CHARLES CITY - Rose (Mrs. Gilbert C.) Fleming, 80, of 701 Eighth St., died Monday (Oct. 11, 1999) at the Floyd County Memorial Hospital.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete at the Hauser Funeral Home, 1205 S. Main St., Charles City.

RUTH S. (BIRCHARD) DALLUGE

GRAFTON - Ruth S. (Birchard) Dalluge, 86, of Grafton, died Monday (Oct. 11, 1999) at Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa in Mason City.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Grafton, with the Rev. Wayne Ellingson officiating.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Champion Funeral Home, Osage, and one hour prior to services on Thursday at the church.

ROBERT EARL BUGH

CARROLL - Robert Earl Bugh, 77, of Carroll and formerly of Ankeny, died Saturday (Oct. 9, 1999) at the Carroll Health Center.

There will be no visitation and services will be held at a later date.

WAYNE M. HENDERSON

MASON CITY - Wayne M. Henderson, 56, of 431 27th St. S.W., Mason City, died Monday (Oct. 11, 1999) at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Hogan Bremer Colonial Chapel, 126 Third St. N.E. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery , Masonville.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral chapel and will continue until time of services on Thursday.

HELEN O. JORGENSEN

OSAGE -Helen O. Jorgensen, 90, died Tuesday (Oct. 12, 1999) at Riceville Community Rest Home.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Osage with the Rev. Dennis Hanson and the Rev. Roy Ott officiating. Interment will be in the Osage Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Champion Funeral Home, Osage, and one hour prior to services at the church Friday.

Helen Charlotte Olson was born July 22, 1909, in her lifelong family home at 702 N. Seventh St. in Osage, to Carl E. Olson and Gunnil (Johnson) Olson. Helen was baptized and confirmed in the Osage Evangelical Lutheran Church (now Our Savior's Lutheran) and was a continuous member until the time of her death.

She attended Osage schools and graduated from Osage High School in 1926. She attended and graduated from St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minn., in 1930, having majored in French and history. Following her graduation, Helen attended and later taught at the Minnesota School of Business in Minneapolis. Throughout the years of the Depression and World War II, Helen was a business teacher in the secondary schools of Maddock, N. D., Two Harbors, Perham and Owatonna, Minn. Her summer months were spent in Osage with her parents.

Helen was united in marriage to Robert L. Jorgensen on June 30, 1945, in Osage. They made their home at her parental home, where they raised their family and continue to live to the present time.

In 1966 after 21 years of being a homemaker and substitute school teacher, Helen accepted a teaching position at St. Ansgar Community High School where she taught for one year.

Helen was a member and treasurer of the Osage Library Board for 24 years. She has been an active member in the Shakespearean Club, her church circle and ELCA women's group, and the Sons of Norway. Helen was a member of Sunny Brae Country Club. She played bridge with her favorite bridge clubs for many years. She was a Girl Scout leader for five years.

Helen is survived by her husband, Robert L. Jorgensen, Osage; three children, Mrs. Larry (Julia Ann) Kotewa, Peoria, Ill., Robert C. Jorgensen, Minneapolis, Minn., and Mrs. Richard (Helen Christine) McConnell, Cedar Rapids; and seven grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Cora Matzoll.

Memorials may be directed to the Osage Public library or Our Savior's Lutheran Church.

RUTH S. (BIRCHARD) DALLUGE

GRAFTON - Ruth S. Dalluge, 86, died Monday (Oct. 11, 1999) at Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa, Mason City.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Grafton, with the Rev. Wayne Ellingson officiating. Burial will be in Grafton Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Today at Champion Funeral Home in Osage and will continue one hour prior to services at the church Thursday.

Ruth was born Jan. 25, 1913, at home in Grafton, the 11th of 16 children born to John and Emma (Glauwitz) Bork. Ruth was baptized and confirmed at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Grafton. She graduated from Grafton high School in 1932.

On June 27, 1937, she was married to Birchard Dalluge at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Grafton. They made their home in Grafton and shared 57 years together until Birchard passed away in 1995. To this marriage was born a son, Larry, and a daughter, Mary.

