Eugene J. "Gene" Koster, 77, of 16010 Asbury Road, died Friday, Dec. 6, 2002, at Heritage Manor.
John Rhomberg
John "Anthony" Rhomberg, 98, a resident of Madonna Towers, Rochester, Minn., since 1989, formerly of Dubuque, died Thursday, Dec. 5, 2002, at Madonna Towers.
A Requiem Mass for the repose of his soul will be at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at Madonna Towers, with the Rev. Thomas Rhomberg and the Rev. Francis Dyer officiating. There will be no visitation. The body was given to the Mayo Foundation.
Mr. Rhomberg was secretary of a small brewing company in Dubuque before his retirement and the sale of the business in 1971.
He was a graduate of Loras College and held law degrees from Iowa and Georgetown universities. He was a member of the Dubuque Men's Association, the Knights of Columbus, the Catholic Order of Foresters and the Dominican Laity.
Surviving are his wife, the former Mary Lucille Lonergan, whom he married in 1938; and nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph H. and Elizabeth (Meuser) Rhomberg; two brothers; and a sister.
Memorials may be given to Madonna Towers Foundation, Loras College and Clarke College.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Montfort United Methodist Church, with Pastor Thomas Ball officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery , Montfort. She was born on Nov. 9, 1907, in La Crosse, daughter of Jasper and Aletha Lesta (David) Palmer. She married Henry J. O'Brien on March 25, 1937, in Montfort.
Surviving are two sons, John (Jane) O'Brien, of Montfort, and James (Claudia) O'Brien, of Fennimore; a daughter, Priscella (James) Laufenberg, of Verona; and five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Henry, on Nov. 1, 1988.

SHEBOYGAN FALLS, Wis. - Helen Lucille Bell, 94, formerly of N7358 Highway 32, Sheboygan Falls, died Thursday, Dec. 5, 2002, at Beach Healthcare Center of the Sheboygan Retirement Home.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Furlong Funeral Home, Shullsburg, with the Rev. Brenda Whitford officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery , Shullsburg. Friends may call after 1 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
She was born on Oct. 26, 1908, in Parkston, S.D., daughter of Theodore and Mabel (Doering) True. She was raised in Darlington and graduated from Darlington High School in 1927.
She married Charles Harold Bell in September 1928, in Galena, Ill.; he died on Aug. 31, 2000.
She was a member of Saron United Church of Christ, Sheboygan Falls. She was a devoted and caring mother.
Surviving are a son, Derald (Jean) Bell, of Sheboygan; two daughters, Mary Bell (Joe Deden), of Lanesboro, Minn., and Dorothy (Michael) Liska, of Green Bay; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and three brothers, Francis True, of Maquoketa, Iowa, Norman True, of Hanover, Ill., and Winfield True, of Galena.
She was preceded in death by a son, Charles Bell Jr.; a sister, Sadie Jerry; and two brothers, Warren and Roy True.
A Helen L. Bell Memorial Fund has been established.
