February 4, 1956 - July 4, 2005

-Special Services: Rosary 6:00 PM Wednesday

- Mass of Christian Burial: Thursday, January 119th at 10:00 AM in St. Mary's Catholic Church Rev. Gerald Stouvenel will be the Celebrant

- Interment: Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery

Wilma Josephine Erbland, 88, of Burlington, died at 6:50 p.m. Sunday, January 15, 2006, at Rosebush Gardens Health Center.

Born June 19, 1917 in Kingston, she was the daughter of Joseph and Clementine Panther Eibes. On October 8, 1946 she married Albert Erbland at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Burlington. He died July 12, 1953.

Mrs. Erbland worked at Burlington Medical Center as a processing aide for over 20 years retiring in 1987.

She was a member of SS Mary and Patrick Catholic Church and the Altar and Rosary Society and participated in many activities with her church. She loved to play bingo at Notre Dame High School on Sunday’s, was an avid Cub and Iowa Hawkeye basketball fan and enjoyed baking cookies and watching the Lawrence Welk show.

Survivors include her son, John A. (Susanne) Erbland of Burlington; one sister, Mabel Helscher of Keota; one brother, Raymond Eibes of Burlington; and many nieces and nephews.

Her husband, parents, five brothers, one in infancy, and three sisters preceded her in death.

A memorial has been established for Notre Dame Catholic Schools and St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry.

Huber Dale Evans, Jr.

October 19, 1945 - June 28, 2006

- Friends May Call: Friday, June 30th, 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM in Lunning Chapel
-Visitation: Friday, June 30th, 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM in Lunning Chapel.
According to his wishes, the body of Mr. Evans has been cremated.

Huber Dale Evans, Jr., 60, of West Burlington, died at 4:46 p.m. Wednesday, June 28, 2006, in Great River Medical Center.
Born October 19, 1945 in Washington, he was the son of Huber, Sr. and Lillian White Evans. On June 29, 1967 he married Juanita Allred in Kahoka, Missouri.

Mr. Evans was a 1964 graduate of Washington High School. He was a Navy veteran serving as Seaman First Class on the USS Hoel from 1965 until 1966. He worked in production at I.A.A.P., a welder at Heatilator and Catapillar, Georgia Pacific and Chittenden and Eastman until it closed.

Mr. Evans enjoyed bowling, gardening and watching birds. He was a former member of the JayCees and the Steel Workers Union.

Survivors include his wife, Juanita Evans of West Burlington; three sons, Tony (Dawn) Evans of Burlington, Shawn (Beth) Evans of Middletown and David (Laura) Evans of West Burlington; six granddaughters, Bethany (Chris) Luebbers, Abigail Evans, Leah Evans, Courtney Evans, Meghann Morris and Brett Morris; three grandsons, Shawn Evans II, Stephan Ackerman and Colton Evans and ; his mother, Lillian Evans of West Burlington; and numerous nieces and nephews

His father and brother Lonnie preceded him in death.

A memorial has been established for the American Cancer Society.

Ruth Marie Eversman
November 27, 1917 - March 11, 2007

Ruth Marie Eversman, 89, of Burlington, died Sunday, March 11, 2007 at Danville Care Center, Danville, Iowa.

Born November 27, 1917 in rural Des Moines County, she was the daughter of Arthur and Effie Teager Wischmeier. On July 22, 1939, she married Leo Frank Eversman in Burlington. He died in 1970.

Mrs. Eversman was a homemaker, helped her husband farm for many years, worked at Midwest Biscuit for two years and at the YMCA.

She was a member Zion United Church of Christ. She loved to dance and enjoyed her family.

Survivors include one daughter, Jeanine Jennings of Burlington; one son Larry Eversman of Euless, Texas; three grandchildren, Karl Jennings Jr., Susan Garrels and Leo F. Jennings; seven great grandchildren, Leo Edward Jennings, Sahah Noel Jennings, Elle Roxanne Jennings, Kelah Elizabeth Jennings, Zach Aaron Garrels, Miah Timothy Garrels and Brian Leo Jennings; one sister Pearl Oetken of Burlington; and one brother Glen Wischmeier of Burlington.

Her husband, parents and one sister, Lois Powell preceded her in death.

Richard G. Fahlgren
August 22, 1935 - May 6, 2006

-According to Mr. Fahlgren's wishes there will be no funeral service or
visitation; his body has been cremated.

