Henry Wolterman
Funeral services were March 4, 2000 for Henry Al "Hank" Wolterman, 69, of Storm Lake at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Storm Lake. Father Brian Danner officiated with burial in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery under the direction of Farber and Otteman Funeral Home. Military graveside services were provided by AMVETS Post 66 of Storm Lake.
Mr. Wolterman died March 1 of cancer at Buena Vista County Hospital in Storm Lake.
He was born April 17, 1930 in Breda to George and Annie (Stein-kamp) Wolterman.
He graduated from Ida Grove High School in 1949 and served in the Army Reserve from 1951-53 as a paratrooper. He married Mary Tillman on Feb. 14, 1955 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Storm Lake. They lived their entire married life in Storm Lake.
Mr. Wolterman was in the wholesale building products business for 40 years, retiring in 1995. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, AMVETS Post 66 and a volunteer with the Military Honor Guard.
Survivors include his wife, Mary of Storm Lake; four children and their families; Lori and Jim McDermott and Allison of Omaha, Neb., Tracy and Dale Anderson, Jacob and John of Harcourt, Jeff and Polly Wolterman, Derek and Conner of Newell, and Sydney and Dave Miller, Cory, Zach and Austin of Storm Lake; two sisters, Merita Reiff of Ida Grove and Roseanne VanBoxtel of San Miguel, Calif; and five sisters-in-law, Conley Wolterman and Ardyce Wolterman of Ida Grove, Lois Wolterman of Parker, Ariz., Roberta Wolterman of Reading, Calif., and Jean Wolterman Mortenson of Cherokee.

Lois Maguire
Services were March 4, 2000 for Lois Maguire, 69, of Ida Grove at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Ida Grove. The Rev. Gerald M. Fisch and Monsignor Mark Duchaine officiated with burial in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Ida Grove under the direction of Christensen-Ciha Funeral Home in Ida Grove.
Mrs. Maguire died March 1 at Mercy Medical Center in Sioux City.
Mrs. Maguire was born Nov. 8, 1930, in Battle Creek, the daughter of Walter and Etta (Fouts) Feddersen. She was raised and educated in Ida Grove.
She married Raymond Maguire Jan. 4, 1950, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Ida Grove. For nearly 20 years, she worked at the Coast-to-Coast Hardware Store in Ida Grove. She then served as head cook for Ida Grove High School. In addition to farming, the couple ran the distributorship for the Sioux City Journal for 12 years. He died in 1994.
She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Altar Society. She was a 4-H leader for many years and was active at the Ida County Fair.
Survivors include two daughters and their husbands, Jeanette and Frank Drevs of Holstein and Marsha and Jerry Scholl of Sergeant Bluff; four granddaughters, Amanda and Samantha Drevs and Kara and Heather Scholl; a sister and her husband, Arlene and Phillip Hazen of Grand Island, Neb.; and many other relatives.

