GREENE - Maryon E. Ladwig, 86, of 107 Willow Lawn Dr., Waverly, formerly of Greene, died Saturday (April 3, 1999) at her residence in Waverly.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, April 8, at Reid's Funeral Chapel, Greene, with Pastor Gene Burry of United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will take place in Rose Hill Cemetery , Greene.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Reid's Funeral Chapel and from 9 a.m. to the time of the service Thursday.

OSAGE - Karl Nannenga, 54, died Sunday (April 4, 1999) at Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit, Mason City.

IRENE B. BAUERS
ALBERT LEA - Funeral services for Irene B. Bauers, 82, of Good Samaritan Center, formerly of Twin Lakes, Minn., will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 6, at Lunder Lutheran Church with Pastor Kent Otterman officiating.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home, Albert Lea, Minn., and one hour prior to the services Tuesday at the church.
Irene died on Saturday (April 3, 1999) at Naeve Hospital, Albert Lea.
Irene B. Bauers was born on June 12, 1916, in Elkton, Minn., the daughter of Emil and Amelia (Grage) Laack. Irene was raised by foster parents, Ferd and Martha Schrieber.
On May 4, 1937, she was united in marriage to William Bauers. The couple have been lifelong residents of Twin Lakes.
Irene enjoyed gardening, crocheting, knitting and baking as long as her health allowed. She was a member of Lunder Lutheran Church where she was active in many church activities. She also was a member of the Twin Lakes Senior Citizens. Irene was a very caring and giving person who enjoyed spending time with her family and many friends.
Irene is survived by her children, Herman and his wife, Janice, Twin Lakes, Minn., Bill and his wife, Kay, Albert Lea, Minn., Grace (Branham) and her husband, Woody Woodcox, Anderson, Ind., Sharon and her husband, Henry (Hugh) Bates, Garner, Iowa, Debra and her husband, Larry Struck, Glenville, Minn., and Sandy and her husband, Douglas Oudekerk, Douglas, Wyo.; 22 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Emil and his wife, Maxine Laack, Austin, Minn., and Hank and his wife, Audrey Grage, Divine, Texas; two sisters, Lucille Hunt, Austin, Minn., and Janet and her husband, Al Flanders, Twin Cities, Minn., two sisters-in-law, Hulda Bauers, Alden, Minn., and Donna Grage, Austin, Minn.; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; foster parents; a son, Norman; a grandson, Patrick; and a son-in-law, Wayne Branham.
WILLARD ZICKEFOOSE
MARSHALLTOWN - Willard Zickefoose, 80, of 1211 W. State St., Marshalltown, formerly of Sheffield, died Saturday (April 3, 1999) at Marshalltown Medical and Surgical Center.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 7, at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Marshalltown, with the Rev. William Spencer officiating. Burial will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Hillside Cemetery
in Sheffield.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Pursel-Davis Funeral Home & Crematory, Marshalltown.
The Willard Zickefoose memorial fund has been established.
Willard was born Jan. 7, 1919, in Washington County, Iowa, the son of Charles S. and Elnora Turkington Zickefoose.
He was raised and educated in the Crawfordsville and Thornton, Iowa, areas where he was a 1936 graduate of Thornton High School. He attended Hamilton Business College in Mason City.
Willard was married to Donna B. Edgington on March 22, 1941, in Mason City and soon began farming just west of Sheffield. He farmed for many years until starting to work for the Sukup Manufacturing Company in 1977. He was a sales manager for the grain drying equipment manufacturer until his retirement in January of 1984.
His wife died in July of 1984. On May 20, 1995, he married Dee Kniel-Herzog in Marshalltown.
Willard is survived by his wife, Dee Zickefoose of Marshalltown; a son, Ronald D. Zickefoose of Sheffield; daughters, Sandra S. Weber of Faribault, Minn., Dee A. Peter of Marshalltown, and Jan M. Dorenkamp of Sheffield; a stepdaughter, Pam Anderson of Plymouth, Mich.; sisters, Martha
Schmidt
of Tempe, Ariz., Margaret James of Sun Lakes, Ariz., and Marjorie Braga of Marshalltown; 13 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife; three brothers, Harold, Dale and Sam Zickefoose; and one grandson, Greg Weber.
LAUREN D. KREITLOW
DOWS - Lauren D. Kreitlow, 81, died Sunday (April 4, 1999) at Franklin General Hospital, Hampton.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 7, at United Methodist Church, Dows, with the Rev. James Turner officiating. Burial will in Fairview Cemetery , Dows.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Elledge Funeral Home, Dows.

MELVIN I. "PEWEE" LUSCOMB
CLEAR LAKE - Melvin I. "PeWee" Luscomb, 75, died Saturday (April 3, 1999) at his home in Clear Lake.
No services will be held. His body was cremated.
Those planning an expression of sympathy may consider memorials to the charity of their choice in memory of Melvin I. Luscomb.
Melvin was born on May 22, 1923, in rural Clear Lake, son of Rollin and Amy (Paulson) Luscomb. He graduated from Ventura High School.
Melvin married Donna Judd on Sept. 24, 1943, in Clear Lake. They farmed northwest of Clear Lake until they retired in 1970. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Survivors include his wife, Donna Luscomb, Clear Lake; one son, Dennis Luscomb and his wife, Susan, Mission, Texas; daughters, Sheila Ruley, Clear Lake, and Jan Beal and her husband, Jim, Sioux Falls, S. D.; and three grandchildren, Jennifer Ruley, Des Moines, Jeffery Ruley, Mankato, Minn., and Ted Beal, Mesa, Ariz.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Donald Luscomb; and one granddaughter, Angela Beal.

DALLAS, Texas - Wilbert C. Haase Jr., 64, of 4805 McKinney Apt. No. 106, formerly of Mason City, died Saturday (April 3, 1999) at Baylor University Medical Center.

MASON CITY - Lloyd A. Jensen, 88, of 1518 Meadowbrook Dr., died Saturday (April 3, 1999) at North Iowa Mercy Health Center East, Mason City.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 6, at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania, Mason City, with the following officiants: Lyle Schober, Richard Davis and Ruth Klevgard. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery , Mason City.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today and until the time of the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
Lloyd A. Jensen was born Dec. 1, 1910, near Parkersburg, Iowa, to Andrew and Jennie (Williamson) Jensen. At a young age his family moved to Greene, Iowa, where he attended school.
Lloyd worked for a dry goods store and then ran his own grocery store in Greene for a few years before moving to Mason City in 1935. He worked for a sign company for a short time before starting his own sign business in April of 1936, Jensen Neon Sign Company.
Lloyd married Verna M. Lerwick Aug. 2, 1937. They raised their family in Mason City where he ran his company for 58 years.
Lloyd's family includes his wife, Verna M. Jensen of Mason City; two sons, Arnold Jensen and his wife, Jane, of Mason City, and Howard Jensen and his wife, Sharon, Mequon, Wis.; a daughter, Carolyn Jensen of Des Moines; nine grandchildren, Lisa Galloway and her husband, Kevin, of Newton, Iowa, Andrea Jensen of Tyler, Texas, Matthew Jensen of Pella, Iowa, Craig Jensen and his wife, Anne, of Atlanta, Ga., Mark Jensen and his wife, Charmaine, of Largo, Fla., Curtis Jensen of Madison, Wis., Darin Jensen of Mequon, Wis., James Hillson of Des Moines and Gregory Hillson of Des Moines; a great-grandchild, Thomas Galloway; two sisters, Ethel Anderson of Watertown, S. D., and Emma Eames and her husband, Maynard, of Forest City, Iowa; and several nieces and nephews.