Burlington, Iowa 52601

Richard G. Fahlgren, 70, of Burlington, and formerly of West Point, died at 11:25 a.m. Saturday, May 6, 2006, at his friends, Ron and Peg Hoyt's, residence.

Born August 22, 1935, in Burlington he was the son of Glenn and Dorothy Alwilda Chandler Fahlgren.

Mr. Fahlgren was a meat cutter and welder, retiring in 2003.

He was of the Baptist faith. He was a member of the Southeast Iowa Pigeon Club, and North American Bantam Association. He was the first to receive a falconer’s permit in the state of Iowa. He enjoyed going to animal sales and auctions, watching Animal Planet and loved dogs. He was an avid reader and also raised animals.

Survivors include two sons, Michael Fahlgren of Kansas City, Kansas and Travis Fahlgren of Belleville, Illinois; one daughter, Melissa Edwards of Biggsville, Illinois; one stepdaughter, Donna Whitaker of Burlington; five grandchildren; and two sisters, Judy Webb of Palmdale, California, and Anne Stearns of Scottsdale, Arizona.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Lucinda Fahlgren; one son, Randy Fahlgren; and one brother, William Fahlgren.

A memorial has been established for the Southeast Iowa Pigeon Club.

M. Tony Fahlgren

September 20, 1943 - October 1, 2006

M. Tony Fahlgren, 63, of Burlington, Iowa, died at 4:14 p.m. Sunday, October 1, 2006, at Van Buren County Hospital in Keosauqua.

Born September 20, 1943 in London, England, he was the son of Malcolm and Valerie Adams Fahlgren. On January 15, 1966 he married Donna Marion in Burlington.

Mr. Fahlgren was a graduate of Iowa Wesleyan College and was a draftsman by trade. He was a member of First United Church of Christ, Consistory for First United Church of Christ, Eagles, and Ducks Unlimited. He was very active in Burlington High School Athletics and a Booster Club member, was a swimming official for the Y.M.C.A. and enjoyed hunting, swimming, all athletics and his family.

Survivors include his wife, Donna Fahlgren of Burlington; four daughters, Selena (Richard) Tado of Algonquin, Illinois, Audra (Dave) Drahn of Cedar Rapids, Lucinda (Bret) Moews of Keosauqua, and Darci (Eric) Pettit of Flagstaff, Arizona; ten grandchildren, Tomika, Taylor, Jasmine, Samantha, Brenden, McKenzie, Tali, Tianna, Ben and Alex; his mother, Valerie Fahlgren of West Burlington; and sister, Tina (Larry) Magel of West Burlington.

His father preceded him in death.

Esther Feldman
January 5, 1897 - May 8, 2006

Esther Feldman, 109, of Burlington died at 6:00 a.m. Monday, May 8, 2006, at Great River Medical Center’s – Klein Center.

Born January 5, 1897 in Flint River Township, she was the daughter of Louis and Sarah Lutz Beckman. On June 7, 1922 she married Oscar Feldman in Salem Lutheran Church in Burlington. He died September 17, 1983.

Mrs. Feldman was a homemaker and loved to garden, crochet and cook. She was a member of Salem Lutheran Church and Immanuel Lutheran Church in Mediapolis.

Survivors include one son, Tom Lindoff of Burlington; one great niece, Elaine Beckman of Burlington; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews..

Her husband; parents; foster son, Henry Waltz; four brothers and three sisters preceded her in death.

A memorial has been established.

Bradley Dwight Fenton

August 3, 1961- March 23, 2006

Bradley Dwight Fenton, 44, of Sperry, died at 8:25 p.m. Thursday, March 23, 2006, at his mother’s home in Burlington.

Born August 3, 1961 in Bloomfield, he was the son of Darrell and Judy Kobus Fenton. On August 19, 1985 he married Renee Robinson in Marshalltown.

Mr. Fenton attended Mediapolis schools and worked as a roofer for Rettig Contracting Company and 3-D Roofing for over 20 years. He was an avid fisherman and hunter and loved being outdoors.

Survivors include his wife, Renee Fenton of Sperry; two sons, Devin Fenton and Dereck Fenton both of Sperry; one stepdaughter, Trisha Robinson of Cedar Rapids; his mother, Judy Fenton of Burlington; and two brothers, Darrell Fenton, Jr. of Peyton, Colorado and Marty Fenton of Burlington.

His father and maternal and paternal grandparents preceded him in death.

A memorial has been established for Great River Hospice.
