DAVID J. KOLLMAN
ORCHARD - David J. Kollman, 37, of Orchard, died Monday (May 8, 2000) at his home.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Champion Funeral Home, 702 State St., Osage, with the Rev. Robert Melhorn officiating. Burial will be in the Osage Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
David J. Kollman was born Feb. 4, 1963, in Osage, the son of Ronald and Janyce (Allstot) Kollman. The family moved to Arizona in 1965, living there until 1975 when they returned to Osage. He graduated from Osage High School. During high school he worked at the Schultz Bros. Store. He moved to Black River Falls, Wisc., to manage a Schultz Store and later managed stores in Owatonna, Minn., and Reedsburg, Wisc.
He married Teresa Walter in 1982 at Black River Falls, Wisc. In 1986 they returned to Osage. He worked at Winnebago, Brees Tire and Cooper's Chrysler. He was a former member of the Orchard City Council.
Survivors include his wife, Teresa Kollman of Orchard; one daughter, Nicole Kollman, Orchard; one son, Nathan Kollman of Orchard; his parents, Ronald and Janyce Kollman, of Osage; two sisters, Charlotte Carrison and her husband, Clint, of Northwood, and Teresa Kleckner and her husband, Tracy, of Osage; one brother, Anthony Kollman and his wife, Chris, of Abbottstown, Pa.; and 13 nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.

CYNTHIA "CINDY" WERNER WIGANT
OSAGE - Cynthia "Cindy" Werner Wigant, 51, of Osage, died Tuesday (May 9, 2000) at Faith Lutheran Home, Osage.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Osage, with the Rev. Philip Recker officiating. Burial will be in the Osage Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2:30 to 8 p.m. today at the Champion Funeral Home, 702 State St., Osage, with a 3 p.m. rosary and a scripture service at 7 p.m.
Cynthia Wigant was born May 5, 1949, in Osage, the daughter of Herbert and Angela (Hemann) Werner. She graduated from Osage High School in 1967 and received her associate of arts degree from NIACC in Mason City. She was employed at Comprehensive Systems in Osage for 15 years and for 11 years at the Iowa Department of Human Services, until her illness disabled her.
Cindy married Maylon Wigant on June 29, 1990, in Alexandria, Minn. They lived in Osage. Maylon died Oct. 3, 1993. She was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and Legion auxiliaries. She loved family gatherings and outdoor activities.
She is survived by her parents, Herb and Angie Werner, Osage; stepdaughter, Jennifer Lujan and her husband, Victor, of Tucson, Ariz.; siblings, Jim Werner and his wife, Dort, and their children, Christi, Lindsey and Brittany, and Randy Werner and wife, Myra and their children, Aaron, Danny, Emily, Tyson and Nikolas, of Northwood; Dori Werner, of Rochester, Minn.; Joe Werner, of Osage; Le Gene Smith and her husband, Alan, Osage, and their children, Amy Folkerts and husband, Rex, Jon Smith and wife, Michelle; John Werner and wife, Carolyn, of Osage, and their children, Derrick and Mandy; Andy Werner, Ft. Smith, Ark., and his children, Jessica and Andrew; a great-nephew and a great-niece.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Maylon, and maternal and paternal grandparents.

