MARY PEDELTY KELLEY
CLEAR LAKE - Mary Pedelty Kelley, 91 of Clear Lake, died Wednesday (Feb. 6, 2002) at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit in Mason City.
Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Clear Lake, with Monsignor Robert Hogan officiating. Inurnment will be at a later time in Elmwood Cemetery
in Mason City.
Visitation will be one hour before the services on Saturday at the church, with a prayer service at 10:30 a.m.
The family suggests memorials to St. Patrick's Catholic Church or Hospice of North Iowa.
Mary Electa Ryan was born Sept. 2, 1910, in Dougherty, the daughter of Thomas and Bridgett (McGee) Ryan. She graduated from St. Patrick's High School in Dougherty in 1929.
Mary married Donald (Buck) Pedelty in 1932 and he preceded her in death in 1969. In 1985 she married Cletus Kelley.
Mary's greatest interest in life was the Virgin Mary, the church, her family and friends. She will always be known for her Irish wit and gentle manner.
She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Clear Lake.
Mary is survived by her son, Holmes Pedelty and his wife, Jane, of Edina, Minn.; and daughter-in-law, Jo Pedelty, of Clear Lake; nine grandchildren, Lori Pedelty and her husband, Mark Ormond, Kevin Pedelty and his wife, Joan, Mark Pedelty and his wife, Karen Miksch, Adam Pedelty and Tanya, H J Pedelty, Kathryn Lloyd and her husband, Dan, Michael Pedelty and his wife, Kris, Donald Pedelty and his wife, Rebecca, and Victor Pedelty; and 17 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands; two brothers, Emmett and Justin Ryan; and two sons, J and Tom Pedelty.

MASON CITY - Albert Gayle "A.G." Thompson, 84, of Mason City, died Thursday (Feb. 7, 2002) at Mercy Medical Center- North Iowa.

NEVELYN HENDRICKSON
MASON CITY - Nevelyn Hendrickson, 78, of Mason City, died Tuesday (Feb. 5, 2002) at her home.
Her funeral will be held at 10 a.m. today at the Open Bible Church, 609 S. Eighth St., Clear Lake, with the Rev. Will Hunsaker officiating. Interment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation was held Thursday at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Ave., and will continue one hour before services today at the church.
Memorials may be directed to the Nevelyn Hendrickson Memorial Fund.
Nevelyn Hendrickson was born Dec. 27, 1923, in Cresco, the daughter of Ole and Marguerite (Wentworth) Mathews. She attended country schools near Cresco.
She was united in marriage to Kenneth Hendrickson on July 9, 1941, in Austin, Minn. They lived in LeRoy, Minn., for several years before moving to Mason City. While living in Mason City, she worked as a waitress for many years.
Her hobbies included playing cards, cooking and doing yard work. She loved her family dearly, especially her grandchildren, and looked forward to their weekly Sunday dinners. Her family will miss the time they spent together reading, coloring and visiting.
She had a heart of gold and her memory will be cherished by those who loved her, including her daughters, Judy Dittberner and husband, Lee, of Mason City, Nancy Worley of Mason City, Debbie Fistler of Mason City and Cindy Shinn and husband, David, of Mason City; her sons, Kenneth M. Hendrickson of Marino Valley, Calif., Gary Hendrickson and wife, Nancy, of Mason City, Bob Hendrickson and wife, Kathy, of Rockwell, and Kevin Hendrickson of Mason City; grandchildren, Christie and Kevin, Julie and John, Jessica, Candace, Scott and Laura, Shelby, Jeffrey and Kristine, Jamie and Dennis, Dena and Brad, Chad, Skyler, Corey, Elicia, Justin, Jordan, Jason, and Kayla; 10 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Lila Mathews, of Mason City; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers, three sisters and one great granddaughter.