Betty Annear
Services were March 7, 2000 for Betty Annear, 84, of Ida Grove at First United Methodist Church in Ida Grove. The Rev. Marvin Lindley officiated with burial in Old Carrollton Cemetery in Coon Rapids under the direction of Christensen-Ciha Funeral Home in Ida Grove.
Mrs. Annear died March 1 at her home.
Mrs. Annear was born Dec. 7, 1915, in Henry County, Ill., the daughter of William and Mariette (Wheeler) Porter. The family later lived in Sioux Falls, S.D., Carroll, Coon Rapids and Sioux City.
She married Delos Annear of Glidden Sept. 25, 1931, at Elk Point, S.D. The couple moved to a farm in Carroll County and farmed northwest of Coon Rapids for 45 years. They moved into Coon Rapids in 1976. They wintered in California and spent their summers at their lake home on Lake Winnibigoshish in Minnesota. He died in 1978.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Ida Grove; a charter member of the Carrollton Community Club, which was formerly the Ladies Aid of the United Brethren Church at Old Carrollton; a 50-year member of the Order of Eastern Star; and also was a member of several social clubs in Coon Rapids and Ida Grove.
Survivors include two sons and their wives, David and Joy Annear of Ida Grove and Stephen and Ariana Annear of Klamath Falls, Ore.; three daughters, Kae and her husband, Cleo Betts of Elkhart, Ind., Ardeth and her husband, John Story of Tulare, Calif., and Mary Burgess of Klamath Falls, Ore.; 13 grandchildren; six stepgrandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 12 stepgreat-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; three sisters and their husbands, Grace and Everett Overton of Indianola, Alice and Bruce Annear of Lake Panorama and Ute and Gary Outlaw of Apple Valley, Minn.; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Victoria "Dora" Olberding
Services were March 4, 2000 for Victoria "Dora" Olberding, 96, of Odebolt at St. Martin's Catholic Church in Odebolt. The Rev. Allan Reicks of-ficiated with burial in St. Martin's Catholic Cemetery in Odebolt under the direction of Farber and Otteman Funeral Home in Odebolt.
Mrs. Olberding died Feb. 29 at Morningside Rehab and Care Center in Ida Grove.
Mrs. Olberding was born April 23, 1903, at Mt. Carmel, the daughter of Joseph and Wilhemina (Kies) Nees. She was baptized and confirmed in the Catholic faith at Mt. Carmel.
She married Frank Olberding Nov. 28, 1923, in Mt. Carmel. In 1938, the couple moved from Arcadia to a farm near Odebolt. He died in 1955. She continued to live on the farm until moving into Odebolt in 1958. In addition to being a housewife, she also worked at Odebolt Bakery.
She was a member of St. Martin's Catholic Church and the Parish Ladies Society.
Survivors include two sons, Norman Olberding of Odebolt and Vernon and his wife, Sandy Olberding of Spencer; four daughters, Mardelle Bloeger of Sioux Center, Elaine and her husband, Joseph Kennedy of Storm Lake, Marilyn and her husband, Robert Thompson of Cape Coral, Fla., and Sharon Truex of Hayward, Calif.; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; four sisters, Anna Henkenius of Massena, Sister M. Eloise of LaCrosse, Wis., Mary Daniel of Carroll and Leona Donaldson of New Hope, Minn.; a brother, Leon Nees of Tongonoxia, Kan.; and many nieces and nephews.

Erma Arp
Services were March 3, 2000 for Erma Arp, 83, of Galva at St. John Lutheran Church in Galva. The Rev. Bob Alexander officiated with burial in St. John Lutheran Cemetery under the direction of Barker Funeral Home in Holstein.
Ms. Arp died March 1 at Buena Vista County Hospital in Storm Lake.
Ms. Arp was born April 21, 1916, in Galva, the daughter of William and Adeline (Radke) Arp. She was baptized and confirmed at St. John Lutheran Church in Galva. She graduated from Galva High School in 1934. Following her graduation, she became a store clerk in the local grocery store for nearly 45 years.
She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Galva.
Survivors include a sister and her husband, Sadie and Lester Urskov, and many cousins.

Dorotha Butcher
Services were March 2, 2000 for Dorotha Faye Butcher, 93, of Onawa at Rush Family Chapel in Onawa. The Rev. Donald Ludwick of First Christian Church officiated with burial in Onawa Cemetery.
Mrs. Butcher died Feb. 28 at Pleasant View Care Center in Whiting.
Mrs. Butcher was born July 26, 1906, in Jefferson, the daughter of James M. and Ella M. (Skinner) Voiles.
She married Daniel C. Clayton in 1926.
She married Alfred Butcher Dec. 24, 1955, in Onawa. He died in 1972, in Onawa. She was employed with various cafes and did laundry and housekeeping.
She was a member of First Christian Church and Royal Neighbors of America.
Survivors include a son and his wife, Lyle C. and Roberta Clayton of Battle Creek; a daughter and her husband, Elsie G. and Russell Cummins of Onawa; two daughters-in-law, Elsie Clayton Wagner of Moorhead and Suzy Clayton of Roswell, N.M.; 25 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a niece.

