Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, rural Greene, with the Rev. Mark Walker officiating. Burial will be in St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery , rural Greene.

IOWA FALLS - Marcella N. Smuck, 79, of Iowa Falls, died Monday (Oct. 18, 1999) at the Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa, Mason City.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the First United Methodist Church, Iowa Falls, with the Rev. John Poe officiating. Burial will be in the Union Cemetery , Iowa Falls.

MASON CITY - Dick D. Fox, 72, of 9 Asbury Place, former owner and operator of Mason City Roofing, died Tuesday (Oct 19, 1999) at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit.
His body was cremated. There will be no visitation
Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Trinity Lutheran Church, 213 N. Pennsylvania Ave., Mason City, with the Rev. Nils "Chris" Hellevik officiating. A flag presentation will be conducted at the church by the Mason City Veterans Memorial Association.

MESERVEY - Alverda L. Koenen, 79, of Meservey, died Tuesday (Oct. 19, 1999) at the Sheffield Care Center, Sheffield.

CHARLES CITY - Opal (Mrs. Charles) Shollenbarger, 78, of 806 Hildreth St., died Monday (Oct. 18, 1999) at the Floyd County Memorial Hospital.

HAMPTON - Tonda Wood, 53, of Hampton, died Tuesday (Oct. 19, 1999) at the Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa, Mason City.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Sietsema Vogel Funeral Home, Hampton. Burial will be in the Hampton Cemetery.

ROSA JOHANNA EMILIE URBATSCH
MANLY - Rosa Johanna Emilie Urbatsch, 96, of Manly, formerly of Grafton, died Tuesday (Oct. 19, 1999) at the Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Grafton, with the Rev. Wayne Ellingson officiating. Burial will be in the Grafton Cemetery.
Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the Bride Colonial Chapel, 110 E. Spring St., Manly, and one hour prior to services on Friday at the church.
The family of Rosa Johanna Emilie Urbatsch has requested that memorial contributions be made in her memory to Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Grafton.
Rosa Johanna Emilie Urbatsch was born on Dec. 23, 1902, in Mitchell County, the daughter of Julius and Ernestine (Zerck) Hollatz. She was baptized on Dec. 29, 1902, by the Rev. William Janzow in St. Ansgar and reaffirmed the faith of her baptism through confirmation on April 13, 1919, by the Rev. Carl Landdeck of Grafton. She attended and received her education in the rural country schools near Grafton.
She was united in marriage to Earl Arzberger in 1923. He preceded her in death in January of 1952. After their marriage together, they farmed east of Manly until his death.
She was united in marriage to Lloyd Urbatsch in 1955 and moved to Manly in 1958. He preceded her in death on April 8, 1983.Rosa had been a resident of the Manly Nursing and Rehab Center for the past two years.
She was a hard worker and enjoyed fishing, gardening, cooking, baking, flowers and music.
She was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Grafton.
She is survived by a sister-in-law, Laville Hollatz, of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; two nephews, Billy Hollatz and his wife, Beverly, of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and Donald Hollatz and his wife, Mary, of Plymouth; a niece, Margaret Finch, of Manly; numerous other great-nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands, Earl Arzberger and Lloyd Urbatsch; three brothers, Walter, Robert and Chris; a sister, Matie; and a nephew, Reuben Arzberger.

PANAGIATA 'YOTA' RISH
MASON CITY - Panagiata "Yota" Rish, 67, of 1600 Royal Circle, died Monday (Oct. 18, 1999) at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit, Mason City.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Elmwood-St. Joseph Cemetery , Mason City, with the Rev. Joseph Mirowski of the Greek Orthodox Church of Transfiguration officiating.
There will be no visitation. Major Erickson Funeral Home & Crematory, 111 N. Pennsylvania Ave., is in charge of arrangements.
Memorials may be given to Hospice of North Iowa.
Panagiata Rish was born Aug. 14, 1932, in Patras, Greece. She left Greece at the age of 23 to live in Emmetsburg, and in 1960, moved to Mason City. She worked in housekeeping at Mercy Medical Center for 15 years.
"Yota" was a member of the Greek Orthodox Church of Transfiguration, enjoyed bus trips to area casinos and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by two sons, James Rish and his wife, Gloria, of Mason City, and Daniel Rish and special friend, Rhonda, of Mason City; five grandchildren, Chris, Kelly, Allissa, Daniel Jr. and Skyler; brothers and sisters living in Greece and one sister, Fotini Smiles, of Burlingame, Calif.; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.
