cemetery , rural Maquoketa. Mr. Clark was employed many years as a truck driver at the former Stickle Feeds, now Food Waste Solutions. He was born April 28, 1957, in Maquoketa. He married Mary Burkey in 1975 in Maquoketa. Memorials may be made to the Phillip H. Clark Memorial Fund. Survivors include his wife; daughters, Teresa Orsborne, Maquoketa, and Kathy Maxwell, Zwingle; sons, Kevin, Maquoketa, and Jamie, Wheatland; eight grandchildren; sisters, Carolyn Nims, Andrew, Marilyn Grekoff, Maquoketa, and Ellen Clark, Preston; and brothers, Ezra, Lucky, Marvin and Marty, all of Maquoketa, Randy, Preston, and Alvin, Monmouth.

Richard Ysidron
MUSCATINE, Iowa -- Services for Richard Ysidron, of Muscatine, will be 11 a.m. Friday at Nichols Chapel Hill Funeral Home and Crematory, Muscatine. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery , Muscatine. Visitation is 3-7 p.m. today at the funeral home. Mr. Ysidron died Tuesday, Nov. 9, 1999, at Unity Hospital, Muscatine. He retired as a supervisor at H.J. Heinz Co., Muscatine. He was born Aug. 31, 1923, in Tampa, Fla. He married Edna Chismore in 1974 in Cheyenne, Wyo. She died in 1995. A memorial fund has been established. Survivors include five sisters-in-law.

DAVENPORT -- Services for Donna J. Walton, of Davenport, will be 10:30 a.m. today at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, Davenport. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery , Davenport. Visitation is 8:30-10 a.m. today at Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home, Davenport. Mrs. Walton died Wednesday, Nov. 10, 1999, at Genesis Medical Center-West Campus, Davenport, after an extended illness. She worked in office maintenance at Davenport Bank. She retired in 1992. Donna York was born March 1, 1939, in Davenport. Memorials may be made to the Diabetes Association. Survivors include her husband; daughters, Charlotte Walton and Carrie Garrow, both of Davenport; sons, Thomas Walton, David Garrow Jr. and Thomas, Tim and Jon Garrow Jr., all of Davenport; 11 grandchildren; sisters, Jackie Riley, Judy Fleetwood, Connie Welk, Vivian Washam and Shirley Ballenger, all of Davenport, Marsha York, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Pam Jones, LeClaire, Iowa, and Darlene Finch, Foley, Ala.; and brothers, Pat, Gary, Robert, Paul and Melvin York Jr., all of Davenport, Jerry York, Plant City, Fla., Jack Promission, Bushnell, Ill., and Danny Burton, Davenport.

Robert Borne
ORANGE CITY, Fla. -- Robert D. Borne, of Orange City, formerly of Davenport, died Wednesday, Nov. 10, 1999, at Florida Hospital-Fish Memorial, Orange City. Mr. Borne owned an architectural metals fabricating plant. He was born in Clear Lake, S.D. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society, 218-A E. New York Ave., Deland, Fla., 32724, and Hospice of Volusia/Flagler, 3800 Woodbriar Trail, Port Orange, Fla., 32119. Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Mercedes; daughters, Roberta Hanssen and Patricia Borne, both of Davenport; sons, David L., Tipton, Iowa, and Bruce A., Bettendorf; three grandchildren; and a brother, Dwight E., Ormond Beach, Fla.

Lena Daufenbach
EAST MOLINE -- Lena Daufenbach, of Forest Hill Health and Rehabilitation Center, died Wednesday, Nov. 10, 1999, at the health center. Burial will be later at Cedar Park Cemetery , Chicago. Sullivan-Phillips Mortuary Ltd.,. East Moline, is in charge of arrangements. Lena Dienama was born July 22, 1905, in Holland, Netherlands. She married Carl Daufenbach in 1927 in Harvey, Ill. He died in 1969. Mrs. Daufenbach was a homemaker. Survivors include sons, Ernest, Milwaukee, and Harod, Mary Dell, Del.; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Elizabeth Noggle
DAVENPORT -- Elizabeth A. Noggle, of Rogers City, Mich., formerly of Davenport, died Thursday, Nov. 11, 1999, at Tendercare, Rogers City. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park. The body was cremated. No services are planned. Beck Funeral Home, Rogers City, is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Noggle was one of the founders and past president of State Wide Care Home Association. Elizabeth Davidson was born April 23, 1932, in Belvidere, Ill. She married Wesley Noggle in 1960 in Columbus, Ohio. He preceded her in death. Survivors include a son, Alan, Rogers City; a grandson; sisters, Marjorie Haas, of Iowa, and Beatrice Krucera, of Illinois; and a brother, Bill Davidson, of Iowa.