HILDEGARD GEHLING
CRESCO - Hildegard Gehling, 91, of Cresco, died Wednesday (Feb. 6, 2002) at St Marys Hospital in Rochester, Minn.
Hildegard Mary Gehling was born on Aug. 14, 1910, near Festina, the daughter of Bernard and Rose (Tekippe) Hageman. She was baptized and confirmed at Our Lady of Seven Dolors Catholic Church, Festina. She attended school at St. Mary's School in Festina and returned home to help with the household chores.
On May 25, 1935, she was united in marriage to Gregory C. Gehling in Our Lady of Seven Dolors Church. They made their home in the Calmar area, moving to the Cresco area in 1941. They retired from the farm and moved into Cresco in October 1968.
Hildegard always remained active and belonged to various clubs, holding many offices. She was one of the founders of the St. Gerard's Club, and was 50-plus years as a member of the Farm Bureau. In her spare time, she would be found playing cards, reading, gardening, crocheting and working with tele-concern.
She is survived by her children, the Rev. Kenneth Gehling, chaplain at Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa, Gerald and his wife, Marian, of Albert Lea, Minn., Vincent and his wife, Colleen, of Cresco, and James and his wife, Lydia, of Cedar Rapids, Sister Patricia SSND, principal at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic School in Phoenix, and Connie and her husband, Tom Frana, of Ridgeway; 14 grandchildren, Jerry (Lynn) Gehling, Sharon (Dwayne) Stiernagle, Diane Gehling, Jeff (Eve) Gehling, Denise Gehling (Jason Wolcott), Dr. David (Jean) Gehling, John and Jamie Gehling, Michael (Barbara) Gehling, Chris (Brenda) Gehling, Kelly Gehling, Amber Frana-Earles, Greg and Emily Frana; 11 great-grandchildren, Carrie, Wendy, and Matthew Stiernagle, Elise, Kate, Sara, Trista, Bradley, Nicholas and Natalie Gehling, and Sienna Earles; and one sister, Regina Bruening, of Decorah.
Hildegard was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gregory, on April 21, 1978; one brother, Frank Hageman; and two sisters, Emma Gehling and Sister Carolyn Hageman.
Her funeral will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday at St. Joseph's Worship Center, with burial in Calvary Cemetery , both in Cresco, with the Rev. Kenneth B. Gehling, son, officiating. Lectors will be sons Gerald, Vincent and James. Eucharistic Ministers will be daughters Connie and Sister Patricia. Music will be provided by Sister Joyce Kolbet and School Sisters of Notre Dame. The pall will be placed by the children, gifts will be carried by the great-grandchildren and the casket bearers will be the grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. today at the Conway Funeral Home in Cresco, with a rosary at 4:30 p.m. and a scripture service at 7 p.m. There will be additional visitation one hour before the services on Saturday at the church.

PHYLLIS J. BOEHNKE
MESA, Ariz. - Phyllis J. Boehnke (nee Warriner) daughter of Howard B. and Lillian Warriner (nee Van Duren), formerly of Ventura, was born Jan. 3, 1933, in Greenwood, N.Y. Phyllis entered her Heavenly Home Friday (May 31, 2002).
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. John's Lutheran Church, in rural Garner, with the Rev. Carl Hedberg officiating. Interment will be at St. John's Cemetery
in rural Garner.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
Phyllis was baptized on June 27, 1937, by her grandfather, the Rev. Peter Van Duren. She graduated from Canisteo Central School, Canisteo, N.Y. She served her country with the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict from Feb. 15, 1952 until Jan. 8, 1954.
Phyllis and Clarence Boehnke were married Oct. 4, 1953, in Minneapolis, Minn. Upon being discharged from the military, they moved to Iowa where they farmed northeast of Ventura. In 1961 they moved to Mesa, Ariz. In 1976 her husband's occupation took them to Rapid City, S.D., and upon her husband's retirement, they returned to Arizona. They have resided at 8126 East Monte Ave., Mesa AZ 85208.
One of her joys in life was working with children and sharing the love of Jesus Christ through Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, and childcare.
Phyllis is survived by her husband, Clarence Boehnke, Mesa, Ariz.; two children, Gary Boehnke and his wife, Katy Hawker, of St. Louis, Mo.; Cindy Wood and her husband, John Wood, of Chandler, Ariz.; five grandchildren Josh, Chad, and Sarah Wood, Winona and Micah Hawker-Boehnke; five brothers, David Warriner and his wife, Alice Jean, of Greenwood, N.Y., Edmond Warriner and his wife, Lois, Canisteo, N.Y., Howard Warriner and his wife, Arret, of Arkport, N.Y., John Warriner and his wife, Marilyn, of Greenwood, N.Y., and Richard Warriner and his wife, Lorraine, Greenwood, N.Y.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents.
In lieu of flowers, the family has suggested memorials to Lutheran Hour Ministry, Korean Lutheran Seminary, Faith Lutheran Church, Overgaard, Ariz.

