ROCKWELL - Marie C. Meyer, 88, of Rockwell, died Monday (July 26, 1999) at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit, Mason City.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Peter Lutheran Church, Rockwell. Interment will be in the Rockwell Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the Fullerton Funeral Home, 120 S. Third St., Rockwell. Visitation will continue one hour prior to services at the church.

DANA L. MOORE

CHARLES CITY - Dana L. Moore, 31, died Saturday (July 24, 1999) at the Floyd County Memorial Hospital, Charles City.

Memorial services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Hauser Funeral Home, 1205 S. Main St., Charles City, with Keith Eldridge officiating. Burial will occur at a later date.

WILLIAM T. KIRKSEY

CHARLES CITY - William T. Kirksey, 70, of Charles City, died Monday (July 26, 1999) at the home of his daughter in Charles City.

At his family's request, his body was cremated and his ashes will be scattered in his home state of Tennessee.

Hauser Funeral Home, 1205 S. Main St., Charles City, is in charge of arrangements.

VERL G. FLUHRER

MANLY - Verl G. Fluhrer, 79, of Manly, died Tuesday (July 27, 1999) at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit, Mason City.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Manly. Interment will be in the Sacred Heart Cemetery , Manly.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Bride Colonial Chapel, with a 7 p.m. Scripture wake service.

JASON LEE MOORE

BELMOND - Jason Lee Moore, 27, of Belmond, died Tuesday (July 27, 1999) as a result of an accident that occurred between Oskaloosa and Pella on U.S. Highway 163. He died en route to Iowa Methodist Hospital, in Des Moines.

Arrangements are incomplete at the Tenold Funeral Home, Belmond.

MYRON 'MIKE' HAUGOM

CHARLES CITY - Myron "Mike" Haugom, 83, of 909 Ninth Ave., died Tuesday (July 27, 1999) at the Riverside Chautauqua Guest Home.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Hauser Funeral Home, 1205 S. Main St., with the Rev. Curt Schneider, pastor of Messiah Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial will be in the Riverside Cemetery , with a flag presentation at the graveside by the Charles City Ceremonial Unit.

Visitation will be held from noon to 9 p.m. Thursday, with the family greeting friends from 6 to 8 p.m. and from 9 a.m. until time of services on Friday.

ROBERT L.

REYNOLDS SR.

LEROY, Minn. - Robert L. Reynolds Sr., 74, of LeRoy, died Sunday (July 25, 1999) at his home.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at the First Presbyterian Church, in LeRoy, with the Rev. Steve Elderbrock officiating. Burial will be in the LeRoy Cemetery.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the Hindt Funeral Home in LeRoy and one hour prior to services on Thursday at the church.

Robert was born June 3, 1925, in Britt, Iowa, to Walter Curtis Reynolds and Ethel Gilbert Reynolds. He attended and graduated from Hayfield, Iowa High School and joined the United States Air Force during World War II and was discharged shortly after the war.

On June 18, 1949, he was united in marriage to Lillian Priest in Forest City, Iowa, and to this union, three children were born, Robert Jr., Larry and Patricia. They recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. He had moved to LeRoy in 1959 and was employed with Martz Furniture until his retirement in 1990.

Robert enjoyed playing golf, doing crossword puzzles and watching football and westerns.

He is survived his wife, Lillian, of LeRoy; two sons, Robert Jr. and wife, Ann, of LeRoy and Larry, of Mason City; one daughter, Patricia Reynolds, of Rochester; a stepdaughter, Shirley (Mrs. Ron) Hall, of Tuczn, Ariz.; one grandaughter, Kathryne Marker, and one grandson, Michael Reynolds; two sister, Hazel Maines, of Clinton, Iowa and Gertrude Ganseveld, of Webster City.

He was preceded in death by his parents, seven brothers and three sisters.

RONELDA MAE MOTT

MASON CITY - Ronelda Mae Mott, 89, of 625 Sixth Place S.E., died Saturday (July 24, 1999) at the Good Shepherd Health Center.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Wesley United Methodist Church, 1405 S. Pennsylvania Ave., with the Rev. Bill Poland officiating.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Major Erickson Funeral Home & Crematory, 111 N. Pennsylvania Ave., and one hour prior to services at the church.

Memorials may be given to the Ronelda Mae Mott Memorial Fund.

Ronelda Mae Mott was born Jan. 22, 1910, in Mason City, the daughter of Fred and Jennie (Bemiss) Freitag. She graduated from Mason City High School in 1928 and was a stenographer for the claims department of the Modern Brotherhood of America Insurance Co.

She married Vern E. Mott on Sept. 23, 1928, in Mason City. She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church, the Ladies Auxiliary of Retired Railroad Workers, American Legion Auxiliary, Moose Lodge, White Shrine, Universal Study Club and the Memorial Association Board. Mrs. Mott was treasurer for many of these organizations for many years.

She was inducted into the River City Softball Hall of Fame in 1983. She was third baseman on the Consolidated Coal Chunk's YWCA league team in the early 1930s. She was a summer resident at her cottage in Oakwood Park every summer since 1945.

Mrs. Mott is survived by her son, Russell Mott and wife, Marsha, of Clear Lake; three grandchildren, Sarah Israelson and her husband, William, of Staples, Minn., Adam and Andrew Mott, of Clear Lake; three great-grandchildren; one nephew and two nieces.

She was preceded in death by her husband, a son, a sister and a brother.

TILMAN J. GROSLAND

ROCHESTER, Minn. - Tilman J. Grosland, 78, of Rochester, Minn., formerly of Mason City, died Tuesday (July 27, 1999) at St. Marys Hospital, from cancer.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Macken Funeral Home, Rochester, with the Rev. Howard M. Reinschmidt officiating. Burial will be in the Oakwood Cemetery , Rochester.

Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until time of services at the funeral home.

Memorials may be given to the Mayo Clinic Cancer Research.

Tilman J. Grosland was born Dec. 2, 1920 in Kensett, Iowa. He lived in Mason City from 1942 to 1998 and had lived in Rochester since 1998.

He married Agnes May in 1946 at the St. Joseph Catholic Church, in Mason City. He was a store keeper for Armour Foods in Mason City for 42 years and retired in 1983.

He was a 40-year charter member and second president of Wigwam-N-Wagan Camping Club, Mason City.

He is survived by his wife, Agnes, of Rochester; one son, Steve Grosland, of Rochester; grandchildren, Lynn (Mrs. Matt) Freeseman, of Elgin, Ill., and Amy (Mrs. Brian) Meade, of Oakdale, Minn. And Michael Grosland, of Minneapolis; and one sister, Lizzie Brown, of Rochester.

He was preceded in death by his parents, six brothers and one sister.