Ruth enjoyed baking sweets and sharing them with her family and friends. She also spent her time knitting and reading and was an avid Hawkeye fan. She was an active member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, participating in her circle, quilting days and teaching Sunday School, and together she and Birch were active members of the Stewardship and Evangelism Committee for many years.

Ruth is survived by her daughter, Mary Trettin and her husband, Robert, of Waterloo; a son, Larry Dalluge and his wife, Carol, of Grafton; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and four sisters, Irene Hartwig and Elsie Kline of Grafton, Linda Bartz of St. Ansgar, and Genny Furness of Cedar Rapids.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Birchard; one grandchild, Timothy Trettin; one great-grandchild, Christian Dalluge; and six brothers and five sisters.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral chapel and will continue until time of services on Thursday.

Wayne Morgan Henderson was born Aug. 14, 1943, in LeRoy, Ill., the son of Donald and Mabel (Morgan) Henderson.

Wayne moved to Iowa with his family at the age of 6 and was raised on the farm. He attended Dundee School where he played on the basketball team. He was on the state wrestling team of West Delaware Community High School and enjoyed many musical activities.

After graduation, he married Leonora "Lennie" Durey on July 23, 1961, in Hopedale, Ill. He graduated from Ellsworth Junior College in Iowa Falls, where they lived for four years.

After college, he started his career in the tire business. He and his family moved to Fort Dodge, Iowa Falls, Cedar Rapids, and in 1971, he came to work at J & L Tire and lived in Mason City. In 1986, he formed a partnership called B & H Tire at Forest City. In 1991, he started his own business, All Tire Service Center, in Forest City.

Wayne was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church, Mason City. He enjoyed fishing and bowling. He was an avid collector of toy farm tractors, toy pedal cars and hot wheels. He enjoyed weekend traveling in search of his toy collecting.

Survivors include his wife, Lennie, of Mason City; two sons, Wayde and his wife, Kathy, of Manly, and Scott and his special friend, Gina, of Mason City; five grandchildren, Nick and Laura, both of Manly and Cassidy, Zack and Cody, all of Mason City; one sister, Cheryl Ries and her husband, Frank, of Hopkinton; one brother, Arlan Henderson of Masonville; one brother-in-law, Lowell Noggle, Cedar Rapids, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Marlene Noggle.

STANLEY H. ANDERSON

JOICE - Funeral services for Stanley H. Anderson, 85, formerly of Joice, will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Beaver Creek Lutheran Church, rural Joice, with the Rev. Steve Smith officiating. Burial will be in Beaver Creek Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Mittelstadt Funeral Home in Lake Mills, and one hour prior to services at the church.

Stanley Hubert Anderson, son of Ben and Ida (Petersburg) Anderson, was born Dec. 1, 1913, in Worth County, Iowa. He married Mildred Tenold at the Lutheran Parsonage in Joice on Dec. 12, 1936. Mildred passed away May 22, 1987.

Stanley was a lifelong farmer in Worth County. Prior to moving to Normal, Ill., in July of 1999, he was a resident of the Lake Mills Care Center for three years. Stanley passed away Sunday (Oct. 10, 1999) at his home in Normal, Ill.

He is survived by his son, David (B.J.) Anderson, of Normal, Ill.; four grandchildren, Greg (Glenda) Anderson, of Mt. Vernon, Ill., Shari (Steve) Mientus, of Chicago; Todd (Tammy) Anderson, of Normal, Ill. Joni (Jeff) Lawson, of Lexington; three stepchildren, Dea (Scott) Anderson, of Normal; Bill (Lanette) Draper, of Normal; and Jodi Draper, of Bloomington; 12 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Beryl Heltne, of Phoenix, Ariz.; and Dorothy Hagen, of Joice,; one brother, Wesley (Iris) Anderson, of Joice.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, two sisters and two brothers.

Memorials may be made to the Beaver Creek Lutheran Church or a charity of the donor's choice.