William Pirch
CLINTON, Iowa -- Services for William Anthony Pirch-month-old son of David and Roberta (Redmond) Pirch, of Clinton, will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Lusk Memorial Cemetery , Albany, Ill. Visitation is 11 a.m. to noon Saturday at Nelson Funeral Home, Clinton. William Anthony died Saturday, Nov. 6, 1999, at Mercy Medical Center-North Campus, Clinton. He was born May 6, 1998. Survivors, in addition to his parents, include a half brother Joseph Redmond, Albany; and grandparents, Harold and Linda Bielema, Albany.

Virginia Rantan
GENESEO, Ill. -- Services for Virginia D. Rantan, of Geneseo, will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at First Lutheran Church, Geneseo. Burial will be in North Cemetery , Geneseo. Visitation is 6-8 p.m. today at Myers Chapel, Stackhouse-Moore Funeral Services, Geneseo. Mrs. Rantan died Tuesday, Nov. 9, 1999, at Trinity Medical Center-West Campus, Rock Island. She was employed as a registered nurse and did private duty nursing for several years. She later worked 13 years at Good Samaritan Village, Geneseo. Virginia Decker was born June 11, 1922, in Seymour, Wis. She married Leroy Rantan in 1943 in Galva. He died in 1997. Memorials may be made to the church. Survivors include a daughter, Christine Parlow, Rockford; a son, Timothy, Geneseo; and a granddaughter.

Lloyd Steward
DAVENPORT -- Services for Lloyd A. Steward, of Davenport, will be 10 a.m. Monday at Runge Mortuary and Crematory, Davenport. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery , Davenport. Mr. Steward died Tuesday, Nov. 9, 1999, in Sarasota, Fla. He retired in 1992 from Case IH, where he was a millwright. He was born Feb. 18, 1936, in Donahue, Iowa, to Frank F. and Anna (Ricklefs) Steward. He married Mary Ann Wiese on Oct. 9, 1954, in Davenport. He was a member of Davenport Moose Lodge 26 and Local 1304 of the United Auto Workers and a former member of the YMCA, Cornbelt Running Club and Quad-City Bicycle Club. Lloyd enjoyed biking, boating and camping and loved to winter in Florida. He also enjoyed spending time with his family, including his special nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to a favorite charity or Davenport YMCA. Survivors include daughters, Linda Steward, Sarasota, Fla., and Julie Day and her special friend Doug Seibel, both of Davenport; a son and daughter-in-law, James C. and Dana Steward, Davenport; granddaughters, Tara Day, McKenzie Markle and Taylor Steward; a grandson, Jeremie Markle; his mother, Anna Steward, Bettendorf; and brothers and a sister-in-law, Frank H. Steward and Cal and Lisa Steward, all of Davenport. Lloyd was preceded in death by his father, Frank; a sister, Phyllis Fahrenkrog; and a brother, Charles Steward.

ROCK ISLAND -- Services for Jean D. Everhart, of 3620 30th Ave., will be Saturday at 9 a.m. at DeRoo Funeral Home, Moline, and 9:30 a.m. at St. Pius X Catholic Church, Rock Island. Burial will be in Lone Tree, Iowa, Cemetery . Visitation is 3-7 p.m. today at the funeral home, with a rosary at 6:30 p.m. Mrs. Everhart died Wednesday, Nov. 10, 1999, at Trinity Medical Center-West Campus, Rock Island. She was a district trainer for the Illowa Council, Boys Scouts of America, and was active in Boy Scouts for 25 years. Jean Wieland was born Sept. 20, 1934, in Washington, Iowa. She married George Everhart in 1963 in Lone Tree. Memorials may be made to the church or Boy Scouts of America. Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Valerie Everhart, Bellevue, Neb.; sons, Albert, Marshalltown, Iowa, and Michael, Rock Island; a sister, Geneva Wieland, Lone Tree; and brothers, Darel Wieland, Oxford, Iowa, and Dale Wieland, Osceola, Iowa.