NORA S. HEFTY
HUMBOLDT - Nora S. Hefty, 92, of Humboldt, passed away on Saturday (June 1, 2002) at the Humboldt County Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. today at the Zion Lutheran Church in Humboldt, with the Rev. J.K. Raether and the Rev. Richard Merrill officiating. Burial will be in the LuVerne Cemetery
in LuVerne.
Visitation was held on Monday at the Mason-Lindhart Funeral Home in Humboldt.
Mrs. Hefty is survived by her daughter, Jane Billings, of Mason City; son, Dennis Hefty, of Renwick; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and a sister, Elsie Fittje, of Columbus, Neb.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John J. Hefty; daughter, Norma Jean Fuhr; and granddaughter, Cheryl Fuhr.
Nora Sybilla Hoesly, the daughter of Sam and Martha (Streblow) Hoesly, was born Aug. 16, 1909, at Creston, Neb. She was baptized on Oct. 16, 1909, at St. Peter Lutheran Church and received her education in country schools in the Creston area. Following her education she helped on the family farm.
On March 4, 1935, she was united in marriage to John J. Hefty at Creston, Neb. The couple made their home on a farm two miles north of Renwick until moving to the Hefty family farm. The couple retired in 1984 and made their home in Humboldt. Mr. Hefty passed away in 1992, and she continued to maintain her home in Humboldt until her death.
RAYNOLD L. KINSETH JR.
SIMI VALLEY, Calif. - Raynold L. Kinseth Jr., 78, passed away Sunday (May 12, 2002) in Simi Valley, Calif., following a courageous one-and-a-half-year battle with cancer. He was the older of two children.
He graduated from Belmond High School. He always loved his hometown of Belmond, where he was born on May 4, 1924. He also enjoyed his home for more than 30 years in Simi Valley, Calif.
He retired in 1985 from Dravo Corporation International as an Administration/Finance Consultant for overseas construction projects. During his years with Dravo, Ray enjoyed living in many countries and was involved with mining projects in Chile, Canada, Indonesia, Mexico, Singapore and Australia.
In addition to his work, Ray enjoyed golfing, wood-working and seeing the world.
He was an active member of the 89th Division Veterans Organization of World War II. He proudly served in the Army under Gen. George S. Patton during World War II before attending college, where he graduated with a degree in business administration.
He was recalled from the Army Reserves during the Korean War and his wartime was served in Battle Creek, Mich.
He was a devoted and loving son, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend.
Ray is survived by his wife, Virginia, of 55 years; daughter, Mallory Wolter, of Simi Valley, Calif.; grandson, Noah Wolter and his wife, April, and their daughter, Ashley, of Belmond, Iowa; sister, Luann Hohbein, of Beatrice, Neb. and her family, as well as cousins and his many friends from around the world.
Assisting the family with arrangements was Reardon Simi Valley Mortuary where a special memorial service was held on May 18, 2002.
Private interment will be at Belmond Memorial Cemetery.