Leon Harrison
Services were March 3, 2000 for Leon Farrell Harrison, 69, of Correctionville at Grace United Methodist Church in Correctionville. The Rev. Consorcia A. Sanchez officiated with burial in Correctionville Cemetery under the direction of Barker Funeral Home in Correctionville.
Mr. Harrison died Feb. 27 at a Sioux City hospital.
Mr. Harrison was born Dec. 21, 1930, in Correctionville, the son of LeRoy and Ona E. (Godwin) Harrison. He attended Douglas 9 Country School and graduated from Washta High School in 1949.
He married Cheryl Martin Nov. 22, 1953, in Correctionville. He was employed with Madison Motor Co. and Arnburg Motor Co. He owned an auto repair shop and was in partnership with his brother-in-law at the Corner Hardware. He was currently employed with Jensen and Klich Supply Co. of Des Moines.
He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Correctionville Fire and Rescue, where he was chief for 18 years, Chamber of Commerce and city council.
Survivors include his wife; a brother, Lorn Harrison of Braunfels, Germany; three sisters, Frances Schwaller of Odebolt, Melva and her husband, Virgil Dickman of Coon Rapids and Lorraine and her husband, Marlin Adams of Le Mars; a brother-in-law and his wife, James and Noma Martin of Santa Clara, Calif.; five sisters-in-law and their husbands, LaVonne and Lloyd Todd of Cushing, Sharlotte and Harold Arp of Holstein, Ruthie and Donald Groth of Mesa, Ariz., and Darlene and Eugene Baker and Gloria and Eugene Willems, all of Correctionville; and many nieces and nephews.

Vi Stratton
Services were March 1, 2000 for Vi M. Stratton, 77, of South Sioux City, Neb., at Becker-Hunt Funeral Home. The Rev. Trudy Malcom officiated with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery in Anthon.
Mrs. Stratton died Feb. 28 at a South Sioux City nursing home.
Mrs. Stratton was born April 23, 1922, in Grant Township, the daughter of William C. and Jennie (Loftus) Hammond. She was raised in Sioux City.
She married Boyd Stratton May 23, 1949. The couple lived in Washta before moving to South Sioux City in 1955. He died in 1980 in Sioux City.
She was a seamstress.
Survivors include three daughters and their husbands, Gwen and John Thorman of Belen, N.M., and Candy and Dennis Moret and Stormy and Gene Ott, all of Sioux City; a stepson and his wife, Gary and Barb Stratton of Holstein; a stepdaughter and her husband, Carolyn and Mel Frahm of Danbury; her stepmother, Kathryn Chinn of Wall Lake; a brother and his wife, Delmer and Annetta Hammond of Redfield; three stepbrothers and their wives, Norman and Pat Hammond of Wall Lake, Dick and Marty Hammond of Sac City and Tom and Sherrie Hammond of Lake View; two stepsisters, Shirley Hoaglund of Lake View and Bernice and her husband, Don Roth of Odebolt; 11 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Percy Reynolds
Services will be scheduled at a later date for Percy H. Reynolds, 84, of Pine River, Minn., formerly of Sioux City, under the direction of Northland Funeral Home in Pine River.
Mr. Reynolds died Feb. 29 at Whispering Pines Good Samaritan Village in Pine River.
Mr. Reynolds was born Dec. 15, 1915, in Madison, S.D., the son of Frank and Emily (Scribner) Rey-nolds.
He married Gladys Haller July 17, 1937. The couple farmed near Battle Creek. They then moved to Sioux City, where they owned and operated a candy vending business. They moved to Pine River in 1969.
Survivors include his wife; and a daughter, Barbara Reynolds of Shoreview, Minn.