Brian Grother
ELDRIDGE, Iowa -- Services for W. Brian Grother, of Eldridge, will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Faith Lutheran Church, Eldridge, where he was a member. The Rev. Daniel Mixdorf will officiate. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park. Visitation is 4-8 p.m. today at the church and one hour before the services Saturday. Serving as pallbearers will be Dean Braack, Mike Norton, Joe Cawiezell, Kent Pennel, Jerry DeMarteleare, Bob Oster, Tom Puls and Chet Jones. Mr. Grother died Tuesday, Nov. 9, 1999, after a motorcycle-truck accident near Eldridge. Chambers & Sass Funeral Home, Eldridge, is in charge of arrangements. Brian was employed the past two years at IPSCO Steel Co., Montpelier, and recently had been promoted to shift coordinator. He formerly was employed for 10 years as a plasterer at Oster Plastering, Eldridge. In earlier years, he had been employed at Eldridge Lumber Co. He was born Feb. 19, 1964, in Louisville, Ky., to Bill and Carole (King) Grother. He was a 1982 graduate of North Scott High School, Eldridge, and had attended Scott Community College. He married Melissa A. Kremer on Oct. 8, 1994, at Faith Lutheran Church, Eldridge. He had served as a firefighter and assistant chief on the Eldridge Volunteer Fire Department. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed snow skiing, water skiing, loved snowmobiling, riding motorcycles, fishing and hunting. For many years, he coached girl's softball in Eldridge. Memorials may be made to the family. Survivors include his wife; stepdaughters, Breezy Kremer and Shannon Kremer, both of Eldridge; his mother and stepfather, Carole and Larry Katter, Ocala, Fla.; his father and stepmother, Bill and Marilyn Grother, Eldridge; a brother, Alan Grother, Los Angeles; his grandmother, Viola King, Louisville; his mother-in-law, Annette Peart, Riverdale; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Juanita Davis
JOY, Ill. -- Services for Juanita D. Davis, of Joy, will be 3 p.m. Saturday at Drury-Reynolds Cemetery , Drury Township. Visitation is noon to 2 p.m. Saturday at Family Funeral Services, Aledo. Mrs. Davis died Tuesday, Nov. 9, 1999, at Cottage Hospital, Galesburg. She retired as a quality control technician at Leadtech, Los Angeles. Juanita Davis was Dec. 10, 1923, in Horse Cave, Ky. She married Glen Davis in 1970 in San Fernando, Calif. He preceded her in death. She married Alden Johnson in 1939 in Kentucky. Memorials may be made to the family. Survivors include a son, Thomas Johnson Sr., Muscatine, Iowa; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a sister, Beverly Barnhouse, Aledo; and brothers, Rowland Davis, Davenport, and Charles Davis, Las Vegas.

Theresa Bickett
GENESEO, Ill. -- Services for Theresa I. Bickett, of Good Samaritan Village, 704 S. Illinois St., will be 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Louis Catholic Church, Princeton. The Rev. Edward Harkrader will officiate. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery , Tiskilwa. Visitation is 5-7 p.m. today at Jensen Funeral Home, 208 S. Euclid, Princeton, with a rosary recited at 7 p.m. Mrs. Bickett died Wednesday, Nov. 10, 1999. Theresa Vowels was born Oct. 23, 1917, in Bureau, to Benjamin E. and Lula M. (Radcliff ) Vowels. She married Thomas J. Bickett on Feb. 24, 1936, at St. Bede's Chapel, Peru. He died May 18, 1985. She was a member of the church and served as president of the Mothers of World War II, where she was a five-star Mother (three sons and two daughters). Memorials may be made to Good Samaritan Activity Fund, Geneseo; Bureau County Senior Citizen Association, of which she was a member; or St. Mary's Cemetery Fund. Survivors include daughters, Mrs. Jerald (Dorothy) Burba, Manlius, Mrs. Gerald (Mary Helen) Gerow, West Allis, Wis., Mrs. Ramon (Carolyn Jean) Sanchez, Omaha, Neb., Theresa Marie Bickett, Omaha, Mrs. Gerald (Catherine) Bentley, Davenport, and Mrs. Patricia Swierczek, Omaha; sons, James E. Michael Dean died Tuesday, Nov. 9, 1999, at Mercy Hospital, Clinton. Family Funeral Services, Colona, is in charge of arrangements. He was born Aug. 23, 1999, in Clinton. Survivors include his parents, William Trimble and Marcy Snell, Clinton; grandparents, Joyce Sodeman, Atkinson, Ill., Roy Snell, Colona, Ill., and Morris Trimble, DeWitt; and great-grandmother, Earnestine Snell, Colona.

