ROBERT L. DAVISON
CLARION - Robert L. Davison, 85, longtime Clarion banker, died Saturday (Sept. 4, 1999) at Mercy Health Center in Des Moines.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at United Church Of Christ Congregational, Clarion, with the Rev. Curt Miner officiating. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. at Memorial Park Cemetery
in Mason City.
Visitation is on Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Willim funeral Home, Clarion, and will continue one hour before the service Wednesday at the church.
Robert Lynn Davison was born Aug. 17, 1914, at Hampton, the son of Clyde and Margaret Van Nest Davison. As a child the family moved to Sheffield where he graduated from high school in 1932.
He then moved to Mason City and began his banking career. On July 28, 1937, he and Jane D. Williams were married at the Congregational Church in Mason City. In 1939 he came to Clarion with First National Bank and retired as president on Dec. 31, 1983.
He served in the Navy during World War II.
Bob was a member of United Church of Christ Congregational, Cyrene Lodge No. 325, Clarion Masonic Lodge, ElKahir Shrine Club, Clarion Rotary Club where he was a Paul Harris Fellow, Clarion American Legion and Clarmond Country Club. In past years he had been the Clarion School Board treasurer and active in many community organizations. He will be long remembered for his many generous contributions to Clarion.
Survivors include his wife, Jane; two daughters, Diana Weddell and her husband, Jim, and Sue Hardinger and her husband, Jim, both of Boone; eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; and a sister, Georgette Farrer of Mason City.
He was preceded in death by his parents, five sisters, two brothers and daughter Lynne Oberg in 1994.

GARNER - Elmer J. Huenemann, 82, of Garner, died Monday (Sept. 6, 1999) at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit, Mason City.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Peace Reformed Church, south of Garner, with the Rev. Robert Grossman officiating. Interment will be in Peace Reformed Church Cemetery.

LAKE MILLS - Gilman "Jim" Turvold, 83, of Lake Mills, died Sunday (Sept. 5, 1999) at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit, Mason City.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Salem Lutheran Church, Lake Mills, with the Rev. Roger Dystra and the Rev. Sara Beth Akre officiating. Burial will be in Salem Memorial Cemetery , Lake Mills.

CHARLES CITY - Clarence L. Kay, 90, of 2521 Timber Ave., rural Charles City, died Sunday (Sept. 5, 1999) at the Riverside Chautauqua Guest Home.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, U.S. Highway 18 and Clark Street, Charles City, with Monsignor Stanley J. Hayek officiating. Burial will be in the Calvary Cemetery , Charles City.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 9 p.m. today at the Fullerton Hage Funeral Home, 401 Blunt St., Charles City, with a parish vigil scriptural wake service at 7 p.m., followed by a Nights of Columbus Rosary, led by the Knights of Columbus Charles City Council No. 1409. IDA AMANDA DILTS
KENSETT - Ida Amanda Dilts, 96, of Kensett, died Sunday (Sept. 5, 1999) at the Manly Nursing & Rehab Center.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Bethany Lutheran Church, in Kensett, with the Rev. Selmer G. "Sam" Hernes officiating. Inurnment will be in the Kensett Cemetery.
Friends may call from 1 p.m. until time of services on Wednesday at the church.
According to her wishes her body was cremated. The family of Ida Amanda Dilts has requested that memorial contributions be made to the Bethany Lutheran Church, Manly Nursing & Rehab Center or to Hospice of North Iowa in her memory.

Ida Amanda Dilts was born on March 26, 1903, the daughter of John and Bertha (Torgerson) Hanson. She was baptized and reaffirmed the faith of her baptism through confirmation in the Lutheran faith.
Ida grew up on a farm in Worth County and attended and received her education in the rural country school system near Kensett. During her life, she worked for Mason City Tent & Awning during the 2nd World War and Armours Meat Packing Company in Mason City for many years until her retirement.
She enjoyed bingo, scrabble, taking care of her yard, reading, puzzles, cooking and visiting with her family and friends.
She was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church in Kensett, and the eleven "A's" Birthday Club, in Kensett.
Left to cherish her memory is a daughter, Virginia Ingersoll and her husband, Floyd, of Kensett; a son, Harold Dilts and his wife, Jo, of Ames; seven grandchildren, Pam Ingersoll, of Mason City, Vera (Ingersoll) Hagen and her husband, John, of Northwood, Holly (Ingersoll) Nelson and her husband, Dennis, of Mason City, Shelly Ingersoll, of Eaton, Colo., Kathy (Dilts) Ennis and her husband, Rick, of Ames, Linda (Dilts) Gallagher and her husband, Don, of Sun Prairie, Wis., and Marsha Richards and her husband, Trevor, of West De Moines; eight great-grandchildren; one sister, Alice Jacobson, of Des Moines, Wash.; many nieces and nephews; as well as other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Clarence, Alvin and Benhard Hanson; and two sisters, Norma Knutson and Edvina Dahle.