DARWIN HUEY
OMAHA, Neb. - Darwin Huey, 82, of Omaha, Neb., formerly of Clear Lake, died Tuesday (May 9, 2000) in Omaha.
Funeral services will be held on Friday at Crosby-Kunold-Burket-Swanson Funeral home in Omaha. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Ursula; one daughter, Darline Rasmussen, of Omaha, Neb.; one son, Dennis and his wife, Susan, of Omaha; one sister, Dorcas "Patsy" Gibb, of Pennsylvania; one brother, Duane "Pete" Huey and his wife, JoAnn, of Clear Lake; three grandchildren, Curt, Catherine and Patrick; one great-granddaughter, Ariel; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by brothers and sisters, Donald, Doris, Delpha, Dorothy, David and Dennis.
JERRY H. KOENEN
LATIMER - Funeral services for Jerry H. Koenen, 73, of Latimer, were held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, May 6, at Zion Reformed Church, rural Sheffield, with the Rev. Arthur Zewert officiating. Music was provided by Lila Van Horn. Casket bearers were Tony Cook, Steve Sydnes, Pat Nuehring, Frank Honold, Lee Muhlenbruck and Lee Schaffer.
Burial followed in the church cemetery. Willim Funeral Home, Latimer, was in charge of arrangements.
Jerry Herman Koenen was born Aug. 15, 1926, the son of David Herman and Amelia Gertrude (Janssen) Koenen, at Latimer. When he was a year old, his family moved to a farm. Jerry lost his mother at the age of 6 years and his father at the age of 9 years. He then moved to town with this aunt and uncle, Rinder and Lena Dirksen.
On June 7, 1954, he was united in marriage to Carol J. Wall at Latimer. To this union five children were born.
At the age of 14, he started working for Wilbert Muhlenbruck at the Latimer Produce. In 1954, he bought into the business as co-owner. From 1969 until 1982, he worked at Latimer Grain Co., when injuries forced him to quit working.
Jerry entered Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa in Mason City for heart surgery on Thursday, April 27 (2000). Jerry died Thursday morning, May 4, at the age of 73, from complications following his surgery.
He is survived by his wife, Carol, Latimer; sons, Duane and wife, Pamela, Alden, Minn., Dennis and wife, Karla, Marion, and Dwight and wife, Deanna, Latimer; daughters, Jerri and husband, Tim Enderson, Manly, and Kathy and husband, Jerome Bormann, Mason City; 11 grandchildren, Lindsay, Danielle, Shaun, Kayla, Joshua, Cody, Jared, Rachel, Tyler, Morgan and Matthew; sisters, Louisa Wiemann of Hampton and Amelia Langford of Conway, Ark.; brother, David Koenen, Latimer; and sister-in-law, Carol A. Koenen, Hampton.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Florence, brother, William, and brothers-in-law, Harvey and Henry (Hank).

TODD JOSEPH DUREN
STACYVILLE - Todd Joseph Duren, 35, of Plattsburg, Mo., formerly of Stacyville, died Tuesday at his home.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. John's Catholic Church, Johnsburg, Minn., with the Rev Gregory Leif officiating. Burial will be in Visitation Catholic Cemetery , Stacyville.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at St. John's Catholic Church in Johnsburg with a scripture service at 7 p.m.
Todd was born Oct. 13, 1964, in Osage, the son of Joseph and Violet (Wilde) Duren. He attended St. Ansgar schools. He worked at Brown Printing in Waseca, Minn., and as a truck driver in the Twin Cities, Omaha, Neb., and Plattsburg, Mo. He enjoyed his Harley Davidson and his cars. He had a good sense of humor and enjoyed life.
Survivors include his mother, Violet Duren, Stacyville; two brothers, Mark Duren and Brian Duren, both of Stacyville; two nephews, Shawn and Allen, of Stacyville; a special friend, Christie and her daughter, Lindsee; and his maternal grandmother, Leola Wilde, of Osage.
He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Duren; paternal grandparents, John and Mary (Weber) Duren; and his maternal grandfather, Arthur Wilde.

EAGLE GROVE - Gerald F. Bonde, 84, of Eagle Grove, died Tuesday (May 9, 2000) at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines.

CHARLES CITY - Lillian (Mrs. Bernard) Schmitt, 77, of 2295 March Ave., died Tuesday (May 9, 2000) at Floyd County Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Roseville, with Monsignor Walter Brunkan officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery
in Roseville.
Visitation will be held from 3 to 9 p.m. today at the Hauser Funeral Home, 1205 S. Main St., in Charles City, with a 3:30 p.m. rosary recited by the Rosary Society and a 7:30 p.m. parish vigil scriptural wake service, followed by the rosary. Visitation will continue one hour prior to Mass at the school next to the church.

JEAN MCARTHUR BAKER
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Jean McArthur Baker, 82, of Kansas City, Mo., former director of volunteer services for Research Hospital and Medical Center, died Saturday (May 6, 2000) at Villa Saint Joseph Nursing Home in Overland Park, Kan.
Jean was born in Mason City, Iowa, on Nov. 15, 1917, the daughter of the late Harry MacArthur and Sarah (Dunn) MacArthur. She was the wife of the late Don R. Kunz Sr., whom she married in 1940, and after his death, the wife of the late Homer C. Baker. She had been a resident of Kansas City since 1940.
Mrs. Baker was a graduate of Mason City High School in Mason City, the Certificate Program in Volunteer Management of the Division of Continuing Education at the University of Colorado and supervisory management courses designed by American Management Associates of New York City.
She is survived by her daughter, Kris (Mrs. Dennis) Hartwig of Olathe, Kan.; and son, Don Kunz of Wickford, R.I.; two sisters, Lenore (Mrs. Richard) Roark of South Bend, Ind., and Joan (Mrs. Art) Zollatz of Largo, Fla.; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Marjorie (Mrs. Pierre) Galan; and both husbands, Don R. Kunz and Homer Baker.