Mrs. Richards died Wednesday, Nov. 10, 1999, at Trinity Medical Center-North Campus, Davenport. Nelson Funeral Home, Clinton, is in charge of arrangements. She was a homemaker. Barbara Bruhn was born March 11, 1934, in Jackson County. She married George Richards in 1977 in Tampa, Fla. Roland Angell
BETTENDORF -- Services for Roland C. Angell, of Bettendorf, will be 1 p.m. Monday at Cunnick-Collins Mortuary, Davenport. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park. Visitation is 1-4 p.m. Sunday at the mortuary. Mr. Angell died Wednesday, Nov. 10, 1999, at his home. He retired after 36 years with the Davenport school system. He was an elementary school principal and junior high counselor and served in various other capacities. Roland Clyde Angell was born March 19, 1926, in Galena, Ill., to William and Elsie (Gees) Angell. He married Ruth A. Killion on July 23, 1961, in Fairfield, Iowa. She died in August 1993. During World War II, he served as a sergeant with the Army Air Corps in the European-African-Middle-Eastern Theater. Mr. Angell received his master's degree in education from Drake University, Des Moines. He was a member of Bettendorf Presbyterian Church, Bettendorf Lions Club and Davenport Area Retired Teachers Association. Memorials may be made to American Diabetes Association. Survivors include a daughter, Debra Angell, Thibodaux, La.; and a son, Dr. Lance Angell, Bettendorf. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, William and Robert Angell.

George Schmidt
MUSCATINE, Iowa -- Services for George O. Schmidt, of Muscatine, will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at Zion Lutheran Church, Muscatine. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery , Muscatine. Visitation is 2-6 p.m. Sunday at Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home, Muscatine. Mr. Schmidt died Thursday, Nov. 11, 1999, at Lutheran Homes. He owned and operated Schmidt's Auto Service from 1939 to 1964. He then was a buyer and helped manage Rosa's Style Shop from 1969 to 1980. He was born June 12, 1904, in Muscatine. He married Luella Bieri in 1931 in Muscatine. She died in 1968. He married Margarette Wendlendt in 1969 in Muscatine. Memorials may be made to the church or Lutheran Homes. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Shirley Hagerson, Naperville, Ill.; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a sister, Ida Schmidt, Naperville.

MORRISON, Ill. -- Services for Marilyn J. Goodenough, of Bryan, Texas, will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Morrison United Methodist Church. Visitation is 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday at the church. Burial will be in Grove Hill Cemetery , Morrison. Mrs. Goodenough died Thursday, Nov. 12, 1999, at Sherwood Health Care Facility, Bryan. Morrison Chapel of Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. She was employed at Country Companies, Morrison; Wahl Clipper Corp., Sterling; and General Electric, Morrison. Marilyn Conner was born June 29, 1938, in Morrison. She married John Goodenough. Memorials may be made to Christ United Methodist Church Music Department, College Station, Texas, or American Cancer Society. Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Machelle Goodenough, Alvin, Texas; a son, Michael J., Fort Worth, Texas; sisters, Vernita Richardson, Coleta, Rita Beswick, Rock Island, Shirley House and Hazel Conner, both of Morrison, and Becky Iffland, Port Byron; and brothers, Robert Conner, Rockford, and Ralph A.
